Saffire - Review - Franklin - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Like the prodigal son who returned, Saffire reopened its doors in The Factory after a six-year hiatus. Plenty of Franklinites have fond memories of celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, and their cousin Mary Beth’s cotillion graduation there, and it’s still the place to do exactly that. It’s calculatedly rustic, with the original factory windows, and a 300-year-old wooden bar that anchors the room. Tying it all together are the wood-fired Southern masterpieces, like the slow-smoked prime rib served alongside horseradish mashed potatoes and the pork chop slathered in a peach-chili glaze." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

This was our first time visiting Saffire. The menu has a combination of southern dishes with a few Cajun options thrown in. Being from southern Louisiana I am always hesitant to try Cajun food anywhere outside of my home state. I asked our server about the gumbo and he said the chef was from Baton Rouge so I gave it a try. It was a mistake. Gumbo is a soup made with a roux which thickens it but it shouldn’t be the consistency of gravy like this is. It was also way too spicy. I hate when people think Cajun food means overly peppery. The spice is for flavor not for heat. Also, tomatoes in gumbo is a big NO! Moving on….the truffle fries were amazing. I’m usually not a fan and most are just average but these are special. The burger was also really good. Lastly, the fried chicken over mac and cheese and greens was good but honestly not great. All in all the atmosphere was enjoyable and our service was good. We’ll be back.

Went to the farmers market and saw this place had opened recently. We went for brunch. Not a ton of options but everything was delicious. The gumbo was very flavorful with a little heat. Definitely recommend!!! The burger was delicious with plenty of toppings. Lots of blue cheese crumbles! The fried chicken was over mac and cheese with collard greens. It was amazing also highly recommend! I didn't know i liked collard greens. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Google
Great food, enjoyed the chicken fried chicken. It was flavorful inside out. Grate service. Our cups are always filled up. We were sat at a dim part of the restaurant so it was little less fun but it’s ok. Will come back for food.

My friend and I had lunch at Saffire earlier this week. We ordered the Ribbon Salad that the server recommended and the pasta to share. The candied pecans and veggie crips made the salad! The pasta was light and full of flavor. It wasn't too busy, so perfect for a lunch meeting. All in all, a great lunch and we can't wait to come back and check out the dinner menu.

Google
What I got (the beet salad) was good and well-prepared but incredibly small for the price. The staff was super friendly. The entire salad, before the first bite was taken, in its entirety is pictured. Again, it was good, but the size was surprising for a lunch salad (it should have been marketed as a side salad). Only brunch for lunch on Saturdays and limited menu.

Google
No longer a go-to brunch location with a broad menu, full bar, in a large, eclectic bistro setting. Service at the bar was poor. Our dessert order was not put in until we asked where it was. The Classic burger is good, can be customized and the serving of shoestring fries is large. The shrimp in the Créole Shrimp and grits are tail on, and really it was like warm salsa topping. The vanilla ice cream on the berry tart looks like it has finger marks. The wine list is sort , but diverse.

Google
We ate at Safire for the first time, and loved it. We met friends for dinner & drinks before a show at Studio Tenn and highly recommend Saffire (and Studio Tenn). Against my better judgement, I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with collard greens & Mac & Cheese. This isn’t really my thing, but it was recommended by my friend and again by restaurant staff. It was outstanding, and I’ll probably get it again next time (although both the pork chop and the meatloaf look interesting. The pacing was relaxed, the staff & ownership friendly and the entire experience enjoyable. I look forward to returning.

Google
Omg SAFFIRE IS BACK!! And better than ever I might add. The food and service were top notch! We started with the Steak Biscuits and these are a MUST. They must have a fairy in the back making the biscuits because they literally melt in your mouth and the steak is so flavorful and tender! The beet salad was sooooooooooo good. The contrast between the sweet beet and the salty cheese and the citrus was just the perfect combo. Also shared the calamari salad and that may have been one of my favorite things. So good I didn't get a pic! The fish sandwich was cooked PERFECTLY and loved the dip sandwich as well. Dessert was a treat! The cheesecake may have been the fluffiest cheesecake on earth and even turned a non-cheesecake fan into one, but the star of the sweets was definitely the blueberry cobbler. The atmosphere was fantastic and so were the cocktails. Service was amazing. Get to Saffire in the Factory ASAP!!!

Yelp
Food Tried the classic cheeseburger and saffire burger, both with fries and got the job done. The pickled red onion and aioli really set off the saffire burger. Service Pretty good. It was middle of the day, not too busy, so was surprised that it did take a while to get a couple of burgers. Ambiance Place was bigger than expected, plenty of light. Would I go back? Yes. The thing to take into account is there are numerous menus that vary depending on the time you go. Dinner, lunch, brunch along with happy hour, cocktail and beer menu.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Saffire, came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. I did hear that the chicken fried chicken was delicious, my mom ordered that and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to taste a bit and I will say, it was very flavorful. I was craving a burger, so I opted for the Saffire burger, and it came with blue choose and picked onions; and omg it did not disappoint. Our waiter was really nice On my way out, I noticed they sold the Peach Plenty sauce made by the The Southern. I love this sauce, so I had to purchase it. If you're looking for a great casual dining option where the staff is nice, I totally recommend.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Safire. A friend has been recommending it for a while. My mom ordered the chicken fried chicken which I tried and it was good. She subbed the greens for a salad. I ordered the Saffire burger with American cheese instead of blue cheese. It was good and flavorful. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating throughout our visit This is a great casual spot to check out with the family!

Yelp
Franklin's Factory has grown into a destination to enjoy restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and desserts. For a lovely lunch or brunch, stop by Saffire. It's got delicious food, a great cocktail menu, warm inviting service, and a casual, spacious atmosphere.

Yelp
Blue cheese biscuits!!! Do I need to say anything else. The biscuits are an appetizer and served with a one ounce filet in each biscuit. The serving is two biscuits per order. I could have ate 6 more. I was so impressed with the flavor of the biscuit and the tenderness of the meat. A must order if you like blue cheese and steak. Ate them so quick forgot to take a photo....

Yelp
Had arrived early for dinner at another location later in the area. Decided rather than shopping to just relax at the bar for Happy Hour. Best decision I made that day. Super friendly bar staff. Quick to provide a knowledgeable response about both the beverage and food menu. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere especially with the late evening sun warming the interior light. 2 for 1 Draft Beer, Truffle Fries and Half Dozen Oysters on the Half Shell was more than enough to satisfy my cravings. If I didn't already have dinner plans I would have gladly stayed here instead.

Yelp
Have you been to the Factory in Franklin? It's a fun visit with ample parking and nestled in there is Saffire. I am a native so I can tell you that some years ago Saffire was in the Factory in a different location, now it's right there in the front with super easy access. The ambiance is very nice and we were seated right away. Our service was good, and they have a nice menu, unless you eat gluten free, which I do. Their gluten free options were a tad lacking. In our group we had the prime rib (fantastic), a filet (great) and I had a burger with no bun. Give this spot a visit, probably a good idea to make a reservation.

Yelp
Really a 3.5 to me, but prefer to go for 4 here than 3. Came here on a Monday night, our last night in the Nashville area, the night before my birthday (flying home on my birthday, boo)...and wanted a nice meal. Good thing I didnt' see the bill til I got home...$165. 1 Old fashioned (it was ok) 1 Glass Wine 1 beet salad 1 halibut and grits 1 Peached Glaze Pork Chop After eating small bites/sustenance in Nashville it was so nice to sit down and have a proper meal. I did go to town on that Pork Chop. My wife said her halibut and grits was a bit salty (i agreed).

Yelp
I have not been to Saffire in years - since it closed and moved, but was excited to try. I was surprised by how busy it was for a Monday night, but figured that was a good sign. We were seated immediately (we had a reservation), and given the option for a table or a booth. We were greeted quickly by our server who said he was also the bartender for the evening. We asked several questions about the drinks and the menu and appreciated his honest responses. We ordered a couple of appetizers, drinks, mocktail, and entrees. They bring out complimentary biscuits which are delicious! The food was mostly good - we really enjoyed the meatloaf and the chicken fried chicken. At our servers suggestion we had the horseradish mashed potatoes which were quite tasty. The shrimp and grits were heavy on the sauce and light on the grits, so the least favorite entree. The risotto was nice. The service was where it was really lacking. As i mentioned earlier it was pretty busy and it was clear they were short staffed. I am not faulting our server/bartender - he was so busy making drinks he never had time to come back and check on us after receiving our food. This is really a management issue of not ensuring enough staff was present. It took us forever to get our checks and to-go boxes. Even if we had wanted dessert we wouldn't have ordered it because it had taken so long. It's also absolutely freezing in there. The happy hour menu looked nice, but for some reason they don't serve it on Monday.

Yelp
We love Saffire! Everything was incredible.... the bleu cheese biscuits are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, our entrees (shrimp & grits and chicken fried chicken) were perfect, and the service was excellent! We happened to hit happy hour, so my hubby enjoyed 2-for-1 drafts while I got the spiked cider martini. We will definitely be back each time we visit Franklin!

Yelp
Met some friends here in a very busy Thursday night in December- I like the new location in the Factory, but they keep it dark in there. We sat inside due to the cold weather, and highly suggest reservations or you won't get seats. It was packed! Our table was semi private which made it easier to hear each other, but I suspect it's harder to hear otherwise. Our server was very sweet and attentive to our group. When I was concerned about the spice level of the shrimp and grits- she brought me a little to try! Too spicy for me so I ordered the lemon risotto with broccolini and really liked it! Those who got the shrimp and grits and steak sliders were pleased. I shared the highly recommended beet salad with a friend, but it was a small portion to begin with so I didn't get much - $15 may have been a bit steep for the portion size. Good food all in all.

Yelp
They're back! After several years they have come back to the factory! Those that remember the huge wooden bar, it's back. It still looks amazing! We sat at the bar, and the bar tender was great! He had the Bees Wax mustache. I ordered an Old Fashioned with Sazerac, very good. My wife got the Old Fashioned with Fig, also very good and a Dirty and Skanky Martini. For an Appetizer we got the Truffle Fries, soooo good. They are thin fries, just the way I like them. The Truffle and Herbs on top were amazing. For Entrees, I got the Legendary, YES, The Legendary Chicken Fried Chicken is back, better than ever! A must try! My wife got the Blue Ribbon Salad, it was good and the Safire Steak Biscuits. That was an appetizer, so it was small. Look at the pictures. Cheers!

Yelp
Came by for a Saturday brunch with the girls and fell in love with this restaurant! From the min we walked in we all kept talking about how much we love different parts of the interior. And then onto the food and drinks, just wow! We each got something different and all of it was so delicious. The waitress was so knowledgeable and gave us plenty of recommendations to which really helped out our decisions ordering. Definitely check it out!

Yelp
Great place for happy hour so we go on a regular basis. Oysters and shishito peppers are my favorite. David, Derek and Jenna are thee BEST !!!!

Yelp
The Shrimp & Grits was exceptional, full of flavor and with the creamiest grits I've ever had. For some reason I was expecting the restaurant to be a bit upscale, but it was pretty casual instead. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The service was good and attentive. I wish there was a bit more variety on the menu, but I would return just to have the Shrimp & Grits again.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome food, great location, and a good variety on the menu. Oysters are a plus...Glad Safire is back!

Yelp
It's an industrial space, which very much suits the overall Factory vibe. It's a bit loud, with some wood elements giving it some warmth. The bar was packed, early on a Saturday evening. Nice selection of draft beers; I find it hard to pass up a Gerst draft. Southern okra dirty martini was a pass by the wife, she switched for the second to a traditional olive dirty martini. I believe that to have been just personal preference. For my second drink I did the autumn (fig) old fashioned, which was very nice. At the server's recommendation we started by sharing the bbq shrimp. 5 large shelled tail on shrimp in a really tasty pool of butter and spices, with a long slice of baguette for each of us. There was a lot of sopping up the sauce, between the shrimp and the bread. Definitely a repeat order. We each had a side salad to start. Their house peach vinaigrette is very good, highly recommend. The prime rib, billed at 14oz, was a large portion. The server said it "usually comes out medium rare", but sadly was a bit too medium and dry for my preferences, and a touch under seasoned. Though by combining the horseradish taters, mushrooms, and steak into a bite, and dipping in the accompanying au jus it was still pretty tasty. Wife had the pork chop with beans and collards, and enjoyed the dish. We'll definitely return, we're really looking forward to trying some of the southern dishes like chicken fried chicken and meatloaf. If they're as good as they sound, I'll happily update this review to 5 stars. Parking's a hassle on a Saturday evening, but valet is right around the corner.

Yelp
Even though we have been around when Saffire was here before, this was our first experience. Saffire has returned to the factory, after leaving in 2017 and offers a cozy, upscale vibe. My friend and I decided to meet here for our end of year celebration and shared a few dishes to get a good variety. To honor my friend, we kept in the realm of a vegetarian diet starting with the roasted cauliflower and the autumn beet roast salad. Both were phenomenal - richly flavorful and unique with a beautiful presentation. The kitchen offered us some free cheesy biscuits (so flavorful). We were so impressed at first that we expected the same from our main dish - the risotto, but unfortunately, it fell flat. The dish was bland and lacked the seasoning or depth we were hoping for, while the mushroom didn't do much, the broccolini helped a bit. Overall, it makes you feel punished like you just got done being sick and can't eat anything beside a BRAT diet, lol. Our server, David, saved the experience. Without us even mentioning it, when we asked for salt he seemed to notice we weren't thrilled with the risotto and brought us salt/pepper and a special sauce called Peace & Plenty to try. The sauce elevated the dish, and his attentiveness was a highlight of the meal. The cocktails were excellent and creative! My friend loved the Yuzu Lavender Spritz, which was light and refreshing, and I enjoyed the richer Autumn Old Fashioned that was warm and perfectly balanced. Overall, Saffire is a wonderful spot, but I'd skip the risotto next time and might try one of their main meat dishes.

Yelp
My wife is a fan of this place and tonight we finally went together. Appetizer truffle fries were great but that was about all. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens and it was all stacked together. Nowhere on the menu does it say that the collard greens were incredibly spicy. So spicy that I couldn't/wouldn't eat them. And since they stacked everything on top of everything else with the collard greens in the middle I had to separate the stack, scrape off all the super spicy collard greens and put them aside. However, since everything was stacked on top of each other that super spicy flavor transferred to both the chicken and mashed potatoes. Not going back.

Yelp
A solid breakfast option in the Franklin area. Located at the front of The Factory with plenty of windows to allow natural light in. I enjoyed my Benedict (with potato pancakes) and my partner mentioned their grits was made the way he preferred (thicker and creamier). I am interested in coming back here for dinner.

Victor M.

Yelp
Nice restaurant. The apps were good. But every steak was over cooked. I got a prime rib that was gray and looked like it had either sat out for 2 days or was cooked for 2 days. The horseradish potatoes were good, but that wasn't enough moisture to overcome this poor destroyed piece of meat. 2 fillets at the table. Both way overcooked. Only got 1/2 off for this disgusting looking thing. They charge $49 for this dead gross thing

Yelp
We had a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night. The restaurant was full but it wasn't super noisy like it can be in other places. My boyfriend is deaf in one ear so sometimes it can be hard to have a conversation in loud places. The restaurant was dimly lit and it was a little hard to see things on the table. Maybe if they put a small light on each table that would help and make the mood a bit nicer? The restaurant was more causal than I expected. As for the food, it was good. We started with the crab cake. I usually get the crab cake every where we go so I've had them from many different places. This one was good. The corn and bacon were a cool spin and added to the flavor. For mains we got the meatloaf and pork chop. The meatloaf was the super star! It was perfectly seasoned and the mashed potatoes underneath were smooth and buttery. The green beans were perfectly cooked and added a nice crunch to the dish. I'd highly recommend the meatloaf. My boyfriend got the pork chop and he said it was good. Nothing to write home about but he liked it just fine. For dessert we shared the bittersweet chocolate pudding. The pudding was very chocolatey and needed a lot more of the whipped cream. Like they should put dollops all of way around the dish. It was good but we didn't finish it because we ran out of whipped cream and the chocolate was a bit overpowering. Our service was good. Everyone was nice and welcoming. We'll be back for the meatloaf!

Kori B.

Yelp
If you like food... go here! Amazing breakfast. Amazing service. I'm not sure how you get eggs to taste that good but wow, their breakfast was incredible. "Good food served with a smile" - because I literally could not put it any better.

Yelp
We went here for a Saturday Brunch after going to the farmer's market at The Factory. It was well worth the visit. They have weekend Brunch, weekday lunch and Dinner menus. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. We both got a cup of their Gumbo for an appetizer and I really liked it. It had good flavor and it packed a little spicy heat, which I like in my Gumbo. For Brunch, they offer appetizers, a few Salads, Plates and some desserts. They have a full bar and there is free parking. I will warn that if you go on Saturday while the farmers market is in progress you may have to drive around to find a spot. There is also a shuttle on Saturday for $2.00. They were opened in Franklin in 2001 and closed after 16 years and then they re-opened in the Factory in Octber of 2024. The Bar top is about 300 years old and is hand carved which I thought was pretty cool. It's definitely worth checking out if you want some Southern inspired comfort food. Last but not least, they do have a patio with umbrella covered tables weather permitting.
google avatar

Brittany C.

Yelp
While the establishment has a welcoming, comfortable feel with pleasant and attentive service I would say the food itself was a delightful elevated southern comfort meal. We enjoyed the steak biscuit appetizer which was incredibly tender and perfectly portioned for 2. For our first main the meatloaf was excellently seasoned and had a crisp sear to the outer edge which provides a crust that everyone wants in their meatloaf whether they know it or not. The potatoes and green beans accompanying the meatloaf were well prepared and created a meal that exceeds expectations of "meatloaf". Our other main was the "legendary fried chicken". Again, fried chicken with collard greens and macaroni and cheese is the epitome of southern comfort but the preparation and presentation took the food to a higher level than you would normally anticipate. The portioning here, similar to the appetizer, was absolutely spot-on as what would sound like a heavy meal filled the appetite nicely. If you're looking for southern cooking in that elevated sense you should strongly consider Saffire.

Yelp
David and Blake are awesome at Saffire Restaurant at the Factory! Exceptionally knowledgeable, fun & personable, and superb mixologists.
google avatar

Sadira E.

Yelp
If you were a fan of the original Saffire, temper your expectations--this isn't the same experience. The shrimp and grits have a new recipe (isn't polenta) that falls flat, and both the drinks and desserts were underwhelming. I wanted to love it, but it just didn't deliver.
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
I was thrilled that Saffire was returning to Franklin so I had dinner with a friend the first week they opened. Sadly I was disappointed with the experience. I asked the waiter if the Old Fashioned came on a big rock and he assured me it was. When he returned with a huge glass of ice and bourbon I was naturally disappointed, I had to ask about the big rock and he blew it off saying oh I guess we ran out. For my meal I ordered the beet salad and crab cake. The salad was amazing but the crab cake was nothing special. My friend ordered the steak and said it was enjoyable but not great. I chalked the experience off to first week opening hiccups and decided to give it another try once they were open a bit. Fast Forward to a birthday dinner for 6 Once again I asked for the old fashioned on a big rock and was told no problem. Upon returning with our drinks we were told oh we ran out of those. Friday night at 6:30 and you're out? Our waitress was less than attentive for the dinner and seemed to be bothered with each question or request. The meal was tasty and came out pretty quick but none of us left feeling like they wanted to return. We will likely give it one more try in hopes that they are just trying to work out all the details of reopening. I sure hope so!

Yelp
Service was good, catch of the day, halibut, was excellent! Love the vibe at the Factory and in the restaurant.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Service was good but food was not great. Several had meatloaf; which was like a brick; two had prime rib of which were not good. The fried chicken was great! Overall, not worth expense, wines were awful.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Atmosphere is fantastic. Great date night. Good lighting and love that they brought the bar back. Meatloaf was wonderful. Fig old fashioned perfect. Regular old fashioned was ok. Our big disappointment was the fish and grits, that was the smallest and most overdone piece of mahi mahi. For $45, it was terrible. Will be back to try more but if you only have a few dishes on the menu, every one of them should be an experience..

Trish S.

Yelp
Had dinner with my daughter and son in law; food was fantastic; David was our server-he was great knew everything about the wine/food; brought us a sample of the wines we had questions about; his dinner suggestions from the menu were fabulous he was so attentive and friendly will go back again for sure!

Yelp
So glad Saffire is back and The Factory renovations are amazing. Our server Gary was the very best too!

Robby S.

Yelp
SO glad this Franklin staple is back and better than ever! The original owners are back, and Saffire lives again. The staff are warm and welcoming, the ambience is perfect, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Steak biscuits, crab cake, fish and grits, meatloaf... we loved it all. Give it a try and fall in love with the 2024 version of this special restaurant!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Food was good. Waiter was irritating. Thought he was a comic.....first three minutes was fine, but after that, just annoying. Had that not happened, might have been a 4.5 rating. Quality fine dining does not require waiter interference.
google avatar

Chad A.

Yelp
Loved everything about the experience and the food is absolutely amazing. I had the double cut pork chop. It's HUGE and so tender and Smokey from being cooked over the open fire. The service was so attentive and polite as well. We will definitely be going back soon!

Schuyler L.

Yelp
Sapphire is back and better than ever! My husband and I went out for a date night and can't recommend this place enough. Each table at Sapphire has a unique cozy feel, and the menu is . For an appetizer, we had the Sapphire Steak Biscuits. I chose the Roasted Beets Salad to follow, and the whipped goat cheese was to die for. Simple ingredients make each entree special, but in my opinion the Creole Shrimp and Grits are a must. Our service was great, the drink menu was unique- offering some great non-alcoholic options which I love- and we can't wait to try out lunch!

E. B.

Yelp
I have to say that I am glad that Saffire Restaurant is back! Although it was a busy Friday night, everything was impeccable. The ambiance was lively; however, it was not intrusive. The food - I started with the beef tartare. Never had anything like this creation, but it was phenomenal. The beef mixed with tahini, garlic aioli, and brûlée onions, and served with crostinis made for the perfect appetizer. For my entree, I had the Legendary Chicken Fried Chicken with double Vermont White Cheddar-n-Mac. The chicken was crispy and not greasy; the mac had the layered balance of both cheese and pasta. The portion size was very appropriate and for satiety; similar to European portion sizes. I finalized the meal with their famous berry cobbler. With its bumpy crust and scoop of vanilla ice cream with a cup of coffee made for the perfect end of the meal. My server Egle was the best. Although Egle had a full section, never once did I feel that I needed to wait for anything. She was very personable, friendly, and she did a great job making sure that her section was taken care of as well as being a team player with the rest of the restaurant staff. Another shout out to Torrey, the General Manager, for ensuring satisfaction throughout the whole experience. Saffire Restaurant, in its prime location, will be my go to place for elevated comfort food and its charmed personality. To those reading this, make this gem your stop when in the Franklin, Tennessee area.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the service was great. We go there for special occasions if we are in the area.

Teddi B.

Yelp
I took two guests for a birthday lunch today and it was a five star meal. We started off with the cauliflower appetizer, which was delicious. The gentleman of our party had the French dip and ravished it and loved the thin crisp fries. The other guest had a fish sandwich and a beautiful side salad. I had a burger with a side salad that was equally delicious. The service was fantastic. The ambience was perfect on a sunny day. We couldn't have had a better day or meal kudos to such a welcome addition to the Franklin I will be going back. I highly recommend it.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The atmosphere was so inviting. We were greeted with smiles on the staff's faces and happy to be there! The staff was so attentive to our every need! The food was cooked to perfection and everything we had was delicious! We had 2 appetizers, steak and biscuits and BBQ shrimp and we had filet mignon and both were cooked perfectly and served right on time! We will return!

John V.

Yelp
Excellent food , great oysters on the half shell service is excellent! Great southern fusion tucked away in a corner of the factory , a must try type of place !

Amelia K.

Yelp
Food was excellent. I had the shrimp and grits and the grits were so creamy and good. The creole sauce was very different but great. Husband had the chicken fried chicken and said it was delicious. Love the new look and feel at the factory.

Yelp
Saffire 1.0 was without a doubt our favorite dining spot in Franklin. This was our second attempt to try and recapture some of the magic that once was. We arrived early to meet friends at the bar before dinner. While we grabbed our drinks early, our other 3 companions sat at the bar for over 20 minutes with drink menus and no one bothered to take their order. Finally we gave up and went straight to our awaiting table. Speaking of tables, as soon as we were seated we noticed the table was rocking back and forth on the uneven floors. While the waitress was very attentive and tried to remedy this as soon as she saw us, this is a very temporary fix for a long term problem. Something needs to be done to fix the uneven floors and wobbly tables. As for the food, I ordered the burger and was very pleased. Two other table mates had salads so it's hard to mess that up. One person ordered the prime rib and it came out barely warm. Our steak biscuits were very tasty, but only 1/3 of the size as Saffire 1.0 restaurant. We left around 8:30 (on a Saturday night) and there were empty tables everywhere and no one at the bar. Sadly, I'm not real compelled to come back. Very disappointing experience. Lack of attention to detail can kill a restaurant. You be the judge.

Yelp
First time visiting The Saffire. When I heard that it was a reopening establishment from friends, I knew it had to be good. I was unable to get there on time so I missed lunch/brunch. The two bartenders Derek and David still made me feel welcomed with full drinks and great recommendations! I got the cocktail, "you're turning violet, violet". Delicious! I also got the chance to meet both managers. Both were amazing and interacted with guests and employees in a professional yet fun manner! Will definitely be back. Can't wait to try the food!

Yelp
Awesome experience from start to finish! Can't ever go wrong with the BBQ shrimp, and the Filet was cooked perfectly. Service was great and the manager made a point to come over say hello and check on us, made us feel like regulars already. Definitely apart of my restaurant rotation!

Yelp
If you were a fan of Saffire before they closed in 2017, prepare to be deeply disappointed. This is not the same Saffire. I wish I never went back. It's disorganized, and the food/drink is average (at best). It looks like the exact same menu they use at The Southern, but they just put a few tweaks on the Saffire menu to look clever. Honestly, everything about the place just screamed "laziness" the second we walked in the door.

Yelp
So glad to see Saffire back in Franklin. This is my favorite restaurant. The Cauliflower starter and Risotto are my favorites so far. Also, the cocktail list is so good. They make the best old fashioned I've ever had.
