Google
Great venue. Seen a comedy show and most resent a musical and we love the upper Balcony seats. Easy to access from many close by parking garages as well

Google
It was super easy to find, very nice inside, our seats were fantastic. Most of the ushers there were super helpful, had one that couldn't be bothered to help, even with the security guy even trying to help me and explain to her. Just wish there had been parking closer, but overall had a great experience with my son.

Where to start? First, why can't people buy tickets without a Sacramento zip code? Most cities I know want tourism and out of area dollars, but Safe Credit Union Performing Arts Center doesn't because it was a multi step process to get tickets. Second, folks in Sacramento apparently think I want to pay $100 a seat to hear their opinion midplay. I don't. Why the entitled show goers can't be quiet for more than two minutes at a time, ushers can't do their job, or the house able to handle these issues makes me give it one star. I might have made an argument for Some Like It Hot's Opening Night, but hard to do when seat mates can't just sit and shut up.

The box office staff member Andrea, was so helpful to my husband and I last night. She issued or tickets and then after seeing where they were, asked her supervisor if she could change them, she did, and then re-issued our tickets. All with a very helpful attitude and a smile. She started our whole evening off delightfully. Security was so pleasant and jovial too. Then the ushers were helping us find the best spots for photos. Wow! Your HR Team know how to select the right folks! Great job everyone!

Google
A group of friends and I went to go see the musical Tina here. We had a great time. Everything is clean and up to date. They have drinks and snacks available. The ushers were knowledgeable and the show was amazing! Will definitely return.

Google
The venue is nice upgrade from the old one. Overall, it's pretty nice. The people working there are nice. It's in a great location with restaurants and entertainment close by. The box office however, is horrible. It's a joke. Works OK in the 2 hours before an event, but other than that, it's the worse one I have experienced.

Google
Wow!! The new remodel of the Safe Credit Union Performing Arts Center is a must see!! It has a modern and grand flair. I saw Bret Goldstein here and had a blast! He is one of my top three favorite comedians for sure. The seats were comfortable. The sound was phenomenal and it was quite organized with the friendly staff that ushers you to your seats. I was really pleasantly surprised. They serve great adult beverages. They do have a metal detector and best to have a clear bag when you check in. It is also a great location to nearby restaurants and bars. Five stars!!!

Angie Sullivan

Google
They didn't open the doors until after the time the show started; they didn't man the lines, and the service was slow. The only reason I put 3 stars was because it was a newer building with nice decor, and the location was cool (right by the state capital), but even the air conditioning wasn't to my expectations. It was 8:30 PM, and everyone was sweating; it wasn't a good experience.

Yelp
This is probably one of the biggest and nicest theaters I've ever been to, even compared to the ones I've been to in NYC to watch the awesome broadway musical shows. Very spacious, easy to get in and out of the building, concessions for drinks were at 2nd level, spacious and well designed restrooms, the seating was far roomier than NYC and other theaters I've been to. This is the epitome of what an excellent theater is. I imagine many more sunny days ahead for them.

Yelp
Great experience, beautiful venue, easy access, nearby parking, Friendly, helpful docents. First time at this venue and seeing Hamilton. Very good.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the & Juliett musical did not know we were going to be subjected to two men kissing we walked out during intermission.

Yelp
Went to another concert at this venue and it is very easy to get into as well as get a drink. Options are on a couple of levels. Staff are always helpful and friendly and always assist with finding your seat. There are multiple restrooms and other than during a break you do not have to wait in a long line. We usually sit in the orchestra area which gives a good view of the act on stage. I recommend this venue for a concert or play.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our first outing at the Performing Arts Center to watch Romeo and Juliet Ballet. The Center is modern and grand with excellent decor, seating, and acoustics. The concession area and restrooms were very convenient. We all enjoyed the Ballet and look forward to coming back.

Yelp
The performing arts center offers a great place to come for a wide variety of events. Tonight I came to see the Cirque Dreams Holidaze show. My review is the for the center itself. Its modern architecture and state-of-the-art facilities enhance the audience experience, while the intimate atmosphere fosters a strong connection between performers and attendees. They have 2 snack bar areas where you can get snacks, drinks and alcohol. Their concessions are a little pricey and you can bring items purchased inside the theater to enjoy. Overall, it stands out as a vital cultural institution that enriches the local arts scene and encourages artistic expression. I highly recommend going and enjoying a performance in the heart of Sacramento.

Yelp
What a beautiful theater! I went to see Mrs. Doubtfire The Musical. Lots of concession stands & bathrooms...making it easy to get in/out of lines.

Yelp
Enjoyable Shows, but Watch Out for Concession Prices!! Last night a little bottle of water was $5.50 plus the credit card reader asked for a tip ! Hello 2024. Anyway , I've been to several shows at this venue, and overall, it's been a great experience. The seating, even in the nosebleed section, offers a good view, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Navigating the venue is easy (it's not huge), there are a few parking garages nearby ( last night there were tons of street parking ), several restaurants close by to enjoy dinner before the show. Last night we saw a production of Six the musical about Henry the 8th ex wives . Lots of colorful lights , dance , and song ! Go catch a show :)

Yelp
I struggled between 3 or 4 stars because of the usher situation. My family bought tickets online, not knowing we had to go through the box office for accessible seating. There is not much information about this, so we had no way of knowing. When we got there, the usher was dismissive and said we should have arranged it ahead of time, but how were we supposed to know? I asked to speak to the box office to see if we could adjust seating, but the usher said it was six minutes until curtain, the box office was closed, and if anyone left their seat now, they would be locked out for the first 15 minutes of the show. That left us stuck with no options, which was really frustrating. I was excited to see they had interpreters that night, but I could barely see them from my seat. They were all the way in the front row, and I was up in the second-tier balcony. Not much help from that distance. The only reason this review is not lower is because I got to meet the sign language performers after, and they were amazing. They took the time to help me figure out how to get accessible seating for the next show. Without them, I would not even think about coming back. The venue is beautiful, but the bathroom lines were a mess. They did offer a booster seat for my son so he could see the stage better, which was a nice touch. I will be back now that I know how to get the right seats, and I hope next time is a better experience.

Yelp
Good venue in downtown Sacramento. I went for the grinch musical. Fun performance! This place has a lot of seats and they are pretty spacious, which tall people like me can use and have some space. Everything is organized and clean including the bathrooms. Make sure you check for restaurant discounts if you're going out nearby.

Yelp
Visited to see the live film concert of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We parked a few blocks down the street and walked to the Performing Arts Center (not to be confused with the convention center!). Heads up that they don't sell meals here, just light snacks like popcorn, jerky, and soft drinks. The snack line was way too long so we skipped eating and just went to our seats. The ushers helped us find our way, but I felt like the seats were pretty cramped together. There wasn't a lot of room and I was scared of bumping elbows with the person next to me. When people had to get up to leave, I had to shift sideways so they could pass in front of me. I was also kinda upset that we couldn't take any photos or videos during the performance (not even without flash). I really just wanted to take a few clips of my favorite scenes, but the ushers watch the crowd and either 1) shine their flashlight at you or 2) block your phone camera and tell you to turn it off. I thought it was a little strict on that in my opinion. Other than that, the orchestra was really great. Love seeing HP film concerts!

Yelp
I've been seeing Broadway shows and comedy events at this venue for over three years now, but upon my most recent experience, may not be coming back. I'm a season pass holder and was excited to attend a recent Hamilton show with my family. There was a family of two adults and a child who had to be around the ages of 5-6 sitting directly in front of us. Throughout the show the dad kept playing on his phone, talking to her daughter, his daughter was climbing on the banister in front of her and even stood up a few times during the show without being told by her parents to sit back down. It was incredibly rude behavior and distracting from the show. I talked to an attendant during intermission, and two other family members of mine talked to some other attendants as well. The attendants said nothing could to done and they only speak to other guests if they're video taping or taking photos of the performance. The second half of the act the dad and his daughter talked off and on the entire show, he continued to be on his phone, and the show was completely ruined. My spouse even asked the dad if he could stop talking as we were in the theater and he did nothing. I'm incredibly hesitant to renew my Broadway season tickets here again or see any other show here. If people are on their phones, bring rude and non-stop talking during a show and NOTHING is done about it by the staff at the venue, that is a hard pass for me to ever return. Broadway tickets aren't cheap and I deeply feel that other guests should be able to have a positive experience as well- and that bad behavior should be addressed. Be warned that if someone is talking during a performance here next to you or being rude, nothing at this location will be done about it.

Yelp
Had a conf here a couple weeks ago. Conf area was just the right size. easy in and out from my hotel.

Yelp
My husband, in laws and I had a great time at the Ain't Too Proud (The Temptations) show last night. It always feels like such a special outing when we visit this performing arts center. They have a great selection of canned cocktails, beer and other non-alcoholic beverages. I was surprised with how yummy their little charcuterie box was too! My only complaint about this place is the seating! There are no cup holders which is so essentially necessary when wanting to enjoy a show comfortably. I found it very annoying to have to hold my drink (or move it to the ground a million times) while I tried to put together my charcuterie bites! But the show was exceptional! The performers were outstanding -- best Broadway show yet!

Yelp
This was a smaller venue for a concert I went to. Parking wasn't too bad and the sound in there was very nice
google avatar

Yelp
This place was in a good location with parking right across the street. The only thing is I thought the theater was a little small. I've been to a bigger theater to see the Nut Cracker and had assumed it was but it's ok. The seat we had were pretty good until someone taller sits in front of you which makes it hard to see. Over all we did have a nice time. Expect to pay the price for drinks and snacks they only take credit cards so for get the cash. Also it seems like they open the door an hour before the performance starts.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I've come here a few times and had great experiences each of the times. They have plenty of parking that's walking distance to the venue. Seats are easy to access and staff is very efficient. They have snacks that aren't too overpriced, and you can take them into the theater.
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
I have been to the Performing Arts Center a couple of times now, most recently last night to see Hadestown and I also have a great time! The theater is large and they have a great open lobby area with plenty of seating! They have a concession stand with beer, wine, soda, snacks, etc.! They have multiple clean bathrooms with great red tiling which I love! Staff is very friendly and always eager to show you where your seats are located. My only complaint is that I wish the seats were a little more staggered because it can be hard to see the stage if the person in front of you is sitting up straight. Can't wait to come back to check out another performance soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere. It is a perfect sized venue, and I have seen a few plays and productions here. Get there early enjoy a few adult beverages before being seated.

Yelp
Came here for a conference with a bunch of educators! I was actually very impressed to see how easy it was to maneuver my way throughout the building. Everything was very easy to go around - except the checking in process. They only had 3-4 front desks to check-in hundreds of educators. I would definitely think about spreading out those front desks because figuring out the lines when checking in was a little nightmare-ish. My experience is just based on the conference I went to. It was a convenient place to meet for sure! The parking garages made it easy to find parking and it's in the heart of downtown so there are many places to eat for lunch and coffee options galore!

Yelp
We saw the Nutcracker here and enjoyed it very much. Clean venue, staff was nice. Seating isn't that comfortable, but we still had a nice time.
google avatar

Jonnita W.

Yelp
Nice location first time here, an exciting time to be here, as I was finally allowing the chance for myself to enjoy one of the most top rated performing arts groups out there. During this actual show, there are no videos or photos allowed for the protection of the company performing. it was really nice how they have different concession areas set up with merchandise for sale pertaining to the show of the night, and there was also a concession stand that you could buy candies, chips, and beverages. Keep in mind, though you will be informed that the only beverage that is allowed into any of the rooms or the performance take place is water. No eating and no other beverages outside of that. Our show was being presented in the orchestra room, which was a really nice size room. You have about three sections of your floor seating and then you have a few upper sections of balcony seating, which is pretty nice as well and a pretty decent size stage. Piece of advice Always plan and prioritize your time management in order to locate available parking within the area so that it does not put into your time of arriving on time. There's a really cool display outside which resembles a massive peak Himalayan salt also as you are walking to this building, there are a line of illuminating lights that receded from the ground so you were walking over them, a nice touch add it to the area. But from what we could see during our visit this center was decent Center. For the occasion.

Yelp
came here to see the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie concert, and it was phenomenal! staff was friendly and very accommodating - especially when finding seats. i was seated in row A - right in the front of the stage. my knees were literally touching the stage. when looking at the seating chart before buying tix, it appeared as if there were some sort of space between the rows and the stage. that's not the case haha! it was amazing to see the orchestra close up, however, having to look up at the screen can be pretty taxing on the neck. it was so fun seeing all of the potterheads dressed up and cheering throughout the film when their favorite characters/scenes came up. it really livened the space and proved that this isn't your ordinary performance! overall, great performance. i'm looking forward to the next movie concert that they have.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to take my daughter here to see Sacramento Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker for her first ballet since she loves ballerinas and wants to be one! I'm a bit rusty since taking ballet as a child, but she's always twirling around, curtsying when she finishes, he he! I won't give away any spoilers in case you hadn't seen the ballet, but she loved watching them twirl around and seeing their beautiful festive tutus, as did we! Something about watching ballet is very calming too, maybe it's the classical music, but we stayed awake and the performance was flawless and the young dancers were so graceful! The ballet has finally opened after 2 years since the pandemic started and everyone was masked up, including some dancers, vaccine cards checked at the door as well! We'll definitely be back in the future I'm sure to watch more performances here, despite having a rambunctious child, to start a family tradition! It was definitely a favorite child memory for my family!

Yelp
Beautiful theatre. Nice ushers. Very good acoustics. Comfortable seats. The addition of closed captioning (at least for Six) was a welcomed sight! Big improvement with the ladies room, but more towel machines are needed please. My other request is to discover a more efficient way to sell swag. Lines were dreadful. As a side note the flying bat was a fun bit of entertainment.

Yelp
Visited the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center last Wednesday for the first time to see Book of Mormon and had a great time. I will definitely be coming back when the right show is on tour! They really couldn't have made getting tickets and parking easier. I ordered my tickets online and they were mailed to me within a few days. I looked online for parking info before the show and they had recommended lots and garages as well as garages where you could prepay to park. We ended up parking just three blocks away for $5 and I was able to charge my car on the first level while we were at the play. Score! As for the venue - it was awesome! Bigger than I expected and we were pretty far back, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it one bit. Scanning tickets was a breeze and while the concessions stand was pretty long on the ground floor, the line on the second level was fairly short. We got to our seats with about ten minutes to spare and had a blast watching the play. The performing arts center feels very modern and classy but the prices are certainly affordable and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Concessions were fairly priced, too. All in all, a great experience. Looking forward to seeing some of my other favorite plays and musicals here when they're on tour!

Yelp
Would recommend getting here an hour and 15 minutes early if you want to get a look at the place with a much smaller crowd. Bag and ticket check aside, no one for the photo backdrop or the front concession stand and a very small one for the souvenir booth. (I had my vaccination card ready, but they didn't actually check it.) We saw that they opened their doors an hour and a half before the start of the performance and walked a bit more around the park before going in. I definitely enjoyed being able to take my time to look at everything (the concession stands has a few fun, if pricey, themed foods). Speaking of food, if you're looking for a meal before or after the performance, there are restaurants in the area partnered with SAFE Performing Arts Center. If you show a same-day ticket, you can get a 10% discount on your bill and that discount does work multiple times (brunch/lunch/drinks) in multiple locations. They'll send out an email with the list of restaurants near your date. For parking, if you don't have another arrangement (bus or drop-off), there is metered street parking around the area including directly across from the Performing Arts Center. However, the rates for that do rise after two hours. You can also purchase a parking pass for one of the nearby garages through SacPark.org, though I would recommend waiting until they send out the email with the details. Their bathrooms are SO NICE in both quantity and quality. They remodeled it so that each booth is more enclosed yet remains spacious, so like a little room. I managed to avoid needing to go during intermission, but this has to be the first time I've gone to an event and there was no line for the women's restrooms before OR after the show. Be careful with your tickets. If you do lose them, ask around with the ushers. Lost tickets are apparently typically given over to the head usher. Not that you really seem to need those after you get in as long as you remember your seat number.

Yelp
I went to see Tina, the Tina Turner musical I had been excited to see this evening. The play was amazing, unfortunately my experience at Safe Credit Union performing Arts Center was not. I was late arriving and didn't hear the announcement about phones not being permitted until encore performance of the show. I did, record a moment of a performance from my 4th row seat (which wasn't cheap) until the usher Otto alerted me that filming wasn't permitted (he didn't mentioned anything about being able too during the encore. I learned this from the kind woman sitting to my left). About 20 minutes later Otto storms up to me and starts yelling that he has received several complaints about phone usage in rows 3&4, yet he didn't address anyone besides myself. I had not filmed since our prior conversation. As a woman, it felt extremely uncomfortable for a man to approach me so aggressively and speak to me in manner he did, as the only African American in area I felt intentionally singled out and attacked. After I gathered my senses, and during intermission I approached Otto, and asked to speak with his supervisor. I ended up speaking with Bianca who who listened to my concerns which I appreciate. However I never received an apology from Otto or on behalf of the way he treated me, which was publicly embarrassing and not at all the experience I paid for. I highly recommend seeing this play, however I will never again patronize Safe Credit Union performing Arts Center again! I have enjoyed quite a few events there previously but Otto made it clear to me that I wasn't welcomed there and my business was not appreciated. I hope no one else has this experience! I would have rated this as a 1 star experience or less if that was possible but the play really was amazing.

Yelp
This is our second time watching a Broadway show here (Hamilton and this time Disney's Frozen). There are lots of parking lots within a 5-10 minute walk. It is located just behind SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. The seating offered are in Orchestra, Lower Balcony and Upper Balcony. We sate in the upper balcony in Row M , Seats 119-124 which was the second to last row, pretty close to the middle of the theater. Even though we were pretty much at the top of the theater, we can still see the stage well without feeling like we were missing out on the experience. Book early and you can still get the cheapest tickets a few more rows down. Will definitely be back here for future shows.

Yelp
Nice venue! The seats are situated so that you can get a full view of the stage no matter the section. I saw Hamilton Live today and it was a spectacular performance. All should go see it! The downside to the Performing Arts Center are the bathrooms. Clearly there aren't enough to support the capacity of people during 20 minute intermissions. The line to the ladies restroom spanned across the walkway. Nonetheless, the renovations is a good expansion to Sacramento's entertainment industry.

Yelp
Came in October to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Live in Concert. Was amazed by the size and beauty of this concert hall. I wasn't aware that Sacramento had their own, so at first wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The performance was fantastic. I am excluding one star because the food/refreshment stand had poor choices. The food choices and snacks were very very limited and ran out quickly. It was a bummer compared to other concert halls I've been to that had a wide variety and plenty for all who were coming to watch a show.

Yelp
An exceptional venue that hosts a variety of performances. It's been a venue for music and theatre for me. The sight lines are excellent and the acoustics are outstanding. I always look forward to seeing what's upcoming.

Yelp
Went to this performing arts center to see a comedian who was great but I have to say this venue was very nice, security was in place at the entrance and overall staff were very kind. Found our seats with ease and the lighting, sound and everything was great we will go back for other events as they come available great venue!!

Yelp
I recently was blessed to watch "Wicked" at the new (to me) SAFE performing Arts Center. I love what they did to the front. The Will Call area was easy breezy and very quick to pick up my tickets. The added bathrooms were much needed. They are large and clean. In fact, the whole place was very clean and pretty. There is no bad seat in the house (except I wish they would replace the seats with larger ones to accommodate my big butt LOL). The lines were very long for refreshments & I marked one star down for that. I know that good help is hard to get these days, but it sure would be nice to be able to get a drink without a large line. Overall, I love seeing performances here. Very beautiful buidling.

Yelp
This review is long overdue! A friend and I went to see my daughter perform in Sac Ballet's, The Nutcracker at the new performing arts center. I had chaperoned the previous year, but this year, my work schedule worked out and I was able to see my daughter perform. It was wonderful! It was all decked out for the holidays, and a major improvement from the old center. I will say that the only issue that I have is with the insane parking situation that they have going on down there. I happened to take a Lyft this time around because I knew it would be worth it, rather than paying an arm and a leg for parking, or having to park miles away. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend to come and check out a performance here if you are able to!

Yelp
First review since the reopening as the SAFE CU Performing Arts Center (the original Community Center Theater was built in 1976). Before the pandemic, I was able to see Dear Evan Hansen when that season of Broadway Sacramento was held at the Memorial Auditorium venue while this was under construction. Other than Broadway shows, I've also seen the Sac Philharmonic (Star Wars/John Williams concerts) and Ballet (Nutcracker) here, Kristin Chenoweth too. So far for 2021-2022, I have seen Hamilton, Officer and a Gentleman, and Anastasia. Next up for me is Wicked! The ticket box office is now to the right side of the main entrance (along L St.) for will-call, and you do need to show ID and Covid vaccination card before scanning in your tickets. Masks enforced indoors. The expanded lobby has that very nice chandelier lighting near the additional concessions, and they sometimes set up the current show's photo backdrop there or in the carpeted area in front of the central staircase near merchandise sales and restrooms. Speaking of, the updates/expansion to the women's/ladie's restrooms are very impressive, whereas before you'd be better off leaving the building and going to the Convention Center bathrooms during intermission. The naming of the seating levels has slightly changed, what was the Second Grand Tier before is now Upper Balcony, what's the same is Lower Balcony and Orchestra (+boxes). The seats themselves got reupholstered, but I feel like they are still cramped, even for little me. This isn't like the *actually* old theaters in San Francisco built in the 1920s, but even those went through major renos. I thought part of the renovation would include adding more center aisles so that if you were in the middle of a long row you wouldn't have to squeeze by. If they did add aisles it wasn't up in the balconies. I had also hoped for better acoustic enhancements (take a note from the UC Davis Mondavi Center!); from the balcony, Hamilton was good, Officer and a Gentleman was pretty bad though -- not sure how much was live accompaniment versus backing tracks. Anastasia was pretty good from the orchestra section. Other than the $XX.XM renovation, ticketing surcharge fees will supposedly go toward digital displays for the building exterior, a digital marquee for J Street, dressing room upgrades, and a media screen for K Street Plaza per the Sac Biz Journal. I recommend parking at the Capitol Garage (10th & L), event parking was $15 for the Saturday evening show. Pre-pay with ParkWiz. If you park at Hyatt you can get validation as well. Unfortunately, most of the eateries that were nearby are scarce and the ones that are open are pretty popular especially when there is a concurrent event at the Golden 1 Center, so eat elsewhere or make reservations, or catch a matinee or weeknight instead. Broadway Sacramento still has the $35 Under 35 club I believe, and up next at the venue is the Shen Yun Performing Arts Tour in March, before the musical Wicked returns to town.

Yelp
I recently visited to see Wicked on tour and having not been here since after the remodel, all I can say is wow! What a spectacular theater, the seats are fairly comfortable and there are so many sections for different seating. The actual lobby and restrooms are stunning and overall the design is just fabulous. I can't wait to see my next show at this theater!

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times and I've loved coming every time! Shows are always great and the facility is really clean and well maintained. One thing that I like is that the bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. I've loved coming here and look forward to attending more shows.

Yelp
They basically extended the lobby from what used to be the area where you can drive up and changed it to more windows. Inside some things stayed the same but the bathrooms are now spectacular! The stalls are nice and the doors cover the entire stall. It has more privacy than a regular stall. Inside the theater it seemed smaller. I think they re did the seating and added more railings and lifted the orchestra and middle area more. They also added more entry doors. They extended the balcony boxes closer to the stage. I swear before renovations the theater seems spaciest and bigger. It feels narrower now especially when guests are trying to get in the rows to their seats. The stage looks the same and the orchestra pit too. I like how they have people actually going up to people to let them know their masks needs to be over their noses. The concession stand stayed in the same located but it seems to be pushed back from its old location. It's much slacker in the front and inside lobby and they also added couches for people to sit in. The box office is also separate located on the side of the entrance on L Street. Though people did pool in the front after the show so now everyone is exiting on L Street and the cars are pooling un front of the theater on L Street. Traffic nightmare.

Yelp
Had a grand time here - so delighted to catch Hamilton in a new city! It was pretty cool to be there on opening night... because it was opening night for the Theater as well! I was chatting with an employee about how CLEAN the bathroom was, and it was because it had literally just been finished THAT DAY! It's great to have the Donor's CIrcle up on the mezzanine! So many comfy spots to choose from to sit and sip a beverage before the show. (Pro Tip It's also a great spot to nab a bathroom break at intermission - you can be there in like 30 seconds if you're in the lower balcony!) The theater itself is laid out beautifully, the sound system was spectacular, and the seats aren't cramped or uncomfortable. I was really happy that the full COVID protocol was in effect - proof of vax or negative test required! Can't wait for Wicked in April!

Yelp
Visited the Safe Credit Union Performance Center for the first time to see the opening of the Nutcracker. The location is perfect - walking distance from parking and restaurants. The facility is beautiful and the customer service is great. The Concession didn't offer any coffee or hot chocolate, but the had Prosecco, so we forgave them Overall we had a great visit and the ballet was breathtaking. Loved the live orchestra!

Yelp
They do not allow sizable bags/purses in this venue. It's understandable BUT it was not stated on the tickets or any if the emails received before the event. Parked a fee blocks away, got to the venue and had to turn back around to bring my little backpack (maybe 9x5x4?) to my car. Which is also sketch because it's a downtown sac area. The bag information should really be listed on the tickets or emails so guests can decide how to attend. It's not that difficult to prepare guests. Kurtis Conner was amazing tho and the venue is very beautiful.

Yelp
Embarrassed to admit I didn't know the performing arts center existed until recently. A friend was being in featured in a production, and a group of us rushed to get tickets to attend. It's a really nice building with a good sized lobby to mingle and wait for friends, lots of windows which makes the space feel airy and bright. The attendants were easily identifiable in uniforms, and ushered attendees to their seats unprompted (which was really nice for us since we were unfortunately late and the production had already started). I noticed a refreshments area on the main level, and fit you picture takers; quite a few areas to take some nice flics with family and friends.

Yelp
Movies are cool but they can never replace live broadway! Catched a show here by the touring Aladdin musical group. I sat in row H in the 2nd tier balcony; not too shabby of a place for a seat.....didn't feel like I needed to squint, though maybe sitting in the absolute back row might make you feel like you're way too far from the stage. Seats are a tad small and the armrests are rather thin; my seat didn't make me feel too uncomfortable, but I did take advantage of the intermission and walked around the venue to put life back into my arms and legs. Clean place. Parking.....not the most ideal. I mean, it's in downtown after all, and the website did list some nearby public garages, but the garages downtown aren't clearly marked and I just ended up driving around eventually finding a parking spot on the street (not really easy to do during the afternoon.....the place is right across from Capitol Park). Plan accordingly!

Yelp
Love that this is in our community! I have watched several shows here over the years. The most recent was Frozen the Musical. The facilities are well maintained, lots of on street parking and parking structures near by, the bathrooms have many stalls, assistive listening devices are available for people who need them, and there are also booster seats for kids on request!

Yelp
We went here for a convention and it was very nice. The lobby is open and spacious the restrooms are clean and in convenient locations (big plus with children or if you're like me and need to go a lot). It was very easy to find and there is plenty of parking near by. The concession stand wasn't that great but we just decided to eat across the street at a pizza place. There is also lots of restaurants close to the center.

Yelp
I brought my mom here to watch The Nutcracker on opening night. The performance was beautiful from what I did get to see. I had to watch the back of the ushers head for most parts of the show. She was moving devastatingly slow and clearly having a hard time getting up and down the stairs. I'm sympathetic to disabilities but she ruined our experience. It was like every twenty minutes she would mosey down the stairs to be a cell phone nazi to someone who wasn't even using flash photography yet I could see flashes going off from the balcony above us. Next the concession stand ladies... what was with the ugly attitudes? The menu clearly said "hard seltzer" yet I was told curtly, "We don't serve seltzers here." Well what they do serve are warm canned cocktails for $13! They got irritated with my mother for having the audacity to ask for a cup of ice... which they also did not have. We were told we could not take anything but water into the theatre so we slammed our drinks only to watch everyone else bring theirs into the theatre. Be consistent with your rules! Next time I'll save my money and visit somewhere closer to home. This venue was so unprofessional and although the ballet was still great I am just so disappointed in the venue and I'll tell everyone I know not to waste their money.

Yelp
This is a Credit Union who really puts their customers first. I am always treated with professionalism, respect and feel valued.

Yelp
Parking is a bit of a drag but once you get here, it's a great experience. Easy entry, no wait, no fuss. They have a full bar, $10 for a plastic cup of wine, $8-9 cocktails. Limit is 2 per person. We grabbed tickets kinda last minute, we were in Tier 1, row E, seats 3 & 4. We had an incredible view of the stage. There are only 4-5 seats in the upper tiers on the sides and they jet out over the sections below. The sound was perfect. We perched the inlaws front and center orchestra, and they loved being able to see everything. The bathroom lines can be a little long during intermission, so be smart about it. Glenn Miller Orchestra is a show not to be missed.
