The Best Places to Watch March Madness in Las Vegas, 2025 Edition | Eater Vegas

"The pool setup features a reported 240-foot screen alongside betting stations, cocktails and sports-friendly food. Basic pool entry with an open bar runs about $145 for a 9 a.m.–3 p.m. session, while an all-day open-bar option is about $240. Alternatively, fans can RSVP for free pool access and purchase food and drinks a la carte, making this an easier option for those who prefer to avoid a heavy upfront cost." - Matthew Kang

This was our first time using Sahara Pools to open our pool. They communicated with us from the day I requested to schedule to the day they came. They also were able to fit us into their schedule prior to Memorial Day weekend which is amazing as we were concerned we would have to wait until afterwards. The gentleman that came were very professional and nice, the folded up our cover and spent the time to vacuum the pool. Which I know we paid for but they did an amazing job! We would highly recommend them for any pool service.

I have been using Sahara pools for over 20 years now Oliver and Tom did an outstanding job opening my pool and both men were very professional

I have been working with Sahara Pools for many years on multiple pool projects with my pavingstone contracting business. Sahara Pools has also been taking care of my own personal pool for 6 years now including a new liner, salt conversion, opening, closing & misc. repairs. Every employee if have encountered has been wonderful, including Taylor in the store. Ryan is the absolute man. He always answers my calls and makes sure whatever I need gets done asap. Juan has the cleanest most organized truck in the fleet and that is reflective in his immaculate work. James has been to my pool the most, and always does a great thorough job with opening & closing my pool. And Ollie has helped keep my pool looking great when he returns after my initial pool opening. I highly recommend Sahara Pools.

I recently purchased a new pump motor at Sahara Pools. I was going to try to install it myself. I was given plenty of advice and tips on how to install the motor properly. I thought I was done, so I turned it on. I was very disappointed to have the breaker trip immediately. I tried a couple things with the wiring but could not get the motor working. I called Sahara Pools and spoke to their service manager. We had a lengthy conversation about my situation. The service manager thought that I probably put one of the red wires on the wrong connector. After another look, I found another connector that was difficult to see. I switched the wire and was happy to hear the pump start working. I am very grateful to the staff at Sahara Pool for making it possible for me to successfully replace the pump motor myself. They did everything possible to help me!

Sahara has been servicing our pool since 2008. They open and close it. Never have a problem. When I have an issue I log on to website report what’s going on and they come out and fix it promptly. And I mean promptly. Ryan is like a family member we see him all the time. He lays out the issue for you explains what needs to be done and if you do what he says the problem is solved. This year we replaced our liner and Sahara did it. Pricing very reasonable. Quality and look of new liner outstanding. Carlos came out with two guys and it was done in a day. They did a great job. They cleaned my steps and they look like new. Anyway thank you Sahara a pool can be a pain but you all make it easy.

My first experience with Sahara Pools. I was very impressed. The technician named Oliver and his assistant were excellent, completing our pool open ing quickly and efficiently. Oliver spent extra time freeing a stuck motor. Something I didn’t expect. All in all a great experience. Thanks again.

We trust Sahara for all our pool needs! We’ve used them for years and have never been disappointed. They’re reliable as far as appointments, and always show up when they say they will. James is great and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend.

Recently I had a new liner and other repairs done to my 35 year old plus in ground pool. Sahara pools 4 person team did an excellent job from planning (choices, options, repair recommendations, etc.) to final repair. They had to deal with a grumpy old man with a lot of questions who like to understand how skilled craftsmen do things. They explained everything with kindness and respect. All the coordination was done by the team including water delivery and repairs to the steps. Every phone call and text was returned in a reasonable, professional amount of time. The pool looks great, repairs are rock solid, everything cleaned up...just a great job. Thank you.

Yelp
Great repair and store staff. Knowledgeable about anything pools, communication is always great and if service needed, they are are fast. Their prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I love Sahara pool service! All the guys are courteous, informed and willing to solve any problem They always respond quickly when I need assistance. Calling and leaving a message on their phone is not the quickest way to get a response. Just leave a text message and you will quickly hear back. My pool is always beautifully clear and sparking clean. What a pleasure to work with Anthony and all of his crew.

Yelp
Sahara Pools is the worst. We used them for 3 years. My pool opening cost $585 plus chemicals. The pool opened in pretty good shape - it was almost clear by the end of the first day. $700 in chemicals! Also, we started feeling like we were being overcharged for chemicals. Every week, they changed us for chlorine even though we have an automated chlorinator. We set up cameras to see exactly what they were adding. For three weeks, they showed up and dumped something from a small bucket into the pool immediately upon arrival. It appeared to be about a gallon of liquid. Not sure what was in there. But it wasn't $70 worth of chemicals. They didn't test the water until afterwards. Nothing else was added after testing the water. I called multiple times to speak to the service manager. I never received a call or an email back. That's standard for Sahara. You will never get a call back leaving you with the option of having to go into the store to talk to someone. Did that twice and both times the service manager was busy. No call back despite being told I would get one. Post COVID, there are so many new pool owners that these companies have unlimited work. So, they do not care if you stay as a customer or not. If you fire them, which we did, they will just add someone from their waiting list. The good news is we found a new company and love them. The maintenance price per week is a bit more. But no funny business with the chemicals.

Yelp
We were a customer for five years. Last week, the pump seemed off. We called and asked for someone to come out and look at it. It turned out my kid turned one of the valves the wrong way. They were there less than 20 minutes. We were charged $250 for the service charge. I called, spoke to one of the managers (Lauren) and was pretty much told, tough luck, that's what they charge for a service call. Mind you, they clean my neighbors' pools. So it wasn't like they had to go out of their way. I find the guys that come out to do the work to be friendly and good at their job. Unfortunately, the management leaves a lot to be desired. Emails and voice messages never get returned. And when you do reach someone, my experience - as with Lauren - you get a very curt response with little attempt at customer services. Their Service Manager is the worst and refuses to call you back.

Yelp
Excellent service and advice from these folks time and time again. Great to have neighborhood pool experts that are not corporate. Shop small!

Joe P.

Yelp
Weekly pool service some of the most expensive and is NOT full service. They refuse to level the pool as needed claiming they cant so if you hire this firm be prepared to do the work because it is not hands off. As a result, they left my brand new $1,700 pump run dry for over a week.

Yelp
The best customer service I have ever received. After spending lots of money at Leslie's pools and our pool is still green saharas Megan helped us so much today. Pool i s still green but getting better. This is our go to pool place from now on. Wish they would service above ground pools but with customer service like this we feel we are on the road to pretty blue waters.

Yelp
I recently bought a new home with a pool and hired Sahara to maintain and open the pool this summer. Although the service part is good the billing is outrageous and a complete rip off. The overcharge on everything from service to chemicals, they over chemical the pool with chemicals the pool doesn't require. They require each customer to provide a credit card for direct billing and I can't tell you how many times I'd receive an invoice AFTER they billed my credit card- not cool I just fired them- there are better services out there!

Yelp
Over confident and under qualified staffers. Have been misguided for too long and wasted my time and money here. When they were opening my pool last year they couldn't get it running because they thought a pipe was clogged or collapsed under ground (but really they just didn't turn a valve the correct way.) Recently almost burnt out my filter pump after being told to add granulated chlorine directly into skimmer. Brought water sample into store, was told to wait while readings were taken. After 30 minutes I asked about my sample results and was told they were given to someone else by mistake. This is the short list..over the past several years my husband and I have been pushed around, misguided and left with a hefty bill time and time again here. I think it goes without saying but we clearly need to seek out a new store with more knowledgeable staff that we can relay on!

Yelp
Super knowledgeable staff - 100% recommend their services! Perfect place to go for first time pool owners - they know their stuff and can help you get your pool up and running with all the right chemicals and products. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!

Lydia G.

Yelp
Amazing customer service! Always smiling and ready to assist. I buy all my pool stuff from here and rent skis every winter! Their prices are reasonable and they always explain why it's priced the way it is if you have concerns. They also always have new cool stuff in the store. They are always staffed up to make sure you get the best help you possibly can. Definitely recommend sahara pools to all my fellow pool owners and snowboarders!

Yelp
Last several things I purchased from Sahara fell apart in a few weeks: a skimmer net - the netting come apart from the hardware; a vacuum head - cracked in the middle and was ruined; a tub of chlorine tabs - the handle broke off while I was carrying it and fell to the ground cracking the container. Is Sahara just buying the cheapest stuff it can find? Tried to call and was left on hold while they tried to find the woman in charge. I'll be shopping elsewhere after years of shopping here.

Megan M.

Yelp
Fantastic Service! The store is very clean and the guys and gals inside were very helpful. Everything I need was in stock and readily available! Thanks Team!

Yelp
Sahara Pools has done weekly services on my pool since we moved into our house 7 years ago. We have never had an issue and the boys are all very personable. One of the boys, forgive me I think his name was Jordan, even walked my dog for me a when I hurt my leg last summer. Aside from that, I've had very few issues over the years with my pool and when I did have an issue, Sahara pools came to my home quickly and easily found the problem and fixed it! I've recommended them to many of my friends and will continue using their services for years to come!

Yelp
Fantastic service. I couldn't be more pleased with the pool technicians attention to detail, concern for the customer and the companies obsession with making the sure the customer is satisfied. We previously used PM Pools and the service as well as the business tactics were unsavory. I reviewed my pool opening bill from PM Pools with the owner Donna and she was embarrassed as industry professional. That's when I made the decision to go with Sahara Pools. Their lead technician Ryann is not only good at his job because he knows his business but also because it comes across that he actually is concerned that the job is done right and takes pride in his work. Personally, I consider Sahara Pools do be one of the best of all the home services we use. I have worked with Sahara for the past several years and couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Dana Smith

Yelp
Absolutely love Sahara Pools! Everyone is always so helpful and friendly there :) They know what they are talking about and willing to help with any problems thrown at them. I recommend them for any supplies you need or maintenance or service needed on your pool!

Madison A.

Yelp
Very experienced staff. They do a great job cleaning and fixing pool/hot tubs. Have been using them for the last 10 years.

B B.

Yelp
I would not mind paying the outrageous rates, IF they actually did their job. The technicians are pretty incompetent. They have no idea what they are doing, except for the basic tasks. No clue WHY they are doing what they do, and do not understand the pool equipment. Their office staff is not at all helpful and totally untrained. On top of everything, they are arrogant. Use at your own peril.

Madison F.

Yelp
Everyone as Hunterdon Ski n Snow knows exactly what they're talking about and is happy to help any customer. No matter the level of skill, there's boards and skis for everyone!

Tony M.

Yelp
This was the first and last time I will use Sahara Pools. They are super expensive, and their website is very misleading. I paid $465 to close my inground pool, when I had never paid more than $275 in the past. The advertised price is $335. I find out now, that doesn't include chemicals or cleaning the filter!!!! They put antifreeze in pipes without asking. The site says its $85 extra, which led me to believe they would ask first. I called and complained, and they said it was part of the chemical package. WINTER CHEMICALS ARE NOT PART OF THE CLOSING COST!! They changed my plugs, but never told me, and never left my old ones to examine, another $16. They never even opened my filter and rinsed the D. E. filter fins. I called and complained, they said it was $40 extra!!!! I would have addressed these issues sooner but you dont get a copy of the invoice at day of service. It comes in a email weeks later, and the service is paid with credit card, which you give online when signing up. Very Shady.
