Where to Find the Best Oaxacan Food in Portland - Eater Portland

"Sabor Tindureño fills its tetelas with piquant salsa roja, fresh avocado leaves, and black beans, serving them with sour cream and queso. They also serve moles and tlayudas." - Nathan Williams

Where to Eat and Drink in Portland’s Lents Neighborhood | Eater Portland

"Just steps from the Foster Max station, the Flipside bar has been hosting a dynamic assortment of food carts since opening in 2018. Each are worth trying, but Oaxacan cart Sabor Tindureño concocts a dark, complex mole that will keep folks coming back. Enjoy the iconic Oaxacan sauce in a mole plate or burrito. Just as satisfying are the picaditas, fluffy handmade tortillas topped with Oaxacan cheese and spicy asada or fresh, piquant cactus." - Nathan Williams

Quite bad - came here based on the good reviews. I almost never leave reviews, but this is the worst Mexican food I've had in a long time. People seem to love the mole burrito - I found the mole to be almost flavorless, the chicken not tender at all, and for some reason they use mozzarella cheese, which really doesn't pair well with the other flavors.

My husband and I used to go to Kay’s I Sellwood-Moreland all of the time specifically for the mole! We were so excited to learn that the magical mole makers opened their own food cart!! We ordered the bowl, a mole burrito, a mole-less burrito, a quesadilla, and the nachos to celebrate visiting Sabor Tindureño for the first time, and everything was absolutely delicious. Plus, the owners are wonderful, and the bar is a great place to wait. Excited to make this a regular take out option for the family :)

The chicken bowl was just PERFECT. No salsa needed- phenomenal flavor profile 🤩🤩 tacos were 3 for $5- killer bang for your buck. Can’t wait to be back!

I ordered the 6 for $14 tacos, they come with carne asada, onions and cilantro, I asked for these and sour cream and cheese and I’m honestly disappointed, not only did it take around 30 minutes but the presentation was horrible it was like my food was just thrown into the box, I got feta cheese sprinkled on top and they didn’t even bother to try and put sour cream on the taco they put the sour cream in a tiny hot sauce cup, which was no where enough for 6 tacos… Very disappointed I wouldn’t have tipped nor wasted my lunch break..

Unbelievable stuff: Incredibly clean and well-kept cart, food was high quality with a good size portion, packed with flavor, delicious in all the best ways. Food did take a little long - probably about 15 minutes - well worth the wait. Came with actually sturdy plastic forks and knives, no flimsy BS. Asked for hot sauce, the sauce was incredibly fresh and added a layer of flavor on top. 10/10 Would eat again.

This is my favorite food cart. The molé burrito is amazeballs and I’m in love with the homemade molé that makes me feel like I’m in Oaxaca.

Great vegetarian tacos here, and I love that the red salsa is actually really spicy.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite food trucks, because the food is delicious and the women working it are so kind and quick. The menu is easy to read, they work with allergies and I've never had such tender tinga (a type of chicken). I always order a bowl, and tacos. I've also had the chiliajo which is a delicious red sauce pork. Always been happy with my food and the pricing is reasonable. I believe everything is gluten free which is a plus to me.

Yelp
This is a new food cart for the area of Lents and we are lucky to have them. I had the mole burrito with chicken and it could have been the best burrito I've ever had. The mole sauce was perfectly balanced and everything we ordered was fantastic. Check them out!
