14 Best Spanish Restaurants Around D.C. | Eater DC

"Open since 2023 off Columbia Pike, Sabores has quickly become an Arlington favorite for regional cuisine from Spain and Latin countries like Colombia, Venezuela, and Honduras (where the three owners are from). Creamy lobster bisque, stuffed piquillo peppers, gambas al ajillo, and paella are all done well here. A popular weekend brunch features bottomless tapas and $5 sangrias." - Tierney Plumb

Sabores, my favorite Latin restaurant, is a cozy and spotlessly clean haven where I love to dine with my husband and friends. The owners and staff make us feel like part of their extended family, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their menu is constantly evolving, featuring new dishes for special occasions like Independence Day in Latin America and the United States, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Restaurant Week, Cinco de Mayo, and Wine Nights. This variety ensures that every visit is unique and exciting. Live music occasionally adds to the ambiance, and I follow them on Instagram to stay updated on their monthly event calendar. My friends and I relish their weekend BRUNCH, an all-you-can-eat feast at an unbeatable price. My husband and I enjoy their weekly HAPPY HOUR menu. If you haven’t been to Sabores yet, you’re missing out on an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Located conveniently in Arlington, just a short drive from Falls Church, Alexandria, and Washington, D.C., Sabores offers FREE GARAGE PARKING in a spacious giant garage.

We had a team dinner tonight and one of our colleagues who was familiar with the menu ordered appetizers and Tapas! The food was so delicious and tasty and the service was fabulous! The dessert was good as well! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

A Top 5-Star Brunch Experience at Sabores! A group of us organized a birthday brunch for a friend at Sabores, and it was an amazing experience! With a large party of 20, the Sabores team made it all feel effortless, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration. As someone with celiac disease, dining out can be challenging, but Alex, Carlos, and Ernesto went out of their way to make sure I felt safe and included. They personally prepared a special dish for me—a perfectly cooked steak with a fresh salad—taking every precaution to prevent cross-contamination. They even brought my plate out separately, showing incredible attention to detail. Beyond that, my friends couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was. Everything was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with great attention. The staff was attentive, kind, and efficient, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the celebration even more special. Sabores offers gluten-free options on their menu, and they are very careful if you let them know about any allergies or dietary restrictions to ensure no cross-contamination. If you’re looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a fun, inviting vibe, Sabores is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended!

Sabores Tapas Bar Is incredible if you are looking for food from Spain. The food and the service were perfect. The tapas are the best, im from Spain and I can ensure you that they have the same level as the ones that you can have in Madrid. I 100% recommend going to this place.

One of a few favorite neighborhood establishments, offering delicious and Healthy options, but especially warm, welcoming and professional service. Owners Carlos, Alex, and staff Freddie and others are consistently onboard and available to ensure quality experiences and events. Keep up the good work! 🥂

Google
Food and atmosphere were good but the service was great! Attentive and provided answers to questions about the food. The Feijoada was made with beef and was excellent! The Arepitas with beef and chicken were good, the beef was our preferred, and the patacones with beef and chicken. Also got some steak with chimichurri sauce that was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The octopus my friend had was kind of bland and he enjoyed the chicharron (pork rinds). Overall would recommend this place just don’t come when the staff is having their midday meal.

I discovered Sabores a few months ago, and have kept coming back to the point I consider myself a regular :) The quality of the food and hospitality are their biggest asset, they can accommodate requests and alter dishes to meet your needs. The cocktail and drinks selection is plenty and they are sure to put a smile in your face. They do special events, I have celebrated two birthdays and brought large groups.

My partner and I were visiting this weekend. If we would have found this place on our first day we probably would have gone everyday. My favorites were the tamarind mimosa, baleadas (although it’s my first time having them with black beans) and the patacones con pollo. I probably would not get the patatas con huevo or the chaufa con carne again. The patatas could have been crispier and with less sauce. I’ve had chaufa before but for some reason it had a sweet taste which wasn’t my favorite. Overall, It’s a good concept they have going on. The music was great. The personnel is very attentive. Additionally, it was fairly cheap compared to the other restaurants we visited. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area again!

Yelp
OK! I have been in over a dozen times now and I have to let you know what my favorite items are!!!!! I have a lot to say about the food at Sabores Tapas Bar but i do not want to write a WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE-LENGTH REVIEW so i will TRY to keep it brief. Before coming in i LOVE that you can validate parking in the attached garage!!! My typical order: PITCHER OF SANGRIA! Ceviche de Camaron, Arroz de Azafran y Mariscos, Datiles con Tocino, Croquetas de Pollo and Churrasco!!! But also if i want a big entree i recommend the Salmon Chaufa and the Lomo Saltado. hehehe Breaking down more of my favs from the menu below :) STARTERS: I love the ceviches, specifically the Ceviche de Camaron (shrimp)!! i also enjoy the guacamole - i usually order when waiting for all of my chronically late friends! the Crema de Langosta, or the Lobster Bisque is also enjoyable when i'm in the mood :) but hard to share this hehe VEGETABLES: The patatas bravas is a group favorite! what is not to like i also enjoy the zucchini fries when i am lying to myself about being healthy by eating a (fried) vegetable !!! they are so good FINGER FOODS: THERE IS NOT A SINGLE MISS IN THIS SECTION!!!!!!! I typically order the Datiles con Tocino (bacon wrapped dates) and Croquetas de Pollo (chicken croquettes!!!!!) but the patacones, arepitas, and chicharrones are also amazingggg (i'm sobbing on my knees as i type this) MEATS: THE CHURRASCO!!! SEAFOOD: I love the Arroz de Azafran y Mariscos!!!!! Also love the Calamares! other notes: first of all service is always amazing so don't worry about that. wine selection impeccable. but also love the brazilian limeade. :) live music on many days - check their instagram to see what events theyre having!! DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON BRUNCH!!!!(THEIR SLIDERS)!!!!!!

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice and wait staff amazing. I'd like to give this place a higher rating, but I was disappointed with the ceviche which lacked that citrusy punch and was very bland and the plantain chips were burnt tasting. The mahi mahi was dry/overcooked and bland. I thought the tomato salsa would add flavor, but the dish, overall was lacking in flavor. The calamari was so so as well. On the flip side, the fried zucchini and churassco was DELICIOUS!! The sangria was really tasty and my husband's watermelon margarita was delish! Our waiter, Christian, was awesome, providing suggestions on the menu. He even shined as a great photographer, capturing a wonderful Mother's Day photo for us. If I was to visit again, I'd stick with the Churassco, patatas brava and a sangria!

Yelp
Sabores Tapas Bar was featured on Yelp's Top 50 Places to Eat in the U.S. It opened a little over a year ago in March 2023. They offered validated parking to all patrons. Our party of 4 opted in for the bottomless brunch option for $32.99/person. For 2 hours, each of us enjoyed a couple of $1 Mimosas and $5 Red Sangrias. We shared items from each categories. From Para Empezar (To Start), we enjoyed the Pan Con Tomate Y Jamon Serrano, Pan Con Tomate Y Queso Manchego, and Ensalada de Manzana y Manchego. For the Pan Con Tomate Y Jamon Serrano and Pan Con Tomate Y Queso Manchego, we loved how the bread was soft and easy to bite into! From Pa´Comé Con La Mano (Finger Food), we had Beef Arepitas Fritas, Chicken Empanaditas, and Patacones Con Guacamole. Among the three, my favorite was the Empanaditas because of their crispy exterior! From Vegetales (Vegetables), we enjoyed Tortilla de Patatas and Espinacas a la Catalana. Both dishes were savory! From Chef's Favorites, we enjoyed all of them - Pintxo Moruno, Baleadas de Huevo, Chorizos, Tostada De Carne, Patatas Bravas Con Huevo, Feijoada, and Huevos Con Chilaquiles. Among the seven, my favorites were Chorizos and Feijoada. I liked how there were two kinds of chorizos, some that weren't spicy and some that were spicy. The Feijoada reminded me of barbeque baked beans. From Mini Burguer (Sliders), we loved the Pepito Sliders so much we had two orders of it. The beef slider was juicy and tasty. From Dulces (Sweets), we enjoyed the Wafles con Guayaba. The waffle was sweet and savory. The guava paste was an added bonus and certainly made the waffle more interested.

Celebrated my sons graduation here. Loved everything about it. The service was perfect and the food was amazing.

Yelp
My friends and I went for Sunday Brunch- it was Easter Sunday. You can do unlimited brunch/ bottomless tapas for $32.99. $1 mimosas or do a la carte. If you do bottomless brunch then everyone at the table had to do it and it's a 2 hour limit. The ambiance of the restaurant is good. There are both and tables and our waitress was very nice. The food was awesome and I would definitely come back. I ate my full.

Yelp
Cute tapas spot in Arlington. Very friendly staff with quick service. Plenty of seating facing the windows in high chairs or in towards the back of the restaurant in booths. Great prices and even better prices during happy hour. A lot of menu options with well-sized portions. This place is a must try spot for tapas. There's a lot of other good options around the DMV, however, you're likely to have to pay a lot more for a similar experience.

Yelp
Best seafood paella! Patient and attentive waitress! The general manager was super friendly! Quiet night on a Wednesday. Love the comfy booth. Great for conversations. Won't be surprised if the place is packed on weekends.

Yelp
I went here on valentine's day since it was no-meat friendly (Ash Wednesday double header) and they had pitchers of sangria! We started with some water - make sure to ask for tap. Then we got a pitcher of white sangria, really good. Smelled like cream soda and tasted great. We got a handful of food: lobster bisque (good but definitely enough to share), pichana (couldn't try but the gf said it was good); chicken arepitas (same as one before); patatas bravas (very good); salmon (not bad, really just a filet); shrimp (ORDER THIS - BOMB); and chicken croquettas (same as other meat). It was pretty busy for Valentine's day (go figure) but still worth it. There's a parking garage right below it so no issues there. Overall, would recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
If you're on the hunt for some seriously authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further than Sabores Tapas Bar! The drinks are absolutely on point, making their brunch a must-try. From savory to sweet, every dish I tried was a hit, and I was so caught up in the flavors that I half forgot to snap photos of my meals! The atmosphere at Sabores is just amazing. It's the perfect spot for a vibrant and lively brunch, especially when you're out with the girls or a fun group of friends. The bar shares a parking garage with a nearby store, and there are other businesses around, so the whole area has a great, walkable vibe. ‍ Whether you're craving a delicious Mexican feast or just want to enjoy some quality time and tasty bites, Sabores Tapas Bar is definitely the place to be. Can't wait to go back for more! Price can vary $30 add 5 bottle less mimosas

Yelp
Oh my goodness!!! My experience at Sabores was absolutely incredible. From the moment I walked in, everyone, from the owner to the bartender, made me feel so welcome. I visited to celebrate my friend's birthday and got to taste some of the best paella in the DMV. The unforgettable serenade and tableside crème brûlée were highlights of the night. I can't wait to return for more paella, arepas, and sangria!

Yelp
First time here and my boyfriend and I had such a great experience! The food was amazing, and there was not one dish we didn't like. I got their special mocktail of the week and my boyfriend got a mango margarita. Both were good! We also tried their seafood paella for two, which is plenty by the way and a bunch of tapas. We had the potato bravas, carne chimmichurri, pork Al pastor, and calamari, and we enjoyed the food from start to finish. The food came out fast and there were a few servers who would quickly run to our table to clean off the tapas we finished to keep the table from being too congested. I will say, the one thing I didn't appreciate was that it almost felt like our server was really pushing us to continue ordering food by saying the plates are "really small" "dessert is only good for one person and really small" and not giving us the option to drink tap water. Still water and sparkling were the only two options given to us. Don't be fooled, plates are definitely good for sharing and so is the dessert. We ordered a tres leches and almost went for another one bc our server suggested it wasn't enough, but one was plenty for two. The inside is bright, big, and welcoming and quiet enough where you can talk to your confidants comfortably. There is a parking garage behind the restaurant which they validate so be sure to bring your ticket in with you.

Yelp
I came here for dinner during a conference. Cute place with friendly staff that is very helpful. The food is delicious, just not as great as some of the other tapas bar I have been to, but I was told by my friend that my standard is on the high side . Overall I had a great experience and recommend the place!

Yelp
We tried this restaurant because it was DC restaurant week as well as it was on the top 100 Washingtonian list. All of the courses were great, except for the main dishes. Like all of the appetizer courses, the dessert all phenomenal. But we were disappointed by a main dishes. I would say that if I would come again, I'd probably just get a few of the appetizers and split a main dish with my partner. And definitely go for desserts

Yelp
BEST happy hour! Its from 3-7 on weekdays. The portions are great and the pricing is even better. We got to sit outside. The service was also great and attentive 10/10

Yelp
Excellent! Stopped by on Mothers Day and had a fantastic experience. We had entrees, not tapas, and they were DELICIOUS the beef with beans and rice and plantains was dynamo, my boyfriend's mother loved the salmon, and the beef and fried was loved by my bf. The portions are super generous, we all had leftovers. The Quattro Leches cake was also delicious and a perfect treat to share. The service was especially good, even on a busy holiday evening. I'll definitely be back and have been telling others to try out this spot!

Yelp
Always a joy when a DMV establishment makes it to Yelp 100, and good reason to go and try. Sabores did not disappoint, based on the bottomless brunch service. My only complaint would be that they don't have coffee refills. But otherwise, the mimosas are all very tasty and actually have the fruit aroma they claim to have. With the exception of the crispy tostada plates and the Spanish tortilla de patatas, I truly enjoyed everything, but there was one star; Patatas Bravas! The best I've had in a while. The service was attentive, and the colorful vibe in the room is also very inviting. Will give the a la carte service a try as well

Yelp
They had me at tapas. A great place to catch up with friends. Ambiance - It was open and bright. They had booths as well as regular tables. Food - Yummy. We did the Arlington Restaurant Week menu, and we were full when we left! They even accommodated my friend's vegetarian diet. My only complaint is that they served me old coffee, but immediately brought me a fresh, hot cup when I brought it to their attention. Customer Service - Great! The staff was friendly from beginning to end. Our server did a good job suggesting how to handle the vegetarian in our party. Overall, it's worth a repeat visit. I suggest stopping by.

Yelp
WOW. Where to start?! This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. The food, service and ambience were absolutely five stars in every respect. My girl friend and I went here for a catch-up lunch date. She has been here several times before, and raved about the food - so the bar was set high from jump, and Sabores did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we were seated immediately. We were provided iced waters along with the lunch specials menu and regular menu. They were running a special where, if everyone at the table participated, you would each get the option of four tapas courses plus dessert for a whopping $25. It seemed like a great deal - and it was! My friend and I selected different meal options to share, so I was able to sample several different dishes, and let me say...I was full by the second course! But, that didn't stop me from finishing the meal. Between the two of us, we ordered the fried datiles con tocino, arepitas, salmon a la plancha, pintxo moruno, la maceta de chocolate and tarta de queso maracuya. We actually had to cut ourselves off with dessert because we were too full, but let me say...it was so challenging because the food was delicious. All in all, a must see/must eat. The service was fantastic. The food was incredible. And I'm only disappointed I couldn't eat more!

Yelp
Me and the Mrs went for restaurant week and it was amazing! The highlights were the DRINKS! So much flavor and just the right balance of alcohol. Definitely try the chicken bites and the chocolate dirt cake.

Yelp
Wow!! Sabores was delicious, and what an eclectic menu! Sabores' menu is unique as it features Spanish dishes and other Latin American dishes, such as Peruvian, and specials based on different holidays, so it's every changing! The day we visited, they were celebrating Bolivian Independence Day. The service was really great. The servers come by often, and brought out new plates once we changed courses. Since they were tapas, it wasn't technically a new course, but we ordered another round of food. My party and I ordered a ton of food!! Some of my favorites were the: Patatas bravas - the sauce they had is sooo good. Salmon a la Plancha - the fried rice with this SLAPS. also the salmon is great :D Patacones - these were so fun to eat. The plantain is shaped into such a cute crunchy mini bowl that the chicken and beef are placed in. Pollo Saltado - great soy sauce-based marinade! Arroz de Azafran y Mariscos - the Spanish saffron rice in this dish is amazing! The decor and set up is also quite nice and relaxing. It's not tooo casual but it's not very fancy either. Great for family or friend gatherings, and there's always staff on hand! I really enjoyed my dining experience here.

Yelp
Yoooooo Sabores goes so hard. On Wednesday's they always have impeccable live music and the vibes are immaculate. The food absolutely slaps and this has become my #1 place for tapas. The servers, bar tenders, and manger are all so nice too. My goal is to come once a week so we can try everything on the menu! The drinks are also fire, don't sleep on happy hour, my fav time to come! Fav dishes (for now) are the lomo saltado, croquettas, the bacon wrapped dates, and the arepitas! I also love that they have rotating specials! This week is Bolivian Independence Day so they have 3 specials related to that.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing! I will definitely coming back. We tried their happy hour special which gives a variety food options and drinks. The sliders were delicious and their margaritas were hitting. They also have a great brunch special which includes unlimited food for $35 and drinks ranging from $1 to $5 which is cheaper if you are not a big drinker. The ambiance was nice and staff was attentive.

Yelp
I had a beets salad, ceviche and sirloin slices of steak. The dinner was excellent equivalent to Jose Andre's Jaleo chain without the steep price. If you are in Arlington Virginia. This Latin Spanish Tapa bar is well worth a visit and go back again, again, and again. The servers and bartender were attentive and making to all of your satisfaction!

Yelp
Everytime I come here its a great time with amasing food and overall fun ambiance. The service is excellent especially considering my happy hour group was 11 people in various cheques. The drinks are awesome too, had some mojitos and margs. Portions are good considering their tapas and can be easily shared so you can order a lil' of e everything. Easily the best tapas bar we have in the DMV. You're missing out if you haven't yet stopped in.

Yelp
Sabores is AMAZING! We've gotten it twice now, once today and once last fall and both times were amazing. Both times we got the same-ish order: salmon chaufa, shrimp ceviche, saffron shrimp and rice, and the brownie dessert. It's nice they allow a side of chaufa, in a smaller size and without the salmon. Everything is to die for, the ceviche is some of the best I ever had in my life and the chaufa is equally delicious. The second time (today) trying the saffron rice wasn't quite as good- there were only two shrimp and the rice tasted fishy (not in a good way) but utterly didn't detract from any of it. They also gave us a side of plantains and toast both times. 1,000/10 recommend, and also the staff are super nice and welcoming!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by for dinner last Monday and I've been excited to give Sabores Tapas Bar a try because I've heard a lot of raving reviews about it. I was floored by how good the tapas here were. Everything we tried was above average, and our server was so helpful and willing to give her input on her favorite tapas and recommend options based on our preferences. PATATAS BRAVAS - 8 Lots of aioli and bravas sauce. This is a staple tapa that you can't really go wrong with and hard to mess up. The potatoes were crispy and the sauces were standard. Nothing special, but a classic option that is worth getting. SETAS AL AJILLO - 8 I love mushrooms and these were good, but I wish the mushrooms soaked up more flavor. Even though there were garlic, olive oil and parsley, I still felt like the mushrooms themselves were a bit bland. Still would recommend if you're a mushroom fan like me! CROQUETAS DE POLLO - 8 Comes with five bite sized croquettes. Super creamy (not too heavy, probably because it's just a bite) with white meat chicken, I think. These were great and my group enjoyed them. AREPITAS - 8 I believe these came with four (very tasty) bites. We chose the shredded beef as our option and it was so flavorful and well marinated. On top of that, the cheese added more of a savory taste and the fried corn cakes were similar to fries and were perfectly crispy. These were so delicious and definitely one of my favorite tapas that I've tried, would highly recommend. CHICARRÓN CON YUCA FRITA - 7 Not the biggest fans of the pork rinds (they were kind of hard on my teeth and stuck in between the cracks), but the yuca fries here are a must. It was so crispy and so flavorful. The sauces that come with it were delicious too, so I'd recommend ordering this just for the yuca! CHURRASCO - 13 I enjoyed the grilled skirt steak (very tender, too, and you can choose how you want your steak grilled) but I'm not a huge fan of the chimichurri sauce. However, if you like chimichurri, this is a great option. My friends found this tapa the most flavorful and a couple of them thought it was their favorite of tonight. PICANHA AO ALHO - 12 This was my favorite. The sirloin pieces were just seasoned gently with salt and olive oil (and we requested medium rare) and it was so delicious. Maybe I'm just a simple person and prefer it without sauce, but this was definitely my favorite tapa of tonight. The steak was juicy, tasty and tender, and yet, so simple. ARROZ DE AZAFRÁN Y MARISCOS - 12 I really liked the mussels that came with this tapa and would definitely want to try other tapas with mussels or clams from this location in the future. The rice was a bit mushy and didn't have a lot of flavor. There was a good amount of shrimp, peppers, and other garnishes mixed in. Still, it's not a bad option if you want something with a rice base. Sabores is pretty new (opened sometime in spring 2023?) but I know I will be back to try other tapas. I'm impressed by the quality and price of the food and am thankful that there is a delicious tapas restaurant so close to me. I want to say this is the best tapas I've had in this area.

Yelp
We enjoyed Sabores, but, seeing all the very, very positive reviews, we were expecting more.  The menu has a lot of classic options and the food is good. The space is clean and open.  The initial service was good until dessert time when we waited and waited and waited and actually had to flag someone down twice to ask where our order was.  The dishes we ordered were the croquetas, the tortilla de patatas,  gambas al ajillo, mejillones al vaporband cerdo al pastor for appetizers.  For desserts we had the cuatro leches cake and the signature la maceta de chocolate which really was adorable and very tasty.  I think, if we come back again, it would be this dessert that would bring us back.  Sabores was tasty but not as special as we had been led to believe and the frustration with the service at the end of the l meal had a negative impact on our lunch.  Garage parking is available.  It is around the corner past the restaurant and by the Giant

Yelp
I am sad to give this place 3 stars but I was not impressed with the food or the prices. Some of the dishes tasted like they were frozen meals. The papas bravas were very over-sauced yet still lacked flavor. Even the chips and gauc lacked any depth of flavor. I tried 5 separate dishes and honestly didn't like any of them :/
google avatar

Yelp
Nice hidden gem in the less busier area of Arlington. We shared the Chuletón Vasco (Ribeye and Potatoes) The steak had great flavors, but a little chewy in some areas. The potatoes were good and the chimichurri sauce they spread over it added more flavor. Also tried their beet salad, which was light, refreshing and a good palate cleanser from the heavy steak. Overall a good experience. Will have to come back sometime and try their tapas.

Yelp
The food here was really great, and the mezcal margarita was excellent. Overall I feel like the food outshines some of the cheaper aspects of the restaurant, which comes off like a chain restaurant. I can highly recommend the calamari, Serrano ham, and the picanha and the crème brûlée. Also the ceviche was excellent. Sitting outside is pretty noisy as the restaurant sits right on Columbia Pike, and the music is loud. That said, the service was still attentive. Modestly priced- this was a great little place to have a low key meal. Also the bathroom was clean.

Tj Y.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing service, owner is a sick dude, along with his family. Super friendly atmosphere, and very very clean. Affordable prices especially when compared to the experience you receive from this restaurant. 5/5 recommended.

Yelp
Literally some of the best food I've had! We came here with our happy hour group and really enjoyed ourselves! The service was amazing and was thankful our server was so attentive to our large group. We came on a night where they had live music. The food here was absolutely delicious! The black beans are some of the most delicious black beans I've ever had in my life. Cannot wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Service was good, place was crowded, drinks are fine, and not expensive. Plus decent happy hour with validated parking. I can see why good reviews, except the food is ok. We ordered a large variety of items and maybe one dish was memorable (Patatas Bravas). Doubt I would go back. Not the healthiest but give them credit for trying hard. Worth a visit, most people seem to like the place.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! The food is great, the staff is great, the drinks are great. I got so much stuff, I cannot even list it all, but I got a big enough variety to say...everything is great.

Yelp
Sabres is a great tapas addition to the food scene on Columbia Pike in Arlington. We were seated in a nice booth as soon as we entered. Our server Christian, was friendly and gave us time to look over the menu. He also provided excellent recommendations on tapas options when I asked. We ordered the red sangria pitcher, which tasted great and was a good amount for two people. We ordered two rounds of tapas, three plates each round and that was definitely plenty. The steak plates were probably my favorite. The asparagus was also perfectly cooked and tasty. The guacamole was also a delicious starter. The quatro leches cake was a perfect end to our dinner. The atmosphere and decor are very nice. I'd definitely comeback. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
An excellent gem of a tapas bar, excellent service, but the ambiance is a little tacky. No worries though because the food absolutely blew me away. The arepitas with shredded beef, croquettes, and churrasca was among my faves. The jamon Serrano starter was also perfection! An excellent meal overall!

Yelp
Best arepas & cuartro leches. Food was very good overall. We were 4 adults and tried @12 tapas and a main course. Service was excellent!

Yelp
Delicious! I've tried several of the tapas. Pretty good service too! Nice outdoor seating that is dog friendly.

Yelp
They were giving samples at my gym's open house. I tasted a chicken croquette that was very tasty. I also had the chicken arepa which was cheese and chicken on a corn cake. It was small yet filling. I didn't try the beef arepa. I would definitely consider them to cater.

Yelp
I had an incredible brunch visit on a recent weekend. Easy nearby garage parking for free. Lovely space and location for a restaurant! I walked in and was taken in by the generous menu offerings. The Brazilian limeade had a zing and was a great way to start the meal. We ordered a lot for the table of six, we were all pleasantly stuffed and delighted by the variety, though I didn't get pics of everything because it was such a good time. I will be going back to try more items on the menu! Ensalada de remolacha (beet salad) - Refreshing and tasty. You will be pleased with the lemony dressing and subtle flavor of the beets. I only would recommend that the walnut pieces be a bit smaller so I could get more in every bite. Ceviche de pescado - Delicious citrusy fish full of flavor. I loved how it was served with plantain chips. Dorado a la plancha (mahi mahi with pineapple salsa) - The tender fish paired so well with the salsa! A light and tasty dish. Arroz de azafran y mariscos (Spanish saffron rice with mussels and shrimp) - Perhaps one of my favorites! I have been thinking of the fluffy saffron rice since I've had it because it was the perfect texture and generously filled with herbs and seafood. Salmon chaufa - This was perfectly cooked salmon on top of fried rice; if I had to choose a go-to entree, it would be this. Churrasco - The chimichurri sauce paired beautifully and further elevated a great cut of meat. Croquetas de pollo - Creamy and delectable, very satisfying to include in your meal. Datiles con tocino - Bacon wrapped dates made uniquely crispy. La maceta de chocolate - I loved the presentation of this layered mousse cake in a little flower pot!

Yelp
Can't wait to go back to this restaurant! Once a month I actually take a lunch break and escape work with a couple friends. We decided to try Sabores and wow...so good! At noon on a Weds we had our pick of tables. The server was wonderful and kind, sharing plenty of great recommendations. He knew the menu very well despite being new. I'm pretty familiar with Spanish tapas and Brazilian food but always like to hear what the servers recommend. His recommendations matched up with most of the things I wanted to order! We got a side of fried plantains which were sweet with a good little sauce on the side. The recommended ceviche de pescado - which I really tried to share equally but probably stole most of. My friends never had picanha so we ordered it but the next time I want to try the recommended churrasco with chimichurri sauce. We also ordered the arepitas (which my friends really liked) and espinachas a la Catalana - if you enjoy warmed spinach salad...the dressing was light and lovely. Liked it all but the raisins in the salad (not a fan of raisins). These plates filled up the three of us but I was wishing I had room to try some of my other favorite tapas like Gambas al ajillo. Next time. I would love to go for happy hour and get a caipirinha. Hoping they'll consider adding one with maracuja! To top it all off (maybe the owner?) brought out their popular dessert La Maceta. It's a delicious flowerpot filled with chocolate mousse layers - somehow we found a little extra room to finish it off :) Certainly recommend this restaurant! So happy to have another great place to eat in South Arlington.

Yelp
Very good treat. Got 3-4 things and it was the perfect amount for two people. The area it's in scared me a little bit.

Yelp
Excellent tapas place! Amazing hospitality... we accidentally came 30 minutes before they opened, but they still let us in to order drinks first... then food once the kitchen was ready to open. So they open at 4pm, not 3pm, which is confusing since it says different things on the website. They're also very attentive and friendly here. My favorites were the Salmon Arroz Chaufa and Ceviche de Pescado, but everything else was still pretty good. Other noteworthy things we got were the Tabla de Quesos, Zucchini Frito, and Calamaries Fritos. The La Maceta de Chocolate is a popular dessert since it looks like a plant in a pot for a good reason... delicious and cute!

Yelp
Excellent tapas! We mostly ate off the happy hour menu, and it was perfect for sharing. Staff was kind and polite, and I have to say - the bar chairs were very comfortable! One note: if you have the cilantro-soap gene like me, I would recommend say no cilantro as it comes sprinkled on almost everything.

Yelp
Food, service, portions, and drinks all fantastic! We had a large party to accommodate and the staff were excellent! Cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
This was a great spot for lovely tapas and the BEST service I've had in the area. Hosts and wait staff were amazing.

Yelp
This a great place! Only losing one star because the sangria is not at all authentic or good and the saffron seafood rice was a crap ton of rice, little seafood, and didn't really have the saffron flavor I was hoping for. BUT everything else was perfect!!! This place is off to a great start. The service was fast. I had a nice glass of Malbec for a really reasonable price. The asparagus was really excellent, as was the fried zucchini. I tasted my friend's tortilla espanola and wished I had ordered it because it was REALLY good. I will get it next time. Pork and fried plantains my friend got were also good. Reasonable prices and good food, we will be back.

Yelp
My wife surprised me with a birthday celebration at a new Tapas restaurant that was getting good buzz. The space is open and bright and the walls are painted to look like a mural. We were quickly seated and greeted by our server who took our drink orders and made a few recommendations. We had: Guacamole, Garbanzos con espinacas, patas bravas, pintxcho (pincho) moruno and salmon a la plancha. We have a very adventurous and growing six year-old but with the three of us, it was too much food. They were all delicious but my wife and daughter were in awe of the garbanzos. My wife and I each had the Old Fashioned and shared an incredible mojito. We ended the evening with "La Maceta de Chocolate" which had incredible presentation in a terra cota pot and was a perfect end to the evening. I cannot wait to try the other items on the menu!

Yelp
Professional, well-mannered, and diligent wait staff. Our food came out as expected - hot as expected, cold on cool plates. The food is diverse and delicious. Tapas, here, are small sharable. The various dishes are delectable. The ambiance is like that of a bar in Mexico or anywhere in Central America, for that matter.
