Great place for a hearty meal. Make sure to be very hungry when you get there! Good, local Colombian food that's hit or miss with some dishes. Some other reviews mentioned the great empanadas but I found them to be too oily and lacking in flavour. The tostones were good, although if you're not used to eating green plantain, you might find that a bit bland, too. The ripe plantain served with meals was delicious, though. I had the vegetarian meal (see photo) which was tasty and enjoyable except for the little pot of cooked veg in sauce which was extremely oily and too salty, even when mixed with rice. It didn't matter much as I still couldn't finish all my food, even with leaving that aside! I still enjoyed my meal and would come back again, although to try a meatier main meal. My husband had the mini paisa (see photo - the regular sized one was recommended by the waitress to be too much for one person) and it was still a really filling meal that was not easy to finish. The mince meat, pork belly and the sausage were all very, very tasty and I would give them six stars if I could! Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a casual meal with friendly service and a genuine, local Colombian feel. Alcoholic drinks also served here but we did not have any.
