"The white stucco façade and columns look rustic and elegant, while the full-length windows let in plenty of natural light. The interior of terracotta floor, textured wall, burgundy lanterns and dark wood furniture all help build up an appetite for an exotic meal. Signature dishes include murgh Kerala (Kerala-style roast chicken) and murgh kothmeri (coriander chicken). There are even chefs in one corner making naan bread to order." - Michelin Inspector

At the heart of Taipei lies a hidden gem, serving the most exquisite Indian cuisine to be found in the city. A bit off the beaten path, this culinary oasis is well worth the extra effort. The authenticity of the dishes is second to none, transporting diners straight to the aromatic streets of India. Each meal is crafted with care, leaving patrons thoroughly satisfied and nourished. The stars of the menu include the tandoori, naan, and lamb spinach curry, each surpassing any rivaling restaurant's rendition. The tandoori boasts a perfectly marinated, juicy flavor that lingers on the palate, while the naan strikes a delicate balance between soft and crispy. As for the lamb spinach curry, it triumphs in its depth of taste and tender, succulent lamb. Together, these dishes compose a symphony of flavors that few can match. As for the service, it stands as a testament to the care and attention paid to every detail at this establishment. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and unfailingly kind, further elevating the dining experience. While the prices may lean towards the higher end, the exceptional quality of the food and the elegant ambiance more than justify the expense. This Indian restaurant is truly a must-visit for all epicureans seeking a tantalizing culinary adventure in Taipei.

Google
The best Indian food I have tried in Taipei. I have been here for several times already and it never disappoints. The tandoori chicken is so much better than other restaurants. Service can be slow during rush hours but it is worth the wait and the waiters are kind. The price is quite expensive but given the quality and the environment I think it is definitely worth it.

Google
Nicely decorated, bright, comfortable restaurant, not very large. Two chefs were in this tiny enclosed space in the corner, with oven, busy baking and grilling meats (tough jobs!). Ordered grilled fish and lamb. Lamb was kind of tough to chew, but the fish was really good. The mushrooms and chicken in curry both were also excellent flavored and chicken was tender. The freshly baked bread went well with the dishes. Service was good.

Google
Outstanding quality and authentic North Indian cuisine. The meals achieved very delicate balance between spice and the original flavour of ingredients. I can tell the chicken curry here is the best one in Taiwan, the flavour is just unforgettable. Saffron番紅花 and Joseph bistro 想想廚房 are both the most stunning Indian restaurant I would recommend in town.

Google
Super fine dining restaurant in TianMu, serving a great varieties of Indian local cuisines Paneer is soft like tofu but full of flavor, tikka is splendid! With crispy roasted skin and juicy meats inside. Mutton curry is creamy and tasty; the spinach chicken curry is super! I like how the spinach is mixed with and how good it is to go with the garlic naan The service is wonderful, staff is willing to recommend the dishes, friendly attitudes, considerate of our dining experience Card is acceptable

Was a fun night out. Friendly waiter and waitresses. Friendly chef greeting us. Food was wonderful. Saw a roach inside the restaurant, but probably coz it’s on the 1st floor? …However had to give just a 4 star. Sorry.

Love, love, loved the food here x I thought I had a lot of Indian food before but this place exceeded my expectations. Staff members were knowledgeable and super friendly (especially Joe), even the chef at the display kitchen was very entertaining. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

My family went on a weekend and I recommend making reservations ahead of time. The food is delicious and full of flavor and the staff is friendly. If you’re looking for good Indian food you won’t be disappointed here. Everything we tried was very good.

Yelp
The food here was fantastic! Came with my dad and a friend who recommended it. Between the three of us, we had the garlic naan, fried paneer, vegetarian samosas, one order of saffron rice, and two curries. I can't remember what it is called but the lamb curry with the sauce made from pistachios, cashews, and almonds was excellent. We probably missed it on the menu but you can adjust the spice level. They did not ask upon ordering so we didn't say anything and it was a level zero, which I think works for the local palette but I would've like some heat. Very helpful that they take foreign credit cards. Food was excellent and service was great. Every dish was beautifully plated. Would come back again

Yelp
I read that this place is one of the top Indian restaurant in Taipei so I decided to give it try. The restaurant is very well decorated so it would be good for dates as another reviewer stated. The location is very difficult to find and the waiter here recommended using the address of the other Indian place as a landmark to the Uber driver. The food is a little bland and surprisingly not that tasty. I really am unable to give it 5 stars and am giving it a 4 because the owner is nice and the place is nice looking. The chicken was dry as well as the lamb. Even the yogurt salad was completely tasteless! The naan was good, chewy but bland, everything here had no taste! I am very disappointed!

Yelp
Overall: the restaurant has great setting and very friendly staff. Our party has a two-year-old, and they set up the table nicely to accommodate the young kid. Food is in general more mild compared to other Indian restaurant, though it is probably not for young kids. Spicy lamb sausage: 4/5, very balanced taste. Curry (mushroom/chicken/shrimp): 5/5, less creamy, but strong flavor. The lamb curry is exceptionally good. The meat could almost melt in mouth. Tandoori chicken: 5/5, the meat is tender, and not too smoky. Potato and cauliflower: 4/5, it's a bit more sour than expected. Mango/peach/original Lassi: 5/5, amazing!

Yelp
I tried the Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Peach Lassi. The chicken was so rich and creamy! There was a good amount of spice in it too, though it was not actually spicy. The food all came out super hot and tasted fresh. The peach lassi was in a really tall cup--I've never seen this drink at Indian restaurants before so I'm not sure about the authenticity but it was a great refreshing and tart drink for the hot weather. The price is a bit expensive for Taiwan--almost the same as New York prices. The environment was very nice and the service was attentive though! It isn't common to find a good Indian restaurant here.

Yelp
A nice and relaxing atmosphere, with friendly service. Food is exquisite and delicious, however a bit small dish if for sharing.

Yelp
Best foreign cuisine in Taipei! In tianmu, this small and cute family restaurant serves delicious and fragrant authentic Indian food!

Yelp
Best Indian cuisine in Taipei! There's another Indian place right next door so make sure you go to the right one. It's best to park at Sogo, but sometimes you can find a spot right in front of the restaurant and they will notify you if the cops come. Each dish isn't cheap and not very much, but it's all very delicious and flavorful. I don't usually like Indian food, but this place I will go anytime! The naan is freshly prepared and I can eat 2-3 orders easily!

Robert R.

Yelp
I eat here regularly. The Chicken Tiki Masala and Butter Chicken are my favorites. They have several types of Naan give them a try you can't go wrong!! A little more expensive but well worth it for great Indian food.

David E.

Yelp
Very good food. Great service from Joe helping to narrow down my dish choices from 10 to 5. Chicken Tikka Masala and Aloo Gobi were very proper. Tried the chicken tikka saffron that had a nice flavor and was well cooked. The best dish was the Elaichi Ka Bhuna Gosht. Strong, flavorful yet subtle in its spicing and lamb pieces you can cut with your fork. Almost worth moving to Tianmu for.

Yelp
This place had really good authentic Indian food. The service was polite and treated you very well. The best part was at the end, which was a hand made, in house Saffron, Pistachio ice cream. This was the best ice cream I have had in my life. No joke! I await my next visit...

Yelp
Really good curry place! Clean, good service, and delicious. The cheese naan is a cheese-lovers' must!

Albert O.

Yelp
I've tried the place twice, but the food is not nearly as good as the Spice Shop. Service is a bit slow and the price is high. The chicken tandoori is the only decent dish I had.
