Tony met with Singaporean- Malay entertainer and producer Najip Ali for Lontong (rice cake, coconut gravy, vegetables and hardboiled egg) and Mee Siam (fried rice noodles with chili paste, prawns, bean sprouts, and a spicy sweet and sour gravy, fried bean curd, and egg).

Hands down the best beef rendang in Singapore—and arguably the world. The flavors were rich, authentic, and unforgettable. I ended up eating here every single day during my 3-day stay in Singapore because I just couldn’t get enough. On top of the amazing food, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A hidden gem that deserves all the love!

I love the breakfast bihun goreng here! Very sedap paired with fried egg. The nasi padang selection is also not bad, decent amount of lauk (dishes) to select from and they also have kueh for you to enjoy.

I was pretty taken aback this plate of gorong mee was $12!! The gorong mee itself comes with an egg and 3 very small prawns and costs $6, the small piece of chicken with very little meat is $5!! (See attached photo on the zoom in of the chicken. Just 3 small mouthful of meat) tea is $3 too. It is definitely not cheap, food is not outstanding, tastes normal, slightly spicy. There are much better options elsewhere. Price is stated on the side of the wall, thou, my hindsight, not to double check. Perhaps, tourist area, touristy price. But definitely our first and last!

Plenty of seats available on the upper floor. Lower floor has few seats. Many types of dishes and they tasted nice. Friendly owner. Used to be few doors down the same lane but now they are located right in front of Sultan Mosque main entrance.

The hidden floor on the 2nd. Strong Aircon, spacious and quiet. Aunties here very nice. Rendang very tender, Mee Goreng packs a punch. Teh tarik just perfect.

Nice curries though it is a bit more expensive than your average Nasi Padang. This meal cost us $40 for 2.
