Best Restaurants and Bars in Collingswood, New Jersey, Near Philly | Eater Philly

"The Collingswood location of Philly-born chain Sabrina’s is as popular as its siblings, with a patio and a brunch-centric menu for mimosa-sipping patrons. Stuffed challah French toast is a go-to for anyone who can take it slow afterward, while there are plenty of veggie choices for those who want to keep things light and bright." - Ernest Owens

Love love love this restaurant they are vibrant attentive and inclusive. The space feels like you’re eating in the comfort of friends and family. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte which they made extra pretty for me (it’s the little things) 🥰 and the huevos ranchos which were absolutely delicious. We even asked for coloring pages and they happily obliged. Go with a friend you’ll always be treated so well!

Google
Sabrina’s Café is one of the most reliable breakfast and brunch spots around! The food is always excellent, and the service is consistently quick and friendly. Be prepared for a wait on weekends- (anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour). but it’s absolutely worth it. The portions are huge, and I always end up taking leftovers home. The prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you get. A perfect place to start your day, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend this and their other Philly locations!

Some of the best food I’ve had in a minute!!! Everything was so fresh and packed with flavor. The vibes were cozy, the service was on point, and honestly… I’m already planning my next trip back. If you haven’t been to Sabrina’s Cafe yet, do yourself a favor and go!! 😋

We've been coming here for a while and the first few visits were great. However, this new process where we check in with one person and another person with a tablet chooses where we sit is getting ridiculous. We arrived around 11:45. We waited another 15 mins once checked in. My wife cannot sit at a high top due to her needing knee surgery. This is the 3rd time where we've specifically asked for a normal table not high top and they've tried seating us at a high top. We asked to switch to a normal table aaaaaannnnndddd attitude. After about another 10mins the same guy just stood by our new table today and stared at us like he wanted to do something to us. I was about to get up when the waiter came to take our order. He then went around our table and came and stood behind the waiter and stared again. I pushed my chair out and he walked away. A similar incident happed the last 2 times we've visited. This is the last time we'll support this restaurant. Our food order even had issues. We've been to other Sabrina's cafés and we enjoyed everything but the staff here in collingswood is different.

I tried the jerk shrimp tacos, morning tacos, and home fries, and everything was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The specialty lemonades were refreshing and tasty. I’m excited to return and explore more items from the menu!

Google
Food is always excellent and service is always phenomenally pleasant. The temperature in the colder months can be unpleasant and drafty, which may effect the quality of the temperature of your meal if your not a speedy eater. But all in all a good dine.

Google
This place is amazing! Absolutely everything — from the friendly staff to the interior, and of course the taste of the food (and portion size) — was delightful! They have a patio and are very pet-friendly. Definitely recommend and will absolutely be coming back!

Google
This is a very busy spot. There was a 15 min wait time before we could be seated. The Cafe has great esthetics over all. The food was great. The service was awesome. Over all we had alot of fun.

Yelp
This was the first time we tried Sabrina's Collingswood. It's also been almost ten years since we've been to the Callowhill St. place. The food was still as interesting and delicious as we remembered. What we had forgotten was the size of the portions. Three of us had different versions of eggs, all with the great potatoes. I went for Mel's Chicken Sandwich. It was fried chicken, spinach, roasted peppers with provolone. Real tasty, but so large that I took half of it home. It's a unique, family place where the menu covers all the bases.

Yelp
Sabrina's is the best! great, fresh food- accommodates varied diet needs. Friendly service! This place is a must!

Yelp
Sabrina's absolutely crushed brunch. The Shrimp & Grits were the standout, creamy, buttery, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with tender shrimp. Pure comfort. The Huevos Rancheros were just as impressive: crispy tortilla, perfectly cooked eggs, and a ranchero sauce that brings all the flavor without overwhelming the dish. Huge portions, friendly service, and every plate that comes out looks like something you want to steal a bite from. If you're in Collingswood, this spot is a mu

Yelp
The good- The food and service were great. We had eggs Benedict Florentino and bagel with lox. Bagel was topped with lots of delicious yummies. The home fries were yummy and crispy. The bad- we sat in the back room. Uninspired decor, all neutral with very high ceilings. The worst- loud intrusive music. So irritating we probably wouldn't come again.

Yelp
Wow. Really good. Nestled into the former Woolworth's on Haddon Ave. Sabrina's offers up amazing, elevated comfort food. The Korean Chicken sandwich was crispy/spicy/ juicy in all the best ways. Asian slaw was perfect accompaniment, and the fries were golden crispy with just the right amount of salt. It's a little on the loud side when crowded for lunch. And I think they were a little understaffed. Both dining rooms were packed, and our server took a while to bring our check, so we were sitting around scanning the room to get her attention. I'll be back to try the full menu.

Yelp
Always a good option for breakfast/brunch. They just expanded so it's nice they have plenty of seating. I got the Mexi scramble and the cauliflower soup. Both delicious!

Yelp
Dined here for brunch. They have other locations. I think most of them are in Philadelphia. We sat for a while waiting for a spot. They have tables that they sit multiple parties at. I wasn't a fan of that however they did leave a space in between us and the other party but still I don't like their set up. Atmosphere: loud. If you don't wanna wait for a seat inside, they do have outdoor seating. Parking: street and hard to find. We saw a parking lot or something down the street. The service was good. Our server gave me a suggestion on a salad and it had I believe some crunchy noodles, avocado the dressing was good. They put a salmon on the top, but the salmon was hot but I first thought I wouldn't like that, but it was good. She helped me pack it up properly so my salad wouldn't get soggy. I would definitely get that again. My girlfriend got the shrimp and grits and I think it had some bacon on it. Also turkey bacon that was very tasty grits. I may try that the next time I rarely go to a place to eat public grits and a smooth and creamy and delicious. I had a pumpkin latte hot it was OK. I wasn't tasting any pumpkin, and I was a little disappointed because I love pumpkin. Overall, my visit was good and I would definitely go back

Yelp
My sister took me to brunch here Saturday 11.1.25. I have heard great things but have never been here. The restaurant interior is huge but feels cozy at the same time. I love the large storefront windows that overlook the quaint street. They have al fresco seating in the back. Service was great. She had the mushroom toast with poached egg. I had Veggie Huevos Rancheros with an over easy egg. Plating was pretty. My sister loved her choice. It was the second time she ordered that. My breakfast was delicious. However, what I like most about Huevos Rancheros is the egg tortilla combination and how that works texturally. Sabrina's does theirs stacked in a bowl heavy with potatoes and just a few chips hidden within. While delicious, not what you are expecting at all. It isn't enough to remove a star but I will not order that again as tasty as it was. Texture wise it ends up being mushy. Drip coffee here needs improvement. My sister warned me about that. Such a cute brunch space with great food and good service....their drip coffee should be on point. With all that being said, would love to return someday.

Yelp
Great place to have breakfast before stopping at the framers market. Large open airy restaurant with friendly service. I requested a spinach, cheese and onion omelette and it was delicious. Most places I need to add salt and pepper or hot sauce for added flavor but not here. The bacon was thick and I usually order it well done which I forgot to came out cooked perfectly. My breakfast companion said hers was also so flavorful she didn't need to add her usual hot sauce as well.

Yelp
I would have bet a month's worth of lunch money that I reviewed Sabrina's in the past and today came on to "update" my review only to find - no such review exists.... Let me tell you about Sabrina's in Collingswood. Located in the heart of Collingswood NJ taking up a part of the once classic Woolworths building. The signage still remains, as well as the classic W mosaic tile as you enter. Sabrina's has big bright widows that illuminate the large white dining room. They are painted seasonally to reflect the mood of each passing season with delightful detail. Staff here is consistent - always friendly but not so much attentive. Full menu served during operating hours and rotating specials. You will always find something culinarily unique at Sabrina's. You will pay for it too, pricing here is on the high end for a breakfast/lunch/brunch spot. Especially for a place living in the belly of a former big budget store. Today's selection Mels chicken sandwich and for him one pancake, basic eggs over medium with meat and unbuttered toast; can you see how this is going to go? The eggs were served over hard with broken yolks. Our waitress was too busy chatting up the kitchen staff (visibly) that we could not get her attention. Another server came and helped us; then the drama unfolded. Original waitress came back and swiped the eggs off of the table and curtly told us they were making more. Needless to say we did not want to tell her that the scrapple was pasty and the sausage overdone as well. On the other hand. My sandwich with accompanying side salad could not have been better. This seems to be a constant here at Sabrina's. The basic egg dishes are often poorly executed while the more elaborate brunchy or fancier dishes take the stage. All said and done two meals cost us over 60 bucks with tip Not necessarily worth it to drive out of the way when only one of us had a decent meal. So if you're looking for fancy and overpriced - take a walk into the old Woolys; you won't find a lunch counter or 5 & dime items but you will find high ceilings, large lovely windows and an open airy dining area, mediocre service and hit or miss food.

Yelp
Delicious food, great selection of food and drinks and friendly service. I had a new dish for 2026. It was chicken and biscuits and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the ranchos huervos and he loved it. My Carmel cappuccino was so good, too.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was very delicious. Service was great. I love the environment. I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Our server was attentive as well. Will definitely be coming back for a return visit.

Yelp
Breakfast is still pretty solid all things considered... But for the love of all that is holy bring back the hand cut French fries. What have you been serving? Your mother is ashamed of these globby battered fries you be slappin' up now, c'mon!

Yelp
Breakfast/Brunch is the best meal, so we decided to come here early on a Sunday morning. I love that they have so many vegetarian options. And the price is good for the amount of food that you get. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine which was delicious. Their hollandaise sauce and poached eggs are delicious. The star of the show is the potatoes with the sautéed onions on top. The onions add such a great depth to it. My husband's California dream omelette was also a great choice. The fresh crema with avocado added the perfect balance of favors to the omelette. Our server Ainsley was so attentive and kind. It didn't feel like a rushed breakfast like you have at many places. You can truly enjoy a nice brunch here with friends and family. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Went for a quick work lunch and will definitely be back again. The space is open and light and incredibly welcoming. Staff were attentive and quick. Lots of menu items to choose from and love their "specials" menu which was summer camp themed. I was feeling something sweet and went for the cannoli French toast and wow!!! Will definitely be going again to try more menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a delicious breakfast spot! GET THERE BEFORE YOURE HUNGRY. THERE IS ALWAYS A WAIT OF AT LEAST 30 min- 1Hr. We got the lemon ricotta pancake and buffalo chicken sandwich to have a nice mixture of foods. The lemon ricotta pancake has the perfect amount of sweetness with the berry compote. No syrup needed! And the whip cream is the perfect amount. I loved loved loved the buffalo chicken sandwich, they complimented each other perfectly.

Yelp
It was my second time visiting this establishment, and it was another fantastic experience with delicious food, great ambiance, and wonderful staff. It was my first time having jalapeño strawberry lemonade, and that'll be my go to drink....SO AWESOME! Anyway, I'll be going back for a 3rd visit next week. Oh, and my waitress, Ainsley, was great and received a nice tip for such a wonderful job.

Yelp
Love coming to Sabrina's to experience their seasonal menus. Brought a friend with me this time and she was delighted. They opened up more space in this location which was not as well decorated as the main dining room, we were seated there which was disappointing but also I understand they're probably still working in that space. We went in January and I was delighted to find out they were still serving their winter menu (lots of places stop in December so this was nice). I ordered the stuffed french toast latte and a florentine benedict which was good as always! Pleased to have visited Sabrina's again!

Gayle D.

Yelp
Great food. We ordered it to go and the pick up process was smooth. Staff are very friendly

Tayler N.

Yelp
The food is pretty good but if you sit in the back room it's SO echoey and noisy. For me, it changes my whole experience. You can hear every fork clink and footstep across the whole room. We've experienced this twice now, and it's just not a relaxing, fun brunch when you aren't seated in the main dining area. I wish they would add even a little sound absorbing material! Hopefully they will invest in the back dining room and we will be back to have a better experience.
google avatar

Maddie L.

Yelp
I have been here multiple times and have yet to leave unhappy with anything or uninterested in the menu. The menu is constantly changing seasonally/holiday additions are made consistently. It is rustic, and beautiful inside and my absolute favorite thing about it is the fact that all of the tables are appropriately spread out. A. lot of breakfast/brunch/lunch places cram as many tables and booths as possible in the dining area and here, there are plenty of different types of seating and again, you aren't forced to listen to the conversation of the people eating 1 foot away from you. Breakfast potatoes are thick and well seasoned & the drinks menu entices me every time.

Yelp
Great food and it is a BYOB THEY were so nice opening it up for us Definitely going back

Hayden B.

Yelp
Great food and great service The wait was definitely worth it. This is my third visit and each visit was excellent. The choices and taste are great. Cudos to the Chefs and the staff.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Quaint and charming spot in an old Woolworths building. I loved the ambiance and high ceilings! We had breakfast here. Our server was very accommodating as I had a few requested changes for one of their specialty lattes. I was very happy with it! I had the vegetarian huevos rancheros which was delicious - I'd have it again if I came back!
google avatar

Jess R.

Yelp
This is one of my and my husband's favorite go-to breakfast spots. The space is nice and big. It can get a little loud when it's crowded (maybe some sound reduction panels?), but otherwise it's nice. The food is always really good! I love the breakfast tacos. The service is always friendly and efficient. We love this place!
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
This is a wonderful brunch spot. A taste of Philly in NJ I would like to say. The only gripe I have is that during peak brunch times you are going to wait a long time to sit down. Food was great, service is great too.
google avatar

Nina F.

Yelp
A cute, Instagram worthy brunch spot, the cafe had a large menu with plenty of variety. The portions were good for the prices and each item was flavorful and quick to come out. The service was a bit lacking despite the restaurant being half empty. It took a couple minutes to be seated and our server wasn't attentive so it took some time to get the check. Overall, a good place to check out if you are around - would like to go back and try the sweet options instead of savory!

Sharon C.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Sabrina's on Sunday and this was the first time I visited the Collingswood location. I was with a group and we each ordered something different. Every dish was phenomenal. Chicken & waffles had an herb butter that really set off the waffles. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. The harvest hash was delectable with the roast seasoned to perfection Shrimp and grits excellent. I left a happy camper with the intent to return again.

Lorien W.

Yelp
Such a cute place. Food was really good, but the pancakes were a bit dry. Even with all the toppings, we had to drown them in syrup because they were so dense. Service was solid. I'd give it an 8/10.
google avatar

Steve J.

Yelp
Wow. Great place for brunch items. Huge space, indoor and outdoor seating. A bit loud with the echo the ceilings are so high.... Huge portions and decent prices. The burger was delicious as were the fries. The breakfast burrito was loaded with flavor and so big. Fantastic service as well. Definitely a must try if you're in the area
google avatar

Amaia C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious brunch spot in charming Collingswood, NJ. Not surprisingly, it does get busy on weekends but our party of 3 got seated within 30 mins around noon on Sunday. The menu has so many options for both breakfast and lunch. They also have seasonal specials (e.g., pumpkin pancakes for fall). I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Nora B.

Yelp
Even tho they don't typically seat parties before everyone is present they saw that my friend had a cane and sat us immediately. We were meeting another friend we hadn't seen in years and he was dreadfully late. The food was plentiful and delicious for all 5 of us! Server, Bree, was patient, attentive and helpful. We of course ended up talking, not wanting to say goodbye. Eventually we realized we were the only ones left and that they had closed an hour before. No one said anything to us just cleaned around us. Very gracious and we so appreciate your patience.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Great service, nor a long wait nor reservation needed- the food at the café is so good. I have shrimp and grits:)
google avatar

Taylor G.

Yelp
I'd say this is one of the best brunch spots in Collingswood. A wonderful place to enjoy a Sunday morning with friends. There's plenty of room, although it can be quite loud in there. The food was very good, and the service was fast if you're looking forsomewhere where you can dress casual, but get great food, definitely try this place out!
google avatar

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Very crowded with a long wait, and the service was expectedly slow. The outdoor area is not ideal, next to the river line and can get loud. The food was good. Non-alcoholic drinks were just ok and it's BYO. I'd try it again, but would aim to sit inside.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Excellent service; the wait times are reasonable and they have a text app and waitlist queue you can see where you are and how much time you have. The brunch options were equally superb. The California Dreaming Omelette was rich from the pico de gao spicyness to the coolness of the Avacado and creamy foam sauce. My side of bacon was a double thick portion charged just right, but not burnt so they had the right amount of smokiness chew. Vegetable patch omelette, equally delightful. The fresh vegetables were complemented with the tartness of goat cheese and thick slices of whole grain bread. The atmosphere is vibrant but not overwhelming; you can have a conversation without straining to hear. Definitely worth a visit along the charming shops along Collingswood's Main Street.

Hanna W.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe with great service and excellent food. I went by myself and was seated after almost no wait - coffee was strong and the Mushroom Toast exceeded expectations. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Korrey H.

Yelp
The wait was about 15 minutes and it tells you your place in line once they send a text. I would say dress nice casual or nice. The music was nice. Lots going on in this place but they are organized. I got a blueberry lavender lemonade and it was delicious. Also got breakfast tacos (yum!!!!) and ordered stuffed French toast! I would give it a try!
google avatar

Amelia C.

Yelp
Came here the Friday before New Year's weekend at around 12PM, it was busy. We waited about 25 mins to be seated. I got an egg sandwich, with turkey sausage and pepper jack cheese. The sandwich came with home fries. The white bread was nice and thick--it held the egg sandwich together well. I enjoyed my meal. Sabrina's never disappoints.
google avatar

Paula E.

Yelp
Went to Sabrina's Cafe today for brunch. Service was wonderful. We were originally seated in their back room. The noise was so bad that we asked to be moved. We would have preferred to be seated outside but there was no room. They moved us to the front room which was also noisy but not quite as bed. The waitress was wonderful asking the right questions to ensure our orders were perfect. We all enjoyed our meals and were not rushed in any way. Again, our only complaint, and why 4 rather than 5 stars, was the noise level. It made holding a conversation extremely difficult.
google avatar

Jennie K.

Yelp
The service sadly was a bit terrible. We ordered food to go so that it would be prepared and ready once we arrived since we were in a bit of a rush we did, however, want to sit down and eat once we arrived. The girl in the front seating people looked very stressed out, confused and was a bit rude. The place itself is really cute, it was very packed with people on a weekday late morning. The lattes were terrible had them redo it but it wasn't any different. It tasted like bad coffee with milk. The food was really good. Street parking is hard to find but there is a paid parking lot in the back and an outdoor area for warmer days .
google avatar

Nikki L.

Yelp
Always a goto brunch spot for me, but this was my first time in this location. It is a much bigger place but still a bit of a wait ( 20-30min small party) we were seated indoors in the back room. The area is big with high ceilings so the noise level will be loud and echoing. Other than that all the food is on point as usual.
google avatar

Devon D.

Yelp
The breakfast tacos here are fantastic (and gluten free!) Would love to see some more GF options here, but for now will continue to make this my staple order. It's filling and tasty.

Goldie M.

Yelp
Exceeded my expectations! The lemon ricotta pancakes were the best I have ever had! Super fluffy and very flavorful! I highly recommend.

Jeffrey D.

Yelp
Worst service ever. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for table. Went to ask on status and was told people leaving and then they needed to bus table 5 minutes top. 20 minutes later seated at table that wasn't bussed. Water puddles dripped onto laps of two of us. We used our napkins and wiped down table. Waited for server and no server came for 15 minutes. Food came fairly quickly after ordering. Food was ok. Mine was cold. Only positives were gluten free knowledge and availability of gf items including gf toast. I would not recommend unless you go right at 8 am opening or 2 pm if going on a weekend. The dining room was cold and extremely noisy.
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
Always crowded and once you've had your meal you'll understand why. Downright phenomenal food!
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
Not a traditional American Diner, I can be stuck in my ways by playing it safe with the foods I'm familiar with. My Wife wanted to try here so we gave it a go. I went big outta my comfort zone and ordered the Shrimp and Grits, my Wife got Lemon, Blueberry, Ricotta Pancakes and my Son Plain French Toast. I was happy with my Shrimp and Grits, it was more like a lunch selection to me but it was very tasty and filling! The Pancakes my Wife ordered were huge! For as big as they were they were not overcooked or dry. She needed very little syrup because they were so flavorful without syrup. My 12 year old Son didn't like the French Toast but that is because he's a kid and not ready for the gourmet style French Toast. I tried it and it was very good. Son got a side of Bacon that was thick and awesome! I had a side of Canadian Bacon, so good, I easily could of had 2 orders! Only negative for me is the place has a high ceiling and when packed it can be quite loud. That slight issue would not stop me from going back. Don't go here expecting to be seated immediately. For good reasons there is usually a wait but it's worth the wait.
google avatar

Shanel S.

Yelp
Busy busy place with outdoor seating so you can wait comfortably. The staff was amazing. Yes 60-75 minute wait (even for 2ppl) but the food... the foood!!! they are a chain and this one is the biggest Sabrina's I've visited. I had the chicken salad and it was fresh and delicious. Not too mayonnaisey. The fries were crisp and delicious, good pickle too! I obviously ate everything. My fam got a mix of pancakes, bacon, omelette, shrimp and grits (sun turkey bacon) and veggie sausage. There was nothing left. The staff was so accommodating with our large party and the changes. The space is HUGE! Including an outdoor patio (for eating) and two large rooms for all of your peoples. I would absolutely come back again if I'm over there. Missing pic of omelette. It was gobbled down quickly. Def would return.
