"Three futuristic glass domes stand in South Lake Union: the crown jewels of the e-tail giant's $4 billion urban campus and a striking, sculptural tribute toSeattle's role as an innovation hub. The tallest shelters a river and waterfalls hovering over tropical gardens kept lush at 72°F (22°C) and 60 percent humidity—a microclimate like that inCosta Rica's Central Valley. Over 800 Amazonians can roam the interconnected botanical bubbles at once. Amazon opens the Spheres to the public two Saturdays a month by reservation (available online up to 30 days in advance). Fuel up on coffee and donuts at General Porpoise, a café captained by Renee Erickson, named the James Beard Best Chef Northwest of 2016."

A very beautiful and unusual place. It’s one of the spots in and around Seattle that you should definitely visit if you get the chance. Here you can see a mix of modern architectural design and the wild nature of the jungle. In person, it looks truly breathtaking and unreal. After visiting this place, you feel as if you’ve been in a National Geographic movie. It’s incredibly inspiring. I even saw, for the first time in my life, how a cacao tree grows.

The Amazon Spheres are absolutely breathtaking - a unique combination of modern architecture and lush nature. Walking inside feels like stepping into a tropical forest, right in the middle of downtown Seattle. The design is impressive: massive glass domes filled with exotic plants from around the world, peaceful walkways, and cozy seating areas. There’s even a cafe inside where you can grab a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. Please note - the Spheres are closed to the public most days, but there are select days when you can visit for free with a reservation. It’s definitely worth planning ahead to experience this incredible space. Great for plant lovers, photographers, or anyone looking for a peaceful and unique escape in the middle of the city!

Free admission for public every first and third Saturdays. Beautiful place with nice plants. Kid friendly. Parking is tough around here.

I didn’t realize you have to make a weekend reservation two weeks in advance in order to walk around inside the spheres proper, so I just explored the bottom floor, which is open to the public Monday through Friday. Probably not as cool as the indoor botanical garden, but still very fun to look at, with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, all the frogs were hiding from me! I hope I get to see them next time. This place also has my favorite bathrooms in the city— several available and extremely clean!

Nice garden that reminded me of the gardens by the bay in Singapore, except smaller. Of course I liked the domes in Singapore more, but this one is still really cool. The top floor was closed when I visited unfortunately. Worth visiting if you have a friend at Amazon or can snag a ticket for one of the 2 Saturdays each month

Amazing experience! What an incredible opportunity in Seattle. This unique and unforgettable space provides a beautiful oasis where people can relax, explore, connect with nature and enjoy the comfort of being inside while also feeling like you are connecting with the outside as you will find yourself surrounded by plants from all over the world, water features, pathways, natural light and lots of vibrant colors of nature. Each part of this spectacular building is created so artistically and is pleasing to the eye. You can expect to explore multiple levels with each level offering something unique and engaging. There are so many little touches and details throughout the space that are photo worthy and that are family friendly. The staff helping out and assisting with the Sphere tour were kind, upbeat and friendly upon welcome and exit. This experience allowed for guest to learn about all the different plants around the world and provided additional animal exhibitions such as Fish Tanks and Terrarium windows. Highly recommend visiting this iconic architecture and beauty inside.

This place is very cool. It's a giant green house with native plants from all around the world. It's also a nice place to rest for a while since there are a lot of chairs, sofas and reclining chairs where you can chill with a coffee or a tea.

Visited The Sphere during the public open days after making a reservation, and it was an amazing family experience. The architecture and design were truly breathtaking, and the immersive visuals made the visit unforgettable. It’s definitely worth seeing in person, and we’re glad we got the chance to enjoy it together as a family.
