"Known for its take on traditional Laotian and Thai street food dishes, diners will find excellent tom yum soup, chicken larb, crispy fried wings and riblets, warm curries, and so much more. Pro-tip: during opening weekend, Sabaidee will be BYOB." - Amy McCarthy

Google
Came in the other day. Talked to a nice young lady who explained everything perfectly. Family owned, vegan/vegitarian options, gluten free options (both upon request) Just a side note, order from either 1-4 or after 8pm.... less busy., I couldn't ask for a better experience!! Yellow curry was phenomenal. get it with beef trust me. This place truly is a gem. Order here for Thai!!!!

Megha Thomas

Google
This place has great Thai food and we keep coming back for more to try new things! we’ve tried the drunken noodles, pad Thai, fried rice and egg rolls!

Matt

Google
Great date spot, good value spot, not 100 things on the menu & no server chasing you all night trying to sell another drink. Really nice stuff and good if you want to eat a healthy amount and save it for later ... All dishes come in its own takeaway containers!!!! Free Tupperware!! Hi-5 (>'.')^

Guy who said his name was Jason, he wears a hat and a black baseball jersey shirt that says sabaidee on it, gave me the wrong food one time and when he realized what he did, he ran outside and snatched it from my hand without saying anything. I confronted him about snatching things out of people's hands and let him know that he should just let me hand it over. I was not interested in anybody else's order except mine. Today Oct 17, I had another order to pick up and when he handed it to me, he made a comment about snatching the order out of his hands, which I didn't and when I confronted him about it, he said I was rude. I asked him to let me speak with a manager, and he said he was about as high up as there was available. That's when I asked how I could contact a manager and said he couldn't give out that information. I asked for his name, and he said his name was Jason. I'm really starting to dislike this restaurant. He's in the picture I added

Google
I have only been here twice, but both times I’ve had the most delicious food I’ve had in ages. The service is great, the food is amazing, and the welcoming environment makes this a must-try for any local! If you’re wanting food that is prepared with care and healthy practices eat here.

Google
First time visiting Sabaidee. I ordered the #10 Pad Thai (chicken heat level 3) DELICIOUS! The chicken was so tender and full of flavor. Also ordered a small Fried Rice with chicken and egg rolls. It didn't disappoint either. I was so hungry being a late lunch. Definitely, want to come back and try some other dishes and their curries. FYI...plates are all $10.99, Appetizers $5.99 -$10.99 and the Curries are $10.99 each.

Michael Yeo

Google
Best red curry so far. Level 3 is perfect when you don't want it to come back it tomorrow with a vengeance, lol. Glass noodles were perfectly cooked. Food are a little in the sweet side, but it was ok for me. More food in my pics.

Google
So it doesn’t matter if the store is busy or not but this place tends to always be running behind on orders or taking long. I’ve tried order pick up and in store but it’s the same. When they’re busy, I saw 8 people in the kitchen but you still have to wait 30 minutes for a simple single order. Kind of disappointing.

Yelp
We planned to sit down and eat but it was pretty cold in the establishment and it is pretty small so we decided to take out and eat in the car. Food: I've been to Thailand and this food did not disappoint. The egg rolls were flaky goodness and the Pad Thai hit the mark. Service: Cashier was nice and they had a sign that signified everyone is welcomed there. Overall: I would go back!

Jacque J.

Yelp
Always amazing food, and affordable priced. The service is prompt. I generally get my orders to go out other than eating in the restaurant.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with our ubereats choice today. The eggrolls were okay. Dumplings were burnt. Chicken fried rice had no flavor. Crab ragoons lacked crab. Not a fan of the Lao spicy sausage. Don't think we will order from here again.

Jane S.

Yelp
Food is excellent Service is great Ambiance is immaculate If I want authentic Thai I come here at least once or twice a month. I always door dashed but one night I was close by and decided I'll just drive here and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean it was inside.

P C.

Yelp
This Rowlett ThaiThai place never misses. Huge fan of their curry dishes, basil fried rice, and pad Thai. It's all good. A friend of mine loves her sticky rice, but that is not my thing.

Erin D.

Yelp
Best Thai food in town. Spice is no joke lol! My kids LOVE the Lao fried rice with chicken, I'm a big fan of the drunken noodle (pad kee mao).... And don't forget the sticky rice!

Christie H.

Yelp
Great place for takeout if I send someone else to get it. It smells a little weird in there to dine in. (Not a food smell, it's something that can make you lose your appetite in case you have a sensitive nose.) Flavors are good! Price is just right! Everyone loves their meal.

Archie C.

Yelp
Meatballs were small. Looked like they cut one meatball to 2 pieces each to make it look like theres more and put it all in a small to go box. tasted dry and old. The picture online shows full size meatballs on a stick. Also got the pad Thai but that was good. I'd go back for that for sure

Charles H.

Yelp
This restaurant would be 4 stars if it wasn't $20 for shrimp pad Thai with just 4 shrimp per plate. Flavor is good but I can't justify 4 small shrimp with noodles for $20. Maybe they're just making up for inflation like everyone else. Either way, I won't be returning until they can justify their prices because right now they can't.

Nikki S.

Yelp
Would've loved to take a picture of our food tonight, but it was so delicious that we devoured it the moment we got home. Ten stars! Super friendly staff that clearly put a lot of love into our meal. Can't wait to try more off the secret menu.

Bart S.

Yelp
Fresh, delicious food with generous portions. Love Sabaidee, fast take out service and fair pricing too.

WaNesha J.

Yelp
The 4 stars is only because this was take out, I only had 3 items off the menu, and they didn't have mango sticky rice only pineapple.... The review is in I loved everything I ordered. The fried riblets were nice. They leaned more over on the sweet side with a strong garlic flavor. They were fun and convenient to eat without the mess. The crispy rice wraps with beef. Now this is my favorite. It was full or texture and flavor. The lettuce was crisp and clean. The crispy clusters of coconut rice mixed with the beef and peanuts. This was delicious. Even though it was fried I didn't feel weighed down. And it was a huge portion. I highly recommend the beef. And lastly the pineapple sticky rice. I really need to learn how to make this at home because I will visit a Thai restaurant just for the sticky rice. It was warm not to sweet giving me the mochi texture that I love. I most definitely will eat here again and try something new.

Rachel W.

Yelp
Had this delivered last night and it was great. Really loved the spicy noodles and basil fried rice. The beef and peppers with white rice was also great. I ordered a spicy rating but maybe should've gone for the spiciest as it didn't have much heat to it. The flavors and portions were spot on. Prices average. The pick up time did take a long time but that's probably due to the driver rather than the restaurant. Will try in person soon!

Heaven H.

Yelp
Went in on a lunch break & ordered the sweet soy sauce noodles with a level 3 of spicy . The food was great, it was my first time going in and they were super sweet & took their time to explain everything. Very clean/quiet location, will be going back to try something else if the menu

Carlo C.

Yelp
Pad thai was delicious. I got riblets that were yummy. Panang curry passed my taste. Ambiance is comfy. You're eating in a to go box but you can get the styro plates for sharing.

Shelby B.

Yelp
If a dish says beef, actually put beef into it; not three burned up pieces of indistinguishable protein. Generally, Thai food is not greasy, but it slid out with an oily layer. The broccoli (easily 80% of the dish) was moldy. Opening up the container, you immediately smell an unclean grill. Simply put, this is not an authentic Thai experience.

Amigo K.

Yelp
I hate to drop down to 4 stars, times are tough for the food service industry all over. But, the quality was much better here just 2 years ago. Papaya Salad (Thai style) $9.99 was okay, you can tell it was dished out of a large container. The large cuts of tomato had been mushed down to just rind. The carrot no longer had carrot flavor. Spice level medium, was no problem. The takeout packaging was excellent. I did not see Curry Fried Rice $10.99 on the menu board. Yes, you can request this dish. My protein was chicken breast, spice level 5 "Sabaidee Spicy". As in the past year, it was mostly burnt. Burnt rice, burnt onion, burnt green bell pepper. Strips of chicken breast were dry & chewy. The entire dish was over-cooked. It wasn't super hot & spicy, even the spice was burnt. Just murky taste, no Thai flavor. Facility was clean, as usual. Staff is very pleasant & helpful. Most orders seem to be takeout, but 3 tables had dine-in guests. Mellow overhead music was nice. The kitchen staff are the weak point of this eatery. My opinion, it used to be much better, here. C'est la Vie.

Briam K.

Yelp
Tried about four bites of the papaya salad and didn't like the sauce at all, so I took it back and quietly expressed my dislike. They didn't offer anything as a replacement so I left still hungry.

Anitta V.

Yelp
Ordered the spice 4/5 drunken noodles and the spice 3/5 Lao fried rice. If you can handle spice, 4/5 was good without being uncomfortable. Good food. Service was a little slow for not being very busy. Nothing special if you sit and eat inside, seems more popular for take out than dine in. Had some issues with placing an order over the phone, so had to do it online. Where they lack in service, they make up for in food quality.

Ariceli R.

Yelp
This is a good spot. I recommend the basil rice. It ranges in spice from 1-5. I chose 1 which is the least spicy.

Nicolle C.

Yelp
Ordered one chicken pad thai and one beef because according to reviews it's the most popular item and was extremely disappointed...not only did I get my order wrong & got 2 chicken pad thais one mild and one spicy... instead of spicy beef. It's not savory, just very sweet and I couldn't take more than 3 bites. The egg rolls were great so may come back for those alone, but the sign at the front saying ppl w symptoms of covid, racism, and homophobes not being welcomed is very unnecessary and created a negative vibe as soon as I walked thru the door! Really wasted brain cells reading something that is obvious. Also, I bought this for my husband, father, & I and they all hated it. Chicken is hard and so so dry.

Yelp
Always delicious and fresh fresh fresh - we love Sabaidee!! The first week home for our Aggie is always about enjoying ethnic food not available in College Station (most of them). So here we are topping up on delicious Lao and Thai at our local Rowlett fave, Sabaidee. As always the food is made fresh to order and served hot in recyclable/compostable dishes. Tip: Get the Lao riblet appetizer -soooo delicious! I had the Panang curry level 4, and it was spicy without being overwhelming. One of my girls had Pad Thai with pork, heat level 1, which was well balanced between sweet sour and spicy, and had a generous about of meat and veggies. Pad Woon Sen with glass noodles and tofu was similarly well balanced and well portioned. 5 delicious stars

Nicole L.

Yelp
Finally! An excellent Southeast Asian eatery in Rowlett. We are next door in South Garland and are so excited at both proximity and quality and prices of this restaurant. We had been to the Dallas location years ago. I got the glass noodles and it was soooo delicious. Flavorful but not too greasy. Good ration of noodles to protein and carrots. My brother got curry and it was also delish. Brown rice option available. I almost got a Thai tea and. Lao coffee but decided to save them for next time. Because I will be back!

Melanie G.

Yelp
I'll order from here every once in awhile if I'm getting my hair done next door at phoenix salons, if you call to order they will bring the food over to the salon. The two items I've order were ok not great just ok. If I eeent at the asking I probably wouldn't order from here.

Teresa L.

Yelp
2 visits, 2 days apart, speaks to what I thought. First visit had glass noodles with tofu with egg rolls. Both were great! Probably the best egg rolls ever. Tiny but absolutely the tastiest egg rolls. Glass noodles had perfectly proportioned noodles, veggies and crispy tofu. Loved this meal, 5 star. Second visit had sweet noodle dish with egg rolls. Good but noodles were over cooked. This meal, food was 3 star. Both meals food was greasy and packaged well. Prompt to go service, I tried both times to enter an order thru Yelp, but was unable. Ordered in person and was told 20 minutes both times. Both times were less than 10 minutes. This is a hopping Thai spot, appropriately so. I highly recommend.

Hanan E.

Yelp
One of my favorite Thai restaurants Clean and delicious. Good service and highly recommended

S V.

Yelp
Tom kha soup with shrimp -too much lemon or lime and it needed more coconut milk. Flavor was all wrong from when I have ordered this over the years in other places. Whatever it was it was the wrong taste and consistency for this soup. The shrimp cost $3 extra but it was basically cocktail shrimp and not anything flavored with Lao or Thai spices Lao fried rice w/chicken and no egg - came with egg even when the kitchen ticket on the tray showed it should not have egg per request. They ended up remaking it to make it right. It was ok. Red curry with beef - it was ok. Nothing special. Ambience - we had to dine in as getting takeout to eat at home was not an option that day. It was really cold inside and everything was in takeout ready form. The seating arrangement is not great. We did not enjoy our meal and tried to get outside into the mild spring weather as fast as we could.

Tracey T.

Yelp
Excellent flavors/ my favorite dish is Nam Khow w fermented pork, delicious Thai tea, curries are good!

Lola L.

Yelp
This is more of a take out place than a dine in place. The crispy rice Lettuce wrap thing with pork was delicious!! Everything else we ordered was tasty as well.

Chika O.

Yelp
I ordered a Basil Fried Rice with Chicken Sabaidee Wings and let me just say , it slapped ! Excellent customer service as well.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Great Thai food and fast concurrent ordering options. I personally love their red curry!

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Amazing!! My favorite place for Thai. So happy to have one in the area. My husband loves the Basil Fried Rice, I love just about anything they have. We do not eat meat so having such a great place for vegetarian meals is awesome.

Jenny V.

Yelp
I love this restaurant.! I always get the #11. I ordered spice level 4 (very spicy) , for the second week in a row, ( I love it here lol) they didn't add ANY spice. It's just sweet. I let the last time slide because they were probably busy. But I just hope this doesn't happen again!! Love it here, but dang! I wanted some spice..

Tammy N.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place out because of my love for Lao/Thai food but it was usually out of the way. We were finally in the area and my husband and I got the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles with Thai tea! They serve in to-go boxes so makes it easy for when you don't finish the decently sized portion and bring it home with you. I thought the dishes were super flavorful, the veggies could have been cut smaller in my opinion but no complaints overall. Small seating area inside but most people do take-out from what I noticed.

Valerie Z.

Yelp
Riblets were way overcooked. They're dry and hard. They should not have served these! So disappointed.

Jim O.

Yelp
I definitely recommend this restaurant. Some of the dishes are fantastic others are just okay. I recommend the Riblets, the crispy veggie rolls and the pad Thai. Quick service and clean environment.

Amanda H.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I purchased $80 of food and never received it. the manager said it was given to another customer and I had to re place my order without getting my money back. horrible management , horrible customer service. I was hung up on 3 times ! no customer deserves to be treated that way.

Nadia A.

Yelp
food was ok. I'm an avid thai lover and this was less than flavorful. I ordered the pad thai level three and it tasted like a level one. pretty disappointed wouldn't come again

Brian E.

Yelp
Great authentic food! Would be 5 stars but I'm sick of being nickel and dimed with fees when they are avoidable. When ordering online to PICK UP, it's done through a third party called ChowNow and charges you a bs "support local fee" of $1.99. Why??? Then of course the dreaded tip for me to drive in the rain, walk in and pick up at the counter. I seriously cannot define what a tip is anymore other than employees aren't being paid enough by their employers. I'm a very good tipper when it's appropriate, but tell why it's appropriate here. It's gets in your head if you are thinking against it, maybe they will make my order wrong or lite. Pay your employees and get your own online ordering platform. I'm sick of this sh*t.

Jerrett M.

Yelp
Go, go, go!! I have been wanting to try Sabaidee, and last night I did. I got the Drunken Noodles with a lvl 2 spice, and beef. It was awesome, the flavor was awesome too. Also had a side of jasmine rice. The Thai tea was an experience. I was kinda nervous to try it, there was an orange color to it, but, I did indeed try it, and now I want more. Go support these wonderful folks, you won't be disappointed!!

Brice P.

Yelp
Easy online ordering experience, friendly (and funny) staff. Solid Thai and Vietnamese flavor and spice levels.

Rick R.

Yelp
I thought I ordered drunken noodles but what I got was a bunch of soggy broccoli drenched in brown sauce with a pinch of noodles on the side. Wtf? This has to be the worst Thai food ever. The Thai tea was premade out of a can and that was immediately a red flag. Unfortunately the food was worse. This is definitely not authentic Thai street food. This is Americanized junk at its worst. Avoid!

Mikala D.

Yelp
Definitely street food :/ It's fast but there's no flavor. The service is okay and you can see the girls touching their hairs while they're in the kitchen. Definitely not trying to get hair in my food.

Cynthia T.

Yelp
Food was AMAZING, I'm surprised there's not that many people that come in! In a nice location too so after a target trip, I can just go straight here to grab food

Jen L.

Yelp
Cute little Thai/Lao food at the corner of a shopping center. Walked in and it's an order at the counter then find a seat. There was about 4/5 tables. Dine In available. Not many people dinning in but as we were sitting there waiting forever our food, they had lots of call in orders. As we walked in, the lady was nice and told us what their popular dishes were. I typically always order the Pad See Ew at every Thai restaurant I go to. My husband was disappointed that there wasn't any sort of noodle soups. He ended up getting the Pad Kee Mow. The food came out about 5 mins after we seated. It looked very colorful and flavorful. It was steaming hot. So here's where the three stars came in for me, it was super super sweet. I know Thai food it's typically sweeter than my liking but this was way to sweet. Other than that it was good. My husband said his was good and he last said mine was to sweet to eat. It was like they pour nothing but sugar in it. I also would have liked for them to use Gai Lan (chinese broccoli) instead of regular broccoli. Overall all, it was just okay. Friendly service and fair pricing. If I'm back in the area, I may try it again. Maybe they had a bad day and put one to many spoons of sugar.

Ashlyn P.

Yelp
I went tonight and the food was great! The atmosphere was chill and everything was very clean. Nice place with great vegetarian options and I will definitely be back.

Katie Z.

Yelp
To be honest, I don't expect much from the cuisine in Rowlett beyond like... chicken tenders. Came in for the first time on a whim and didn't have high expectations. Ordered the drunken noodles with pork, spicy (level 3.) the food came out within ten minutes and was hot and fresh! Super delicious, flavorful and spicy-ish. Next time I'll get the level four ;) the women behind the counter were polite and friendly. 10/10 would recommend this unexpected target shopping center gem.

Emily X.

Yelp
Amazing food with great staff! Loved especially the pad won sen! I'll definitely be back.

BJ T.

Yelp
I've driven by this place on several occasions and finally had a chance to check it out. The customer service was great. We were greeted on arrival and the staff was patient with us and answered all of the questions that we had regarding the menu. We ordered the Pad Kee Mow and Basil Fried Rice (both with Shrimp and level 4 Spice). The food was amazing and the portion sizes were generous. There is limited seating and it seems that most people just order pick up/to go. If you're in the Rowlett/Garland area and are craving some good Thai/Lao food...I would recommend you check this spot out! I know we'll definitely be back!
