We heard about this place and decided to try it out. Our server Makayla was very friendly and nice. We tried the mango burrata, KFC chicken, bhatti murgh, chicken shorba, shockwave (tamarind drink), Lagan chicken, Goan shrimp and berry pulao. Most of the dishes had great flavor except the pulao which tasted bland. And like some other reviews, most of the food did not come out hot (they were warm at best). Given the prices, would be a nice place for occasions not a regular stop for meals.

I had an excellent experience at Safar by Karimi. The food was rich in flavor and beautifully prepared, especially the paan patta chaat, which was amazing. The BBQ Bhatti chicken and Safar KFC chicken were highlights, perfectly cooked and full of taste. The menu offers an impressive variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The service was attentive and courteous, adding to the overall experience. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly staff! I was there during the high tea menu time and had a delicious panini with beautifully seasoned fries and a side of fried onion with some great chutney. The tango with mango was a fun light and sweet drink to pair with the savory food and after that I had the Spanish Latte which was absolutely delightful, as we found out that they use beans from a local roaster. When I was leaving they had switched to the dinner menu, so I got a lovely halal lamb biryani to go which reheated wonderfully, I can only imagine how much better it would’ve been fresh, with the peaceful atmosphere. Everything at Safar is high quality and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining experience!

An evening well spent when food, ambience, and service come together perfectly. We started with the Mango Burrata Chaat, a delightful fusion of creamy burrata and tangy mango layered over a bed of spiced Indian sauce and topped with fresh berries. It was a true culinary masterpiece. Next came the Goan Chicken Sausage Kulcha, rich, aromatic, and full of flavor that left us wanting more. For the mains, the Rogan Josh truly lived up to its name with perfectly cooked meat immersed in a bold Kashmiri chili curry. The naan deserves a special mention for its unique flavor and softness, easily among the best we’ve had in the Bay Area. We ended on a sweet note with Daulat ki Chaat, a melt-in-your-mouth dessert that was pure indulgence. We’re already planning to return for their High-Tea menu. A quick chat with the owner added a personal touch. We had been eagerly waiting for this spot to open for over a year, and it was worth every moment.

Safar by Karimi - New in Cupertino! An up-scale restaurant with a bold and creative take on Indian food, serving unique flavors from many parts of the country. Nice and clean. Plenty of parking. Courteous service. Good food. A good addition to dining options in the South Bay.

Hands-down one of the best dining experiences in the Bay Area! Safar by Karimi is a game changer. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is something special. The vibe is vibrant but elegant, modern but warm. The team here, led by acclaimed Chef Amit Puri, has crafted a menu that's both rooted in authentic Indian and Pakistani flavors and elevated with fresh, creative finesse. I went to their soft opening with my family and every dish we tried was absolutely next level. The Safar KFC had that perfect crispness and spice balance, and the pani puri was mouth-watering. The Berry Pulao? Fragrant, rich, and layered with flavor -- it totally stole the show. And the meats, from lamb chop to murgh kebab, were juicy and seasoned with precision. Service was on point: friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely proud of what they're serving. That kind of energy makes the whole experience feel elevated and personal. The space itself is beautiful too: perfect for a special dinner, date night, or big family meal. If you're in Cupertino or anywhere in the South Bay and haven't tried Safar by Karimi yet, you're missing out. It's the kind of spot that makes you excited to eat out again. Seriously fire food, killer atmosphere, and a staff that treats you like family. 10/10 recommend.

We tried Safar a week after it opened. The food and service were fantastic. We tried the mango tango , makai shorba soup, paneer dil ruba, Kashmiri naan, and the pistachio lava cake. The lava cake was an amazing experience in itself. The food reminded me of some of the great Indian food we had in London.

We had an exceptional experience at Safar. We'd been waiting for this place to open for a while, and it didn't disappoint. All the food was uniquely flavored, but not just for the sake of being unique. Especially loved the tandoori avocado and rahra gosht. The ambiance is also great - amazing place for a formal work dinner or to host guests.
