Sa Domu Sarda

Our dinner here was an absolutely amazing experience. Starting with the staff, everyone was very welcoming, the hospitality of this restaurant is unmatched in Cagliari. The wine recommended by our lovely waiter was also excellent and the food was an experience of its own. When dining here, definitely try the aubergine starter, the traditional sardinian malloreddus and culurgiones stuffed with mint and potatoes. You can’t go wrong with finishing your meal with tiramisu. I definitely recommend making a reservation, otherwise there’s a very good chance you won’t be able to get a table. Don’t skip this place on your next visit to Cagliari, we definitely won’t!

- Went without a reservation so got an outside seating. The food was great, I would say a bit pricier as a tourist location (that it has become) but in my opinion worth it if you fancy the menu. The sauces and fillings are on point 🙏 - Two things for which I won't give 5/5, the first one being the really quick service. I almost never complain about that but the dishes were probably not made upon our order, that would have been impossible time wise. As I thought this would be a slow food kind of place it felt more that they wanted volumes of clients (at least for the non reserved tables). Also, the Casu furriau (pecorino) had too little honey on it too feel the sweetness with the cheese.

This place was absolutely amazing the pasta dishes were delicate and amazing and also the sauce was not overpowering but just enough. Also I had the donkey which is not pictured and it is like a stew of roast beef, similar in flavor. Pro-tip is it looks like the restaurant is small and only one section but if you walk through the kitchen to the back where the bathroom is it's a lot more lively and twice as big that's where you should sit up on entering. I highly recommend this place and believe that it is underrated. We also had a pilsner beer and the red beer in my opinion the red beer one and was amazing as well.

Everything was great. Very delicious We take pork, pasta 3 types and more food and all of them were very delicious The deserts they have a traditional we don’t understand it. Tiramisu was great

Excellent experience. The staff is very attentive and well organized. Food is gorgeous. From the pasta dish, through the main course till desert everything was perfect. We can personally recommend most the horse steak (juicy & tender!) and ravioli with leeks and saffron, but everything we tried was really good. Heavily recommended place! If you do not make a reservation, better come at the opening time.

It’s a very busy place - we waited about 30 minutes to be seated, but it was well worth it. The food was delicious, and the wine they recommended was a great match. Highly recommend trying the beef carpaccio :) The only downside was the noise from a nearby kebab spot, where people were drinking and shouting, but that’s not really something the restaurant can control.

Great experience at Sa Domu Sarda! The food was amazing, full of rich local flavors that really reflect Sardinian cuisine. The service stood out too, everyone was so warm and helpful, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s a shame you can’t book a table on the terrace, so we had a short wait, but it wasn’t a big deal. If you're in Cagliari and want something traditional, this is the place to go.

A beautiful looking restaurant with food to match. The portions were large and quality high. The pork knuckle was really impressive. Prices are ok given the good food. Was a nice atmosphere inside this popular restaurant and service was very professional.

Had this restaurant my first night in Cagliari and it is the place to be for traditional local cuisine. The staff were extremely friendly and it was easy to communicate with them in English. The prices were reasonable and the food was absolutely delectable. Will be thinking about this meal whenever I think of Cagliari!

Exceptional food and wine at very reasonable prices. Don't miss the 'gran tagliere di salumi e formaggi' - the coppa is to die for! Service was prompt and courteous, and both servers we had gave us helpful suggestions.

Amazing! Traditional Sardegnian restaurant. Did the fixed menu for 20 euros. Every dish was outstanding. The server was friendly and helpful. Will be going back again before we leave.
