"We ordered dinner from Sage Thai, which is nearby, and I walked to go pick it up. Pad see ew with tofu and extra vegetables, and green curry with tofu and extra vegetables. Normal order. "

Oh my god, let me not say that cause I’m agonistic. I mean heeebie jeeebus, this food is busing out the pants just to eat ya good. The shrimp dumplings were hot but hot enough to burn it’s love into my heart. The chicken skewers with that peanut butter sauce made me feel like I was moonwalking in callabasses. The pad Thai and spicy fried rice done made me do the Bruno mars on em, then usher your girl out the door. Good food 10/10

Went Sunday night @ 6:30, no reservation, and was seated right away. I like the atmosphere, clean and bright. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Water was refilled every time it got half full. I had the Tom yum seafood special. Spice was good. Squid was a little tough, but the shrimp and scallops were good. Came with white rice, which was ok. The star of the night was the peanut old fashioned, I highly recommend it.

Wow, this place is beautiful and affordable. I can’t say anything bad. Maybe the spring rolls are a bit small🤷🏻‍♀️ but it’s gorgeous and there’s a garden area and there’s a bar. Great for a lunch with colleagues or a date. Def wanna try again when in the area

Sometimes I go here with my partner after her yoga class. I love it here: they play live jazz (at least Saturday nights), it’s not super crowded and your food is out less than 7 min after you order it. The Vegan Pad Thai and Vegan fried rice are absolutely delicious. Always hard to finish my plate because they give you lots of food. Cheap, delish, vibes… what else could you ask for? (Look at the third picture for answer)

I liked the atmosphere and the food was good! My friend and I ordered the chive spinach dumplings and we liked them, they were very mild… we did wish there were more than 4 on the plate though. I ordered the layout seafood glass noodle and it was good, the calamari was a bit tough but aside from that the flavor was good. My friend got the drunken noodles with fried tofu (not pictured) and that was very good! They described it as having the perfect amount of spice. We also got the pink panther cocktail which was nice. Would recommend.

So my brother had the Grilled Salmon and jumbo shrimp and salmon entree only 2 shrimp were there. BOO. He also had the crab cake. There was no crab just cake. My cousin couldn't finish her big fish so she took it to go. However they suggest she put her bare fish in a PLASTIC BAG. They didn't have a large enough container. It taste good tho.

Google
IMO, it’s thee Thai restaurant to get delivery from in this area. We found ourselves wanting Thai food and decided to dine-in here instead of ordering off Seamless. Quite similar portion sizing as to delivery and flavors tasted exactly the same. One of the best green curry’s in Brooklyn in my opinion. Delicious Pad See Ew as well. A small house soup and popcorn shrimp to start, both good. The shrimp is tossed with a chili aioli. The soup is a clear broth veggie stock with glass noodles. The restaurant has a modern feel but as if it were designed in a poorly made gentrified building, so not date night friendly. More like, a group of friends wanting to go out for dinner but not spend a bunch of $, which is totally fine. 2 starters and 2 mains for under $50 (before T&T) is lovely.

Google
Initially I just came to this place because it was named Sage, in Brooklyn and the logo was an elephant. My name is Sage, I live in Brooklyn and my favorite animal is an elephant. I ordered multiple appetizers and a Thai tea. The tea was the start of the show and unfortunately my chicken skewers were all raw in the middle. I didn’t complain because I took 2 of their cups as souvenirs. I do have hope that some of their other dishes might be better but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back.

Yelp
For a cold day like today, this is my new Go-To place if i'm in Williamsburg for a nice cozy meal like their Red Curry with chicken (a bit on the spicy side, nonetheless delicious)! They offer a great happy hour menu from 4-6pm that includes a side and an appetizer along with your entree. If I wasn't so full after my meal, I would've ordered some dessert as the menu looked divine! Fresh ingredients & every dish surpassed my expectations, I will be back!

Yelp
First meal out of the new year! What a great choice. Sage wasn't planned, it was there and open but sometimes chance works out better than intent! The atmosphere is really nice, open and airy. All three of the serving staff won the contest for "most helpful" with a minor in "most charming" The menu had lots of good choices, for Veg and GF. My vegan fried rice was a safe choice but when I bit into it, I was simply amazed - this was spectacular! New regular spot! Don't change a thing

Yelp
I recently visited Sage in Brooklyn and was not very happy. I've been here a while back and loved it but this time was different. The ambiance was fantastic, with live music and a great outdoor seating area that would be perfect on a warm evening. Their Thai tea is still one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. The Thai calamari was excessively greasy, and the pad thai beef was a major disappointment - it smelled off and tasted even worse. I couldn't finish it. However, the larb wings were a bright spot, as they were flavorful and enjoyable. On the other hand the service was great. The waitress was nice and attentive, making sure we had what we needed. Given my past positive experience, I'm torn about whether to give Sage another chance. The disappointing food has left me unsure if I'll return, despite my love for their Thai tea. I would recommend tryng the larb wings and Thai tea, but approach other dishes with caution.

Yelp
This place was great! We got in right away, the food was pretty tasty and I enjoyed every single second of them. The service was pretty nice, super attentive and nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Wow! Really really great food here off of a beautiful menu. We started with Thai Meatballs ($6), which were absolutely delicious, followed by Spicy Chicken Wings ($9) which aren't too hot and have a wonderful combination rub & sauce which is pretty addictive, and Pork & Shimp Dumplings ($8) which were also fantastic. We all got the Drunken Noodles with Beef ($14) as our main course and were very happy. My son and his girlfriend come here often because the food is so consistently outstanding. I found the service to be quick, friendly, responsive and professional. This is a terrific restaurant on one of Brooklyn's great neighborhood streets.

Yelp
Came here with my family. Made a reservation online but when we showed up they said they didn't have our reservation even though I had the confirmation text. No server came up to us for like 25 minutes. Once someone came up to us our server was very nice and attentive. I love lychee so I wish the drink had more lychee flavor in it. Drink was okay. The food was good nothing crazy though. My favorite dish we got was definitely the Bangkok skirt steak. And the fried rice with sausage.

Yelp
This Thai place is very fancy and I've did both dine in and takeout from SAGE. The place is quite huge and very classy with windows that are opened to the public on a nice day. The place is decorated with these nice willow branches that make the place look more lovely than ever. Also they play music on certain days and have some events in the restaurant where you have to look at their schedule on their website. Recently I think their prices are kind of high. I ordered the Sage Fried Rice and it was $10 for the base and extra $5 for a side of chicken, making it $15! More expensive than other Thai places which a Thai fried rice is probably cheaper than $15! The plate was fresh though and they were very generous with their portions. Only two slices of cucumber, a lime wedge, and lots of onions in the fried rice. Kind of oily and rice was cooked to the right temperature. I also ordered a Thai iced tea and it came mixed and it was $4, which was okay pricing. Not too sugary and I felt like it was very little in the cup it came in. The cup was half filled with ice and the Thai iced tea wasn't all the way to the top of the cup. Finished it really fast and didn't get to enjoy it slowly.

Yelp
Pretty average Thai food, definitely had better. That being said, their prices are great! The pad Thai chicken was pretty decent, can't really go wrong with that. However, my drunken noodles were pretty bland. VERYYY spicy though so not for the weak but that was the only flavor really. It could've benefited from more sauce for sure. Overall pretty average but good ambiance (live music) if you're looking for a "nicer" Thai restaurant.

Rosalia M.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Placed an order for $56 that arrived missing our 2 Thai Iced Teas. Drove over to pick them up figuring they forgot them and was told no we had to pay for another 2 drinks because they gave them to the delivery guy. They lost a good customer over $9. Good job Sage! Nice way to treat a loyal customer Plenty of authentic Thai food places in Williamsburg that I can give my money to.

Yelp
Go-to Thai food near me. Food never takes too long, I like their desserts, and have even come for brunch. Cocktails are also good!
google avatar

Duane H.

Yelp
Ambiance is relaxed, average loudness. There is a sexy, cocktail side if you needed a more intimate setting. I stayed on the "family" side. Weather permitting, there is tons of outside seating. Service was pretty quick and efficient. They do serve my favorite beer, Flower Power.
google avatar

Yelp
To start off Father's Day weekend treated my husband to lunch at Sage and it was definitely great experience the food and ambiance was great. As soon as we got there the waitress was very attentive and made sure our drinks and appetizers came out without a long wait time which is great service in my book. The foods presentation was on point. We actual had Thai food the night before and when comparing the presentation Sage definitely adding the plate structure the best. If you are in the Williamsburg/green point area check out Sage.

Yelp
The food was incredible, Service was first-class, and the decor was attractive! Must haves: Chocolate Baby Back Ribs & the Spinach Cheese Puffs! We also loved the Bangkok Skirt Steak, Jungle Curry, & Pad See Ew. We ended the evening with Thai Ice Tea Creme Brulee! Unbelievable! The Service was some of the best ever: always checking in on us, pleasant to talk with, and quick to take care of clearing dishes or filling up the water glass! I traveled six miles to get there & will again so if you're in, or out, of the neighborhood, this is a must go!

Yelp
You can't beat the location or the outdoor space and some very tasty bites with some great drinks! Came here on a double and getting an outdoor spot on a Sunday was no problem. I got a spicy margarita and it was very good! It wasn't too spicy but had great flavors! We decided to split the appetizer sampler and some of the beef gyoza on special. The gyoza was very good and fried perfectly. The app sampler had a lot of great bites! The springs rolls are really tasty, the chicken dumplings were tasty and the curry puffs were a highlight. I loved the trio of dipping sauces - big sauce guy! I decided to go with the Sage noodles with fried tofu. The portion was great and the fried tofu was well done, the actual flavor was a bit lacking. The person that delivered our meal really looked and acted like they didn't want to be there and like it was an imposition to bring our food out? So I hesitated to ask for sriracha, which would have greatly improved the dish. Our regular server was great! Very nice and attentive but practically spiceless and bland Thai food should at least have the option to either make it spicier or have Sriracha on every table. Would come back though! Great vibes, great seating situation, and I might just get 5 orders of the curry puffs.

Yelp
The ambiance and atmosphere of this place are always perfect for me. While the appetizers are just okay, the half duck with vegetables is amazing. If you visit in the summer, ask for seating in the backyard--it's truly beautiful. Just be aware of mosquitoes. The staff even offers a can of bug spray as soon as you sit down. They didn't bother me, but my friend had some issues. I tried an amazing drink called the strawberry frosé, which tasted like a really good frozen margarita. I loved it so much that I ordered another right after finishing the first one in seconds. It's a great place for drinks, good chats, quiet nights, and tasty beverages.

Yelp
I recently tried Sage Thai Food and ordered two servings of shrimp dumplings along with Thai iced tea. The dumplings were flavorful and generously filled, making for a satisfying meal. Paired with the refreshing and perfectly sweetened Thai iced tea, it was a filling and delightful experience.
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
Sage is some of the best Thai food you'll have in NYC! The portions are generous , the flavors are wonderful, and the menu is diverse! Solid service as well. Oh! They have lunch specials and an early bird special! Solid Williamsburg spot!
google avatar

Cam C.

Yelp
I loved this place. We got the pad see ew and pineapple fried rice as our mains and it was so tasty! For the app we tried their sampler and I just couldn't pick a favorite. I got peanut sauce on the side and dipped everything in there too. I also had an espresso martini before hand and it was lovely. Could be a little stronger but delish nonetheless. The staff is super super friendly and the ambience itself is almost ethereal! Super cute date spot. 10/10 recommend.

Jillian S.

Yelp
The Sage Noodles were really good, we added hot sauce to ours and it gave the perfect touch. We also got appetizers, including the shrimp summer rolls, chive cakes and beef gyoza (the special). Would come back again!

Yelp
Looking for a nice, spacious vibe for your next outing with friends, a first date or even a solo dine? Sage is definitely the spot for any of the above. Their food and drink menu leaves something for everyone and the flavors definitely do not disappoint. The only thing I have to note is in my recent experience here, I did end up waiting a long time for one of my food items - an appetizer that I received after my main course and thus had to send it back - and when it came to getting the check let's just say they let us linger and linger and linger lol. If you're not pressed on time and if you want some good Thai eats - any of their duck dishes knock it right out of the park - Spice is for you!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Thai place in the area. Massaman curry is always what I use to gauge how good a Thai place is and this place delivers. Compared to other places I will say not as spicy. Probably just accommodating the people in the area. Anyways worth going to!

Dolores R.

Yelp
We ordered from one of our favorite restaurants, Sage, on Graham Avenue. What a great selection we had , the food was amazing, as usual.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Okay someone has to tell me where are the best thai food in brooklyn cause I ordered pad see ew here and it was the best in my life (outside of thailand). I'm surprised this place doesn't have more stars?? If this is the nyc standard, I really wanna know what I've been missing out on
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
Probably my favorite massaman curry I've ever had! It was so delicious, and just what I needed on an (unexpectedly) snowy day. There was a generous helping of chicken, something I always appreciate. They also topped it with crunchy egg noodles, which I've never had with curry before. It added so much texture and made the dish really dynamic. The curry was perfectly rich, creamy, and flavorful. The spice was at a good level, a slow burn, but it adds up! The only qualm I had is that it took our food a long time to come out. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy while we were there, so I'm not sure why it took so long. Everything else was amazing, though!
google avatar

Trina P.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Sage because we heard a lot of hype about the restaurant. While the ambiance and service were great, we weren't very impressed with the food. I ordered the crab fried rice which was reasonably priced and came with decent amount of crab. The rice, however, was pretty disappointing because it was under seasoned and tasted like plain rice tossed with some crab and veggies. I had been excited to try Sage, but I was disappointed by the food and probably won't be going back.

Katie V.

Yelp
really good massuman curry and their curry puffs are delicious! the puffs are on the softer side (not super crispy) but mightve been because I've only tried on takeout. still very delicious overall! good portions too

Kendall G.

Yelp
Very average Thai food. Portions are ok. Consistently really light on the protein. Like if you get Pad Thai with chicken, there's like 4 tiny pieces. Typically have had a better experience dining in rather than take out.
google avatar

Maya F.

Yelp
Came here on a date and the service was perfect. The restaurant was relatively empty for a Thursday night, no reservation needed. The food was tasty as were the drinks. Not too expensive and will likely be back again at least for takeout.
google avatar

Shaima C.

Yelp
My husband and I have been trying to find a good Thai spot for a while, we decided to check this spot out. We placed the order via ubereats , delivery took about an hour. We decided to get the chicken pad Thai , spice level mild, and it was great! It was flavorful and had a good amount of chicken. We also ended up getting the massaman curry, spice level Thai spicy, holy moly this was spicy! Next time I think we'll be sticking to spicy. But the curry was flavorful and delicious. And we obviously had to get the Thai ice tea , which is hands down amazing. We will definitely order from this spot again! For all these negative reviews, most of the them are a reflection on service and not the food. But it seems like they can be either a hit or miss.
google avatar

Nicholas G.

Yelp
This is maybe the only sub-average Thai food I've ever had and I've had a lot of Thai food. I ordered it online so I'm surprised to see it's a restaurant with ambiance and decor because the food sucks so much. I got the only bland and chicken pad Thai I've ever eaten. My partner got the most disappointing Tom Yum fried rice she's ever had. The spring rolls were ok but not particularly special. I didn't know fucking up Thai food was even possible because I'd never seen it done before.
google avatar

Kendrick G.

Yelp
A spacious and chill Thai restaurant in the Williamsburg, Brooklyn section that has a large menu of traditional & new dishes. There's a full bar, big interior, large outdoor seating area and a garden seating. I had a doctor's appointment nearby at 2 pm and I was able to make it here for their inexpensive lunch special which ended at 4 pm. The lunch special is $10 to $11 and includes an appetizer and an entree. There's quite a few options to choose from off this pocket-friendly menu. I chose the Thai meatballs for my appetizer and the Chicken Pad See Ew for my entree. The meatballs were delicious! You only get two but they were a nice size, juicy and on a bed of chili garlic sauce. The chili garlic sauce was nice and spicy and the perfect compliment to the meatballs. My entree came out shortly thereafter and it was one of the best Pad See Ew I have ever tasted. Definitely top three in my book! You can tell they put lots of love and attention into the food, amongst other things. I look forward to returning to try other menu items. Sidenote: If you're not able to catch the lunch special by 4 pm, don't worry! They have an early bird menu from 4 to 6 pm that includes an appetizer, soup or salad, and an entree. Cost: $15 to $16. A great deal and pretty much includes all the items offered for lunch specials.
google avatar

Tyler S.

Yelp
Ordered pad Thai with chicken and vegetables (paid extra). Not only did Postmates delay the delivery, the food when it arrived was vile, too fishy, literally ZERO chicken, and 2 broccoli's. I mean come on you think paying customers want 96% noodle and 2% meat and 1% veggies... the other 1% is for all the other poor customers that received this sad service and quality. They didn't even put peanuts on top.. Tl/dr : get pad thai somewhere else

Maddy S.

Yelp
delicious and great vibes. i got the espresso martini and it was yummy. i got tom kha with chicken and it was coconut yummy goodness. there was a live band playing at the perfect volume. great for a date night or with friends. server was also very kind!
google avatar

Kalia M.

Yelp
Curry puffs are significantly worse than they used to be. Everything else is good. But the curry puffs! What happened ):
google avatar

Cathy D.

Yelp
I love Sage. They have the best lunch specials in east Williamsburg and are still delivering during the pandemic. Their orders always arrive quicker than any other place I've ordered delivery from. My Go To lunch order is the Sage Fried Rice with either chicken or fried tofu with Vegetable Spring Rolls. Because the lunch specials are so affordable, I tend to either get extra protein or instead of extra protein I get a second lunch special and then eat one for dinner! They're so affordable at $9 each! ($11 with extra protein) I'm so grateful this restaurant remains open while I work from home and need a break from cooking three meals a day. Thank you, Sage.
google avatar

Nicholas C.

Yelp
This is my go to take out Thai spot in the east Williamsburg area. It's all the things I love about Thai - fast, cheap, and plentiful! My friend and I ordered from here last night and we had no issues getting our order in under 20 minutes. The portions are always gracious and the flavors are great too. I haven't had the chance to dine in here but take out is always a great option!
google avatar

Paulina L.

Yelp
Ordered drunken noodles and a Thai iced tea. Also got calari appetizers for the table, and the tamarind sauce that comes with it is very yummy, would recommend! Drunken noodles were great and so was the Thai tea. Great place if you have a Thai craving.

Monica V.

Yelp
The ambience was lovely, and clean. The food was good and the service was friendly. I will definitely return

Yelp
When Miss Thailand fell out of my good graces for having inconsistencies and just "meh" food, a fellow coworker had only one word as his mantra, "Sage." He comes here twice a week and can't say enough about the menu. Fast forward to today, and my two coworkers and I set out for our first Thai lunch at Sage. Upon entering, the space is really clean and simple. The subway tiles on the wall are a staple for the area, and the mirrors tilted on the walls make the space feel larger. The sectioned off part of the restaurant for just lunch, but this place is HUGE and must get pretty packed at night. We all ordered from the lunch menu - appetizer and entree of your choice, depending on the meat - was $9-$10. A very reasonable price! I opted for tom kha (I always need to get it, no matter how warm or cold it is outside) which was actually vegetables only. The veggies were extremely fresh and had a lovely crunch to them. The coconut broth had less body then what I would've liked, but I truly enjoyed it. The portion was also exceptionally larger than the "other" place, which is great in my book. Entree was shrimp drunken man noodle, with medium spice. WOW did they mean medium spice! It was really savory and delicious! I got five decent sized shrimp that accompanied the broad noodles with red bell peppers, broccoli, tomato, onions, and thai basil leaves. My coworkers got the pad stir fry, and although they didn't ask to adjust the spice level like I did, they really felt the heat! We returned to the kitchen three empty plates and three empty water glasses. I would definitely bring the hubby to this place for a nice dinner if we were in the area; really great date place!
google avatar

Tabby C.

Yelp
I am so glad I came here!! The lunch special is $9/$10 depending on your protein source, and it includes an appetizer and an entree. The food I ordered was delicious and I am so happy I branched out and tried the Tom yum soup because it was incredible (fyi Thai soups usually always taste amazing). If you're getting the lunch special, I suggest trying one of the soups because they give you a very generous amount. Next time, I would probably get the drunken noodles with the spice on the side instead because it was way too spicy for me ( please note that I specifically told them to make it very spicy). When I tried the non-spicy drunken noodles, I realized that the spice actually took away from some of the entree's flavor. Either way though, it still tasted great. Lastly, the service was amazing. My water cup was never left empty which I appreciate because of how spicy the dish was. I can't wait to come again at night because there's an outdoor garden in the afternoon, and twinkle lights that make the place look super pretty in the dark.
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe there's a new chef, because I've been going to Sage for years now, and I'm always satisfied, but not today! I stopped in for lunch today, ordered the Shrimp Dumplings & Drunken Noodle, both were not good! The dumplings smelled extra fishy & didn't taste good at all. The Drunken Noodle was disappointing, they were so spicy that I could not even eat two bites without needing water, but I get it, it's a spicy dish so I'll give them that, but in all it didn't taste good! I did not finish the food, barely ate it, when the waiter came by & I asked for the check, she's asked if I needed a takeout box, initially I said yes, while she was gone to get it, I took another taste, and just realized it wasn't worth taking as I definitely wasn't going to eat it! The Thai Iced Tea was good but that's about it!!

Yelp
Went to sage yesterday for lunch.. the decor is super cute .. had the sage fried rice added shrimp and pineapples.. he had pineapple fried rice with chicken.. said it was "missing something" and wound up adding teriyaki sauce to it.. we had fried calamari as an app.. could have done without them pouring the sauce over the calamari.. I will say the drinks were strong and the service was pretty good however it isn't a place I need to revisit..
google avatar

Yelp
Great food & stellar service! The ambiance is really nice outside in the pack patio area during the summertime.
google avatar

sunita h.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years, the ambiance is relaxing and beautiful and the service is amazing. The food however has changed I'm not sure if there's a new chef but it used to be a lot more flavorful except for the Thai iced tea it is still very delicious.

Steph C.

Yelp
me and my bf got take out from this place and it was so bad we couldnt even finish our meals. he got the tumeric chicken and I got the drunken noodles with chicken. the tumeric chicken was so dry that the watery curry couldnt even save it. my drunken noodles barely had any chicken in it and two pieces of broccoli. the chicken that was in it was so dry that it broke apart easily. the thai iced tea was watery and a waste of money. overall terrible meal and would not recommend. we asked to sit outside in their outdoor seating area to which they said no to even tho there was so one there. also their garden is closed, so theres really no reason to visit this establishment.
google avatar

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Great spot for Thai in Williamsburg since it's super convenient. However if your looking for quality Thai food this place doesn't taste as authentic but the ambiance and atmosphere is nice for a date.
google avatar

Gabby G.

Yelp
Both meals left something to be desired and the hosts were not the most welcoming. I had this spot on my bucket list for a while after learning about it on social media. I decided to try it on a rainy weekday evening. I ordered the Sage Noodles and the Garlic Sauce Stir Fry. The flavors felt a bit muted and repetitive. I enjoyed our fried spring roll appetizers and the thai tea the most. The wait staff was attentive and kind but the food didn't impress me.
google avatar

Nala G.

Yelp
Food wasn't really good to me and same with the service... i don't think i would come back or recommend pad Thai wasn't really pleasant nor were the "crispy wings" which were not crispy. It's decent ambiance inside though.

Yelp
Thai is honestly my favorite food, and I judge a Thai restaurant based on their Pad Thai. SAGE did not disappoint! I ordered mine extra spicy through DoorDash, and I'm so happy they caught the note! It made my experience 10x better as I love Pad Thai with an extra kick. The lunch menu allows you to have a side. I ordered veggie spring rolls, which were pretty good. They weren't anything out the ordinary, but I certainly enjoyed the side. I will definitely have to come back and visit the restaurant since I ordered delivery. It was pretty quick, though!
