Google
Just finished my first dinner at Saffron and it was incredible. The atmosphere is very modern and chic but very welcoming and cozy at the same time. We got the veg samosas to start, I had the lamb korma and my friend had the salmon madrasi. All of the food was so flavorful and delicious, especially the garlic naan! We also had a couple seasonal cocktails that we very much enjoyed. The service was great too - friendly and fast but not overbearing. I cannot wait to come back again and again. Definitely give them a try!

Google
This place is in Aksarben area. The ambience looks great. Service was excellent. We ordered chicken spinach naan, bhuna curry, chicken biryani. I ordered everything spicy. They gave us welcoming chai drink with dal soup mixed with rice which was good. The chicken spinach naan was very good. But I’m very disappointed with bhuna curry and chicken biryani. As a South Indian, the curry and biryani isn’t usually like this that I have. I’m very disappointed with that .

Google
Saffron Indian Kitchen in Omaha is an absolute delight! The Tikka Korma was perfectly spiced with a rich, flavorful depth, while the vegetable samosas and garlic naan were spot on. Beyond the incredible food, the warm lighting and cozy atmosphere created such a soft, romantic setting—perfect for a memorable date night. 🌙✨

Google
Amazing food and great service they were really helpful about the menu and the lamb was out of this world it didn't have a gamey taste the flavors were amazing. Nothing overpowered anything else. It was a nice dining experience and we will be coming back. Thank you for the great experience.

Google
This is a wonderful Indian restaurant. Their drunk selection is large and cocktails are well made. The Jalapeno Popper Naan was delicious and paired well with both the Beef and Vegetable Samosas. The Chicken Tikka Masala was cream based and one of the best in Omaha. The Salmon Madrasi was a little one-note but still delicious. The Sweet Chili Chicken almost tasted like a sweet and sour chicken. There is a lot on the menu so I can't wait to go back!

Google
This was my first time coming to Saffron and was thoroughly expressed by the food and service! The atmosphere is quite nice too, very upscale aesthetic but chill vibes. However the food and service is what stood out the most. My partner had the Kadai entree and I had the Madrasi entree which were both exceptional! The chai was also super delicious and comforting. Will absolutely be coming here again.

Google
We went on a Sunday night and there was no need for a reservation. The servings were large. We got a jalapeno cheese naan that wasn't on the website. It had a green sauce that was complimentary and excellent. The chicken biryani came in a black pot with a pastry covering the top. It was huge! There was enough to serve at least four people. It also had a complementary cucumber yogurt dish. The bill came to ~$30 and we had plenty to take home. The service was excellent. We tipped 30%. Downside - The menu items are different from what is on their website and descriptions are not accurate.

Google
We love this place, it is such a treat. My fiancé and I always look forward to date nights here, the food is impeccable and the atmosphere is so cozy. The music is so relaxing and the furniture makes you just want to sink in and enjoy. I always get the Kiwi Mojito, the Curried Salmon with soup and Garlic Naan, it is so filling and always leaves me wanting to take a nap. We always have leftovers, so the meal will be a midnight snack! The servers are so nice and we always feel so welcome.

Yelp
Our Favorite Spot in Omaha! The happy hour menu is unbeatable, with delicious drinks and standout appetizers like the samosas, house soup and garlic naan. We also love the spinach cheese dip. Their entrées never miss, and an honorable mention definitely goes to the Tikka Korma Chicken and Chicken Korma which is comforting, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Beyond the food, we absolutely love the vibes. It's cozy, welcoming, and has become our go-to spot for a great night out. Safron is hands down our favorite restaurant in Omaha!

Yelp
I wish i had the experience others have had on the reviews. Samosas were meh, 2 stars. Bread was just 3 stars. Chutney was worse than bottled. My chicken vindaloo was a pathetic portion and tasted of vinegar. No depth. No delicious spices. No lemon (which is far superior in vindaloo). I think I had a half of a small potato. A complete letdown and a .5 out of 5. Half a star is for the dear chicken who deserved a better life. My partner had the lamb korma and it was a 3.5 out of 5. The service was ok. Nothing phenomenal. The space is ok. There was a lot of open space and noise, it wasn't comfortable to us. The bar area was weird as was the man that kept walking around. It wasn't the elevated Indian dining experience we were expecting.

Yelp
Our go to Indian place in Omaha. It would be better of the samosas were smaller and maybe if you got more in an order. The entrees though are great and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Great for photos on a date night
google avatar

Jess N.

Yelp
Interior was beautiful for date night, they have a room that you can rent for private events as well. The chip/pita/ naan bread that came with the spinach and cheese dip was hot and fresh. The spinach & cheese dip was a bit salty and had a hint of curry flavor to it - this was like a curry spinach & artichoke type of dip. For our entrees we got the chicken masala and lamb bhuna - both spicy. The heat was definitely there - definitely knew how to spice it up. However the masala was very creamy since it has sour cream in it - it didn't have that usual tikka masala taste to it compared to other restaurants I've tried. I was slightly disappointed that the menu didn't have the basics of butter chicken or a regular chicken tikka masala. The lamb bhuna was very flavorful compared to the masala, but the rice that was served was a bit hard almost like it was undercooked or old rice - basmati rice can be a little softer. The drinks were great! Mango Moscow mule was sweet & same with the cosmo! Our waitress was friendly and checked up on us often.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! Highly recommend! Great atmosphere for well prepared and presented Indian dishes

Yelp
Went for lunch, great service and awesome atmosphere. For the price, you'd be hard pressed to find a finer dining experience. Went with the Pick 2 lunch option (2 entrees, rice, mixed pickle, naan, dessert). For $16, this felt like an absolute steal. And also, $2 bottomless chai? Easy choice, delicious! Overall, great experience, food could definitely have more spice, I wish I'd have chosen hot because medium felt very mild. Naan was good, but far from the best I've had. For the price, this place is a great lunch spot!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place--we come here often and always have a great experience! I can't believe I haven't reviewed them until now, oops! The food is AMAZING--everything we've tried is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. They also have great happy hour specials. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. Plus, the portions are generous, so we always have leftovers to enjoy the next day! If you're looking for incredible Indian food and a warm atmosphere, this is the place to go :)

Yelp
Back at Saffron for lunch today. Was good on this cold day. Sadly a couple things though made it a 4 star. For some reason they didn't have any mixed pickle . And I asked for my dishes to be XXtra Hot and they were maybe medium spicy. I absolutely love the pick 2 lunch option though. I had lamb Koran and chicken masala. Always great flavor! The meat samosas today seemed to be lacking flavor compared to past visits. All around still a very enjoyable lunch.

Yelp
Came here on a weekend for lunch around 1 pm and the place was EMPTY! At first I was concerned, however the service and the food was excellent. The lunch special is a great deal and served on a thali. The vibe of the restaurant is upscale with large windows and open bar space. The food was delicious I tried the chicken masala, lamb korma and salmon. All dishes had a great balance of spice and flavor. Will definitely be back to check it out again!

Yelp
Happy Hour was such a hit! Super cheap dishes that are delicious! We ordered one of everything and it was great! We loved the sauces - We did go off of happy hour for the artichoke cheese dip that probably isn't super authentic but was delicious! I can't get over it. Service was quick! Polite and quick. Very beautiful decorations. We want to buy their dining chairs for our home now! Beautiful experience on a Saturday night! Great food. Great service. Cheap happy hour. We will be back!

Ashish B.

Yelp
Awesome service. Fresh food and great quality food. I highly recommend this place. Bottomless chai was amazing!

Yelp
Went for the lunch special. Enjoyed everything we got! I loved how it came with a complementary chai. It is very nice inside restaurant. Love the color scheme inside and the plants in there. The service was decent.

Linda B.

Yelp
5 star restaurant, exquisite cuisine, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend, especially their lunch special.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. Our party enjoyed the beautiful food and drink. Service was attentive and helpful. Lamb, salmon, and chicken dishes were splendidly prepared and presented. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Yelp
The best Indian food in Omaha. Service is always great. Our families favorite. We eat at Saffron at least twice a month.
google avatar

Maddie E.

Yelp
I ordered Chicken Tikka Korma to go. It was a very good sauce but, there was not a ton of chicken. Very flavorful and full of spices. The side of naan and mint sauce was very good! Minty but not too overwhelming. Everything was still very hot when I got home so, out order must have been made very fresh. For the price, I would visit again but, maybe eat in. It feels like there were a few things that we missed out on by taking to go.

Yelp
Omaha has a wealth of good Indian restaurants to pick from, and Saffron is a great choice if you're looking for a little more of an upscale Indian dining experience. The cozy, dimly lit interior and warm curry was exactly what I needed on a cold January night. No reservations necessary for a Sunday evening; we were sat and attended to immediately. The menu includes all of the classics, as well as some interesting cocktails and an extensive bar menu. We started with the veggie samosas, which came with two sauces (1 savory and 1 sweet). The samosas were great and very large, but they would have been perfect if they were a tad hotter. For an entree, I got the Chicken Tikka Korma, which was delicious. It was the perfect balance of rich, creamy, and savory flavors. A match made in heaven with the fresh rice and naan. I also really enjoyed the soup included with the entree, which came out before the main meal. The presentation of everything was beautiful as well. There is a lot of seating inside, but they also offer patio dining for the warmer months. I look forward to coming back! I might choose another spot for my day-to-day Indian food, but this was definitely a cute spot for a nice quality meal.

Yelp
The salmon Bhuna was to die for!! I would definitely come back again just for that! Love the atmosphere & great service as well.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience for a meal! We came in on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was happy hour, so we ordered apps to share and drinks. I ordered the Mumbai for my drink, it was like a Negroni and so lovely, but potent! My friends both ordered the Bombay margaritas and enjoyed the fresh flavor. For apps, we ordered the Keema paratha which I enjoyed more than the chicken and cheese naan, which was similar. They both came with mint chutney that we couldn't get enough of! I wish the keema paratha would have had more tomato flavor, but the beef was a great flavor. Both the meat and veggie samosas were good, great depth of flavor for both. I prefer veggie samosas personally, it's not a samosa to me without that delectable turmeric spiced potato filling. The cheese and spinach dip was a delightful surprise. I didn't originally want to order a cheese and spinach dip at an Indian restaurant when there are so many good options, but it was heavenly! The dishes all had gorgeous presentation, every time something came out I audibly gasped, ha! Our waitress was really great until the end, when we couldn't find her to get our bill, but we weren't in a big hurry, so no big deal. Prior to that, she brought us complimentary tequila shots since we were celebrating a birthday, it was so sweet! She said normally they bring a dessert, but she said these seemed more fun, which we totally agreed with. As far as the ambiance, the restaurant itself was beautiful. It was a mix of casual, not-everything-in-its-place vibe while also combining the upscale decor and dark look for a touch of romance. It's a good place for a casual happy hour with girlfriends or a romantic date night. They have a party room where someone was having a graduation party, so it's good for groups. The one odd part was the bathroom was so dark, by design, so that could potentially cause problems if you can't see well or have one too many Mumbais.

Yelp
Our supper club group visited Saffron together (a large group of about 10 people on this visit). And while the food tasted excellent and the ambiance was top notch, the wait time/service left a little to be desired. When we arrived, we ordered a few starters - the Garlic Naan and Chicken Cheese Naan. Both came with a pale green mint chutney for dipping that was delicious. The garlic option was a little more light and airy, while the Chicken and Cheese one was almost a meal in itself. Both were still very soft and fluffy, so it just depends how heavy you want your naan to be. We also grabbed the Beef Samosas which were amazing. They came as these little triangles of fried dough filled with super tender and seasoned beef, a few veggies, and topped with a tamarind and mint chutney that played off each other well to counteract the heaviness of the beef and fried factor. So here is where the timing issue began that I mentioned earlier. The server was nice and explained everything very well in terms of what we were ordering. The issue was that the starters were brought out, and then we did not see our server again for about an hour (not an exaggeration). I think they were waiting for us to completely finish every bit of the starters/food on each plate of naan, etc before they would come take out entree orders? Well once that was sorted out and they did come out to take our orders, we were back on track (just a little hungry and confused!) Each entree came with an accompanying soup or salad. I chose the Mulligatawny soup, and it was thick and smooth and so tasty. Definitely recommend that if you're a fan of soup. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Korma for my entree and it was BRIGHT neon red when it arrived which I hadn't seen before, but that did not hurt the taste. It was great! Mixed with the accompanying basmati rice and the naan, it hit all the right spots I was craving. My husband got the Beef Vindaloo and he loved it. I had a bite and it was pretty packed with heat, but he is a lover of intense heat as long as it is for flavor and not only to cause pain. I should also mention that they do add a swirl of Raita to each dish to help counteract a little of the heat or add a little flavor. Just so you know, that is what the white swirls in your dish are. Saffron has bright, fun decor and amazing food. Just maybe order your starters and mains at the same time!

Yelp
When we went to Saffron it was very busy. Thankfully, we had reservations. Due to the business, food service was slow. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. Aside from the wait, the food was tasty. The Spinach Cheese Naan was a great way to start our meal. It was tasty. Think a spinach dip in between naan. It was good, but not enough to get again and again. The mango lassi on the other hand is another story. That is one drink to get with every visit to this restaurant. The best way I can describe it is that it's like a mango yogurt smoothie. It can probably count as dessert. When our main entrees arrived, my husband's Lamb Vindaloo dish was pipping hot. My Salmon Madrasi was a less so. Both dishes tasted great. Something I wish I had known before going -- you do not have to be all the way dressed up. Most of the patrons wore nice outfits, but nothing too formal.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I love this place so so much! My first experience here was amazing. And the second was even better. The stuffed chicken and cheese naan is a MUST. The coconut mojito is so tasty! Definitely recommend!! And the Lamb Madrasi was so creamy and rich and full of flavor. But the Chicken Biryani was my favorite! The nutmeg/cardamom flavor was everything. I couldn't get enough. The service was great and the ambiance was so warm and elegant!

Jeannette J.

Yelp
I loved the Lamb Britain. I loved the presentation in the clay pot and yummy bread covering. The chicken vandalized had great spice!

N K.

Yelp
Great food and service as always! We enjoy coming here with our friends and family. Better than others in the city.

Zach V.

Yelp
Maria was a fantastic waitress and was very attentive. We had a great meal. Nice atmosphere.

Robert C.

Yelp
This is under appreciated! The Papadum is amazing - very thin and crispy and pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. But the Biryany chicken was amazing. I wish this gem would expand beyond Omaha!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopping into one of my favorite Indian restaurants to enjoy their Omaha restaurant week featured menu. A wonderful selection of a starter, salad or soup, several main course options and dessert plus a house wine or cocktails for $50 a person. Entrées are served family style so everybody can have a taste. Always enjoy coming to this restaurant offering a combination of classy, cozy, and wonderful food. Relaxing music serenades you over a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails. Our server was friendly and attentive. A nice list of happy hour options and even some noshes. The vegetable samosas on the happy hour, appetizer list are just top notch. Indoor and outdoor seating is available as well as a very nice bar area. Highly recommended that you stop in and check out this restaurant as soon as possible.

Yelp
Portions | Flavor | Service Portions - The portions were surprisingly large. We would recommend doing "family share style" if you go. We shared a variety of plates and rice. It was the best play because it allowed us to sample multiple dishes without getting overfilled. Flavor - The flavor was delicious. We had two dishes (curry chicken and curry salmon), soups, and two types of rice. Overall, everything was rich in flavor, and I would happily go back again and recommend it to friends. Service - We had great service. We were there Saturday 6 - 8 pm. So, the earlier side of the standard busy date night. The restaurant was 75% full, and our waitress was very attentive. We never had a water glass go below 1/4 full, and everything we asked for came out in a timely manner. Pro tip: Make a reservation because this place can get busy during peak dining hours. Pro Tip: you are in Aksarben village. Therefore, there is a good amount of parking.

Yelp
I went to lunch at Saffron Indian Kitchen with two work friends. My first time at this restaurant. We were greeted right way and taken to our table. We looked over the menu and when the waitress came over to take our orders she was very nice. I am on the Keto diet so I asked if I could substitute some vegetables for the rice and the Naan bread. That was a no. So when the meal came out on the school cafeteria style tray with the individual compartments it looked very empty since the largest compartment where the rice and bread goes was empty. While there wasn't a lot there to eat, the food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was nice. Had they let me substitute I would have rated them five stars. However due to the small portions I felt it was not worth the $16. Still very good. If and when I get off my diet restrictions I would gladly return.

Yelp
The ambiance here is fantastic! Very elegant. Velvet booths and chairs. Perfect lighting. Very spacious and open. There is also a small outdoor patio filled with plants. All of the staff were fantastic! Very attentive, kind, and great at their jobs. The star of the show was the vegetable samosa. So beautifully plated and crunchy. Came with Mint Chutney and Tamarind sauces. The entrees come with a soup (lentil) or a salad. All around $20-30 which seems fair for the full experience. Aksarben has lots of street parking and parking garages. Might take a bit to find a spot but they are there!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
This is my favorite happy hour spot. I get an order of vegetable samosas, garlic naan, and a mango mule and it's more than enough food for me and less than $20. It's not going to be traditional Indian as it has an urban twist but those samosas are so good with their mint chutney. Service is always great as well. I've ordered Chana masala from here as well and it's good but prefer more traditional so I just stick with the happy hour menu. Gotta highlight how pretty the decor of this restaurant is too. Love all the colors and the plants

Yelp
I am writing this review to share a deeply upsetting and discriminatory experience. My friend and I have been coming to this restaurant for business meetings for some time, but this recent visit was completely different and unacceptable. We were at the bar counter and ordered happy hour drinks right before the special ended. The manager came over, checked their watch, and then asked for our IDs after Serving my friend alcohol drink. When we didn't have them, we chose to order food instead. The food order was also messed up. The salads that were supposed to come with our entrées never arrived. When we brought this up to our server after we finished our food, they condescendingly asked if we wanted our salads "now," which was a completely unhelpful response. The way our concerns were handled made us feel as if they assumed we were just looking for a free meal or drinks. We were offered free drinks, but we didn't go there for a handout. We went to relax and enjoy our evening. The experience left us feeling that we were treated differently because of our race. This was not just a service issue; it felt like discrimination. I sincerely hope this review leads to real change so that no one else has to face this type of treatment. and I paid for every single drink and the food item that I order so they don't think that we came with the issue and again, I'm not asking for refund or free things. I just want to point this out

Yelp
We have been here too many times to count and it hits every time. Love the team here. Always so friendly and supportive and the taste of the food is always consistent and delicious. They are the best Indian restaurant in the city. Trying the samosa is must coming here and their soup that comes with the entree!

Yelp
Yooo this place is !!! The inside is a relaxing vibe that would be great for a romantic date and catching up with friends. They have a good happy hour menu as well as an extensive cocktail list. The salmon was by far my favorite, since it was grilled perfectly and you could control how much sauce per bite (sauce served on the side). The flavors here were complex, spicy, and balanced. I loved it!! It's not to say the chicken was lacking, since that was perfectly cooked and I loved the coconut sauce it was accompanied. There was more than enough rice, and we had lots of sauce and rice left over. The naan and soup were good, but the stand outs were definitely the main courses. FYI soup or salad comes with each main dish. Our server was quick to refill waters and anticipated refilling our sodas. From start to finish, it was flawless!
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
This place has a great ambiance, and our food was incredible, especially the aloo paratha and the chicken tikka masala. The reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because the service was a little slow, and the chairs weren't super comfortable.

Yelp
This is an upscale Indian restaurant with absolutely delish, fresh and tasty food. Everything we ordered was super good and well seasoned. The stylish decor and furniture definately added to making our visit here a delightful dining experience!

Yelp
I was staying in a nearby hotel and had a taste for Indian cuisine. I stumbled upon this place based on Yelp reviews and the high stars that it was rated. The inside is beautiful it gives a great feel with a chique interior, and my food was wonderful. I ordered the garlic naan with the salmon and shrimp Bhutta, which was a special request that they made for me. Again, it was wonderful. The service was great and the staff was nice so I would definitely return if I'm in the area.

Yelp
The food was delicious, best Indian food in Omaha. The service was fabulous, food came out so fast. The ambience was lovely. Had the chicken biryani and garlic naan bread. Mouth watering good.

Yelp
We loved every bite at Saffron! Started with Mumbai cocktails, Garlic Naan, and Papadam. My husband had the Beef Vindaloo as his main. He's gotten this dish elsewhere but has never been asked the cook temperature for the steak, he requested medium rare and that's exactly how it was prepared. I got the Salmon Madras, a slightly spicy coconut salmon dish I had never tried before, but will be getting again! The Old Fashioned stuck close to the classic but with added favors of spices that made ity new favorite variation of this drink - which is saying something because Old Fashioneds are my go-to cocktail. We closed the meal with a new dessert our fabulous waitress recommended. I didn't catch the name but it was a creamy, noodle custardy sauce topped with ice cream and jam. She said it was based on a Nepali street food. It was unique and delicious! Beautiful decor, great service, delicious food - we will be back!

Yelp
This is an excellent place to go with out of town guests, a lunch work meeting or meet up with friends for happy hour drinks and snacks. It's a higher end Indian experience amidst beautiful decor and friendly and helpful staff. The lunch special let's you choose two different entrees and it's a generous portion. The dinner menu isn't overly expansive but there are a range of options including a large piece of salmon over greens, a huge clay pot of biryani covered with naan, or a spicy and savory platter of Chicken 65. The cocktails are innovative and there seems to be a huge selection of wines to explore. This restaurant is really a gift among Omaha's mediocre and overly crowded dining scene.
google avatar

Yelp
Arguably one of the best Indian restaurants in Omaha. They have certainly filled the void in the Aksarben Village and proved to be another great dining choice in that booming district. My recommendations... - Lamb Madrasi - Tandori Half Chicken - Beef Vindaloo - Lamb Biryani They also offer some refreshing cocktails as well as a decent happy hour menu. Lastly, they have amazing and attentive staff!

Yelp
Overall, I was slightly underwhelmed with the meal that we had here. While some dishes were quite good, I felt like some of them were quite bland, which is really not what you expect from Indian cuisine. To start with, the drinks were delicious. I had the Bombay Old Fashioned which was a very delicious take on a classic drink. I really enjoyed the added dimensions of chocolate and chai. The vegetable samosas were also very good as an appetizer. After this, we had soup and salad, both of which were OK, but the soup was quite plain. For our main courses, we had lamb vindaloo which was a little spicy, but overall relaxing in depth or dimension beyond just being spicy. The Aloo gobi was quite flavorful though. The staff was very kind, the service was quite quick, in the decor of the restaurant is very interesting, I just was slightly underwhelmed by the food, particularly at its price point.

Patrick M.

Yelp
love this restaurant. the happy hour menu is very generous and the food is absolutely amazing. great atmosphere and the service is fantastic. 5/5

Yelp
The decor is so well put together and looks beautiful. Our server was really nice and made good recommendations. We had a few different items. I started with the Magic Mikey Mocktail. Aside from the wonderful presentation, it tasted excellent. We had vegetable samosas as an appetizer. Easily the best samosas I've ever had. For entrees, we ordered Vegetable Biryani w/tofu added, and Cauliflower Chicken. Wow. The entrees are HUGE. They both tasted great, but the presentation of the biryani was so unique. They make it traditionally and it's so good! We had soup & salad as well, both were great. I love Indian food and this is definitely my #1 favorite.
google avatar

Gaby G.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant in the Aksarben area. The decorations were super modern and the seating was super comfortable. My favorite plate were the beef samosas. They were amazing! My boyfriend got the lamb entree and they were very flavorful and soft. Although, the mild chicken biryani was pretty plain. Amazing presentation, but okay flavor. Maybe if I would have order the spicy one would have been more flavorful? And the garlic naan was okay. Super soft but no flavor.

Yelp
Walking into Saffron Indian Urban Kitchen the location was bright, many windows; full of natural lighting making this a great spot for anyone to equally enjoy. The waitress was knowledgeable of the entire dinner and cocktail menu making our decisions when it came order simple! Flavor So much flavor. The meat was cooked to perfection. The drinks had a lovely taste and aesthetic. I cannot wait to come back. Perfect

Yelp
Saffron is a welcome addition to the Aksarben dining scene. The interior design, delicious entrees and appetizers, and friendly service all make it an excellent restaurant and worth a visit. For me, the only couple of negatives that aren't causing me to rave about this place are this... cocktail was too strong (Bombay OF) tasted mostly of whiskey without the subtitles I was hoping for in terms of 'different' flavors than a regular OF. And the pricing for everything seemed at the very highest end of the market in town. Now for the positives, because there were MANY. We started with crab cakes, papadum, and a round of drinks. Followed up with mulligatawny soups. I was very pleased to see "cauliflower chicken" - a yellow sweetish sauce - and from what I understand, not a common dish at all Indian restaurants, though a favorite of ours. We also tried some of the regular favorites, chicken tikka korma and lamb vindaloo. You can choose your spiciness level from low, medium, high. Except the vindaloo, because that's always spicy. And it WAS. My husband - who is a spicy food lover - said it was the hottest thing he's eaten in a LONG time. Mango Lassi was also great, and they were kind enough to split it into two cups for our kids. Speaking of kids, for a place in which our family had the only children for a 5:30pm Friday dinner, they are [surprisingly] child friendly. High chairs and boosters are available, plus kids cups with lids. All that being said, welcome Saffron! I'm happy to have you in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised to find such an upscale Indian restaurant in the area! Very nice ambiance and the food matched with wonderful flavors! We made lots of noises as we savored the flavors!
