Visited Sael London and had a really pleasant evening overall. The room has a warm, buzzy brasserie feel, soft lighting, comfortable tables and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger over a bottle of wine. Service was genuinely good throughout: friendly, attentive without hovering, and everything arrived at a nice pace.
The food is solid and well executed. The oysters were fresh and clean (but not to my liking - lemon zest was wrong addition), the langoustines were OK (slightly over-grilled) , and the twice-baked cheese soufflé was OK. Our mains were cooked properly and presented well, and desserts were enjoyable too. For me the cooking sits firmly in the “good” category rather than truly memorable, but everything we had was tasty and satisfying.
All in all, Sael is a very decent spot for a relaxed dinner with good food, good service and a lovely atmosphere.
