I visited Saasna in Msheireb today, and my experience was a mix of positives and negatives. The place itself is beautifully designed, with a warm and elegant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience.
However, the food took quite a long time to arrive, and when it did, the quality was inconsistent. The chicken madrouba was delicious with a great texture, but the chicken biryani was disappointing—the chicken was tough and not properly cooked. The pasta with meat was not only too firm but also had an excessive amount of oil.
Additionally, the green peas were dry and not tender.
For the price, I expected better quality. While the ambiance and service were enjoyable, the food still needs improvement, both in terms of cooking and reducing wait times. If these issues are addressed, the restaurant could be a great spot for enjoying local cuisine with an upscale touch.
