Has potential, but quality control is lacking.
We were excited to try Sassna and ordered four dishes: Jereesh, Shrimp Soup, Keema with Yogurt, and an Onions & Tomatoes Salad.
The Good: The core taste of the main dishes is promising. The Jereesh and Keema had a good, traditional flavor profile.
The Bad:
· Temperature: All the hot dishes were served only warm, almost cold. This really impacts the experience.
· Seasoning: Everything was underseasoned and definitely needed more salt.
· The Salad: This was the biggest letdown. It was just a bowl of raw onions with a few tomatoes and barely any lemon sauce. The ratio was way off, making it harsh and unpleasant.
The foundation is good, but for the price, we expected better execution. Paying attention to serving food hot, proper seasoning, and balanced salads would make a huge difference.
