Airy counter-serve lunch stop serving Israeli pita, hummus, bowls & Mediterranean street food.
"A good, quick stop for Israeli street food served assembly-line-style. The pita is freshly baked in-house, and the chicken is well-spiced. The best part is, when they make your sandwich, they’ll expertly layer all the ingredients so that you’ll never end up with a mouth full of toppings and no protein or vice versa. Whatever you do, don’t skip the skug hot sauce after you get out of line." - Taylor Abrams, Jess Basser Sanders, Will Kamensky
"This is one of our favorite lunch options in the Financial District, because even though the pita sandwiches are large enough to convincingly hide under your covers if you wanted to sneak out of the house, they won’t weigh you down the entire day. What you fill it with is up to you, but we like the chicken and the sabik." - Taylor Abrams, Will Kamensky
"This Financial District counter-service spot (with another lunch-only location in the FiDi) makes excellent bowls and pita sandwiches. On the bowls front, choose a rice or hummus base before picking a protein like chicken, kofta, and falafel and fixings from a sneeze-guarded salad bar. Feel free to close your eyes, spin around a few times and point. There’s no going wrong. Sandwiches also come with your choice of protein, accompanied by copious amounts of pickles, cabbage, and tahini threatening the structural integrity of pita. Both options are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner on the go, but we suggest ordering the sandwich if only to taste the house pita, which somehow manages to be both chewy and fluffy at the same time. photo credit: Sababa" - Patrick Wong
