Vietnamese & Mexican fusion cafe with Ube coffee & churro pancakes
"You know what they say: Jack of all trades, master of none. But somehow, Saigon Grace Cafe on South Street serves grilled pork bánh mì, churro pancakes, and birria ramen with beefy tacos—and it's all pretty good. The quaint all-day cafe won’t rush you out, which makes Saigon Grace Cafe just as useful for a working lunch over salted foam iced coffee and a bulgogi rice bowl as it does for a pancakes-and-eggs Sunday brunch. If you're really just getting one thing, make it a bánh mì. But don't take that as a sign to shy away from the rest of the non-Vietnamese dishes." - candis mclean, alison kessler, candis mclean, candis mclean, alison kessler, candis mclean, candis mclean, candis mclean, alison kessler, candis mclean, alison kessler, candis mclean, alison kessler
"Sometimes we don't know what kind of midday pick-me-up we're in the mood for, but the good news is that Saigon Grace serves (almost) all of them. On the drinks side, the all-day cafe has tea and coffee drinks brewed with beans sourced from the owner's in-laws' farm in Vietnam. As for food, you can go with the grilled pork bánh mì, a tofu vermicelli bowl, or the bulgogi beef over rice (the best we've had in town). The portions are huge, and the staff here won't glare if you hang around for a working lunch. Whether it's Saturday brunch or a random Thursday afternoon, slide this spot into your daytime rotation." - alison kessler
"We know—a Vietnamese place may be the last place you'd expect to find churro pancakes. But a few forkfuls into into these cinnamon-sugar baddies and you won't care about what makes sense. The Graduate Hospital shop serves plate-sized, buttery pancakes that get the bedazzled treatment. But in this case, instead of gems, they're topped with adorable, two-bite churros. They're a must-order during a morning pit-stop to the cafe and will leave you wondering what other churro creations they'll think of next. French toast? Lattes? Pillows? Okay, maybe not the last one." - candis mclean, alison kessler
"You know what they say: Jack of all trades, master of none. But somehow, Saigon Grace on South Street does it all, and does it well. On the drinks side, the all-day cafe brews coffee with beans from the owner's in-laws' farm in Vietnam. They're slow-dripped right on the counter, ready to admire while you wait for your salt foam-topped iced coffee. The quaint all-day spot serves great Vietnamese and Mexican dishes, too. Best of all, they won’t rush you out, which makes it as useful for a working brunch over iced coffee and bánh mì as it does ube lattes and churro pancakes on a lazy Sunday." - alison kessler
