Great place for exceptionally fresh and well prepared sushi. The atmosphere is a mix of cozy and modern. The seating seems like it is a little bit of a mix of multiple different styles and can be a little bit confusing. The naturally light is refreshing but also makes for a very very bright environment. The music choice is a little bit rough. Whatever station they had on did not at all seem to set the mood for the nice visual atmosphere they’ve created. The pacing of the food is a little bit sporadic with things coming out as they’re prepared, with a lot of inconsistency in the timing of multiple apps/drinks that were ordered at the same time. The service is friendly and pleasant but not anything to write home about or to leave a lasting impression of the experience. Now the real highlight is the food, specifically the sushi. Unique and extensive menu with absolutely delectable raw fish items prepared beautifully. Some of the most delicious melt-in-your mouth fatty tuna, red snapper, etc. I didn’t think the price was anything crazy for good sushi, a lot of value for your money spent. The also have a nice extensive sake menu and a full bar. Lovely place and am excited to return again.

Went on a Friday night. Made a reservation, which I’d recommend for high traffic times. We got cocktails, hibachi, sushi, and the orange mousse dessert. Service was great. The food was great. Hibachi portions were massive. The orange mousse was pricey and delicious.

What a fantastic find! I recently had the pleasure of dining at a sushi spot in Dublin, Ohio, and it was a great experience. To start, I ordered a dirty martini, and it was expertly crafted—chilled to perfection with just the right amount of brine and topped off with a touch of class: blue cheese olives. It was a great way to kick things off. For the main event, I opted for a Chriashi plate, and it did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly fresh and buttery, practically melting in my mouth. Each piece was beautifully presented and showcased the chef's skill and attention to detail. This is a must-visit for anyone in the Dublin, Ohio, area looking for top-notch sushi and great drinks. I went twice in my 4 day stay.

It honestly pains me to leave negative reviews, but I believe in providing genuine feedback. I used to love this place, but it has gone down in quality. I used to enjoy watching them take the time and care to polish the glasses while sitting at the bar. Sadly, that is no longer the case. The glass at my table had fingerprints, lip prints, residue, and appeared extremely unclean. It leaves a very negative impression when this has to be pointed out. We ordered the Sweet Potato Fries ($8.50), and the Bluefin Tuna Tartare ($23) as our appetizer, which was a disgrace to Bluefin tuna. We could barely taste the tuna itself, and it is placed on a mound of untreated mashed avocado. The sauce that should be marinating the fish is served on the side, but it (and the caviar) are the only things that carry the dish. It came with 6 toasted crackers, nowhere near enough for the amount of tartare that was provided. Not even for one person. We asked for more and were informed there would be a $3 charge for another order of the store bought toasted crackers. We declined, as we found them to be an odd pairing anyway. The fries were over baked freezer fries. Our sushi and our server salvaged our experience. My husband ordered bluefin sashimi with his rolls. As the picture clearly indicates, the tuna used to prepare the "Bluefin" Tartare does not appear as (or taste like) the same quality of tuna used for the sashimi. If you are seeking an over-priced mediocre sushi experience, then this is your place. The atmosphere is nice, service is decent, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. You can easily find better quality elsewhere in Dublin.

First time eating here. Tried the lunch Yaki Udon with chicken. Noodles were great but the chicken was so overcooked I couldn’t eat it. Tough, stringy and incredibly dry. Manager was extremely apologetic and discounted my meal 20% ($2.60). While that was a nice gesture, I really wanted protein with my noodles. But now I know to not order chicken if I decide to try dining there again. So disappointed.

My friends & I came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was my first time here & every team member we interacted with was so friendly, patient & helpful! We did have just a small 10-15 min wait to be sat since we did not have a reservation. Our server Ashton was genuinely the highlight of our visit. One of my friends has a gluten intolerance & he was very considerate and knowledgeable about the GF menu options. His overall energy, overwhelming positivity, willingness to help, knowledge of the menu, ability to upsell us & relatability made our experience truly memorable & we would love to sit in his section again!! Thank you Ashton for making me realize I LOVE lychees. 🫶🏽 Photos of the Galaxy Roll I devoured attached!

Google
Song Lan Restaurant in Dublin is a hidden gem! I had never met anyone who had eaten there, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We went for lunch today and—WOW! Everything was amazing. The Gyoza and Crab Rangoon Tarts were both outstanding, and our entrées were just as delicious. I had the steak hibachi with vegetables and fried rice, while he had the tempura chicken and vegetables. Both came with a fresh garden salad topped with a creamy ginger dressing that was absolutely delicious. Not only will we go back, but Song Lan may have just become our new favorite spot for Asian dining. P.S. The apple sake was a fun and tasty bonus!

Google
The food is sooo good! Excellent presentation and flavors. I loved the way they serve the crab rangoons. The service is kind. The place is cute and clean. Sure will back. The patio is pet friendly and they bring water for my dog!.

Yelp
Song Lan is my favorite fancy sushi spot in Columbus! The quality of their sushi is immaculate and everything tastes incredibly fresh! The ambiance is perfect for a date, Valentine's Day or any special occasion. The service is very professional and they'll help you with any recommendations or accommodations. Song Lan has some of my favorite rolls in town. The Angry Lobster Roll is my favorite here and it tastes phenomenal! The Manhattan roll is always a great choice, & the Volcano roll is perfect if you're feeling a little spicy The crispy rice and one of their crisp cocktails is a great way to start out the meal! Give them a try the next time you're craving some delicious sushi!

Yelp
YE Gurl Says: Dublin Date Night at Song Lan **Date:** September 7, 2025 **Place:** Song Lan, Dublin **Server:** Brian - full of energy and eager to make the night smooth. It's always a win when you get an independent restaurant coupon and can try someplace new without feeling like you're rolling dice on the bill. Add perfect weather, a favorite walking spot nearby, and the Tesla ready to cruise--this evening was set. We started with the Kataifi Shrimp ($12)--shrimp wrapped in shredded phyllo dough and paired with a coconut cream sauce. Crisp, light, and a clever twist. The Crab Rangoon Tartlets ($11) followed, swapping out fried wontons for flaky pastry crust--sweet crab mix, rich but not heavy. Sake lovers take note: the Hot House Sake ($14) was just what the night needed. For sushi, we went all in: * Toro Tartar Roll ($16): Toro (the fatty underbelly of tuna) gave this roll a softer, almost mushy texture, but that's toro being toro. Paired with scallions, jalapeño, and oshinko--it worked. * Crunchy California ($10): A tempura-fried twist on a classic. Kani, cucumber, avocado--comfort food sushi. * Coconut Shrimp Roll ($9): Coconut tempura shrimp, mango, cucumber, topped with coconut mayo and flakes. Tropical and fun. * American Dream Roll ($18): Deep-fried smoked salmon, kani, white fish, avocado, and cream cheese, finished with three house sauces. Bold, indulgent, and true to its name--extra. YE Gurl says: Song Lan is perfect for when you want sushi night with personality. It's a blend of creative flair and comfort classics, made better by great service and a neighborhood stroll afterward.

Yelp
Overview: definitely not Akai Hana, but still yummy. Service was friendly but not very attentive (empty water cups much if the meal, no description of dishes until they were half eaten, etc), menu has a lot of American style rolls (lots of mayo and cream cheese). Food took 40 min+ to arrive. Decor is cute enough but kind of rectangular if that makes sense. It's not like, muy authentico or anything, ya know? BUT. The sushi, when it did arrive, was extremely delicious. The sashimi was on point, the sushi was tender, fresh and flavorful, and the flavor combinations were both fun and yummy (try the truffle dish). That's the main thing. Plus, there is a full bar, and there are plenty of fusion dishes to please the palates of friends who are not adventurous. Overall: would recommend!

Yelp
AMAZING SUSHI!! I have pretty high standards for food and even higher standards for sushi, so I was genuinely so impressed with Song Lan, especially for being in Ohio. I ordered the sushi boat which had two full size specialty maki rolls, about 8 pieces of nigiri and 10-ish pieces of sashimi ranging from octopus, swai, yellowtail, and toro. It was incredible, and every piece of fish was insanely fresh. Melted like butter in your mouth with no fishy taste. The service was also excellent and attentive. That night they were serving Helen's Heavenly desserts, and the tangerine mousse cake was incredible. I've had a lot of sushi in my life, including in Japan, and SongLan is definitely in one of my top contenders.

Yelp
Song Lan continues to be one of the best sushi places in town. Today we shared an age tofu, the salmon family roll, the triple roll, and salmon nigiri. All excellent. The service here is top notch and today was no exception. Also, it does appear that the cleanliness issue from a prior visit has been resolved.

Yelp
We celebrated our anniversary at Song Lan this evening, our waitress, Grace, was so kind and attentive. We ordered the center roll (my favorite), bluefin tuna and avocado, and a spicy salmon roll! All were super fresh and delicious. For drinks, I ordered a shiso sipper, which was really strong. I actually diluted it a little with the complimentary cocktail they bought us and it was much better! Song lan is so special to us and we love dining here!
google avatar

Yelp
I went with a group of my friends for my birthday. We got a bunch of different sushi rolls and they were all delicious. The server asked us what we were there celebrating and even came back with a customized Happy Birthday note on the top of the mocktail I ordered. 8 of us fit perfectly in their large half booth. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere was all great.

Yelp
After 2 years, I tried to convince myself to give this place another chance after hearing some good reviews but nope... STILL THE SAME. They are so slow. They close at 9. I came around 7:30, got seated shortly after, and placed my order. I didn't get my food until 8:22 , almost 45 minutes later. The server only showed up when bringing out the food. After it, I barely see them. I ordered oysters, some sashimi, the Sunset Roll, and aged tofu. Everything felt not cold enough, not just room temperature, but more like the food had been sitting out for a while before it was served. They should serve the sashimi before everything else, not at the same time to keep it fresh. Overall, the flavors were quite average and nothing really stood out. - Oysters: 1/10 unfortunately not cold enough and lacking in flavor. - Sashimi: warm. - Scallops: 5/10 the seasoning could be better. - Sunset Roll: 4/10. - Aged tofu: bland and smoky

Yelp
Had a lovely Saturday lunch at the bar. Not busy and bartender serving us was great. The crispy tuna appetizer was delicious and the riverside roll was excellent as well. A little difficult to eat in the stacked format but flavor was great. Cocktails were just okay. Didn't love their take on the margarita and the signature cocktail was a little too lavender forward for me. All personal preference base. I've had plenty of great cocktails here. Also love the vibe. Very bright and clean. Until next time!

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere! Food is beyond delicious!! This is from an out of town guest 100% recommend!!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was exceptional and atmosphere was very pleasant. The shrimp tempura and vegetables tempura was excellent. There's an assortment of tempura broccoli, onion ring, mushrooms, squash and zucchini. Definitely a delicious meal, which I started with a cup of miso soup! Incidentally, there's a variety of sushi which probably has everything you can imagine.

Yelp
Some of the best rolls I've ever had - highly recommend! Favorite rolls: Lobster and Pink Dragon (though all the ones we had were delicious) Favorite Cocktail: Nori Nior

Yelp
Such great sushi! Ashton was our server and he did a phenomenal job-- so knowledgeable and kind. The restaurant looked amazing as well. Definitely adding Song Lan to our list of date night restaurants.

Yelp
Five stars for Song Lan in Dublin, OH! If you are searching for the best sushi experience in the greater Columbus area, this is the place! The food is fantastic. Everything we've tried is incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and always delicious. It easily beats out every other sushi spot we've visited nearby. But what truly sets Song Lan apart is the incredible hospitality, especially from our server, Terrance. Terrance is an absolute gem. He makes you feel genuinely welcome the second you sit down, and brings something special and fun to the dining experience. Seriously, if you go, ask to be seated in Terrance's section. His positive energy and attentive service make the meal a blast. Great food, even better service--Song Lan is our new go-to, and it should be yours, too!

Yelp
So delicious!! We went for lunch and got the 2 sushi combo lunch and the scallop roll. The service was excellent. The atmosphere clean and inviting. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Food was fantastic, really nice resteraunt, well set out, we had a booth, and had a really well paced service from our super friendly waiter. We ordered appetizers, edamame, and dumplings, followed by some rally nice sushi. We really enjoyed our experience there, it was not too expensive, and would recommend to anyone looking for great sushi! it was a little bit of a drive for us, but we will be back

Yelp
We visited Bridge Park for the farmer's market and decided to give Song Lan a try and came away pretty disappointed in the food. We found the sushi to be on par with Fusian - which is fast casual, the crab Rangoon was overloaded with cream cheese, and overall the food really just suffered from a lack of execution. The ambiance is really nice and the prices are acceptable given the location, though the sake prices are bewilderingly expensive for what they are. Service was OK but a bit slow, to the point we weren't able to order a second drink before we just said screw it let's go. We would give Song Lan another shot based on the reviews from others who seemed to really enjoy their meals, but if what we had was indicative of a normal experience I hate to say I think they just don't know good food from bad.

Yelp
Best sushi at Bridge park! My first time here and I loved it! The atmosphere and decor is trendy and fun. The service was outstanding. And the sushi was well presented and delicious. It's a little more expensive but it was so good.

Yelp
Such a fantastic experience at Bridge Park's Song Lan Restaurant. The restaurant is so beautifully decorated and feels very upscale and welcoming. Our waiter, Pete was exactly the same way. He was able to give us recommendations of his favorite rolls and made our experience even better. My friend and I ordered an abundance of rolls and split them of course. My favorite roll by far was the Fantastic roll. The Fantastic roll comes with Spicy Crawfish salad, Yellowtail inside, topped with Seared Japanese Scallops, Yuzu Tobiko, and Spicy Mayo. We also got the Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Scallop (Pete's recommendation), Tiger Roll, and the Kiss of Fire Roll. The Tiger Roll comes with Spicy Tuna inside, Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail Eel on the top, finished with Tempura Flakes, Masago, Scallions and Spicy Mayoand Eel Sauce. The Kiss of Fire Roll comes with Spicy Tuna and Avocado inside, Tuna, White Tuna, Jalapeno Spicy Mayo on top. All amazing options. They even have homemade wasabi which is pictured below. My friend's boyfriend doesn't eat sushi so also enjoy his Chicken Hibachi which he was missing out. It was also really tasty but cmon get some sushi at a sushi restaurant.

Yelp
Such great service and good. The servers r awesome :) food always comes out fresh and on time.

Yelp
We previously skipped this restaurant because we thought the sushi would be too expensive based on the things I've read. However, we finally gave in to came to celebrate a special occasion... and we'll be back! To our surprise, everything we ordered was reasonably priced. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and creative. It was plentiful, as well, because we ordered 4 rolls and shared 2 of them. The cocktail (coconut lime) was refreshing. Additionally, the ambiance is chic and inviting, and our waiter was attentive. A down side, but not a major flaw, was that they ran out of an uni appetizer & particular dessert, and the soy sauce pot was chipped (so it looked a bit janky on the table). When you come here, be sure to make a reservation, because even on a Sunday the restaurant was pleasantly full. On a side note, we originally chose to sit "outside", but got a text beforehand asking if we would like to change our minds because of the heat wave - love that!

Yelp
This was our second time coming here since we've been in Columbus. We love the location because it's right in bridge park and there's a lot of cool places to walk to before or after. The restaurant itself has a really beautiful and charming inside. We were quickly seated after arriving in a booth and our server greeted us almost instantly. They were very attentive and kind. We wanted to get a variety of items, so we just ordered à la cart and shared. We got 5 different rolls and some nigiri as well. For the rolls we got a Tiger, dynamite, flying dragon, kiss of fire, and volcano roll. We also got the tuna and salmon nigiri. They were nice enough to even set it up in a sushi boat for us. We loved it all and plan to be back! The restaurant mentioned the previous time, and this time that they're continuing to expand, and will be introducing a happy hour soon! We look forward to seeing the growth :-)

Yelp
I was glad we choose this for our dinner night out with family. The food was delicate and fresh , There was great taste and nice ambience. Thanks to the staff and Song Lan.

Yelp
We were in Dublin for business and wanted to find a good spot to eat dinner. This restaurant wasn't busy, so we got a table right away. The service was good, although the waiter served me the wrong dish, forgetting that my colleague ordered it. She ordered the Hibachi steak with fried rice, which was abundant. Unfortunately, I thought my sushi roll and hand roll were mediocre, small and thin. I've had much better at other places.
google avatar

Saphace A.

Yelp
Great vibes at this restaurant! They had a good playlist going! Staff was super friendly and really nice. They had a large party at the back, but it didn't seem like they were less attentive to other groups. It's a really nice space! Lots of natural light and outdoor seating. Their drinks are delicious too! I got some sort of tea cocktail that was unique! They are changing up the cocktail menu but I'm interested to see what they'll add. My friend had one that had foam made from egg whites. Interesting stuff! I got the California roll and two types of nigiri: salmon and hamachi. Very fresh! They are owned by the same person who owns 1126 down in short north, one of my favorite restaurants. The menu seems about the same, so my friend ordered a specialty roll that she had before from 1126. It's nice to have sushi options around Dublin, since it's a lot to go down to short north. I'd definitely come back! Love it here!

Yelp
Haven't dined here in a while but just as i remembered, amazing quality seafood and great service!!! We got the lunch boat and featured Washington oysters!

Yelp
We sat on the inviting patio, soaking in the lively energy of people strolling by. Though there wasn't much of a breeze, we managed to keep an annoying fly from joining us for sushi (teamwork makes the dream work, right?). Our server was fantastic--sorry I didn't catch your name! We arrived around 6:30 p.m. on October 4, 2024, and she made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. (Also, my husband loved your pen collection. He's a fan!) The Don Julio Blanco margaritas were spot-on, and the lobster roll? Delicious! I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more of those delectable rolls. While I lean toward sashimi, my husband prefers the raw fish-free options, so we compromised and got the tempura rolls, which were perfectly prepared and not drowning in sauce (a win for both of us!). The fresh ginger was the cherry on top, enhancing every bite. Everything tasted fresh and delicious--can't wait to return!

Yelp
First off, RIP Hen's Quarter, but definitely awful what happened to the staff. I will miss the food and great service we always got. I had high expectations for this new spot because of the caliber of restaurants in its vicinity. Overall, was very disappointed with the staff and the food. We had a reservation for 5:45, got our drinks (mostly incorrect beers) at 6:30, and didn't receive food we ordered till 7:30. The staff was not knowledgeable about the menu or the drinks and showed a lack of concern about our table. I ordered two sushi rolls and a salad and only received the sushi which we saw sitting out at the bar while they talked for about 30 minutes. We also never got an apology that I never received my salad, just an "oh yeah that never did come did it", I'm sorry what? Only way I would ever go back is if the service was to get better. I am giving them a two stars because the food our table did receive was decent, ie the soft shell crab and the rock shrimp. Not worth the time or money going in my opinion.
google avatar

Douglas G.

Yelp
While I was disappointed to see Hen Quarter leave this spot, couldn't be more happy to have this place take its place. The staff was great, our waiter (Mike) was friendly and helpful with some great recommendations. Absolutely nothing to complain about this place. Ambience was great, drink selection was solid and the food was amazing. We stopped in for lunch and ordered a variety. Son ordered hibachi chicken and it was not like the swill you get from the places that make it in front of you. Great flavor and solid mix of veggies and rice. My daughter and I split a variety of sushi; Galaxy roll, spicy tuna and crunchy California. Excellent! The spicy tuna contained some crunchies which helped to differentiate from the standard. Beautiful presentation and the Galaxy roll definitely sets itself apart. The wife got Yaki Udon with chicken and the serving was huge. She claimed that it kept growing; we all got to sample and the flavors were great. And the drink menu is expansive and varied. The House infused Honey Melon sake was great. Will definitely return and looking forward to it.

Yelp
Last week I ended up here with a couple of friends because the place we were originally planning to go to was closed that day. This restaurant is located in bridge park so there is lots of free garage parking available. When we walked in we all thought the inside was gorgeous. It was dinner time and we got seated right away. Our server was very nice and we got our food in a timely manner. I ordered the maki combo because I was so hungry and cold. It comes with miso soup and lots of rolls for a decent price. The miso soup was delicious and so were the rolls. It came with a yellowtail, salmon, and tuna roll. The sizes were as expected. I'm not sure why but I felt like their soy sauce was more rich than what I've had in the past. Overall I had a great experience and would return here for some delicious sushi!
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I accidentally stumbled on this place in Bridgepark, and we ended up having a really great time. The hostess stand had these guava candies that were delicious. We went at about 6:30 on a Wednesday. There was no wait and plenty of seating. We also parked in a free parking garage right next door, which had plenty of room! Inside the restaurant, the flowers and decor hanging from the ceiling over our heads while we ate was so beautiful -- the ambiance was my favorite part. I ordered the tempura udon bowl, which was huge!! I was so thrilled to have leftovers. I also got a Philadelphia roll on the side. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. Looking forward to returning soon.

Yelp
First and foremost, sucks that Hen Quarter closed the way it did - but it had been years since I visited and everyone told me it had gone drastically downhill (the waitress I always saw was amazing there!) Met my buddy for lunch - he had been here before, and I don't get to eat enough sushi. Service: 11:30am we got there, and they were spot on. He gave up filling me water and brought me a carafe, because I was downing it. Stay hydrated. Food: We ordered edamame, yellowtail jalapeño, and sushi and sashimi for two. The edamame was fairly basic - I mean, it's steamed edamame. A good start. The yellowtail jalapeño was DELICIOUS (no photo, sorry, we were busy talking). Thinly sliced, laid in a dressing, each piece topped with jalapeño. Tasty. The boat (pictured) - so much fish. We got through most of it except for the rolls (we attempted, but couldn't finish the rolls). The variety was perfect. The flavor/texture was perfect. Now - I ENJOY sushi, but by no means am I master of "Oh, this is X, that's Y..." I just know "that fish tasted good, it wasn't chewy, it didn't leave me feeling like I had a fish oil pill." It was topped with a variety of accoutrements - tobiko, masago... it really took it up a notch from being "just stereotypical sashimi and nigiri." I get that this may be too much for some people - there's nothing wrong with not digging the place. But it's a nice addition to the area, with a solid offering of sushi so far.

Yelp
Who knew you could get such great sushi in Dublin Ohio? Amazing addition to Bridge Park! Great staff and they offer more than just your normal kind of sushi like striped jack and baby yellow tail. The salmon skin salad could have been a bit crispier but delicious and a huge portion. Can't wait to return for more deliciousness!

Abbey D.

Yelp
The food is great and the location at Bridge Park is perfect. However, in the four times I have visited, I always leave disappointed by the service. It feels like your server forgets about you for about 20-30 minutes consistently. If you're hungry, I would choose another spot. It will be about 30 minutes before you place an order and an hour until you get to eat. However, if you have the time and the patience, the food is great.

Christopher D.

Yelp
I went to Song Lan for the first time, and it was amazing. I ordered the Surf and Turf roll (shrimp and filet mignon), and it was delicious, as well as the crème brûlée for dessert. Tom, our waiter, was very courteous and attentive. I will definitely go back.
google avatar

Melitta S.

Yelp
Christian our Server made the experience!! He was awesome!!! We came for sushi and Sapporo. We delighted in eel, spicy scallops, shrimp, Boston roll and fatu mako rolls. Everything was inhaled. I love the ambiance... music playing in the background makes you feel like you're not in Ohio for the night. Date night success

Yelp
Really great sushi here: Spicy yellowtail roll & Salmon avocado Top Appetizers to choose from: Gyoza & Edamame For anyone who doesn't eat sushi They have great tasting Hibachi plates Steak (filet Mignon) & Chicken

Yelp
Food was good and atmosphere was ok. They took over the former Hen Quarter restaurant therefore the layout felt the same when we walked in. Went for a girlfriend's birthday dinner. Music was loud while we were talking and they finally turned it down when they realized it was hard for them to hear us order. We ordered their Saki drink that came with a cool contraption for serving and keeping the drinks cold. We ordered: Seared tuna tartar Shu Mai - fried (we asked to be fried) 5 speciality rolls Birthday crème brûlée for the birthday girl All in all we had a fun time and dinner was good.

Yelp
Made reservations about 3 weeks in advanced to celebrate an anniversary (was told by a friend that walking in on the weekend would be nearly impossible). Walking in the door I initially felt it smelled a little fishy. Possibly because it looked like the front room by the door was being used as a large sushi kitchen (I believe there is a bar also available in that room). Once checked in we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We were initially seated outside. Our table was very wobbly and it was extremely loud. I kindly asked if we could be reseated inside. The hostess moved us to a table inside right away, I was very thankful as we were looking for a more intimate dinner. Overall, I was slightly disappointed with the quality of fish. The tuna especially tasted fishy. Peppered tuna is one of my favorite dishes, this one seemed a little dry. The volcano roll had excellent flavor, but it was not warm. A little surprised that The 1126 Restaurant is their sister restaurant, as the quality of fish seemed drastically different. Overall, would come back solely for the premium sake experience and crispy tuna appetizer. The truffle oil was apparent by smell, but not overpowering in taste. It was unique and delicious! HIGHLY recommend splurging on the Rihaku Origins of Purity sake. I will say our server, Mike, was phenomenal! He deserves a raise. He was gracefully managing a bar & several tables. He visited our table just frequently enough where we felt we had time to review the menu and have privacy/enjoy each dish. Our water was always full and table clear for new dishes. Pro Tip: if you want to experience the glass sake cooler you need to order a premium bottle of sake ($70+ bottles) and you cannot sit outside. They do not allow the sake coolers outside.

Yelp
So glad we finally got to check this place out. Great spot, gorgeous interior. Amazing menu, lots of different options and honestly all of the food was great. Service was friendly, cocktails were tasty too. Highly recommend the Gin & Tea, such a lovely well balanced cocktail and unique too! Their fish was high quality and enjoyable, rolls were delicious. Definitely recommend the yellow tail jalapeño. We also got the pan fried gyoza which were great. Only gripe honestly was the price! I won't fault them for that, I know the past 3 years cost of goods and food have skyrocketed so to be expected especially for a sushi joint. We are also spoiled with our west coast sushi (just moved from there) and feel like you get more bang for your buck there. I'd definitely come back though! Overall great experience.

Yelp
Pros: Great location in Bridge Park (old Hen Quarter) Nice decor That is all Cons: Service was slow - it took us 15 min to be greeted by our server We were sat in the sushi bar area and saw tons of food that just sat there getting warm. Sushi in rolls should not be warm. Our food came out in stages over 1 hour, so there was only 1-2 people consuming their food at a time. It didn't matter we had reservations because it still took a really long time for us to place our order, get served, and get our bill. We watched the bartender muddle through making drinks. He really liked shaking ice. He beat the snot out of several cocktails. The food was mediocre at best. Shrimp tempura roll was ok, but lacked flavor. Very little Masago and way too much cucumber. I've had better Beef hibachi from a takeout place like Genjigo. Salmon roll was ok, but I question the amount of time it sat out after it was made since our server was so slow at getting it to us. Communication was horrible throughout. No one seemed to know what was going on. Prices were exorbitant, but I would have gladly paid this amount for better service and moderately better food. We definitely won't be back. Pro tip: If you must visit, then wait for them to iron out their staffing issues.

Yelp
I went to Song Lang with a group of 5 friends on a weekday. We had a reservation and we got a table once we got there. Our waitress was fantastic! She had great energy and was able to give good recommendations for food and drinks. The ambiance was great! I had a lychee martini which I really enjoyed. I am gluten free and they did have a gluten free menu that had decent options for appetizers but not sushi rolls. In order to get gluten free sushi, the options were very plain rolls or specialty rolls with almost everything removed (all sauces and other toppings). The sushi roll I was able to order was very limited. They did provide gluten free Tamari but I was disappointed in the lack of gluten free options. My friends did get sushi that looked fantastic, however, being gluten free I am not sure I would return.

Yelp
Reservations are recommended. Had a lovely Friday night dinner at Song Lan. We were there kind of early and had the whole covered patio to ourselves for awhile. It is heated and was comfortable. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and sweet. We got some edamame and several sushi rolls. The bluefin and yellowtail tuna were tasty. We also got one of the specialty rolls and it was amazing! The flavor was on point. We had a lot of food but didn't feel overly uncomfortable afterwards. This would definitely be a sushi place I would visit again.

Yelp
Song Lan was an amazing place for a dinner with my friend. We sat on the beautiful enclosed patio. The restaurant offered a large variety of Asian cuisine. It was so delicious. I highly recommend the gyoza appetizer. I also had the miso truffle udon which was superb. Our server was very upbeat and attentive and made the night extra fun.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and knew the menu down to a tee. All the rolls tasted fabulous. The restaurant's soft music and candlelight gave it a romantic ambience.

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable evening at Song Lan -- sushi was delicious (especially recommend the fresh uncooked rolls) as was the salmon appetizer named the "Sake Bomb" and the yellowtail jalapeño app. Attractive, upscale dining room with varied options (patio, booths, tables) and excellent service; our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the view of the Bridge Park sunset from our table. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Recently visited here for my dads birthday and we all loved it. We started with the pork dumplings, edamame and the truffle tuna appetizers. I didn't get photos because they were so good we dug in too quick! The truffle tuna was the star of the show. We were then treated to saki on the house as a little celebratory toast, which was very nice. Then we ordered a bunch of sushi which was displayed beautifully on a fun sushi boat. We really enjoyed all of them except the volcano roll, it just wasn't that great. The service was wonderful, and the food was delish. I will definitely be back to try more of the insane amount of sushi rolls they offer!
