Saddle Up

There are some amazing places to eat in Eureka Springs: The Grotto, Spring on Main, etc. However, if you’re in the mood for something more casual that won’t break the bank, head to Saddle Up. It’s a short walk and located in historic downtown Eureka. Great food, great prices, great vibes, and excellent service. $5 margs too.

I stopped by the Saddle up on the first night of my vacation. The food was so good I tried the Hot chicken Mac and cheese and holy smokes it was AMAZING! I couldn't stop eating it the heat of the chicken was complemented well by the creaminess of the mac and cheese and the boom boom sauce. I can back every evening all 3 days of my trip for dinner. Would highly recommend!

Came up for baby's birthday bash and started off our night right here. Score one for Ol Dad!!! It was a great choice!!! Ambiance was great. Went and sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. And watched the people walking in to Downtown. Alex, our server was great! Friendly attitude. Helpful advice on not only food choice, but strategies to have a great night. Really enjoyed the friendliness and still professional service. Very quick on bringing the food out. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! I came looking for a steak, ended up with their Carne Asada Fries, recommended by Alex. Skirt steak was delicious and met my craving for steak. But the medly of flavors was great and was so filling i couldn't even finish my plate! Tina got the fajita bowl which was delightfully tasty and filling! She also loved her strawberry slush which helped get the night started! Also got a free chocolate lava cake and ice cream for the birthday girl which was delicious! Overall great experience. Reasonably priced and excellent service and food. Can't go wrong here far as I'm concerned!

unbeatable prices for the area! Fantastic portions! Absolutely delicious food. I got the street tacos and they were super good and they came with rice and beans. I would recommend this place if you're in the area!!! Also nice atmosphere

We went in to have lunch. We left with a full stomach and heart. Bryan and Kelly were just amazing. I can't brag on them enough. The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious and good prices.

An amazing spot to enjoy the town. We sat upstairs on the balcony. Loved the view and the fresh air. We had their special, a torta steak. Would totally recommend! It was delicious. Our server was super polite and welcoming. Definitely coming here again.

We came on a very cold rainy day. I ordered a cheese burger with fries. My girlfriend ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The food was phenomenal. Everything was cooked and seasoned so well. Probably my best burger yet!

Came here as we love Horseshoe Grill and wanted to try their downtown location. Let's just say we prefer Horseshoe Grill. First off, the AC was out. So it was HOT inside the restaurant!! My burger was good. Guacamole was bland. $4.99 margarita was weak. The side salad was just ok, and they gave me a packet of Italian for dressing. Service was great!!! But food was only "ok".

I don't know how they have such a high rating ... Entering the restaurant after following the signs upstairs the place is dingy and deserted. Not a person insight .. very awkward, after playing the game of HELLLOOO IS ANYONE THERE.. someone comes into view and we have a seat. I wish we would've left .. after seeing the place I really didn't want to eat there but the kids were hungry to we stayed. We ordered the street tacos , & kids ordered a southwest salad , Mac & cheese , and chicken strips with fries. The beans that came with the tacos were the weirdest beans I've ever had - they were a watery texture. Pro was the price for a family of five was pretty inexpensive. The bill was around $50. Definitely won't return.

We came in with a party of 5 around 1:30pm on a Tuesday and we were seated immediately. Everything was good. The food was hot and tasty, the inside was cold and clean. The service was good up until we were about to leave. We were helped by a Hispanic girl and a blonde white girl. The Hispanic girl was nothing but pleasant and made sure we had the best meal ever. We only interacted with the white girl when she brought our food out. It was neutral at that point. When we paid, I used cash and put an extra $20 in hopes to get it changed out for a tip. When the white girl took the money she brought back the $20. I politely asked her if I could get it split into change and she gave me nasty attitude. When she came back with the change she threw it on the table. If I hadn't had a negative interaction with her, I would have absolutely given this place 5 stars. But I had to dock one considering the unnecessary interaction.

Beware. The servers add extra things to your receipt in hopes that you're too drunk to notice. I'm pregnant, and I definitely did not order alcohol, neither did my husband. I asked for a lemonade, and they charged it as a lemon drop. I'd see that as an honest mistake on its own, but they also charged extra for my sides, the salad and fries, but their menu specifically said those two sides came with my meal, and should not have been charged as add ons. They were trying to get $13 extra dollars out of us! At least when I called them out on it they were nice and fixed the receipt, but we are worried they do this regularly and others don't notice after a drink or two. Look at your receipt and even if it looks like items you ordered, make sure they're not charging you extra. Not to mention once our order was taken we waited half an hour for our food and it arrived lukewarm.

We were there this weekend had the fish plate, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Will be back on next trip. The waitress despite being new was a delight and wonderful.

Wow what a find!! This is a fantastic, cozy bar/restaurant in downtown Eureka Springs. They've got a very diverse menu & when asking four staff members what they like best....i got four different answers! I went with the stuffed poblano pepper with steak & shrimp and I had NO regrets on my choice. The steak & shrimp were cooked to perfection. The chipotle sauce was outstanding (though, a touch spicy....not for those with spice issues). It left a flavor on my palate that made me want to do it again. Right then! *I held out though and didn't over stuff myself. The staff were super friendly. The margarita was indeed top shelf. Well made, great salt and ice that can be enjoyed. Way to go Saddle Up kitchen/bar & front house staff! You'll definitely see me the next time I'm in ES!!

Ate too fast to provide picture, but I can tell you the Horseshoe burger and the volcano tacos are five stars. Couple that with the street corn cheese dip and chips and an IPA draft. You have a great lunch. Star Wars on the big screen. Man, what else do you need for a great lunch. Outdoor seating available too. Do yourself a favor and drop into this fine establishment. Something for everyone. Will be back for Volcano tacos!!!

Place is dark and dirty'. When we walked in, the place was empty, but for two employees sitting at the bar on their phones. Tables were dirty. Only had margaritas, they were terrible! Took a few drinks of them, paid, and left. would not recommend or return.

The food was amazing. Order the shrimp volcano. You won't be sorry. The wait staff was attentive and amazing. I loved the gnomes as we walked in and the entire ambiance was great. Highly recommend this place. The menu is extremely eclectic and everything we had there was amazing. There is literally something for everyone here. The prices were not outrageous either.

Service was great. People watching was even better from the patio. We split the JJ quesadilla and it was amazing. Had to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom and it looked very clean.

Only eaten there a couple times, food has always been good. We enjoy sitting outside have a drink and a cigar. They have a great out door area and a balcony street side make for good people watching. We have always had good service and they make good drinks.

Small but great place. We couldn't find a tv anywhere to watch football but finally found one here! WPS! My cheeseburger was good. however, my fiancé didn't like the chicken dish he ordered since it was a slice of rubbery melted cheese on top. Chill place, nothing spectacular, but not terrible either! Service was good :)

The food was mediocre. Burger was dry. The protein bowl was not flavorful. Not sure why this had such high reviews.

Food was outstanding. I had the stuffed poblano with steak, and my wife had the protein bowl. We were both highly impressed. We both recommend eating here.

food was absolutely delicious. filled up on chips and queso accidentally but that just meant I got to enjoy more of the food later service was very friendly and we got to watch american cornhole league the whole time. awesome

Sat at bar. Very friendly service though some work on execution would be helpful. Ordered Buffalo wings as a starter. Wife had protein bowl, I had steak fajitas. Our entrees arrived well before the wings. She enjoyed her bowl and said it was quite tasty. My fajitas were excellent (be sure to get their homemade hot sauce, terrific). The wings were great (quite spicy but really tasty). The wings came with fries which looked good but came out cold. Minus one star for cold fries and execution snafu and minus one star for the disgusting men's restroom. Nice outdoor seating.

the food was absolute gas i cannot lie. i got the buffalo chicken sandwich with spicy mayo ‍ the service was great and the ambiance was too. it's a bar and restaurant which was fun and we also got to watch professional cornhole on the telly

This place is amazing yo had the street tacos service was quick and nice, overall nice atmosphere, will be coming here to eat next time I visit

We showed up with 14 people and Laura gave us amazing service. Food was so good. Looking forward to coming back next year. Upstairs patio was great.

We loved saddle up. Laura was so dient to earth and a real person!! Hahaa coming from ca, nobody speaks to each other anymore, anyhow, food was excellent and tasty!! Fresh , even the chips homemade. We had the Pulled pork nachos and the Pablano chili with chicken. So good. I would suggest getting the little fly spinner things outside. They also have to remain historically correct when they add things to the building so don't expect fancy, just expect good hospitality and good food.

Food was very good and reasonable prices. The $5 vodka Slushie was a hit! Service was prompt and friendly. Not a lot of ambiance inside but the patio areas look like they'd be great when the weather is nice.

The service was great! I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I was expecting hamburgers and fried food. Very tasty with a Mexican spin. I had the Protein Bowl and my husband had the Poblano Chicken. Both were really good. Sat on the back patio and it was nice. A few bugs to contend with but this is Arkansas!

The Volcano tacos were amazing, it's like a giant nacho. The beans were tasty and the rice was really good. The service was excellent.

This was a nice location to grab an appetizer. The quesadilla was good and our waiter, Anthony, was very attentive. We sat outside, and the area we sat needed to be wiped down, but otherwise, things were good! We would come back!

The food and service were both outstanding! I got the fajita bowl. It was the perfect amount of food and the crema made it so delicious!

The reviews are what led us to come and try it out and it did not disappoint. My husband and I come here frequently for the day and have worked in the restaurant industry, thus have high standards. The service was phenomenal. The food was excellent. Drink was tasty. Prices were reasonable. Check it out.

For having no reviews, Saddle Up was fairly busy and had us impressed! We chose to sit outdoors, which gives you a nice view of the street and has fans to keep you cool, so we loved it! The customer service was good, a little slow but we only ever saw one waiter coming around so it didn't bug us much! They had a $5 margarita sale, but they were out of strawberry and raspberry so we personally opted out, but others said they were really good! I got a spinach cheesy chicken, which was HUGE, very cheesy, and came with spicy chipotle sauce on top. If you like spicy things, the sauce on top was amazing and burns your mouth just enough to leave a lingering tingle, but not torture you either lol. We also got the Catfish and Shrimp Dinner, which comes with fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. We didn't want the hushpuppies or coleslaw, but you can't change out the sides? Once it came out, I could see why though because the coleslaw was NOT a side, it was practically a singular bite. Everything was very flavorful and we left full, so if you are looking for a lunch that doesn't hurt your wallet and is still delicious, I would recommend it! Only con was that you couldn't switch sides out and that you can't really classify the coleslaw as a side? But we had a great time!

Good service but the place is very expensive. Not worth the price imo. Mediocre food, but a nice restaurant
