"Sabor Colombiano is an excellent Colombian restaurant in Pico-Union serving two different kinds of Colombian-style tamales: Tolimense and Vallecaucano. The Tolimense is made with cooked rice, pork, chicken, carrots, peas, and hard-boiled eggs, while the Vallecaucano is filled with pork, chicken, tomato, and onions. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I fly in and out of Newark all the time and this is definitely the best restaurant I've been to near the airport. The food and pastries were both incredible. Try the guava pastry, you won't be disappointed. Also the neighborhood that it's nestled in is very cute.

I’m so happy I decided to try this place after walking past it for so many times while taking my dog for a walk. I was instantly greeted and felt so welcomed by the person who was taking my order. He explained what each food was and gave me a suggestion of what to order. I think this might be my first time eating Colombian food and it tastes heavenly. That pork belly was so so good. 💯 recommend this place and I will definitely be back for more!

Not only is the food amazing, but the treatment is magnificent. The servers make you feel right at home. They are quick in getting the food on the table. The place has many things to offer. Pastries, breads, and fresh organic juices. They also have frituras! The empanadas are really good! You can't just have one, it'll make you want to eat at least 4.

Parking may be challenging since it’s all neighborhood street parking but food and service was amazing. Good quick bite and good cappuccino!

After ordering some food from the bakery specially Empanadas we found 3 hairs on them, out of 10 empanadas three were contaminated with long hairs. It looks like there are no wearing proper food handler equipment.

The food was so good and at a great price. The women who attended us were so kind and attentive. And we waited probably 15 minutes or less for our food, they worked very quickly and efficiently. Would go again!

The food is ok but they short change me every time, so today I told the lady she gave me short change and no receipt and that it happens quite often, the lady then threw the change at me. I also asked for toasted bread with butter but look what they gave me.

Pricey as heck. The prices on the menu does not reflect current charges. I ordered sancocho de res pequeño and that costs $6 and .50 to go like whoa. There was a tiny piece of meat :"( I also ordered the arepa con Queso y pan de queso pequeño and that was about $8 :( The lady that helped was nice though. A piece of chicharron is $8 geesh. I suppose that's everywhere now

Empanadas were good. The jugo de mora was good but mostly foam. The steak I ordered came out looking very very different than what was advertised on the menus but it was not bad just not what I was expecting. There were a few flies inside. Service was not to par. It was very busy when I went tho but I don't know if I'll be back.
