I have placed two orders for cupcakes with the location’s bakery, recently. My first experience was in person and a lovely lady greeted me asking if I had been helped. When I told her “not yet” and asked if I was able to place a cupcake order for tomorrow, she said “yes” and was quickly scolded by an older woman by the name of Patricia. Patricia said “you would need to ask me, not her, as I am the one that would make the cupcakes”. I proceeded to give Patricia my cupcake order and she was very brash, rude and short. She didn’t give me a total, didn’t ask if I would like to pay now, just told me to pick up tomorrow.
I had to place another order over the phone a week later, and dealt with Patricia. Once again, she was very rude over the phone, asked me what time I would like to pick up, when I told her “12:00 or 1:00, doesn’t matter to me”, she said “well it does matter, let me check who is in front of you”.
Then tells me a time to pick up tomorrow and proceeds to say “by the way, we need two days in advance for orders, see you tomorrow, bye”. Before she hung up I asked for a total and her name. Mind, you both my cupcake orders were standard cupcakes, nothing special, except for some football rings on top, that she told me they had in stock.
I understand that last minute orders are annoying, but if you’d rather I take my business elsewhere, I am happy to. If you cannot make the cupcakes, I will not be offended if you say so.
I will avoid this bakery at all costs if Patricia is working. She clearly has no desire to be professional in her customer service role.
I appreciate the other women working in the bakery who are professional and have great customer service skills.
