Are These London Restaurants Worth The Hype?

"The Verdict: It’s a fun one-time thing that we wouldn’t go out of our way for. The main draw for the teens and TikTokers that come to this ramen bar on Kensington High Street is the robot arm that makes the crispy Korean fried chicken. That, and the machines gushing out boiling water to cook your ramen. Obviously you could make this at home, it's just instant ramen after all. But selecting the packet from a rainbow wall of options, customising your toppings, and letting machines do all the work makes this a fun experience to try once. We'd still just stick with the KFC—it's by far the best thing here." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing

Saba Convenience Store - Review - Kensington - London - The Infatuation

"Saba Convenience Store is a ramen bar and grocery store on Kensington High Street. We wouldn't go out of our way to eat here, but it's a fun, photogenic spot to know about if you're in the area and searching for a lunch under £10. The main draw for the teens and TikTokers that come here is the robot arm that makes the crispy-coated Korean fried chicken. That, and the machines gushing out boiling water to cook your ramen. Obviously you could make this at home, it's just instant ramen after all. But selecting the packet from a rainbow wall of options, customising your toppings, and letting machines do all the work makes this a fun experience to try once. We'd still just stick with the crispy, juicy KFC—it's by far the best thing here. photo credit: Emily Hai" - Sinéad Cranna

m‏y kids love this kind of food, so this shop was a lifesaver for me during my trip in London. They are specialized in all type of noodles. You choose what you want and prepare it and eat 👍🏻

Yesterday, I met friends for the first time in a long time and had a beer and soju at Sabah. I also had ramen and gimbab Mango bingsu is delicious 🍧The party was fun. The staff was friendly and I look forward to the next party. I thought I was in a club. The music was also really good.👍

Amazing food in Korean super market!! Plenty of seatings. The taste is as good as restaurant as they cook fresh. Staff are so lovely too.

Good selection of ramen to choose from (including veg and halal options!) As for the korean fried chicken - I think it might’ve been the best k fried chicken I’ve had so far in London, the taste is really similar to the one you can find in Korea! Great portion as well. The ramen eating experience is really nice, workers are friendly and available to help you out if needed! They also have a lot of products to buy in their convenience store section, from basics to more specific korean products. The only thing, it is slightly pricey for a quick lunch, so it’s not a place where we go often!

Another custom of Korea that landed in the UK… convenience stores, but most importantly, the DIY ramen machines. I was quite excited to give this place a try as it’s something I dreamt of doing when I visit. There’s a vast selection of ramen to choose from, most I’ve seen at Asian grocery stores, some I haven’t seen before I believe. It costs £2 for toppings like rice cake, sausage and fish cake… then £1 for an egg. Overall mine came up to £9.80 so a bit pricy. They also stock up snacks, drinks and fast food items. They also have the robot to make fried chicken which is what I wanna try next time as their samples were quite good. Had a bit of an issue with the paper bowl as it seemed to have leaked some soup out when I was picking it up. The guy there was so lovely to have helped me with the cooking process. So service was great. Gotta come back for the KFC and kimbap. Overall, a lovely experience.

Unique experience. Love trying new things and definitely qualifies. My kids loved it. The Robot fried the chicken and it was delicious. So many flavours of ramen. My son took cooking is ramen very seriously. Don’t get me started on the strawberry cake. It was so soft and creamy. Delicious. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful through the process. Exciting times ahead❤️

This is perfect place for kdrama and kpop lovers. Making your own ramyun with extra toppings is great experience. My favourite was corndogs and tekkboki. I will highly recommend to try all fried chicken there which is made by robot, it’s really tasty specially sweet and spicy chicken. You can find all sorts of korean drinks as well as melona and snacks. Definitely visiting again, great place to go with friends and family.
