I can definitely get two meals for under $15 here— a sadly rare thing these days. The gyro meat is so good. Everything I’ve eaten here is great, fresh, flavorful!

Sarah Bohatka

Google
Stopped here with my family while on vacation. The guys working there were super nice and friendly. My dad is allergic to gluten and dairy and was able to get a great meal. I loved my bowl, the meat and sauces were so good! If I lived close by, I'd be coming here a lot!

Carter Collins

Google
This place is the best!! Similar to chipotle but way better in my opinion.

Tilly Lo

Google
The ladies here are very nice. I got a bowl with lentil and rice and Greek chicken with some humus, cucumbers, etc... The bowl of food didn't look like a lot of food, but it was plenty for me. One of my dogs live the chicken, and she pretty much ate all of it. I was content with ended up with a vegetarian bowl. 🤣🥰 It was cold by the time I got to eating it, but still good. It's pretty expensive though because the charge extra for something that can add up if you are like me, first time here and unfamiliar with the menu. I didn't like the humus as much as I thought. It has a unique flavor. Not sure what it is.

Michael Koehler

Google
ventured out of the house in the snow to try Sababa Mediterranean grill. It was definitely worth the trip. I liked the concept. The staff was very helpful and the food was great. I will definitely be back. I had the salad based bowl with the gyro meat. The medium sauce had just the right kick for me. Of course I had it with feta and olives. It was delicious and filling plus the salad made it healthy so it was a win on all fronts

Nomadic Flavors

Google
I recently visited Sababa Mediterranean Grill for the first time, and I have to say, it might just be my new favorite spot for Mediterranean food. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the menu offered a wide range of classic Mediterranean dishes. I tried the falafel, chicken shawarma, and their signature hummus, and every bite was packed with flavor. What really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients and how well everything was seasoned. The shawarma was tender and perfectly spiced, while the hummus was creamy with a rich, authentic taste. Sababa rivals Agape in quality, and I’d even go as far as to say it might be better in terms of flavor and overall dining experience. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, Sababa is a must-try.

Google
This Mediterranean place, Sabba, is excellent! I got the Greek salad with Greek chicken and warm fresh pita bread to go. They have several different dressings. I chose vinaigrette & traditional creamy Greek. Everything was very fresh. Portions are nice size and staff is friendly & fast. If you're hungry for Mediterranean food, this is an excellent choice! You won't be disappointed!

Preston Pierce

Google
Went in for lunch and this might be the best Greek food I’ve had to date in America. Absolutely phenomenal and priced very fairly. I’m actually going back for dinner now before leaving town to get more.

Yelp
Friendly service, excellent food. Fast food without eating something that is unhealthy.

Yelp
Pros: Relatively easy to find next to car wash Parking available Ample dining area if you want to eat there Can order ahead online Cons: hummus lacked flavor pita was cold fries were mushy gyro pita was ok - have had better at other Mediterranean places even though I ordered ahead, my food was cold when I picked up Pro tip: It will take some effort to navigate to this restaurant, so use your GPS and have patience

Yelp
I flew into CMH from Orlando and was looking for a Mediterranean place near the airport and on my way south of the city. Easy to order from menu and the manager was very helpful answering questions. Chipotle type setup for med food. Love the concept! I ordered the Mezze Platter (3 appetizers). My 3 choices were falafels, grape leaves and baba ganoush. You could see most of the food from the counter and everything looked very fresh. The presentation was A+ for a faster food type restaurant with pinches of herbs and spices applied, along with a drizzle over the grape leaves. The restaurant is very clean and orderly. The service was great and friendly. I will definitely be back the next time I go through Columbus.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. Came in for lunch and made a Greek salad. This place is like the Chipotle of Greek and Mediterranean foods. Everything is fresh and they put it together for you as you watch, along with half a dozen different sauces. It was delicious. Ample room for seating. One of the guys that I was with at the gyro and french fries, I can tell you that those french fries were the best french fries I have ever had

Yelp
I've been going here for years! I've seen the changes throughout the years. I used to go more often when I worked right by it. But I'm still a regular. Either I pick it up or my husband does. It's like a Mediterranean style Chipotle. You choose your base, protein, & toppings. Salad, fries, rice, or pita bread. Chicken, lamb, falafel, or shawarma chicken. The main dessert they sell is baklava. You can get pita on the side & they'll slice it for you which can be a good addition to your bowl. You can order fries on the side. I like their shawarma & medium dressing. The flavors of the food combinations are so good, which is why I always come back. Shawarma has curry spices in it. My friends from out of town crave this place & they wish they had one where they live. It's always clean. Service is decent. By the way, they have an app. You scan the bar code every time you go & your 13th bowl is free. Then it starts over. I used to have trouble with it in the past especially when it was time for the free bowl & it was hard to prove. I stopped using it.

Yelp
It's nice to find a Mediterranean place in the Blacklick area. There was ample parking available on the side of the building which also housed a Starbucks, a T-Mobile, and a nail spa. My husband ordered a bowl with fries as the base and spicy Greek meat protein. He said it was flavorful and he finished his whole meal. I had the Greek fries and they were delicious and plentiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Sababa is one of my go-tos when I am in town visiting family. Everything I've ever tried here has been SO GOOD. I typically get a shawarma chicken bowl with half rice/half lentils and ALL the toppings. I always add spicy feta, and you should too. Trust me. I usually get the house sauce, but have started trying the others and love them all. The price is great for the amount of food you get. Ample parking lot. Staff is nice.
google avatar

Corri P.

Yelp
Sababa is a great fast casual option on Broad Street near Blacklick and Reynoldsburg. The service was friendly and quick. The house rice has an amazing mix of spices that makes your meal smell as good as it looks. I had the gyro meat which was also perfectly seasoned and fresh. The house sauce is the traditional garlicky type sauce you find at most places but they offer it in mild, medium or hot which I love. The medium was perfect...not too hot. They have lots of veggie topping choices, other sauces and spreads that I look forward to trying in the future. They were also grilling pita bread which looked great. Prices for bowls were just under $10. A good value nowadays for a well portioned bowl. I highly recommend stopping in.
google avatar

Adam G.

Yelp
Mediterranean version of Chipotle -- count me in! A little bit outside the city limits but if you find yourself in the Blacklick/Reynoldsburg area, give it a try. I got a bowl with rice as the base, gyro meat for protein, and a variety of toppings. Finished off with spicy feta and medium house sauce, with tzatziki on the side to spread at my leisure. Although the proteins are kept in a heated tin, they do throw your portion on the grill briefly to heat it up even more before adding it to your entree which was a nice touch. The bowl was pretty good but does have some very intense flavors, led by the cinnamon rice. Next time, I would leave out the banana peppers as the acidity from these didn't mesh well with the rest of the ingredients. The staff was very friendly and the inside was clean and well maintained. 4 stars in my book!

Yelp
STO. WHAT. YOURE. DOING. & come here !!! Amazing quick serve Mediterranean food! The stuffed grape leaves, Y'ALL! Clean & tidy joint with cozy seating. Mujaddara is 10/10! Spicy Feta w/ FRESH WARM pitas! 10/10!

Miles J.

Yelp
Quality and decently priced. Great service as well. I go at least once a week. Real halal is always the best.
google avatar

Shelly C.

Yelp
This Greek chipotle! I absolutely loved it. Everything was fresh, there were a ton of options to choose from, and it was really fast service. I got a salad base with Greek chicken and some other great toppers. The dressings really made it - there is a mild, medium and spicy option (and they're actually spicy). This inside is very fast-foodie, decor is nothing fancy. But the food is worth it
google avatar

Cathy S.

Yelp
Nice small Mediterranean restaurant. It's like a Mediterranean Chipotle. The food is so delicious and fresh! My husband and I ordered Gyros ($8.00) and wow, sooooo good! Our son ordered fries and Greek Chicken ($9.00), it was good too. Parking is a little crazy, but it is worth going there! We felt the prices were good and the freshness and quality of the food were great! Definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Becky T.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed Sababa until now! My family visits so often that most of our out-of-town friends and family have had it when they visit. The food is so delicious and quick, whether going to the restaurant or ordering delivery. We also had it catered for my son's birthday party and the amount of food was so generous, we had plenty leftover to send home with guests (which they were happy to receive because everyone raved about the food). Our family favorites are chicken shawarma, Greek fries, and baklava, but you really can't go wrong with whatever you get. Service is friendly and helpful, and they usually let you try things before you order if you're not familiar with it (depending on how busy they are). Parking is right out front and there are usually plenty of spaces, although the restaurant itself can be pretty busy at prime lunch and dinner times. The line moves pretty quick though so don't let that stop you from trying it out. :)

Yelp
Just got picked up from the airport and was starving so we decided to grab dinner here. This place was GREAT! Easy to pick your items and everything was delicious! I had a chicken shawarma bowl with humus and pita as the base. My family ordered similar dishes with varying toppings and everything tasted wonderful. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and everything went together so well. Highly recommend their spicy feta and falafel! The fries were also insanely good!
google avatar

Yelp
What could be better than the flavors offered at Sababa Mediterranean Grill? The food here really is sababa. I can't wait to go back!

Zaida L.

Yelp
Food was really good and reasonably priced! Service was fabulous. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Cute place, food and service was excellent. The Barria tacos bomb but the dipping sauce was a bit spicy for me but I see in previous reviews it was requested . Super flavorful and a mist of ur in the area
google avatar

Paul W.

Yelp
Totally enjoyed my Mediterranean chicken bowl. The many flavors and add on toppings made the meal fantastic. Give them a try if you're over on the east side of the city. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was very clean.

Yelp
Looking for a meal to replenish yourself during the week, this maybe the place for you. When you first go in, you will be at the beginning of the food assemble line. The menu is big and clear at the top. Everything can be customize by your choice of base, protein, toppings and sauces. And at the end, you will receive your colorful bowl of goodness to enjoy. I like the Shawarma chicken. The chicken is moist and infused with cumin and curry flavor. The house sauce is what sum everything up, along with the fresh and pickle vegetables.
google avatar

Alexa N.

Yelp
Located off of E. Broad Street, the traffic here can be pretty busy! There is a parking lot with plenty of parking. If you have not tried Sababa yet, you NEED to go. Think of it was a mediterranean Chipotle. You walk in and the menu is at the top so you can choose your base, meats, and toppings. I chose the shawarma chicken with the lentils and I believe he said a cinnamon rice. SOOO good! The chicken was perfectly seasoned. I'm glad I took his advice and tried both rices. I chose absolutely all the toppings possible and I got the medium house sauce. Let me tell you that you will be licking the sauce off every corner possible. Their house made sauce really brings all of the flavors together. I also got a small side of fries and it's a pretty good portion. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. They walked me through every step and was patient with me as I am in awe of all the options. Go try it now!
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
I do like the food from there. My son worked there part time during his summer off from college and he would bring me meals sometimes:) It is flavorful and plentiful.
google avatar

abir a.

Yelp
Horrible service guy at the front was rushing & refused to honor rewards and got rude with me. Portion sizes are very small for price. Overall not not a good experience wouldn't come back here again.
google avatar

Antora S.

Yelp
This place is like chipotle style.  A good restaurant with good food. If this place was closer to me then I would have gone frequently. The place was clean and had friendly staffs. I ordered rice bowl with cinnamon rice with chicken Shawarma with all the topping. I ended up ordering hummus and baba ghanoush. The meat was cooked front me and all the other items were very fresh. I liked the baba ghanous better then the hummus. The hummus I felt like that to much Tahini sauce in it. The quality and quantity of the food is definitely worth visiting the place
google avatar

Lisa K.

Yelp
Went for a Yelp Elite event and OMG it was good. The staff was friendly and went over the ordering with me. The ordering is very similar to Chipotle, but much friendlier. I ordered a salad bowl with a little cinnamon rice, chicken shawarma, mild and medium sauce with pickles, banana peppers, kalamata olives, and red onions. I ordered my husband the same, but with both kinds of rice, and hot sauce, and it was also delicious. Let's talk about the fresh cut fries that need their own 5 stars! My kids loved the fries and I wish I ordered a large side. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Nik D.

Yelp
Visiting Columbus for work and saw Sababa in the area. I love Mediterranean food, so this sounded like a much better choice than chicfil-a. Sababa did not disappoint! You build your own bowl and choose your ingredients. My order was, lentils/rice base w/ greek chicken, medium sauce and the vinaigrette with feta, cucumber, olives, tomato, chickpeas, & pickled cabbage ( which was really tasty). They have a good selection of ingredients and portion size is great. I also order a side of pita and hummus which was so delicious. The pita was perfectly warmed up and hummus was cold and fresh. Sababa is the perfect place for a quick, healthy lunch or dinner. The interior is also comfortable and chill.
google avatar

Don M.

Yelp
Get a gyro on fries! The bomb! This place was a pleasant surprise and hit the spot when I arrived tired and hungry!
google avatar

Jayme H.

Yelp
If you didn't know, now you know!! This place is fire, seriously! Locally owned and operated, Sababa brings the eastside delicious Mediterranean food made fresh daily with great ingredients. While I'm a vegetarian and I haven't had absolutely everything on the menu, I can say that everything I've had has been delicious and I don't think you can go wrong. What are the highlights? The grape leaves are awesome and the babaganoush is creamy and flavorful. I usually steer clear of baba and go with hummus and while both are great at Sababa, baba is my first choice. I'm also a really big fan of their cinnamon rice. It's unique and the flavor is subtle, but it's just enough to pack a punch. I always go with the falafel, which they make fresh, and it's fabulous. Dip those babies in any one of their house made sauces and you've got a winner. Good news for all the social distancers out there, they offer delivery! Continue supporting great local businesses by eating this tasty food at home.
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
I saw some pretty good reviews for this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. This was just like a Chipotle or Subway, where you walk in front of the glass and tell the server what you want. I ordered a salad with shawarma meat and I asked for double meat. It was ok. The portion size for a salad was kind of small for the price. The meat was pretty bland and didn't really have an authentic shawarma flavor. Nothing to really write home about. I may consider giving it another try if I was in the area, but it wasn't really all that memorable.
google avatar

Sara I.

Yelp
Basically your it's your local Greek chipotle. Way better then Agape! Every time has been delicious and a hospitable experience!
google avatar

Thoron B.

Yelp
Food and staff are both wonderful. The employees have always been polite, and the food is nutritiously delicious.
google avatar

Erica R.

Yelp
I often forget this place is here but whenever I remember and am able to stop in, I am not disappointed!! Sababa has a chipotle-style setup. You go in and choose your base. I've gone with rice and fries and both are really good. Then you pick your protein and toppings. On my most recent visit I had the Greek chicken and it as excellent. All of the ingredients are fresh and the meat is cooked right there in front of you. They even made my fries right there on the spot! It is a LOT of food. It's a great deal for the price. Another thing I appreciate is that the restaurant is bright and clean and the employees have always been upbeat and efficient in creating the meals. I can't wait to eat here again! I wish they had one closer to downtown!
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
Delicious chipotle-style Mediterranean food! You pick a base, protein, and toppings for $9ish. Amazing! Loved the lentil rice, gyro, and alllll the toppings. Add feta you won't regret it. Love this place!
google avatar

SharonSpecialK ..

Yelp
great fresh fast-but healthy! food staff is great- prepared to your order wonderful sauces! my favorite place to go! I love their garlic sauce. & Greek chicken ! i could layer it 20 different ways - hummus, different rices - Fresh every time - EXCELLENT Consistency ! just awesome All around! I joined their club to get coupons (see their facebook- you gotta get the Columbus ohio one)
google avatar

Woolie T.

Yelp
Definitely a fan of Sababa Mediterranean Grill! They're in the process of revamping their website as well as offering a more robust delivery option (this is important to note if you have a coupon received through the mail as you can't use it online or through the phone and need to show up IRL). We almost always get their Falafel along with the Tahini Sauce or House Sauce - Hot, depending on how we're feeling when we order.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
I just got Sababa for the first time tonight and let me tell you FANTASTIC! I went to Sababa for a yelp elite event and am now looking forward to the next time I'm in the area because it is something you have to try. When I first arrived I noticed the restaurant was a lot like chipotle as the set up was pick one as your base, pick your meat or main item (I got falafel) then add all your toppings. I had a tough time deciding between pita and rice base but ended up with pita and some hummus, my favorite. On my pita I got banana peppers, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, feta, and their house dressing which was probably my favorite part. I also ordered the french fries and a baklava to go which I am very glad that I did because both are fantastic. If you're looking for something quick and delicious, definitely check out Sababa
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
Sababa is one of the best Mediterranean places in Columbus. It's one of those counter order concepts. You choose a base and toppings. Many places have coped this concept. They still manage to be good. First you choose the base. It can come as a pita, rice, or salad. The pita is about $7 for all you can put in this. Next you choose the protein. These include beef, chicken, falafel, or you can just get vegetables. After this you choose what other toppings to add to it. These include onions, peppers, and tomatoes. It also gets a sauce. These include tahini and vinaigrette. It can also come with a side for extra. These include fries, hummus, and salad Food for the price is a good amount Pita can be stuffed as big as you want it to be. The salads look like they can hold more.
google avatar

Nadira Y.

Yelp
My husband and I came here a second time all the way from Powell. The food is truly delicious. We love their gyro meat and mujadara rice with the house sauce. This time I had a craving to have fries as the base. I got all the toppings on it with medium heat and the house sauce drizzled on top. It was so good. It was like a loaded fries platter Mediterranean style. If you crave this but not in the bowl, you can get a side of Greek fries. Overall, I prefer the way I had it the first time around, which is with mujadara rice as the base with gyro meat, house sauce, and all the toppings. The spicy feta and kalamata olive toppings are an extra cost. The combination of all the flavors in the bowls here truly hits the spot. We also got the mezze appetizer plate with baba ganoush, tzatziki, and hummus. I liked the hummus the most. It was really good with the warmed pitas they cut up for us. I hope they open a branch near us!
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
I came to Columbus to return some work property. My brother found this place on yelp before we left the Akron Ohio area. It's a nice small place. The food is amazing. The options are limitless. The staff was great. I will for sure eat here again when I'm back in town.
google avatar

C H.

Yelp
Greek chicken and shawarma chicken bowl. Stopped in for take out. Great staff and food. Will return next time we're in town.
google avatar

Melissa E.

Yelp
We wanted to love this place because Greek is our fave, but for us it was just okay. The fries with malt vinegar were probably our favorite item we purchased. My daughter got the Greek chicken in her salad and said it was good. My husband and I both got the gyro meat and we both agreed that it was mushy and flavorless. Crazy to me that they charge you nearly a dollar for some olives or cheese. Service was extremely lacking. The employees did not seem happy to be there and weren't willing to answer questions. Not sure if it was a language barrier issue or what.
google avatar

Marcia E.

Yelp
Good fresh food! You need to know how to combine flavors, but if you do you'll not be disappointed!
google avatar

Anita A.

Yelp
Even though the weather has been awful I was excited for this Yelp food event with Sababa Mediterranean Grill, which to me was like the Chipotle of Mediterranean food... definitely a cool concept! I came in on a Friday during lunch and there were lots of diners in there but all socially distant. The people at the counter were super nice in greeting me and getting me started with my order. I got the bowl with salad, shawarma chicken, onions, tomato, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, and feta cheese with their medium heat sauce. There were many options to choose from so you could load your bowl however you wanted to! The chicken was made fresh in my bowl and the ingredients looked fresh as well. I was excited to dig in when I got home! I definitely enjoyed the bowl... the flavor of the chicken was great along with the sauce but I'd probably opt for the spiciest sauce in the future. It was just the right amount of seasoning for me, not too much at all. The hummus and the fries looked great but I was stuffed from the bowl alone so if I'm ever back in that area I will definitely go back. I hope they open up another location in the northern Columbus are, it is definitely a great lunch option!
google avatar

Marie O.

Yelp
Let me say, I love Mediterranean food. Sababa Mediterranean Grill is really fresh food. I stopped by for a Yelp Event and was happy I did! I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who assisted me in putting together the perfect bowl. I got the lentil rice base with chicken shwarma and added fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese. The flavors were amazing! I will most certainly be back to try something else on the menu.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Mediterranean food is some of my favorite food and makes me reminiscent of home, which is New York City. I love all of the harmonious blends of herbs and spices in this cuisine. Sababa is my go-to for this style of food. I admire how you can get a variety of tastes in one easy-to-manage bowl. When I first entered this establishment, I loved how when you first enter through the doors; everything is easy to figure out what you will get to eat. The service is always on point, and they walk you through every and anything you may need to know. The rice, lentils, and all the proteins are all cooked so well. The way that the food is seasoned doesn't overpower your palette, and the taste of whatever is seasoned naturally shines through. To top it all off, everything is prepared fresh for you. If you are a fan of fried, make sure that you get the ones here, they are seasoned and cooked to a crisp perfection. The fried are actually finger-licking good if I don't say so myself.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
This is very similar to Brassica minus the price tag. The dishes are prepared carefully to honor your request. Everything is fresh and delicious. You will not be sorry if you stop in.
google avatar

Myra W.

Yelp
Mine of my favorite places. Set up like Chipotle but Mediterranean food. Fresh and yummy made just the way you like it - portable sandwich, rice bowl or salad style. One of the few places I will eat falafel. Schwarma seems to me very popular but I have never tried. Gyros are great. For lunch today I wanted to go light since I knew I was having a big birthday dinner out. I got a Greek salad - my way - with lettuce , cabbage (fora nice crunch ) , red onion, cucumbers, tomato's,chick peas/garbanzo beans, and some feta. It sure hit the spot. Great service and so reasonable. Be sure to save room for dessert. Oh and download the app so you can earn a freebie.

Yelp
Fresh, fast, friendly and delicious! Def recommend! Environment has a little cafeteria vibe but it's cool for lunch ur carry home dinner. Recommend!

Yelp
After dropping my family at the airport, decided to grab a bite to eat. Love Mediterranean cuisine, had wonderful experiences back home in Southern California, so I figured to give this place a try. The staff was friendly, attentive and the place was clean. The food was fresh, delicious, and seasoned just right. I definitely was not disappointed! Yes it is a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, where you build your bowl just way you want it, so I got precisely what I wanted, and I would definitely come back again. This is a 4.5 star review.
