We came here with our daughter and another couple on a Saturday night. We had the most kid friendly server we've ever had. The 3 kids had a blast and the pizza was delicious. The guy making the dough was putting on a great show too. I'd give this place 10 stars for the night we had.

Recently I went here for the first time and loved this place! The candle pin bowling is really fun - quite different from regular bowling, but still challenging. The flatbread pizzas are superb - bursting with flavor and masterfully prepared in a brick oven. Beautiful floral and hippie like decor which fits the fun and cool atmosphere. Great for kids and adults looking to have a good time.

My wife and I chose this as our venue for our wedding reception and we both have absolutely zero regrets! Everyone involved from the event manager, to the bartenders, to the event staff were extremely communicative, accommodating, and overall lovely to work with. We chose an assortment of small bites for the cocktail hour and had salad and a variety of flatbread pizzas for our mains. We brought in cakes from a local bakery as the main dessert but Sacco's also provided apple cider donuts for that nice fall in New England touch. Prior to the night my wife and I decided on the open bar tab and they were very communicative on when we approached that limit and what steps we wanted to take afterwards. The space was very comfortable for our ~85 guests and once the tables were cleared for dancing, even more so (people were distributed between dance floor, bowling lanes, and the bar that goes deep into the venue). I highly encourage everyone to consider Sacco's for big events. Again their staff is amazing and the food and the vibes are unparalleled. It was truly one of the best nights of our lives and we will be back for many many more nights of bowling and pizza! However if you're just looking for a night of fun and bowling, I'd definitely recommend booking a reservation at least two weeks in advance especially if you want to come on Fridays or a weekend. The cocktails are amazing, reasonably priced, and the bartenders have great banter. There's always a seasonal cocktail selection that is amazing (there's a lot of cider and maple related drinks at this time). I was raised in NYC (team Brooklyn water pizza) and can safely say that this place has very good flatbread pizza. Perhaps considered a secret menu item since it's no longer on the menu, I think the best pizza is called the Community pizza (red sauce, cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms) thank me later. This place is an amazing little gem in Davis Square (easily accessible from the Red Line, less than 5min walk away from the Davis T stop) and I believe every Tuesday they do a community bake for a local nonprofit (some proceeds from that nights pizza sales go to the nonprofit). Go there and have great pizza, imbibe, brush off those gutterballs, take in the vibes and have an amazing time.

A little small for big groups who want to bowl, food is really yummy and well made, not too expensive, about $30 a person food included, low tech (paper score keeping) and very family friendly (side rails if needed, bowling helper for little ones). Not too overstimulating at all.

I have had such a blast with Sacco's old-school candlepin bowling! It is an authentic New England experience that everyone whether visiting or living here should try. The pizza is great as well, and there is a nice parking lot.

Olivia the manager, Olivia the bartender, and Alexander at the front desk made us feel right at home. They shared the history of the lanes dating back to the 1930s, and told us about the recent upgrade to New Brunswick synthetic lanes — classic meets modern in the best way. After bowling, we grabbed drinks and their wood-fired pepperoni flatbread — hands down one of the best flatbreads we’ve ever had. The bar was not only well-stocked, but also beautifully built using the original old wood lanes, which added such a cool, nostalgic touch. Friendly faces, great vibes, and authentic New England candlepin. We’ll definitely be back!

Sacco's was extremely flexible during our booking process. They were a great value pick for a corporate retreat, especially on a weekday. The pizza and salad's were very well made. I would recommend to anyone looking for a venue for any sort of party or retreat.

Fun place. Awesome pizza ( American Flatbread ) in house. Awesome staff. I really love this place. Never had a bad experience. You can book this place for events like birthday parties or weddings.

This place is awesome. I came here for a work gathering of about 30 people. They had a great setup, giving us 4 lanes and a long row of tables. There was a full bar area around the corner. The pizza was fresh and delicious, thin and crispy style. We ordered a bunch of different flavors, one with baked potato, one with Mexican Street corn, one was a Cuban style (ham, Pickles, pulled pork, mustard), and more, they were all amazing! Ben was our server and made the whole event flow smoothly. He was readily available and provided excellent service. I loved that they had mocktail options on the menu. The bowling was so much fun, they even provide score cards that explain how to do it. I would definitely return

Came here with about 12 people on Friday night. We made a reservation for 6:00. We had two lanes and we waited for about 10 min before they had to kick off the people in front of us. We got 10 extra mins at the end so that was fine. Unique looking place. Like a wood fired pizza joint connected to a small bowling alley. Reservations would be recommended for bowling btw. Our server was great! Attentive to us at the lane. We got lots of drinks and pizzas. They had a delicious kombucha and a cool mushroom cola for NA options. They also had great vegan pizza and a very tasty salad! Would come back

Fun place for some old school candlepin bowling. It doesn't have many lanes so try to make a reservation. Fortunately we were lucky and only had to wait an hour for a lane - just enough time to have some pizza which was very very good even if I wasn't comparing it to other bowling alley pizza.

This old school bowling alley is a wonderful place to host both work or personal events. Our office tries to book an outing here at least once a year. The pizza is incredible, plenty of options for drinks with a full bar, and still an affordable place to host a group event of any size. Definitely recommend stopping by Sacco's for an afternoon of bowling with friends or for your next event.

Had a truly fabulous time here with a big group of 12 that made a res last night. Been wanting to come for years but it is always booked up and now I see why! Staff were so kind and awesome, the pizza was superb and good drinks, and most of all really fun candlepin! Will be back

Went in not knowing what to expect and found that I not only really enjoyed my time there but also the atmosphere and the food. I did not bowl but my friends did. It wasn't a long wait to bowl on a Friday night. The bowling method was very manual - paper score card and a manual reset button. There were about 7 to 9 of us. When some were bowling we were very cozy with some staying behind the bowlers and just chatting The staff was very friendly and pretty efficient at bring our order at soon after we placed it. We order all different types of pizzas. The pizza was not only a good size but tasty. I am not vegan but I tried the vegan pizza and it was pretty good! Also would recommend the cauliflower and chicken Buffalo pizza. That seems to be a crowd favorite

Came here recently to host a birthday party. I did not expect three birthday parties on the same day so I understood why the staff were overwhelmed. I made the rsvp way in advance (three months). A few days before the party, I called to ensure that my reservations were ok for bowling lanes and dining tables. Staff said everything will be ready when I come. On the day of the party, the staff was not able to see my rsvp (dining). The bowling lanes were available but no tables. Luckily a group left early. I had to help staff re arranged the tables so the kids were able to enjoy lunch after bowling. So happy that the pizza options are plentiful and continue to be amazing! If you have kids who are allergic to dairy, they have dairy free cheese! My go to pizza every time I am in Davis Square. One star removed due to the mix up

This is my favorite place in Boston. Great environment has the vibe of a 1970s roller disco with delicious pizza, paper with crayons for drawing, a bar that is pretty hit or miss -- the spiked hot cider is delicious, and the bowling is can't miss. The just redid the floors so your tosses are more true - for better or worse - it doesn't really make a difference. The place is a treasure.

Pretty neat place! It's a convenient bike ride from Cambridge. At Sacco's, you can eat delicious pizzas while playing mini bowling. The shoe rentals are free, and they did a good job at sanitizing the shoes. Will definitely come back here for sure!

I came to Sacco's on a Saturday night with a group. It was a cool spot to play some casual bowling. I've only played traditional bowling before so this was interesting. I found it a bit annoying to have to keep score by hand, especially because it was sometimes tough to determine how many pins I hit. This seems like more of a spot for new bowlers and local Tufts students, not serious bowlers. The vibe of the place was great, with the attached pizza restaurant and bar. Great for a fun, casual night out!

After reading all of the reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but thankfully the worst never happened. We had our end of summer company party here. We were about 15 people. The staff was friendly enough and accommodating. The only issue we had was it seemed our server was a bit overwhelmed and it was hard to get ahold of her. A few of us also waited quite awhile for drinks, but we were a large party and not the only ones there. It was pretty dead when we got there at 3:30, but by the time I left at 6, things were in full swing. I was happy to see lots of little ones, they're very kid friendly. The little balls make it easy for little ones to participate and there's a changing table in the women's bathroom. Also happy to say that despite reports of a lack of diversity, there were lots of people of different backgrounds and races, plenty of students. Candle pin bowling is a lot of fun! I wish they included rules on the score sheet or posted them up somewhere as they rules are different from conventional bowling. Pizza was DELICIOUS. Crispy, cheesy goodness. Ingredients tasted like quality stuff. Well seasoned and just enough garlicky herby flavor. Dough was spot on. I said pizza, because it's pizza not flatbread. Overall great experience and will bring my hubby and daughter there.

Bowling was good and food was good. Service was very frustrating and often time non-existent. We had two lanes. We couldn't get one lane to work. It took 15 minutes to find someone to help. She spent another 5 minutes to look for someone to help her and came back to tell us that she mistakenly assigned us a lane that did not work. The place was NOT busy when we were there but many employees just minded their business, busy texting on their phone rather than helping customers. Our server was often no where to be found. I had to look for her everywhere and twice found her texting in a corner. Like I said, food was good and bowling was fun but I have to convince myself to go back because of the service or the lack of.

I love it here! The flatbread is so delicious and you can be served at your lane. Your drinks, shoes, lane rental and pizza are all paid for at the end. Parking was difficult when we went because there was a show at the Roadrunner music venue so keep that in mind. There is also no electronic or automatic keeping of scores so you have to do some good old fashioned addition on a dry erase scorecard. Overall a cute spot.

This place is fun and has great pizza. Definitely a great date night or tome spent w family and friends. Must make reservations go bowl during pandemic besides that overall a great time!

Went here for a company social event and had a fantastic time! It has a diner inside so it's acceptable to dine without bowling or bowl without dining. Great for family events or large group socials. We were looking for something to do on a cool Monday afternoon on our last day of touring Boston. Nothing like candlepin bowling for a quintessential New England sport to top off a long weekend visit. Just ten lanes but we were able to grab a lane - popular with families now that school is out. This is a great place - real old school - no auto scoring (thankfully our scores were so low we didn't have to really figure out the details of scoring). Good selection of beers available and a friendly staff. During weekdays the pricing is $5/game per person plus shoes. A good deal when you just have a couple of people. Pricing is by the hour nights and weekends.

This is probably one of the best pizza places in Boston! I highly recommend coming to this pizza place for a good dinner while you're waiting in line for candlepin bowling! I've seen this restaurant's website and I realized that I've been to the Paia, Maui location as well as the Whistler location back out west. So I've been wanting to try this Somerville location since I've been out here in Boston. This restaurant is located less than 5 minutes from the Davis Square T station from the red line. While you are on your way to the restaurant, make sure you put your name down on the waiting list via the yelp app, especially if you're coming on a weekend evening like we did (Friday night). The restaurant was pretty busy around 7:30 PM. Luckily we didn't wait long since we added ourselves to the waitlist. We ordered two vegetarian pizzas - full cheese & herb and half punctuated equilibrium and a half Jay's Heart. What's awesome about this place is that they allow you to do half and half pizzas so if you're wanting to try two different pizzas, you can do half and half at no extra charge! The only downfall about this place is that the pizzas take a long time to cook. We were probably waiting 30-40 minutes for our pizzas to come out BUT it was worth it! Each pizza was cut perfectly where it's easy to share amongst a group. Overall, I highly recommend this place whether if you're here to eat and bowl or just to eat a great pizza on a Friday night!

The pizza is soooo good, and the bowing is sooo fun. That plus alcohol makes every time at Sacco's a good time

Overpriced for what it is (this goes for both pizza and bowling) but the entertainment outweighed the cost! Shoes are clean, lanes are well kept and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. I like duck pin bowling better than its larger cousin so that was another plus. The pizza itself is ok on the drier side (especially the chicken) but the ingredients are good quality--so not the worst. Overall, a great change of pace and centrally located in Sommerville. Check it out!

Reserved two lanes for a birthday and have a great time with not only the bowling but also the food and drinks. The pizza is delicious and they have a wide variety of beers. Would highly recommend for all ages!

My boyfriend and I came here on a weekday night to try out candlepin bowling. I grew up playing bowling quite a bit, but never did candlepin bowling until I came here. We had a really great experience between both the bowling and the food! We ordered a beer, a cocktail, a pepperoni mushroom pizza, and a dessert (a pie with peppermint filling and ice cream). The pizza was really delicious! My boyfriend really liked the flavors and I liked the texture of the pizza. Dessert was a bit too sweet for both of us but we should have expected that from what was in the dessert. The two of us got our own lane and played for 2 hours at $30 / hour (plus some for renting shoes). Unlike most other bowling places I've been to, you can keep score yourself and you manually reset the pins by pushing a button. This was great because we initially just wanted to practice instead of strictly taking turns and keeping score. We did get a score sheet and start scoring near the end of our session. The only downside is that the fallen pins don't get cleared, so your subsequent turns can be affected unexpectedly by the already fallen pins -- sometimes more pins fall than they should and other times pins that would have fallen don't because there's a fallen pin in the way. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be part of candlepin bowling (but in regular bowling the fallen pins should be cleared). If you want you can also get bumpers but we opted not to have bumpers up. Parking wasn't difficult on the weekday nights we came (Tuesday and Wednesday) and it was free at the time we came (around 9pm). But it would probably be much more difficult on more popular days and times such as Friday and the weekend. Service is really good and the staff is super friendly. They come by from time to time to check in on whether you want more food or drinks and to clean up your lane table. My boyfriend and I decided to come a second night in a row because of how much we enjoyed the experience, and we'll probably be back more times next year with more friends!

Maybe the best experience I've had in Boston. This place amazing. We popped by at first on MLK Day and had some flat bread - 1/2 Herb & Cheese + 1/2 Carne, the latter being a Reuben in flavor. Delicious. Cut like a football so you get lots of slices (quasi-rectangle) it has just enough structure in the crust to keep you clean. Or, roll the slice for added bite-action. We even started with an impossibly good salad for winter in the NorthEast - which still leaves me scratching my head as to where these fresh veggies are coming from. Taps weren't working, but canned selections still didn't disappoint. It was too busy to bowl at that pint being happy hour on a holiday, so we took an oath to return. 2 days later, it's not 4 degrees anymore, and the lanes are clear. We bowl, but not with the ruckus thunder-alley crash (which I do love) of normal tenpin rolling, but rather a gentler game. Many less lanes, horizontally symmetric pins, lanes that don't clear "wood" between rolls, and throw-back machine that doesn't reset itself make it a special atmosphere. And the game play is FUN!!! It's very tough to knock down pins but you get 3 rolls, and the ball doesn't wear out your body, it's an awesome new challenge to the newb. A bunch of Harvard kids and their 'coach' happened in for some practice while we were there. A fun bunch of brains. A nice older couple to our other side made pleasant chit-chat as we realized that nobody in the world is any good at this game - so therefore everybody is kinda okay at it. Beer selection: taps were back and everything was groovy. So many excellent NEIPAs! The girls taking care of the shoe rental, beer bringing, and food order were all nice and polite. And the pizza again! Such wood-fired bliss. This time we had veggie with potatoes on one side, and a marvelous homemade sausage featuring maple and fennel (and mushrooms) on the other side. Eyes rolling back in my head with each bite as the sounds of their light, quiet blues on the speaker and gentle crashing of candlepins almost puts me to sleep. It is a heavenly feeling for sure - maybe what I will miss most about Boston, and my biggest reason to return ASAP.

This was my first time candlepin bowling and Sacco's did not disappoint. The place is fairly small so if you come during prime time expect to wait for a lane, but we got there a little early and were able to play right away. They have food/drink service at the lanes so you can snack and bowl which was much appreciated. There's also a side bar and restaurant if you want to hang out and wait for a lane. The scoring was a little confusing, but they provided rules and examples so it's pretty easy to get the hang of. They charge by the hour so you can play as much or as little as you want - the flexibility was great. The only part of the experience I wasn't prepared for was how close together the lanes are. When actually bowling you don't notice, but while waiting your turn on the bench if you're next to a big party (we were) it can get a little cramped...especially once food and drink come into the mix. If you come expecting to make some new acquaintances then you'll be fine! But overall I honestly have no complaints and I would gladly come back again!

Good spot with a lot of options to choose on their beer and flatbread menus. The candlepin bowling is a very popular spot in Davis square and is usually packed with people Thursday and Friday after work. The weekends are also very busy. Unfortunately they don't take reservations for the bowling lanes and it is first come first serve. Also there isn't a time limit so you may have to wait awhile. Bowling is a little pricey at $30 an hour per lane.

I wasn't expecting much for a "bowling alley" pizza. But hands down, probably the best pizza I've had in a long time. Just the basic cheese pie, OMG it was good. And you get to throw little balls at miniature bowling pins to boot!

We had a great fun here. Nice place for all kinda of parties: dates, family gathering, friends party, etc. The price is 30/hour which can be counted every 15 minutes. Also they just take reservations for at least eight people of two lanes.

Super fun spot to bowl with a group. The pizza is Flatbread so it is very good. Only downside is you have to figure out how to keep score when bowling and remember basic math, but I guess it's good to use our brains from time to time!

I went with a big group to Sacco's to do some candlepin bowling and it was so fun!! The staff here are awesome, especially the host Stevie and our server Mara. The pizza is fantastic and we has a great time. Can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I had a really enjoyable time here, as did the family in the lane next to ours! The only downside is that it's a little pricey to bowl. We arrived around 4:15, when the bowling area was just starting to get crowded (there's a restaurant attached with more seating). We rented the last open lane for $30. The setup is nice and private, with a bowling lane for your party to use as you'd like and a table attached to sit and talk. A server came by almost immediately. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced for Cambridge, with drafts starting at $6.50 and cans at $5, and my lamplighter IPA was surprisingly good. The real highlight was the bowling! The pins are really, really easy to knock over due to their candle shape. I have terrible hand-eye coordination, but managed to hit a strike in spite of myself. The kids next to us were also killing it. All in all a really fun place for a date or family outing, and would highly recommend!

I love that this place has 1. locally sourced, fresh food; 2. BIG portions. Got a salad, large pepperoni mushroom pizza, and it was huuugeee, and the brownie sundae dessert--have never been more stuffed in my life. I basically became one of the bowling balls. Waitstaff was really helpful in guiding us with what to order and informing us about the menu, and did a great job with following up with us to see how we were doing. They also have flatbreads that can be accommodated to allergies! Didn't get to bowl but will definitely be back in the future!

I've been to Sacco's before and have always had a great time - hence why I chose this location to be the host of my quarterly "team fun" event. I am a Senior Regional Director that oversees 70+ people and felt that Sacco's could be a trusted partner in helping me deliver a stress-free good time for my Boston employees who deserved an evening of fun and team bonding - but boy was I wrong. Almost immediately upon arriving, I was unable to relax like I wanted to as our waitress single-handedly ruined our experience and caused us to leave early. Between rudely interrupting me 4 times (no exaggeration) to ask for my ID before I was even able to finish speaking the name of the beer (and let's get real...while I may look younger than my almost 40 years, I am a boss at a work event, not a teenager trying to cheat her); to giving us warnings to wrap up every 5 minutes starting only halfway through our reservation time (nothing says fun competition than having a stifling, nasty waitress barking the time at you for 30 minutes straight); to being asked to leave our lane early for no reason whatsoever, this woman was just about the worst, most off-putting waitress I have ever encountered in my life and is the reason why I will never return or recommend Sacco's to anybody I know. Prior to becoming a boss in tech, I worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years. I know how it works and I know when a place is NOT busy and doesn't need to rush customers out the door. In fact, I know how to make them feel welcome so that they stay and order more. I also know what people under 21 look like and as a seasoned bartender, I certainly know when people have had too much to drink or are acting out of hand. None of which was true this evening at Sacco's where half the restaurant was empty, no one was waiting for lanes, and half my team ordered lemonades and the other half only 1 beer each. The only reason I didn't give my review one star is because the pizza was really good and the beer selection is top notch. Too bad the rude service completely discounts all of that. I'm sure Saloon was happy though as we relocated our event there, had amazing service, and spent the rest of our budget.

So much fun! VERY busy on the weekends, usually you'll need to reserve a lane several hours in advance. Also pretty loud regardless of whether you're bowling or in the bar section. But this is the cutest little spot for food and entertainment. The decor and menu (lots of local beer options) give this place a very nice indie feel. Cool vibes all around.

Flatbread pizza and candle pin bowling? What a great combination. This tiny gem of a place is the perfect combination of old school New England (candle pin) with new (Flatbread pizza). There are only about 12 lanes and apparently at regular meal times it is almost impossible to get a lane. Not surprised. Flatbread pizza, if you haven't tried it, is well worth a visit on its own. During my visit we bowled a few hours and had one of their pepperoni and mushroom pizzas. The pizza was perfect, the service excellent, and the bowling fun. They have an outstanding beer list full of drafts like Night Shift. Full marks!

I tried bowling twice in recent times, but my hands get so black every time I bowl a frame plus the balls are in horrible condition. They have so many chips in them some of which are decent chunks missing. A lot of times the alley I was in or ones next to us wouldn't have enough balls. I think they have the location going for them plus the nostalgia and old school aspects. But, the balls and the lanes are in bad shape. I think this place may be good for certain people who aren't bothered but that and don't bowl much, but for an avid bowler it's not worth the money.

Such a great experience for an out-of-towner! We stopped by sacco's to have an experience with candlepin bowling and what an experience it was! We went on a Monday afternoon hoping it wouldn't be busy... There were 3 other people there that were not employees. The employees were very helpful and enthusiastic about the pastime. They taught us how to score and the rules of the game. You can eat and/or drink at your lane. I loathe cubbies under the benches, a great addition so shoes and personal items are out of the way. We loved their drinks and the pizza was fantastic. We had already eaten, but decided to order pizza because of other reviews. It was quite yummy. Now, the bowling was a little pricey.. $5 per game per person plus $3 for shoes. These prices were for before 4 pm. After that, it was $30/hour. Luckily, it was my bday and they were very generous to give us a discount. We would highly recommend visitors or locals to give their business to sacco's. They were friendly, offered a great service, and had great food/drinks. In addition, based on their wall, it looks like they do a lot to support their local community, which is always a plus in my mind!

I've been on the prowl for the best gluten-free pizza in the Boston area, and I think I've found it here. It passes the "my non-celiac friends love this pizza" test- just melt in your mouth delicious. Even without the bowling, I'd come here just for the pizza, but the chance to throw some strikes (or try to anyway, lol) while eating up is an excellent bonus! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anybody, but an extra urge to come here if you can't eat gluten and miss your delicious carbs.

Came here for a team event and had a good time. First time playing bowling in this kind. Love to visit places which has a lot of history towards it. About the food, 2 brick Owens and they fire them up with wood. An amazing view and the Owen does heat up the place which is good during the winter time. Pizzas were really good. Hand made pizza and freshly made right in front you. We had a variety of veg and meat pizzas and the veg pizzas were amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

Had a great time here. First time trying candlepin bowling. Super gracious manager who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great food and friendly service. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town.

Trying to book online reservation thru yelp- but it bring you through a loop. I hear great things--- want to book a group in but no way to reach anyone.

Took a group of staff & students bowling as a school outing. It was originally impossible to contact to book as a school group, so I made an 18 person reservation via Yelp. The food and bowling were great! The servers were incredibly patient when taking many orders. The staff there apologized for being difficult to originally get in contact with, provided information for further school trips, and then didn't charge anyone for bowling shoes! I was truly blown away by the customer service and would definitely come again.

First time trying candle pin bowling and I loved it. I think I find this sort of bowling more easy than normal bowling because you don't have to worry about fingers being too small or too big to fit into the holes of the ball. I came here in a weekend with 5 other people and we all shared a lane. It's $30 an hour. We stayed for two hours which was adequate time to wear us out lol. I highly recommend their pizza too. It was divine !! So fresh and thin. I'm from New York so I know good pizza. Lol. The place wasn't too crowded and the staff are very friendly.

Wow! How did I not know this place existed until now? And how did I not know what the hell candle pin bowling was until now either. If your objective in bowling is to launch the ball down the lane as hard as possible while forgoing any sort of technique at all, then this is perfect for you. From the moment you take hold of the ball decision time presents itself as you must choose whether to roll it or shotput the thing down the lane. I say shot-put, because with a bowling ball that small, why wouldn't you? Best of all you can do all of this while getting drunk. They serve up a wide variety of beers from local breweries (gives you a chance to try something new). The establishment is retro, the brick ovens are awesome, the lights are made to look like pool balls and candle pins (nice touch) and if I didn't know any better I would guess the entire place is run by hipsters from Portland, Oregon (many vegan and gluten free options. Overall though the flatbread pizza is probably some of the best I have had in the Boston area. It would be a great place to bring a first date, because if you forget her name, her name would be written on the score card. And oh yeah, you keep your own score (no electronic machines here to do it for you so brush up on those addition skills or bring a calculator if you are really that pathetic) Will definitely be coming back here.

Sacco's is a great place for a fun afternoon or night out! The bowling alley is pretty small and very popular, so it definitely can be hard to get a lane. Reservations are accepted for larger groups, but you have to make them pretty far in advance to get in. In addition to candlepin bowling, the food and drinks are both excellent. I've really enjoyed all of the pizzas that I've tried here, and on my most recent visit I tried the bourbon punch, which was delicious. Parking is extremely difficult, so taking the T if possible is recommended, but I'd highly recommend Sacco's!
