Just found this place out of the blue and on first impressions it was packed, always a good sign, didn’t have a reservation but shown a seat to the front and that was followed with water straight away and then the menus. Really something for everyone on the menu. My go to test is a risotto for any restaurant or duck if it’s on the menu. I had the risotto and it was cooked to perfection which means I will be back :) compliments to all the chefs. Service was very fast, friendly, water topped up without asking, portions were very generous and delicious and fresh. Thanks for a lovely Sunday dinner.

Arrived at 1pm, told staff we were waiting for 2 more guests, who arrived by 1:15. We waited until 1:50 before someone came to our table, after being asked by me twice for service. No offer of drinks, water, tea, nothing while we were deciding.Table not set properly set, we were asking for water, water glasses, forks. The servers were nice, food was good, but the ambience of sitting surrounded by dirty tables was not pleasant and we had out of town visitors with us.It was not busy in the restaurant while we were there, so over all it felt like customers , especially at the back end of the restaurant were forgotten about except for when it came to paying the bill.

I’m basing my review on a recent visit and on what I had for lunch. Let’s start with the positives. 1. Warm welcome, great atmosphere and friendly attentive service. 2. My food was delicious. I really liked the chicken wings. They had just the right of amount of heat/spice. Plus, there was plenty of meat in the wings. The chicken schnitzel was cooked perfectly and was delicious. 3. Good well made coffee. Negatives- I only have one and it’s very nit-picky. I didn’t love the Guinness. I don’t know, maybe it’s a case of it not flowing all that much, but it didn’t quite cut the mustard. Perfectly acceptable. However, it just wasn’t as delicious as it could/should be.

Excellent food. Great menu with halibut and lobster. Excellent beef. Marvellous duck...it just goes on... The staff are a delight, therefore you know that they are well-trained, well-paid, appreciated and looked after...likewise with the staff in Cashel, in both establishments. An object lesson in how to treat staff...when you hear the cry: 'oh, you just can't get staff anymore...' Sadler's and their sisters completely upend that argument. We can't wait to get back. Gorgeous decor and lots to see and experience. Great comfortable chairs. Also the tables are lovely...this is a high-end, professional and homely restaurant. On a par with The Merrion in Dublin. It's all in the attention to detail, the wine glasses are just perfect in weight and heft.

Absolutely beautiful set up ,great service and coffee. Unfortunately we were too late for lunch ,but will definitely try again . Even though it’s on the road ,plenty of space to park

Stopped here for lunch .restaurant lovely. The girl that seated us was friendly and brought us water and took our order. While waiting I noticed food under tables obviously from previous customers . There was plenty of staff no reason it couldn't be swept . When we got food waitress never asked if we needed condiments we actually had to get up and ask . I had fish and chips .the batter on fish was nice but to be honest there was more batter than fish and chips seemed like they had been precooked and refried. Very disappointed. Dessert was OK but I agree about the banoffi sundae in previous comments. I heard another table request mayonnaise and tomato sauce to be told all mayonnaise was gone !! Seriously. Wont be in a hurry back .

The decor in this restaurant is stunning! Very warm and comfortable atmosphere. Food was lovely and service was good. Music we had to ask to be lowered in volume as it was quite loud but the waitress was very nice to have it adjusted. I had a fab lunch here and would definitely go again.
