"At Sablon, it’s possible to eat chocolate in a truly dizzying number of ways. Start with an epic chocolate milkshake, called a “frappista” here, topped with a doughnut, then share a towering sundae or platter of dark chocolate fondue and fruit." - Amy McCarthy, Alaena Hostetter

"This dessert-focused spot in West Village has a substantial menu, much of which is devoted to Instagram-worthy, chocolatey goodness. The latest group of Grand Chocshakes, topped with towering cake slices, waffle cookies, and mini ice cream sandwiches are among the most drool-worthy." - Rachel Pinn

5 star baby!! If you have a major sweettooth and a chocolate lover , head straight over to this place. great choices for a dessert restaurant wow!! be prepared to order one item to share among 4 people coz if you aren’t big on desserts, the portion sizes could be too much for one person ( too much sugar)... cute and thoughtful presentation! I was on a SUGAR RUSH .. love it!! Go make yourself happy

I have to say, I enjoyed my experience here! Pros: -The staff was very knowledgeable about the product they were selling. Upon ordering, one of the staff guided us every step of the way. She could see there were only two of us and advised us so that we would enjoy our experience! If we would have had the items we wanted we would have wasted money and food. -Lounge was very clean! - The ambiance was set perfectly for a date! Cons: - We ordered strawberry crepes and get that this is a Chocolate Lounge... but it should be on the menu that there will be chocolate in the crepe (Go easy on the chocolate on the inside). - The crepe became a soggy mess and I was not able to enjoy the full experience. I did not care for the batter used to make the crepe either.

It was an unexpected surprise. We were just looking for a place that served something sweet and we both had a slight craving for ice cream, a shake more specifically. I just did a quick type for milkshakes and this came up. To be honest, the pictures (of the delicious stuff) can appear overwhelming. Some are a bit simpler made than others but it does give the impression there is a lot going on. We ordered some relatively basic shakes. I got what is almost just a cookies and cream shake, but there was chocolate fudge and an ice cream cookie on top. Let me tell you...it was great. The cookie with the ice cream was good and the shake was just what I needed at the moment. I would recommend this for a good dessert, but give some space in between, like we did, walking for about thirty minutes. I would like to return sometime soon, and try something different.

This is our second time here and WOW it's even better than last time. The red velvet cake was perfectly moist and the cream cheese frosting was just sweet enough. The vanilla ice cream was so yummy! This place is like a chocolatey heaven 🙊

Ordered the Carmel Hot Chocolate & Fruit Fondue Platter 2 star for the caramel hot chocolate, it has no caramel flavor OR even taste like chocolate… for $12 I expect to taste chocolate. Mug is big… but worth tasting like hot milk? No. However, I asked them to make another and they did without complaint adding in extra chocolate and caramel powder 3 stars for the fruit fondue, I was able to swap the pineapple for marshmallow no extra charge. The fruit arrived all chilled and freshly cut. Tried the milk chocolate and it was tasty but nothing special. Similar to just Hershey chocolate melts. For $30, not worth it Ambience is 5 star very cute decor and intimate. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The girl at the front disappears to the back and there’s no on way to signal for her other than yelling. The kitchen staff even came up front and tell the cashier that she has customers up front. However when she does finally help you… she does go the extra mile

Unfortunately this chocolate shop was a disappointment. It’s cute, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, and the deserts look the part. However the taste doesn’t come through like it should for these prices, especially considering the competition in the area. If you want to spend this kind of money on chocolate, go to Kate Weiser in Trinity groves, or chocolate secrets downtown. Want to support a local business? Go to CocoAndré. If you’re in a rush, are out late, or meeting a friend go for it. If you want the best, do yourself a favor and try another chocolatier.

We have been considerably spoiled here! We had a small cup of the ganache chocolate to sip on right upon arrival, and that was a perfect way to establish the setting. The fondue tray was good but just exactly what you would expect. It had sliced bananas, strawberries, pineapple, and green apple. Next came the tray with four of some kind of soft-Rice-Krispie-cross-cake with chocolate and ice cream on top, and of course a cherry on top of that, with a small bowl of ice cream (with a partial chocolate shell) and one of sliced strawberries. This plate was the most beautiful thing of the night, but it didn't seem to harmonize to me. Lastly, there was a plate with four truffles: double chocolate, lemon, white chocolate amaretto, and one other that I do not recall right now. The flavor was good on all, but the texture was more dense and dry than the creaminess I was expecting from the name "truffle" -- I am definitely no chocolate connoisseur or expert, though. (I just eat a lot of it.) Overall this was a solid four stars, but the great service and [especially the] liquid ganache for sipping topped it up to a five.

A solid selection of desserts that look amazing. The price of these choices are due to the presentation and less about the taste. We expected the sundae to be a massive portion, so we only got one to share. It was 2 small scoops with some goodies on top. A bit underwhelming but still tasty. Other shakes looked great, cookies on top and fancy fudge crust layer on the outside. You'll definitely be gettinf some gorgeous pictures and your sweet tooth satisfied. Atmospheric is dim and relaxed. I bit crammed, but outside seating saves the day. Overall pleasant and fun experience. Recommend to at least try this spot once 😁👍
