"If you come to Saigon Eden, a large Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Alhambra, and order some pho or a banh mi, you’ll have a perfectly fine meal. But to have a great meal, go for the bún riêu, a rich, tomato-based vermicelli soup that you don’t often find outside of Orange County’s Little Saigon. It comes stocked with ground shrimp and crab meat, giving it a sweet, yet musky flavor, along with big chunks of fried tofu. Definitely snag an order of the cha gio as well, which are crunchy, deep-fried imperial rolls filled with a sweet, fragrant pork and vegetable mix. " - brant cox, sylvio martins

Google
Definitely on the cheaper side. There are large bowls of pho for $14 which is pretty difficult to find even in the SGV. pretty good pho. Comes out right away. Even tho pho is relatively a right away dish. The one thing that stands out here is the amount of meat they give you. Pretty intense and magical! Nice parking behind the building in the structure, not right behind the restaurant as there are only 2 spaces. Good stuff!

Google
Saigon Eden is a spacious restaurant with friendly staff. I tried the Pho and Bun Bo Hue, and both were incredibly delicious. A nice touch is the free Mung Bean with Seaweed Sweet Soup they offer at the end of the meal. It’s a great spot for anyone wanting to experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Wanted to try this place for awhile so we went here to test out their phõ! The aroma when you wakes in the store seemed promising. Lots of combinations of protein to chose with your bowl of phõ. When we got our phõ, the broth is not as fragrant as it supposed to be. Couple of the cuts is a bit chewy while the tendon is a bit soft, not crunchy as it supposed to be. Very fast service and provide tampioca and mung beans sweet dessert, that was very good. The inside of the restaurant is clean and neat.

Google
One of the best kept secret places in the SGV for amazing pho! They used to have really charming decor before they renovated so now the interior is not as interesting as it used to be. But the food is still great. I usually order #17 (pho xe lua) so it's a good representation of what good pho can be with all the variety of ingredients. There can be a slight wait at times but I find it's not too bad. Free parking on the lot or on the street.

Google
We both had grilled pork banh mi and they were excellent! I think they may use regular butter instead of the regular stuff used elsewhere. VERY nice people working here! (Thank you for the mung bean dessert!) ~ Your friends from Oklahoma

Google
Amazing Pho with so much flavor you don't need any sauce. Just the broth itself seems like it's been passed from generations. The Kobe beef seems like very it's very high quality. Price is good, service is excellent, and food is amazing.

Google
This is a Vietnamese restaurant. It is on Las Tunas Road in the Chinese community, opposite a large Chinese supermarket, and there is a small parking lot next to it. The traffic is very convenient and the parking is also very convenient. The lobby of this restaurant is very oriental, full of red wood tables and chairs. The indoor light is not very cool, and there are many dining seats. The menu is available in English, Chinese, and Vietnamese. The taste of the dishes is more delicious, I especially like the spring rolls here. Serving too much is also good. Moderately priced, not particularly cheap.

Google
Been coming here for a decade. Completely remodeled and new menu items. Game changer for sure. The new beef rib pho is as good as any foodie pho spot I've been to. Because of that, it'll be my new go to pho spot. It's that good. The beef ribs are tender, plenty of meat, and price is very reasonable. It actually adds depth and flavor to their already delicious broth. look at my pics.

Yelp
Stop by Saigon Eden restaurant at friend's recommendation. It's at San Gabriel California. Glad it does have private parking lot. The decor is eatery, modern, and cafe style. Service is very friendly and we even get to order what's not on the menu. Banh Xeo is a Vietnamese street food crispy pancake made with rice flour, water, and turmeric. Inside the crepe you will find pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, and mung beans. The dish is served with Vietnamese greens / salad and sweet and sour dipping sauce. It's unique and I like it. Also pho xe lua - it's better than average and crispy noodles is also better than average. Overall the dishes are authentic and the size is generous when you order large! Good for company!

Yelp
i've had better pho spots. came here on new year's day around 11am hungover af and it was decently filled inside. we were able to grab a table right away and we had a waitress that was either very soft spoken or forgetful. she also barely checked on our table and had to continuously flag people down to refill our water or ask for anything else. i've had better pho ga and pho dac biet from other restaurants. place is pretty mid. on a funny note, they had these people ask for donations from a church and they busted out a guitar and microphone and started singing apt while i was heavily hungover and going through it. i really felt like i was in a simulation and was definitely overstimulated

Yelp
Everything is pretty good and the drink is nice and creamy and not ultra sweet at all. Great place to have some good Vietnamese food.

Juan M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Vietnamese food! The pho was rich and flavorful, with tender meat and fresh herbs. The banh xeo was crispy and packed with tasty fillings, perfectly paired with fresh greens and dipping sauce. Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was cozy. Definitely my new go-to spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine!"

Yelp
We came here for lunch with the family since I was craving Vietnamese food. We got seated right away and received our menus. The four of us ordered the #8 Charboiled Pork Spring Roll ($8), #17 Large Combination Pho ($14), #46 Large Bun Bo Hue ($16), and #62 Banh Canh ($17). All of the food came out pretty quickly, but funny enough the appetizer came out last. The charboiled pork was more of a shredded pork than the nem nuong I was expecting, but it was a pretty big roll. Both the pho and bun bo hue were tasty, but could use a bit more meat in the bowl. I didn't care for the Banh canh as much as it was a clear broth, but my parents did enjoy this one for how clean it tasted. Great Vietnamese spot in the area with lots of options from soups to rice plates. At the end of the meal, you also get a small complimentary tapioca mung bean dessert to finish your meal.

Yelp
Saigon Eden has become a spot I visit every so often, especially when I'm craving a comforting bowl of pho. Their dac biet pho is my usual go-to--the broth is flavorful, and the large size is genuinely filling, packed with a good variety of meats. I've also tried the banh xeo here. While the flavors were decent, the dish was heavy on the bean sprouts, which made some parts of it feel a bit undercooked and doughy. It's not bad, but I've had better elsewhere. What I really like about this place is the spacious seating, making it easy to enjoy a meal solo when I want a quiet moment. Occasionally, they'll surprise you with a free che dessert, which is a nice touch, though it seems random when they do it. Luckily, you can also purchase the dessert separately if you're in the mood for something sweet. All in all, Saigon Eden is a solid choice for pho and a relaxed dining experience. Nothing over-the-top, but definitely worth a visit!

Caroline Y.

Yelp
Tried this spot for pho last night and really enjoyed it. The interior is cute with a lot of plants and seating. Our group ordered Kobe beef pho and we were pleasantly pleased by the flavor of the meat and broth. I have no idea if it was real Kobe beef - but it was tasty and tender with a balanced amount of fat. Overall, the was flavorful and Viet mother in law approved! I would certainly come here again!

Vanna T.

Yelp
Tried their Alhambra location and it was good. Sadly it's not the same for this San Gabriel location. It wasn't too busy when we arrived so got seated right away. Ordered the broken rice with charbroiled pork with shrimp bean curd & shredded pork and pho rare steak, but the dish came out with no shredded pork. The pho broth was way too salty and the rice noodles had a nasty taste and weird texture to it. The rice, pork, shrimp bean curd, and soup were all kinds cold and not flavorful. Everything tasted bland and not good. The foods were very disappointing. Service was okay. Definitely not worth coming back here.

Yelp
"4+" One Of My Fav's Vietnamese Pho Restaurant. Order Pho Kobe + Extra Kobe + Extra Tendon , Pho Xe Lua + Extra Ribeye , Bo Luc Lac , Cha Gio. Delicious. Always Return.

Williamson S.

Yelp
First time to try this Vietnamese restaurant. Service is good. All the servers smile and are very polite. Place is relatively clean.

Lucy M.

Yelp
The $15.44 (after tax) Large House Special Beef Pho hit the spot even on a hot summer day! Entered Sunday afternoon, after lunch rush so no wait. The pho was hot and ready fast. The meat cuts inside the beef pho were tender and had a nice texture. Certain cuts of the beef were pinkish so they were authentic and didn't pre cook it -- they let the steamy broth do its job. More importantly, they had generous bites of tendon and brisket (some of my fav cuts) for the house special. The tripe inside also tasted fresh and crunchy so I will go for the option with more of it next time. This is the second time I had Saigon Eden (first was at their Alhambra location). While this location doesn't have as nice of a plant decor/entrance, I think the SG one might win cuz it has the same menu and delicious taste while offering complimentary mung bean sago dessert!

Sheldon C.

Yelp
Super solid Vietnamese food. - Shrimp cake, baked egg, bean curd with red rice is delicious. Customized, so it's not cheap, but so worth it. - all the Pho dishes have a classic tasting broth. Can't really go wrong there. - the Bun Rieu is rich and delicious. Highly recommended! They recently renovated the interior (within the last year or so), so it's more spacious and comfortable inside. Parking is easy. Service is always decent and fast. One of our go-to local spots.

Henry T.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. We were seated right away when we came in and we were able to order promptly. I ordered the Pho Xe Lua Large with the pickled onions. The broth was very flavorful and all the meats were tender. There was a table sauce bar so it was convenient. They also had little plates for sauce which I love and some places don't provide. At the end of the meal, you get a free che dessert which is perfectly sweet and a nice top off to the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed Saigon Eden and will continue to be a regulat here!

Tiffany H.

Yelp
I've only had their pho here and it's pretty good! I came around 8pm on a Wednesday night and there were still a lot of people eating here. Service is very tentative and fast. I look forward in trying other things on the menu.

Stacy H.

Yelp
I love to come here for their pho. Their chili satay sauce they have on the table is perfect in your soup if you like spicy! I normally can't eat a big bowl of pho but I can finish the bowl here. There's never a wait when I come and there is always plenty of parking. Service is friendly & food comes out fast. Overall a solid place if you're craving some noodle soup.

Richard C.

Yelp
Great food at a good price. We came here for lunch on a Monday at 12 noon. I got the special pho noodles with the beef rib. The beef rib was delicious.

Gustavo K.

Yelp
Forgot how good this place is! I have no idea why I stopped coming here! Good service good phõod & easy parking? Yes yes yes! Broth is a bit msg herbally but definitely not complaining! The bowls stay hot for a very long time. It's feels almost low key but it's still a common spot for the locals to come to. They have decent condiments & the portions are average. Service is pretty decent here! They have resting faces so don't take it as if they are upset, just really relaxed. Parking lot it good and bathroom seems clean. Definitely will come back for one of their unique condiments and good service. Thank you Rowland for that awesome smile!

Sean T.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and they recently remodeled. Now the place is bright and inviting light blueish white tiles and walls. It's definitely different than the old look. The food has not changed and is so delicious and not too salty. I was quite thirsty so I started with a lime soda which was so refreshing. My buddy had the pho and I had the bun bo hue. It was so good, litely salty, sweet and very porky which has that note that hits the spot. After the tiring night I had, this made my morning bare-able. I was so stuffed after. Plenty of parking here!

Nelson H.

Yelp
Noodles soup were so tasty n delicious!! And seafoods like crab meat claw n shrimp were good enough!!! I believe their beef products pho should be good too!!! They advertised their ribs, and other beef phos!!! Services were so efficient and good spacing for pho shop!!! It's a very convenient place for SGV area customers!!!

Lucy W.

Yelp
SAIGON EDEN - This place is perfect for a simple night out with the fam, date night or with friends or enjoy a meal alone :) The service is good, atmosphere clean PORTIONS: 5/5 Price : very reasonable I personally feel that a good pho spot is decided with the flavor of the soup and this place tasted like home and rich in flavor ! THE FOLLOWING ARE THE THINGS I REALLY ENJOYED : Bún Bò Kho Beef Stew Vermicelli Soup Beef, spring rolls dried vermecelli HOUSE PHO # 17 Broken rice with steamed egg and charboiled pork :) highly recommend ! -Follow me for more! Check my YT FOR VIDEOS - LIVING WITH LUCI

Kyoung K.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the summer and egg rolls. The spring roll was not skinny lol the egg rolls were xrispy. The pho was good too but I feel like a bit too much of msg. But I sure did liked their egg & bone marrow. That was fatty and hearty. It was clean.

Maryam Q.

Yelp
I meannnn this places beef rib pho is to die for!!! On a cold day my friend and I went to go eat there and we had ordered a couple of items that were so good! Eggs rolls and pho beef rib were my favorite. Service was fast and order came out so quickly. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food.

Monica H.

Yelp
One of the better pho restaurants in the area with flavorful broth. They offer regular or large size pho and provide the option of fresh or regular noodles. There's also a variety of dishes on the menu so there's something for everyone. If you order egg rolls, they'll let you get an extra piece if you opt for no side vegetables. I like that option but their egg rolls tend to be very oily. There is a parking lot but I usually have to park on the street during busy times.

Andrew W.

Yelp
First time back here since they renovated. The place is bright and clean and modern. The staff is a young group of guys and girls all super courteous. We felt the beef is better than before, the noodle has a better bite and broth is tastier. But they said it is the same owner and samechef. The menu is elevated for sure, they now have wagyu beef pho and the ever trendy beef rib pho as well for $20-22. The regular pho is $14. Somehow I felt everything is slightly better than before. Maybe they are the same but it felt everything is improved. Whatever it is, it's definitely a good place worth going back. One thing not to my liking (and its personal preference likely) is the curry chicken. It's a bit more watery, great to dip the bread but by itself is a bit too runny for me. And the chicken is a bit rough.

Betty M.

Yelp
I decided to go Saigon Eden for some pho and it definitely lived up to expectations. It seems they've renovated since my last visit, as the restaurant now has a modern vibe. I went for the Eden special, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was wonderfully rich and flavorful. Plus, they kindly offered a complimentary dessert. The prices are fair, and the staff were exceptionally friendly.

Lily L.

Yelp
Tried it once more to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Holy crap so salty (aka prob MSG!) still. Sad...this place has gone downhill.

Peggy S.

Yelp
Ordered take out. Servers were attentive and courteous. Served me a cup of tea as I briefly waited. Restaurant was clean and relaxing. There were a few tables taken (at the time I was there, but have seen it when it was busy). Order arrived quickly and was complete and well packaged. Inhaled an egg roll with the leafy greens while I was still in the parking lot. So good.

Kenneth C.

Yelp
The pho is pretty good here especially if you get the meatball or brisket pho. The service is pretty good I got seated instantly and waited around 15 minutes for the food to come out. The atmosphere can be a bit loud sometimes you go but sometimes it's quiet as well.

Daniella P.

Yelp
We visited here on a rainy day and it was a great idea. There was a a lot of seating available so we got seated immediately. I ordered the Pho Tai Nam Gan Sach and the broth was so flavorful. I had a sore throat that day and the dish completely soothed it. After a wonderful meal, they gave us a complimentary, warm dessert. Great place!

Jason R.

Yelp
Always a place to go when you want solid SGV comfort food. Nothing fancy here just a hole in the wall with great Vietnamese food. If you are in the area, try this place out.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious Pho , reasonably priced, quick pick up and kind wait staff. My favorite is chicken pho.

Val L.

Yelp
This is one of standard pho place in the SGV. We alternate between pho Super Bowl and here. The pho is great. It has a good flavor and you get a decent size. I do enjoy they have a variety of other options as well. For instance, we also go to Pho Super Bowl pho which is equally as good but their menu is a bit more limited. For the time I want a banh mi sandwich with my pho this is the place to go. The restaurant is good size often time has no problem fitting in a large group of people as well.

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
The food was really delicious and the atmosphere of this place was spot on. Service was great they were on point and kept checking up on my table. In addition, parking is on site and plenty of street parking if the lot is full.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This was a great place with a huge menu and authentic food. They renovated end of last year and I have to say the restaurant has lost some of its aura/Vietnamese vibe. It's now a sterile feeling square. Service is still great but the food has lost some of its authenticity. I hosted a large party of visitors and most of them had pho, bun Bo hue and I ordered lemongrass beef bun General consensus was disappointment that the pho soup was powder based, which is common in all Vietnamese restaurants now. The bun Bo hue was okay but the lemongrass beef in my dish was very tough. It was not the right type of meat. They still offer the complimentary mung bean dessert but that has drastically reduced in its size. The Alhambra location may be better

Celina C.

Yelp
Had to go back to the SGV to satisfy a pho craving this weekend. Saigon Eden is the go to place for a no frills, fast, consistent experience. Eggrolls are served crispy and hot for wrapping in lettuce and herbs for a refreshing appetizer. And their combination pho is generously portioned with brisket, tendon, tripe, and rare beef. Also, warm mung bean tapioca dessert is back! Pho Xe Lua (#17) Cha Gio (egg rolls - #10) Sea Salt Foam Vietnamese Coffee, Green Thai Tea

Elsie B.

Yelp
Authenticity of Food , services were on top of everything. and ambience was amazing. Everything exceeded our expectation. Very clean bathroom as well. John

Fanny Q.

Yelp
Friendly services but don't care for the gloomy interior especially at dinner time. Bun Bo Hue was bit too sweet & not at all spicy at all not even at mild level. My husband's Bun Xeo was filled with too much bean sprouts & mung beans, the crepe was too thick & lack of coconut flavor. The $5 bone marrow soup was the only tasty order.

David C.

Yelp
My wife and I were looking for new Pho spots to try in the SGV. We came across this place on yelp and since it was 15 minutes from where we lived we decided to check it out. It ended up hitting the spot on a cold night! I got the #20 Pho Tai Nam Gan and my wife got the #18 Pho Tai. We also got the #10 Cha Gio as an appetizer. The parking lot is small and not great but there is street parking. When we entered we got seated right away and served our Pho within 10 minutes of ordering (which I thought was really fast). The medium bowl is pretty big so I wouldn't recommend ordering a large unless you really can eat. The meat was delicious and the tendon was soft and chewy. My wife and I both really liked the egg roll (#10)- it's deep fried and comes out hot. I would recommend this place to locals and plan on going again.

Jody C.

Yelp
This is usually my go to for pho. However, I ordered takeout yesterday and found not one but 2 things in my charboiled pork with rice: a blue piece of rubber band and a strand of hair. Not only is this unsanitary and unappetizing, I can't help but to think that they are just being careless in the kitchen. Who knows what else I'll find next time? I will think again before getting food here again.

Justin L.

Yelp
You know the foods gonna be good when there's absolutely nothing there when you walk-in...food was really good tho and reasonable price and it comes with dessert with any purchase.

Gus Z.

Yelp
They remodeled the place about 2 months ago. The atmosphere is great and feels a lot bigger. Service was impeccable and they added a few extra waiters. The menu hasn't changed much except they added some extra special high-end options like a beef bone Pho. Today the Pho broth was a little bit off, but hopefully it was just today. Looks like the medium size Pho is a little bit smaller too. Prices have gone up but not to the extent of some other similarly priced places in the area. Overall, Saigon Eden is still one of the best Vietnamese joints in the San Gabriel Valley. Oh, the coconut cream is something and I bring myself for my rice vermicelli dish...Happy 2024!

Belle C.

Yelp
Chicken salad portion is good, I like to ask dressing on the side so I can adjust the seasoning myself. Kobe pho is the best. I always order this for my kids, even my baby girl enjoyed the noodle and the soup.

Sandy H.

Yelp
Reason I give 1 star is because I saw one of the waiter standing there poking his ear touching his face without washing hand and then I saw another waiter touching his nose also not washing hand and go help other customers. First time and will be last time coming here.

Leslie A.

Yelp
I just love this place. I have checked out a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the SGV and this is one of the best. Their pho, chef's kiss! Very reasonably priced for the quality. Staff is always so kind and accommodating, makes me feel at home. Nice ambience, spacious and comfortable. The owner Kim is really cool too. Would highly recommend!

Crystal N.

Yelp
They renovated the entire place for a modern look. I believe they have new owners or managers. The food tastes the same as last time. I can't tell if sizing changed though. Maybe I'm just picky but I miss the mom-pop shop / homey vibes from prior. Now it just feels like any typical modern pho spot which makes it feel less authentic.

Genevie Y.

Yelp
Wow Saigon Eden reopened and they are coming out fighting!! Took out all the clutter and now it's simple and clean design indoors. We do miss seeing the Christmas lights to help find the restaurant at night. Ordered the Beef rib Pho, Eden special, and egg rolls. Everything was delicious. Staff was attentive asked us for drinks when we sat down and gave us menu. We saw the specials and had to try them. Now it's our favorite Pho fall off bone rib meat is so good with the pho flavor...hope they keep these items on the menu forever.

Sammy W.

Yelp
always a great pick for viet food, great selection, quick service and delicious food. Super fresh. Also you get a free dessert at the end.

Jodie T.

Yelp
THIS LOCATION HAS NOT REOPENED!!! It was stated to reopen on October 1, then updated to October 19; but we came today and it's still completely undone inside and boarded up outside. Do not come yet, it's NOT OPEN. Please edit the hours listed so others don't come assuming it is open.
