A restored 1900 landmark with 94 stained‑glass windows, Sacred Heart hosts concerts, silent films, and the beloved spring garden festival. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and regularly highlighted by local arts groups, it’s Augusta’s atmospheric arts hall.

This place is such an elegant space. Great for first dates to photo ops. I attended the Coldplay VS.Imagine Dragons event. It was absolutely beautiful. The glistening of the stained glass the flicker of the candle lights. It felt like there were thousands of beautiful candles. Set the scene for what could definitely go down As one of the most romantically entered hanging events. when purchasing tickets they use fever

Beautiful venue with a lot of great views, I attended this former cathedral to assist a candlelight event which was beyond excellent. The atmosphere of it makes it so unique and it truly feels like you’re in Barcelona or another colonial city, I wish I could’ve been there for longer to appreciate all the detail in this place.

The architect in the former Catholic Church is beautiful. It is amazing it was restored so well and maintained. The folks that work there were so pleasant: The outside of the building is beautiful and the grounds surrounding the building are well maintained.

Very nice event with great vibes. It was cool to find something different to do in Augusta. I went by myself with this would be a great date or friend group activity also. The music selection was top notch, and I loved the engagement from the musicians! I’m so excited for next month event and have even looked at some others and nearby cities!!

Beautiful building. The Garden Tour, while interesting, was way overpriced, especially since you have to drive yourself to all 5 p to places, with one of them being over in Beech Island, SC! I could understand the hefty charge if transportation was provided but not for having to go by yourself!

The venue was beautiful, the staff was extremely nice and there were beverages! The music was absolutely great, I love Coldplay and imagine dragons. And seeing them bring those music styles to life orchestral style was such an experience. 10/10 would recommend!!

Yelp
This was previously a Catholic Church before the congregation moved. It was taken over by a nonprofit to become a cultural center for the city. It is free to get in. You can spend 30 minutes to several hours there. It is a wonderful place to sit and meditate. The building is absolutely beautiful inside and out. They do rent it out for cultural events and weddings.

Yelp
Visited the cultural center and must say this church is beautiful. It's not a church anymore but it really still looks like one from the outside and in. Everything was beautiful; the stations go the cross were gorgeous and the stained glass windows were beautiful. So glad all was preserved. The ladies that work there are so sweet as well and I love that they tell you the history when you come in. Would recommend to any Catholic for sure but would also recommend for others to see the beauty of this place.

Yelp
It is always fun to highlight a new place in the area or a favorite of myself or others in the Yelp community. But sometimes you have to update a review and remind everyone about the consistency of a place. This is such a review. Sacred Heart has a rich history and thankfully is still being used today (for events and office space). What I love is that the committee in charge of upkeep do their job well. It is always pristine and looking as beautiful as my last visit every time I enter the doors. It is open during the week to the public so be sure to stop by and see it for yourself one day soon.

Yelp
A must see! This building was amazing! The gift shop needs to be bigger with more things from local artists. Only open Monday-Friday.

Yelp
This probably one of the best venues in the City of Augusta. Sacred Heart Cultural Center used to serve as a Catholic Church, but now it's a beautiful venue for weddings and upscale events. Events like concerts, galas, art exhibits, training and even weddings. The space is gorgeous. I've attended for several events here. Most recently I attended a Board Boot Camp, which was attended by almost 100 people. There was plenty of space for tables, we had audiovisual setup, there was enough space for a large buffet of food and beverages for us. Additionally, the staff is nice. The lower level of the building is also home to the Sacred Heart Cultural Center office, and other offices for local nonprofits like the Augusta Ballet and Augusta Arts Council. My only grip is restrooms, which is understandable for the age of the building. In the venue space there is only 1 restroom, but in the administrative space there are two. There seems to be plenty of parking. There is a lot located directly across from the venue and some parking on both sides and the rear of the building. Even if you never attend an event, do go look at the space. The architecture is amazing.
