Good beer, good food, good tunes! Downstairs area is a couple larger communal tables, some tighter two-tops (good for making table neighbor friends, probably awful for having a fight with your SO), a few window seats, a small bar where they pour the beers from those gorgeous tanks (no seats) and the open kitchen. There's also a large beer hall kind of space upstairs where you order from QR codes and they bring you drinks, maybe food?? Or that's what I read on Insta anyways. It seems like others mention walking up to the "bar" which wouldn't really occur to me the way it's laid out and because our server grabbed us right away. Not sure if that's encouraged or not... maybe it was just the timing of our visit.
I sadly cannot remember our servers name, but she was a woman in her maybe mid-late 40s (don't kill me if that's wrong!), thin, dark hair, and she was amazing. That next level where before you have time to think of something like, I wish this empty plate wasn't still here, she's already on it. We didn't wait or want for anything and she was a lot of fun.
They don't post a menu online for whatever reason, but you've probably seen most of the things reviewed here or Google. Curried weiner, smash burger, schnitzel, there's a classy spinach artichoke dip, bread and butter, pimento cheese, poutine, beef tartare. Other than the salad and maybe ceviche (maybe I made that up??), this is heavy fare, but delicious. Kudos to somehow being the only restaurant in southern Maine that understands what a smash burger is... you smash the burger.
I bet it's a ton of fun in the summer with the garage doors open. Grab a case of beer on your way out!
