The 19 Best Wine Shops for Texas Wines in Austin - Eater Austin

"Newer to the Austin wine scene, the Holly wine shop from Bento Picnic features Texas bottles from Southold and Austin Winery among its natural wine-focused list. Sharing a space with the cafe means there’s easy access to bento boxes, curry bowls, and salads. To-go orders can be placed online or in person, and DoorDash deliveries are available. The patio is open for on-site drinking with no corkage fees." - Nadia Chaudhury

Saba San, a Natural Wine Shop From Bento Picnic Owner, Is Now Open - Eater Austin

"East Austin healthy restaurant Bento Picnic opened a brand-new natural wine bottle shop this week. Saba San’s is found within the 2600 East Cesar Chavez Street space as of Tuesday, April 21. Since Austin dine-in service is still banned through Friday, May 8, the Holly retail store is just selling to-go bottles for curbside pickups and deliveries through its website. Saba San’s list is focused on natural wines that pair well with the restaurant’s bento boxes, which are full of vegetables, curries, and teriyakis. There are reds, whites, rosés, and sparkling wines, as well as sake and beer. Orange wines will be added later this week. “I know we’ll be able to have really meaningful conversations with people,” explained owner Leanne Valenti. “It’s going to be a place where people can really learn about wine and how it’s made and what makes it special.”" - Nadia Chaudhury

Saba Sans is the little wine and sake shop located inside of Bento Picnic. I am a big fan of all of their offerings and they always have a great selection of interesting, natural wine and sake. I am a member of the Saba Sans wine club, which gives me a reason to visit monthly (although I frequent more Bc I love the Bento menu) but, the first Saturday of the month is the Wine Pickup night. It’s a Super cute event, always paired with new wines to try and some snacks from the Bento Menu. Join the wine club! The staff at Saba Sans / Bento Picnic are some of the nicest people and they always remember your name, which is impressive in my book. Supporting local business is important to keeping our city thriving. I am happy to support this local business, Bc everything they do is from the heart and it shows.

good selection of natty wines. $8 corkage fee, free if it’s a seasonal bottle (3 available when i went). they also have a couple wines on tap by the glass, but the front didn’t know what wines they were, unfortunately.

I’m so glad to be one of the founding members of the Saba San’s wine club and I love each month not only getting a new wine to try, but also trying out new menu items. The food is always delicious and perfectly paired with the wine. If you like natural wine and like trying new experiences, then you should check this place out!

I love Saba San's and Bento Picnic. I'm a member of Saba San's wine club and love picking up my wines! It's always like a little party with tastes of other natural wines and bites of delicious food pairings. I highly recommend the wine club and the curated selection they keep on the shelf. It's delightful to have such a wide variety of natural wines and sakes to choose from.

Where my natural wine lovers at? If you’re one of them, then Saba San’s wine club should be on your radar! I’ve enjoyed every one of the bottles I’ve received the last 3 months. Surprisingly (or maybe not) I don’t get headaches after consuming a glass or two. Headaches were pretty common for me after drinking a red and I’ve not experienced that with these natural wines. I love how thoughtfully curated they are and how well they pair with Bento Picnic’s dishes!
