Where to Eat, Drink, and Stay in Marrakech Right Now

"A Guéliz eatery run by an all‑female chef team working in an open kitchen; the menu highlights comforting harira soup, inventive salads such as orange‑bright shredded carrots and lemon‑coriander eggplant, and mains like a sesame‑and‑sugared‑eggplant lamb tagine, all celebrating traditional women’s recipes brought into the open." - Brian Freedman

One of our favorite restaurants in Marrakech. The food was exceptional; traditional dishes with a modern twist. The ambience was wonderful, and being seated at the counter overlooking the open kitchen and simmering tagines made it a truly special experience. The service was very warm and kind, though at times a little slow and lacking in attention, and we would have appreciated more explanation of the dishes. That said, the atmosphere and quality of the food more than made up for it. The interior is beautiful, and the fact that the restaurant is women-led made us love the concept even more. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Sahbi Sahbi is a wonderful restaurant. The all female team make it a wonderful experience. From the greeting at the door, you feel welcome and relaxed, and through the charm and food knowledge of the waiting staff, you become excited for the food to come. The Moroccan food was all very good. The pigeon pastilles was sweetm full of flavour and a hearty starter. The Beef, pumpkin and orange Tagine was the standout main. And the Jouhara ile Flottante was fantastic. Highly recommend.

I have read positively about this restaurant all over trendy travel magazines and blogs, but my friends living in Marrakech had a different opinion … Nevertheless I was happy to try it, I had high expectations concerning the food, unfortunately they were not really matched, and service not so warm neither professional.. We asked five times for the bottles of wines, and the candles on the cake were forgotten even though I repetitively mentioned the birthday occasion. I enthusiastically asked for local dishes recommendations but the waitress was too busy to form an answer. The restaurant is still beautiful and the open kitchen is a plus. All together it was okay experience but not a place I would recommend unfortunately..

Had an amazing evening , the food was delicious, and the atmosphere captured the real essence of Moroccan hospitality in a modern way. The staff, led by Dalal, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making the whole experience even more special. Beautiful vibes, elegant design, and authentic flavors definitely a must try when in Marrakech.

Really liked the concept! The design is stylish, modern and authentic. Great location, and attentive staff, efficient and professional. Food was great. They have popular morocco dishes that you won’t find somewhere else. Good presentation, top products. I just thought that they lacked more flavour intensity, more spices, more punch. Presentation and visual was proper and we ate all. But it is the only point that would take them to 5* It will be worth it though

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. The food is delicious and the desserts are incredible. This restaurant is completely ran by women and the attention to detail is something not to miss. This was the best meal I had during my 10 day trip to Morocco

Excellent is the word. The best Moroccan restaurant I’ve been to in Morocco, and I’ve tried a lot living here for four years. The Friday couscous is exceptional; Dalal, the chef, prepares it just like her mother used to, with a true homemade touch. Everything is full of flavor, even the vegetables. It’s already my fourth visit with different groups (friends, family) we’ve never been disappointed. The service is also excellent; Hanane and the whole team are warm and attentive. This place is a must if you’re looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine in Marrakech.

It couldn't have been a better experience. Cosy, yet elevated environment. The lighting was magical as was the decor. We had the friendliest welcome and sat at the counter where we could see the staff prepare all our meals beautifully. Service was impeccable and welcoming and the food was really delightful. We had a really special experience and hope to come back soon.
