The 19 Best Restaurants Near Lake Tahoe - Tahoe - The Infatuation

"It’s not easy to find restaurants on the north shore that take reservations, but Safe Leaf fills that void. Fortunately, it’s also reliably delicious, leaning heavily on food sourced from Tahoe’s local food co-op. The homemade sage and cheddar biscuits, served with a honey drizzle, are a particular standout, and the braised bacon tacos have been a brunch staple for years. It pairs well with a candied-bacon-loaded Bloody Mary, though the pineapple sage martini will never fail to make you feel elegant. Try and get a table on the pretty outdoor patio if you’re visiting in the summer." - suzie dundas

Brunch at Sage Leaf is amazing to say the least! This is a small and cozy location that can also be lively.Sage, yes the sage and cheddar biscuits are a great side for a starter. I had the Tahoe blue french toast and the wife had the Truckee sourdough multigrain avocado toast and it was all amazing! I can't forget about the creme brûlée either which was a tasteful treat. Sage Leaf is a must stop for all. If I were the owners, I wouldn't change a thing on the brunch / lunch menu.

First time travelers to Lake Tahoe, and my husband and I are vegan! This place had a delicious Vegan Breakfast Hash that was perfection! It had plant-based chorizo, chickpeas, red onion, mushrooms, spinach, home fries, chipotle-tahini sauce, avocado chimichurri and it was AMAZING! We even added a bowl of the butternut squash soup to share. Highly recommend!!!! The ambiance and service was so great!

We got pork belly as a starter and the vegan sauté with grilled shrimps and The Burger with duck fat truffle aioli fries. The pork belly was absolutely amazing and the rest of the dishes were delicious as well. It was the best restaurant we tried in this area for sure.

My wife with me enjoyed an amazing dinner at this stunning restaurant. Every dish tasted incredible. The service felt warm, attentive, truly welcoming. An experience that left a lasting impression.

Sage Leaf isn’t just a breakfast spot. It’s a sermon. A sermon served with vodka, tomato juice, and bacon so transcendent it deserves its own religion. I’ve gnawed on A5 Wagyu in Miami, Barcelona, and Venice, but never — never — has a cube of pork belly dissolved on my tongue like this. It wasn’t bacon; it was divine intervention. I considered ordering a second Bloody Mary just to get another piece, because if these guys franchised bacon, McDonald’s would file for bankruptcy by Tuesday. The drink itself wasn’t a drink at all. It was a still life. Something you’d hang on the wall of a museum, only to lick it when the guards weren’t looking. And then the “mountain breakfast.” Eggs, toast, potatoes. Simple. Honest. Yet it felt like Sage Leaf invented the concept. As if every egg I’ve ever eaten before was just practice for this one. The potatoes had the quiet confidence of a dish that knows it’s better than you. Even the vegan hash didn’t feel like culinary punishment — which is saying something, because usually vegan hash is just regret served on a plate. Our waitress, Geri, was flawless. Attentive but never lurking, knowledgeable without condescension. The kind of server who makes you trust a menu item you didn’t even know existed. The space itself? Cozy, shaded outdoor seating, tucked on a corner in Incline Village — a town where ski bums and billionaires rub elbows at the same coffee counter. The place smells like hard work and old money, and somehow Sage Leaf manages to feel right at home in both worlds. Bottom line: Sage Leaf doesn’t just make food. They remind you what food is supposed to do — make you laugh, sin, and maybe consider moving to Incline Village just so you can claim this as your “local spot.”

Google
We ordered scrambled eggs with mushrooms, a salad, a burger, and a cocktail — everything was very tasty! At the entrance we were greeted by a very pleasant woman, which created a nice first impression. However, our waiter — a dark-haired guy — was very distant and unfriendly. It felt like he either didn’t like customers or simply hated his job. This made the experience quite uncomfortable. Total 4 stars I’m giving 3 stars for service only because of him; otherwise, the food and the welcome at the entrance deserve 5.

Google
This place was the best stop on highway 28 on the way back from South Lake Tahoe! I loved this burger it was so delicious in every sense. The burger had pickled onions, aoli sauce, avocado, fried sunny side up egg, and pickles. You have to try it! The fries were crispy and delicious. The presentation spectacular and really just amazing food. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit Lake Tahoe. Even the customer service was amazing, everyone was so nice and sparked a conversation with you. Come here next time your in Incline Village.

Google
Food was pretty good- corn beef hash could use a little more meat. The potatoes mixed with the meat looked the same. Some fat but overall was good and cooked just right. The pastrami sandwich was pretty good. French toast for kids was about average to me. But finally a place that uses real maple syrup. I don’t know how other brunch places call themselves a breakfast a lot and use corn syrup ( just bumfuzes me). The juices must have been good because kids and wife finished too quick for me to try. And then there is a tres leches. We were fool so had to get it to go. It was great! Not our favorite but it’s in the top of the list. Service was excellent with more than one person checking on us and serving dishes. Parking here can be tough! If you are staying nearby try to walk or bike it. Next door they have kayak and bike excursions. Overwlll we can’t wait to come back and try different

Yelp
We loved Sage Leaf! An adorable little place to grab good food and a drink! The biscuits and gravy were oh so delicious. The shrimp with andouille sausage was also great. Service was good, no complaints and we throughly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. We live small businesses, would recommend coming here.

Yelp
Sage Leaf is a decent brunch spot with all the classic options like biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, and French toast. I liked their twist on the corned beef hash with duck fat fries, and the French toast made with sourdough was a nice touch. Service was good overall. A solid, typical brunch spot if you're looking for familiar dishes done well.

Yelp
The atmosphere, cocktails and food presentation were is amazing. The burgers fell short of expectations and both were served a bit cool. We had 2 orders of the duck fat fries and while good had just too much salt to the point we had wipe down each fry. Looking back should have had them do them over. Overall, the burgers were disappointing, especially given the price, however the atmosphere and the cocktails were amazing.

Yelp
The food here is soooo sooo good! Definitely worth going while in Tahoe. Specially the pastas

Yelp
Small but very cute place. Came here after reading so many 5 star reviews. Unique lunch option, which is nice to see. Ordered a Bloody Mary, I didn't love the Smokey flavor, and I would guess maybe one shot . Also ordered soy chicken sandwich with fries (fries get a 5 star) and shrimp kabobs with sausage. First, it comes with 6, but they are very small shrimp. That was disappointing. The flavors were fine but certainly not a wow factor.

Yelp
This place is one of the most popular brunches in the area so if you want a good table on a weekend, definitely make reservations. We did not make reservations so luckily there was plenty of room at the bar. The bartender takes his job seriously, he's quick with the fancy drinks too. Food is delicious and wholesome. Definitely worth trying. Atmosphere is very "brunchy" and cozy.

Yelp
My sister is visiting and wanted to go up to Tahoe so we thought we'd grab some girlfriends and do brunch. We had eaten at this restaurant several years prior a couple times but hadn't been back since. Good experiences in the past so I suggested we come here. Made reservations via the website for next day unsure if they are needed when we got there there were two other couples eating. My sis and I took the bench seating and my friends had chairs which they noted were not the most comfortable. Javier was a good server greeted us bringing us drinks I had a hot chocolate which was great, of note they don't have oat milk. They also serve only basic drip coffee no lattes. There's a wide range of flavors for mimosas but we chose mango and we all liked them. Their menu looks delicious. Three of us however chose avocado toast, which itself is fairly affordable. It comes with radishes and balsamic and a couple other toppings that I pass on, adding an egg was 3.50 ouch and adding "candied bacon" was 4.50$ eeek, our fourth lady got the French toast. Javier asked me if Olive oil was okay which I appreciated and agreed it was; however upon eating my eggs and toast it was doused in olive oil like way too much and threw the taste off. I still liked my toast and eggs but the eggs and bacon came on the side not on top of toast which I guess I sort of expected and you can always make it that way yourself. I have to say, this was not bacon. This was just porky belly which is not in the least bit appealing to any of us. So that was definitely misleading on the menu and I think it needs to be changed especially for that price. Overall a decent experience and would consider returning when in the area. Of note, This review was in my drafts and is a late post from January 2025.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service, and great drinks Best burgers we've had in a long time.

Yelp
This is one of the best places you can go if you are vegan or just plant-based consumer of some sort because they have clearly marked vegetarian items for you there. Other than that vegetarians are well taken care of. The fried hash with chorizo is probably the best food item I have had in North Lake Tahoe since I've been renting in the area. The bartender was also our food server, and we of course, indulged in some of their craft cocktails. Those are not to be missed if you can afford to have one as they're not cheap. The one disappointment for me was that their storied Bloody Mary could not be made vegetarian. The mixture is premade and It uses Worsteshire sauce which has anchovies in it! Yuck! The venue is easy to miss as you drive by, but there's actually plenty of parking in the free garage just behind them. Be careful cause the uphill walk can be icy. !!

Yelp
We've been coming to Sage Leaf since it opened. Note that the space is small, but you can sit at the bar and there are some tables in the atrium next to the Korean chicken wings shop. In the warmer months, there are outside tables, too, but they are not dog friendly. Our first experience ever was brunch at the bar. Everything was terrific, from the service to the thick bacon. More recently, just before the holidays, we found the vegan soup that came with the pastrami sandwich was full of stringy leek pieces and didn't taste quite right. The sandwich's ratio of bread to fillings was off, and the coffee wasn't hot. The fries were the hit of the day, but the dipping sauce was much too watered down. So when a friend suggested we meet there for lunch today, I had my reservations. Luckily, things have improved over the last few months. My friend ordered the pastrami sandwich on a gluten-free bun (still way too much bread) but subbed out the potato-leek soup for a side salad instead. I started with the gin pear drink and saw a nearby table had ordered the chicken bowl, so on our server's recommendation, I tried that. Compliments to the chef! This "bowl" has a rice base with spinach, tomato, garbanzo beans, some grilled chicken with great flavor, all topped with avocado mash and some delicious sauces. Definitely count that as a win! They close at 2 p.m., but we never felt rushed despite leaving about 10 minutes before closing. They also serve breakfast/brunch with the lunch menu, so if you're craving eggs, that's an option even in the afternoon.

Yelp
Cutest place, such a difference when you're inside! Delicious breakfast, and great, sweet service. Can't wait to try dinner with that cocktail menu when we're back next month!!

Yelp
After a beautiful bike ride on the Tahoe East Trail we were famished. Lucky for us, Sage Leaf was located right next to Vista Trail Bikes. We were seated at a table on the shaded patio, perfect for the summer weather. Service was very good as the entire waitstaff took care of all our needs. The food was great, brunch and lunch were available as well as a nice cocktail selection. The house made sage and cheddar biscuits were fluffy inside with a nice toasty finish on the outside, served with smoked Gouda gravy. The two covered biscuits were accompanied by two sunny side eggs and two asparagus spears with balsamic glaze. We all thought that the asparagus seemed a bit odd with the dish but ultimately the chef knew what he was doing. Give Sage Leaf a try, it will not disappoint. Check your receipt, as when we got home we realized we were overcharged.

Yelp
July 2025: We're locals now and find Sage Leaf to have one of the best and consistently good brunch/breakfasts in town.

Yelp
Delicious...there were three of us and we all were truly impressed with both the meal and the service

Yelp
I've had both a breakfast and dinner here and both were great experiences! My most recent one was breakfast and it was amazing. The service is good and friendly (it wasn't totally quick, but we had a larger group so no worries there). We all sat out on the patio and it was gorgeous out there in the late morning, a great overall vibe. It feels fresh and clean inside and the food gives that vibe as well. The mountain breakfast was delicious - sausage was perfect, the cheesy hash-browns were as good as they sound and the biscuit was homemade and SO good! We ordered a French toast for the table so we could all try and we weren't let down, amazing as well! This is a great, reliable spot (in my opinion, the food in the area is weak, but Sage Leaf has proven to be a solid option). I'll be back!

Yelp
Got the pastrami burger, chicken thigh bowl, and the bolognese for entrees, and got the biscuit and skewers for sides. Everything was so good, and I'd get it all again. The chicken thigh bowl was a healthier item with spinach and quinoa, but still lots of great flavor with guacamole. The bolognese was creamier than the typical bolognese but still very good. The biscuit was so good with honey and butter. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than expected but everything was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
This restaurant is next to the Korean chicken wing spot. It was not really a wine bar. They have a lot of wines on the menu but there's no wine flights here. The menu was short and has mainly brunch food. The side dishes such as the candy bacons were chunky and delicious. It was more like fried pork, the duck fat fries were also delicious. The burger was Ok, the corn beef hash was Ok as well, The whole dish was begging for some spices or seasoning. The Bloody Mary was a little water down and bland tasting. The 22% gratuity was not expected. Overall the food was ok. The server was only present on the first half of our brunch.
google avatar

Yelp
TL DR: Great brunch/lunch place after hiking in Incline. Food: Nice selection of food items from traditional breakfast, to lunch, to snacks. Vegetarian options and many items are lactose friendly. Opted for the chicken thighs quinoa bowl. It was delicious, that avocado aioli really brought everything together. Accompanying vegetables were super fresh. Service: It was busy, elite tip show up early! We waited about 25 minutes for our table. Ended up being seated at the bar. We were attended to, and had our questions answered. Friendly bartender and staff, service was great! Ambiance: Restaurant was dark but the bar was clean, utensils were also clean. Decor was simple and nice. Complete bar for those that drink. Prices are comparative with other establishments at incline. Most lunch and brunch entrees are ~$20. Comparable to other restaurant in Incline. But more expensive than Reno.

Yelp
Lovely lunch with my friend. Arrived on a sat at 1 pm. Snagged the last table on the patio. Perfect weather and chill vibes. Delicious food and great drinks. I wanted to try this place because everytime I went to Starbucks it's always very busy. Really enjoyed our meal!! The only complaint is the parking. There was no parking. I came in the restaurant the waitress said there's a parking garage if you go around the street back of the restaurant.

Yelp
GOOD RESTAURANT FOR LUNCH IN INCLINE VILLAGE ============================================ My husband and I stopped by for lunch following a six or so mile bike ride nearby in the Tahoe East Shore Trail. They have a good menu. My husband and I both wanted to order their burgers and they were really good. We just asked them to take a few things off. I didn't tell them to take off the bacon, but I did after I received it. It was thick bacon which wasn't my cup of tea. We also did not want an egg on top. We sat on the patio and that was very nice. They have a nice sized parking lot. If you want to rent bikes there is a place right next door.

Yelp
Dinner service happened to restart the day I stopped by Sage Leaf to pickup lunch for takeout upon arriving, so I knew then that I wanted to return for dinner. Although lunch items are on the pricier side for what you get since it is on the smaller/lighter side, it was absolutely delicious, leaving you wanting more. Fast forward one year minus one day later, almost same time, but same place for house made sage and cheddar biscuits, smoked salmon flatbread, Cajun spiced shrimp linguini, and grilled Niman ranch pork chops. Those sage and cheddar biscuits were absolutely amazing that I was tempted to get another order. The cajun spiced shrimp had a medium kick to it and would've liked the shrimp a little more cooked as it was slightly undercooked. Coincidentally, looks like happy hour may have returned the same day we were there for dinner and adding it to my next visit this coming winter especially for those biscuits and flatbread.

Colby K.

Yelp
this was the second best salmon I've ever had, the best crab cake I've ever had, great biscuits and fantastic service. The atmosphere was awesome and cozy with a perfect playlist for my taste 10/10 do recommend.

Yelp
Returned with friends from Roseville & Citrus Heights so they could enjoy one of our favorite restaurants. We started with Melted Snowman Hot Chocolates for all of us. Tahoe Blue French Toast for my husband, the other three of us had Biscuits and gravy with eggs. Corned beef hash dish, and Monte Carlo Sandwich. We all loved our food and appreciated the presentation. Javier was our waiter and he was great. Shane and Lara we love your restaurant. We will Vo Tony to come and introduce new people!
google avatar

Shauna S.

Yelp
We were seated outside at an awesome table. My husband and I shared a yummy creamy tomato soup then I ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and he had a lamb burger. There must have been sage in the soup (which I'm highly allergic to) because I got really sick. Should have known because of the name of the restaurant.

Yelp
Fast service, perfect bacon, crispy potatoes. Everyone in my group loved their various entrees. Keep it up staff!

Yelp
This is my second visit to Sage Leaf and I liked it just as much this time. They close at 2:00 and I was that customer that shows up at 1:50 while traveling. They were so accommodating. I had a great pastrami sandwich and some fabulous butternut squash soup. Definitely will come again!

Yelp
Sage Leaf was a bit of a mixed bag for us. The service and wine selection were a highlight but the food wasn't what we expected. To start, we ordered the Cheddar Biscuits. These were pretty basic baked biscuits with butter and seasonal jam. Not much cheddar flavor. Ok but nothing special. For our entrees, one of us got the Dry Aged Flatiron steak. The steak itself was good - flavorful and in a great sauce - but it was barely the listed 6oz size. It came with a large serving of old bay and truffle season fries which were quite good. We also got the Spaghetti Carbonara. The noodles were way too al-dente and the sauce was really lacking flavor. Even after seasoning with salt and pepper it didn't taste like much. I would certainly avoid this dish. Our waitress did remove this from our bill which was appreciated.

Yelp
Decided to try this place while we were in Tahoe for a few days and it was pretty good. The breakfast platter was delicious and came with the option of cheesy potatoes which was a plus! Bacon was nice and crispy. The Huevos rancheros, I was very hesitant about because I know it's not an authentic place for them to be sold but wanted to try it out and I was actually impressed. Coming from someone who can make them from scratch it wasn't to shabby. Id rate it a 3.5/5. The egg was a little too runny for my liking so next time I'll remember to ask them to cook the egg a little longer if we go again. The service was fine, the lady greeted us and took our order. And lastly, the place looked small and intimate but we took our order to go so wasn't sure how the experience is for dine in but it looked clean and set up nice.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Lamb burger was excellent. Juicy and great flavor. I have also had the pastrami burger which is also very good. I have heard great things about their brunch also. Best burger in Incline in my opinion and decent price for the area.
google avatar

Yiqiu W.

Yelp
Ordered brunch togo online for this place because we called in for an order and front desk just put us on hold forever while talking to other people at the restaurant. We got corn beef hash and mushroom scramble. The beef is very salty and the scramble portion is so small for 19 dollar and it tastes weird with the brie on the top.
google avatar

Yelp
Grrrrreat Sunday Brunch‼ Excellent seating and service at the bar while crowds waited in line for tables I had a corned beef - poached egg hash - but they creatively substituted tender brisket for the corned beef ! Great home-fried potatoes. I was a happy Tahoe camper. Meanwhile the bartender wooed the crowd with exotic mixology drinks! It was really fun!

Yelp
We waited nearly 30 minutes for food even though the restaurant wasn't busy, and our server never mentioned any kind of kitchen delay. Eventually I went to the hostess to explain we had a hungry child and asked if they could bring out anything at all--no luck. When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The Brussels sprouts were overwhelmed with acid and had hardly any bacon. The fries were lukewarm on arrival, turning cold within minutes, and they seemed like the scraps from the bottom of the bag--each one barely an inch long. Overall, a frustrating and underwhelming experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I would definitely go back and try breakfast. There is a covered patio with heaters. I forgot to add the server was also wine knowledgeable.

Excellent Cuisine, Great service, Great atmosphere. Ordered off of the appetizer menu and were totally satisfied. Great drinks also, we will be back again and again!

Yelp
My daughter took me to Sage Leaf for Father's Day. The service was exceptional, plates and glasses were cleared as soon as we were done with them, the staff was friendly and helpful.... Serving portions are just right, not too big, not too small. I had the not so traditional Huevos Rancheros, my daughter had the Eggs Benedict, and my wife had the Spring Conchiglie Pasta. All of them were very good and fresh.
google avatar

Talisa A.

Yelp
My partner and I stopped by Sage Leaf for brunch before getting a massage. I got a delicious and spicy bloody mary, and my companion ordered an Irish coffee, which he enjoyed. For breakfast, I (enthusiastically) scarfed down the Tahoe Blue French Toast, made with sourdough bread and a lovely Meyer lemon jam? Whatever it was, it was divine. The hostess was super sweet and led us to our seats right away. Our server was super attentive and energetic. I definitely recommend this spot! Super cozy on a stormy winter day.

Yelp
Open Tables- Never seated! Absolute awful service, came in to have with our family, arrived for breakfast hostess said it was going to be 20 minute wait unless we wanted to be seated outdoors, (Lake Tahoe is sunny 46degree temperature in June ) so we opted out for indoors. While we waited 30 minutes later we noticed parties of 4, 5 and 6 were being seated indoors and outdoors. We asked several times on the status of being seated granted it's been 45minutes of waiting. We ended up asking for a manger at this point thinking perhaps they can arrange for 2 empty tables to accommodate us. (Party of 6) The bartender said there was no manager duty and walked over to the hostess. After an hour of waiting and watching other family's and parties be seated we left. Extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Tourist-frequented towns are hit or misses for me food-wise. The sheer volume of tourists and lack of restaurants can often result in quality degradation and sky high prices. Sage Leaf, a hidden gem, is one exception: dishing out delicious brunch fare at a pretty reasonable price. We ordered a few dishes to share, and all were fairly good. The mountain breakfast is ur run-of-the-mill breakfast plate; it comes with eggs, crispy bacon, and a side of potatoes with a cheddar biscuit to top it all off. You get what you expect with this one, just standard breakfast food. The biscuit would be better, hadn't it been burnt and dry on the inside. The French toast was spectacular though with the whipped cream side being just sweet enough to contrast the tart berry compote it came with. The portion was a little small -- my dad even joking that it was a "French toast for ants." I have a small appetite but even I'd have appreciated a larger portion size in lieu of the Zoolander-inspired joke. The chicken bowl was exactly what you'd want in such a healthy dish. The marinated chicken was a tad too salty, but it was fresh and tasty otherwise. I doubt you'll find much better in Incline Village. If I'm in North Tahoe, I might come again!

Yelp
This was the best dinner of our entire stay in Tahoe! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server Nikola was outstanding - he recommended some amazing dishes, and we loved every single one of them. Excellent service and incredible food - we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
What a fun spot in a convenient location in North Lake Tahoe. I came here with a fairly large group (8 people) before a nice bike ride, and this place had options that everybody likes, and everybody was very satisfied with their meals. On the patio, they only had tables for 4 people, so they accommodated by having the two tables next to each other. The one upgrade that i would note is they do not have espresso (so no lattes), but they do have drip coffee and iced coffee. Overall this is A very yummy spot for breakfast and lunch

Yelp
We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. The restaurant is fairly small and cozy. We ordered drinks and they were so good! I wanted to eat light and opted for soup and salad. The soup was a cauliflower soup and it was yummy. My salad was excellent. My husband had the steak frites and he said they were excellent. We looked at the dessert menu but decided to finish with some after dinner drinks. My husband had the melted snowman and I had the Irish coffee. Both were excellent. We can't wait to return and come for brunch!! This restaurant will definitely be a must every time we return to Incline!

Yelp
Sage Leaf was the perfect off property lunch spot that we delighted in as we explored the cute shops and breweries of Incline Village! We lucked out coming here on the sunniest day and enjoyed our meal on their peaceful outdoor patio. The pastrami and cheese sandwich may look simple but it was truly out of this would. No picture can do the cheese pull justice! We ordered the hand-cut duck fat fried steak fries and these were some of the best steak fries we've had. The Old Bay seasoning was chef's kiss and paired perfectly with the truffle aioli. Pro tip is to use their house made hot sauces to make a spicy ketchup! They had a great local beer selection as well and I 10/10 recommend Fifty Fifty Brewing Co. Pilz. The service was fast and efficient. It's no wonder why this spot was recommended to us by so many locals!

Yelp
Delicious food, quick and friendly service. Not so much of a fan of the seating in the 'hallway' but the food makes up for it!

Loved that they offer a vegan dish that's not just a salad. It was delicious. Our drinks were great too. Small but quaint and nice restaurant. Our server even helped to offer recommendations for other places to try in the area.

Yelp
Decided to come here for dinner last night. Made reservations for 6:30 (only about an hour earlier) & glad we did, because tables filled up. We love the use of space. We had a nice table outside on a covered patio. Our server got real busy real fast. He seemed frazzled, but he was upbeat & great at the table. Drinks were slow to the table. We got three appetizers. The biscuits were fluffy and so good. Our favorite appetizer. The scallops weren't good or bad. I just don't think all flavors blended the way I would have wanted. The shrimp skewers were fine, but the highlight was the grit cake with sauce. So good. We both had our eyes set on the pastrami burger. The flavor was so good. The burger patty itself had amazing flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy. I wanted to try the tomato soup, I wouldn't recommend, I've just had better. The appetizers came out timely, but it took a while to get our main order in, and following, also took a while to receive our mains after we ordered. I did ask for the soup to come out first, it did not. That's okay, a simple mistake. Not a deal breaker, the vibes stayed good. I wouldn't go if I wanted to be in and out. But the food was great quality and something worth craving. We would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant with great ingredients. Located in North Tahoe. We had breakfast here FOOD 5/5: -Cauliflower soup: this reminds me of a Thai soup because of the strong coconut milk. It was good. -Bacon chipotle Benedict: sub the ham with bacon, because the bacon appears homemade. Thick slices and nice crunch. Love this entree so much. DRINK: 5/5: blood Mary: bomb, came with celery, olive & pepper! Almost like an appetizer :)

Yelp
Note: multiple reviews! **Brunch** I initially came here a few months back for brunch, and really enjoyed it! I got the chipotle egg's Benedict and it was very good! Nice amount of flavor, and the bacon was very tasty! I really enjoyed this whole entree and would rate it an 8/10. **Dinner** However, I recently came back for dinner, and it was a vastly inferior experience. The pork belly immediately jumped out to me and I knew I wanted to order that. We also got the short rib and the squash penne pasta. All of these were extremely disappointing. It also cost $80! I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. This wasn't worth $40 let alone $80. Dinner as a whole was a 1/10. As you can see by the pictures, the presentation in the to-go boxes was very lackluster and even unappetizing. I was very careful to not shake the bag either, so this is how it looked when we got it. That's incredibly disappointing and we really got off on the wrong foot. The pork belly had FOUR SMALL PIECES of pork belly for $15! That is absurd. The flavor was decent, but this dish was incredibly disappointing due to the scant portion size. The pasta was actually okay, but again not worth the cost of the dish. This was easily the best part of the entire meal, and it was entirely mediocre at best. The flavor didn't really jump out at you much. Lastly, the short rib was awful. The meat was cooked well and it was very tender. However, this may have been the single most bland piece of meat I have ever tasted in my life!! It legitimately had no flavor whatsoever. Incredibly disappointing. The potatoes on the side were forgettable, but easily the star of the dish--think about that! Im sorry to be blunt, but this entree was legitimately awful and I would genuinely not recommend anyone order it. Again, the dinner was some of the worst and most forgettable food I have ever had. When you once again consider that this meal cost me $80, I am appalled at the quality we received. Im sorry but I will not ever be returning to Sage Leaf for dinner OR brunch as I feel that there are much better options within Incline Village. ******* In conclusion, the brunch I had was very good--8/10. The dinner however was terrible in my opinion--1/10. Would not recommend whatsoever.
