Sabor Tacos

Well, My $17 steak taco and burrito was just meh. No side of salsa, pico or sauce came with it. The ingredients were lacking taste, but they were fresh. The meat is not marinated or tender. The $4 Taco was ok in taste but lacked the typical street taco authenticity. The corn shell was crispy not soft and I could not taste the cilantro which is a must. I don't know why they threw that many onions on it... The $12 steak burrito was bland. Not very big... $17 later and I'm still hungry.

So, this is a permanent food truck. Some good some bad, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to trying this place. Only 4 picnic tables for seating, which were all wet from a recent rain. They could have wiped then down. Placed our order there and they said 15 minutes. After 20 minutes I went to check on our order. Had to cut the line to do that, which I don't like doing. It was sitting there. They didn't bother to call our name when it was ready. I asked for extra napkins to wipe the picnic table down. He said there were napkins in the bag. There wasn't. No plastic-ware, either. Had to cut the line again to get that. Birria taco was dry and the dipping sauce that goes with it was really salty -- and I'm a generous salter when I cook. Shrimp taco was very fishy smelling. Just got home from here, so I'm waiting to see if get sick. [Update: didn't get sick.] Flavor was lacking with both of the tacos. The H burrito was huge, but a lot of the bulk was rice. Again, it fell short on flavor. [Update: much like Chinese and Thai food, this burrito was better the next day. Flavors needed a chance to do their thing.] I would, however, go back just for the street corn. That was 5 stars. Not sure what's going on in the immediate area, but it smelled like a petting zoo. Not terribly appetizing. At least they have an ice cream truck right next door. Nothing extravagant. Just usual, cone, sundaes, shakes and "blizzards." Had the ice cream cookie. It was good. Like I said, I'll probably be back for the street corn, but not much else. Oh, and someone didn't wipe their hands when they grabbed our Mexican Cokes. Saucy finger prints in both bottles. They could definitely do better.

Ordered online and picked up food late Thursday night. It was ready as soon as i arrived which was earlier than expected. The food was great. Everything was fresh, hot and tasted amazing! It definitely was the best loaded fries Ive ever had. I had the steak ones w/ nacho cheese & its now my favorite. I like the Sabor Supreme Taco alot. More than the Birria tacos but they were cool also. I'll definitely be back & i recommend you try them. I was just in the neighborhood, leaving a photoshoot and decided to see what was open.

Sabor tacos is our A1 spot. Great tacos. Shrimp tacos and steak street taco is my fav. With Cajun fries of course. They also have an ice cream truck next door that is also supreme.

These were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time! Can't beat the flavor!! Service was also great and shoutout Mo he made the experience 10/10!

Sooo this is suppose to come with lettuce and sour cream but I had neither even though i ordered an extra side of it. So not only did you not give it to me with my order but you couldn’t even give me the extra side that I ordered?

Overall, I would rate this spot a 3.5. The street tacos were amazing. The ground beef was seasoned to perfection. The street corn was good but I liked it better without the hot cheetos. I also got the beef birria. The meat also seasoned but for some reason it tasted as if they squeezed lime on it because it was sour to me. I also ordered the chicken nachos. This was by far the worst nachos I’ve ever had. Again the chicken was seasoned well but the chips were stale, the nachos were soggy, and had way too much squeeze cheese. Overall again, 3.5 out of 5 for me.

So it's 1:30 and I am hungry. I drove from Southgate to Hamtramck to order food. I first tasted my beef crunch wrap after I drained the grease off with paper towels but who cares. It was freaking delicious. I was like okkkay. Then I tasted my birria consume to see if I had to add seasoning to it. No ma'am it was seasoned to perfection had a little kick of about 2 or 3. Important to me because I can't handle spice but I still like to flirt with it. The birria taco delivered excellently. Then I taste my steak street taco and it banged as well. Hey if I could give them 6 stars I would. They had A1 custom service. The food was as good,amazing and seasoned to a balanced perfection. The amount I paid was justified, even with the 25 minute wait because they were busy. I can't wait to go back.

Food was fantastic! Absolutely delicious and moist burritos without it being drippy or wet. I like the location and the decor stands out and has a good vibe. The people were friendly and nice and clearly were having fun doing what they were doing. Only improvement I'd say would be if they had a better system for getting people their orders. Maybe a text system or even a loud speaker or something. Probs a number system as well. Anyway, go here, you won't regret it just maybe have some spare time just in case.

This place has potential, but at this point it is missing the mark. Firstly, the ordering system is so chaotic. We went to order at the truck and they told us our order would be ready in 30-40 mins. When we came back at the designated time, we had to wait in line all over again, which ended up being an hour after we first ordered. We asked if there's a separate line for pick-up orders, but they told us no and had us wait in the line everyone was ordering. The tacos were so dry and lacking in flavor. The quality of the ingredients is below average. It's disappointing when a taco truck does not make fresh guac and uses the pureed one you can get at a store. This place has a long way to go. Hope they invest more time and energy to use higher quality ingredients and figure out a better ordering system.

4.5 stars, the food was very good and hit the spot for a late night snack. My favourite was the supreme taco, but the steak street taco was good too. The least favourite was the chicken taco, and usually I prefer chicken over other meats. The cashier was polite even though he was super busy taking call orders as well. Other crew members will bring your boxed food to you instead of yelling out names. It's a food truck in a parking lot, with few other stores there so doesn't seem completely random. They have seating if you want to eat there and well decorated with just enough lights. It's halal!

Plenty of other good taco trucks. Just drive to southwest Detroit. 20 minutes to make a burrito with no one in line. I ordered a California burrito. The guacamole seemed like it was out of a can. Tons of chicken, but it didn't taste like typical Mexican seasoning and was really dry. No salsa in the burrito, just some chopped up tomatoes. Shredded cheddar cheese. Just not great at all. As for ambiance, it's a good truck by the side of the road, so no surprises there.

This food truck is a hidden gem in my opinion. Halal Mexican food truck offering traditional tacos and the beloved birria tacos (though the birria tasted a little underseasoned and dry imo) along with quesadillas and burritos as well. Price was reasonable as the tacos are pretty large. My favorite was the chicken supreme taco. There is also the cutest cat which wanders around the truck and comes up to you! There is also a dessert truck right next to the savory food truck where I think they sell ice cream and churros.

These guys are a joke. you ordered three tacos that are overpriced compared to other Tacos in the area... then they still want to charge you a dollar for sauce.. every other place will give you the sauce for free and their tacos are two dollars or $2.50 not $5

Food is top tier! I was referred to them and yes it is worth the wait. Repeat customer for sure

This is a food truck in Hamtramck , I ordered the Mexican rice bowl , which was delicious Very large portion , I was able to eat off it for 2 days The only negative is they get very busy and it can take a while for your order to be ready , expect to wait about 25-30 mins I'll definitely be back

Great food and service. Enjoyed the shrimp and Birria tacos. Plenty of parking space. Order ahead as they do get busy.
