How to have the perfect solo self-care weekend in Singapore - SilverKris

"A new Chinatown bar built around six core cocktails inspired by classic styles (Daiquiri, Highball, Martini, Old Fashioned, etc.) with flavours that rotate weekly; the relaxed ambience includes distinctive couches upholstered from upcycled coffee bean sacks." - Rachel Eva Lim

Last visited in May 2025 This was my first time visiting Sago House at their current location. Had been to their previous Chinatown location a few times. As usual, Sago House has a drinks/cocktail menu which changes every week. For my May 2025 visit, they had a Lady Gaga theme for the menu (since it coincided with the Lady Gaga concerts in SG). The drinks were good, and like always, it’s nice to visit Sago House to try new concoctions. Service is really fantastic here. Kind, polite and helpful staff. There was one drink which we did not like that much and the staff figured that out and gave us a complimentary drink. Do a reservation, esp if you are visiting in weekends as this place can get really crowded due to its popularity. Would always recommend a visit to Sago House for one and all.

Lovely experience at Sago House! Interesting and amazing drinks (the menu is changed every week), friendly staff who explain the current weeks menu to you when you first enter, and a chill laidback atmosphere. Was here to celebrate a graduation and they wrote it down on the table! Thanks so much!

Had a great night at Sago House! Arrived a bit early for our reservation and they accommodated us despite being packed. My brother and I got counter seats, perfect for watching the bartenders work with their electric energy and enthusiasm. The cocktails were impressive - complex and layered. We tried four different ones, with the Concrete Jungle being my favourite - a sour with brown butter that added a nice richness to the drink. The staff's welcoming attitude and the casual atmosphere made the evening special. When it started raining, the manager even gave us ponchos to keep dry - very thoughtful touch. Definitely coming back soon. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite bars in Singapore. Very experimental with new drinks every week. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Very sociable crowd. Atmosphere is on point with their branding, which attracts customers who want to feel the same vibe. Shout out to Hazel, her bright personality is contagious and needed for a bar like this.

Some cocktails were hit-and-miss — the whisky sour was excellent, but the grenadine cinnamon one was overloaded with crushed ice and far too sweet. Unfortunately, both the popcorn chicken and steak were disappointing; they arrived barely lukewarm and tasted as if they’d been reheated rather than freshly cooked.

Visited on a Friday night. Brilliant vibes, fun crew and delicious drinks. Food was hit and miss. Cocktails: Popcorn old fashion - Spectacular. A gentle popcorn flavor in a pretty good old fashion. Sichuan Negroni - Very pleasant. Strawberry notes complemented the bitterness and the kick from sichuan peppercorns. Also had a cocktail with blueberries and lemons. Delicious overall but way too much ice and too little cocktail. Food: The popcorn chicken was bomb but the philly cheesesteak was a soggy, meekly flavored disappointment. Overall, had a great night and will definitely be back for more.

Past two trips to Singapore. A LOT of good cocktail bars. I visited at least 14 over the last three trips. The vibe and drinks at Sago House make it one of my two favorites.

Love the drinks: flying fox, high office and isola bella. Love the vibes and the innovative menu. Among the three, isola Bella is the least strong, followed by flying fox and high office. A nice cocktail bar that I would come back to. Chill and slightly edgy vibe here. No dress code.. I came here wearing jeans on a Friday night. Highly recommend to make a reservation as we saw a queue when we came around 9 pm
