"With another well-established location in Coronado, this North Park favorite prides itself on an unparalleled sake program and a menu from executive chef and co-owner Anthony Pascale based on whole, locally-sourced fish paired with housemade ingredients." - Candice Woo, Paolo Bicchieri

Came here for dinner on a Thursday night around 730 - will have to come back for happy hour! The food and drinks were great and the waitresses were really nice and gave great recommendations. We had the fruity sake flight which was really good and the Saiko nigiri flight special which came with 5 different kinds of fish. The house edamame is seasoned well and the ritual roll was unique and had chimichurri, definitely recommend! We ended the meal with ice cream and to my surprise, the eel was my favorite! I don't usually like eel sauce but it wasn't fishy at all and the saltiness went well with the sweet ice cream 😊

Some of the best Sushi in Southern California. Last night we did an event having Anthony the owner / chef present with 2 guests talking about the fish we were eating and the sake we were drinking. I would highly recommend trying both locations and attending one of these dinner events.

Not sure why I haven't done a review sooner, ad I've LOVED this place for years. Traditional sushi gets NO better than at Saiko. Chef Anthony is amazing and knows what he's doing, so even the modern stuff will impress. Of course the Sake is top notch and thier flights let you sample, sample, sample! Atmosphere 10/10, service 12/10, food 15/10

Would not recommend for large parties, sake bombing, or hot days. The sushi here is pretty good and they do have a good selection of rolls and sake. However, I called three weeks in advance to make a reservation for 15 people for my birthday. Despite charging my card $160 for a deposit, when I called a week before to confirm the reservation (because I had a feeling) they had no record of it but booked it when they were able to confirm that they did get a $160 deposit. The day of, we were told there was no sake bombing allowed. Annoying because reviews specifically recommended this venue for that and that was what I was trying to do for my birthday but whatever. The real issue that it was actually like 85+ degrees during the whole dinner and everyone was profusely sweating. It was confirmed when I called later to ask if they were going to return my $160 deposit (it was not credited against our final bill) that their AC was in fact broken. It would have been nice to know that before bringing 15 of my friends in on a 90+ degree day.

We came here for happy hour while on vacation in San Diego with friends. The food was really great. We had mostly happy hour specials, but did order some things off the regular menu, and we thought the prices were reasonable on everything. We sat in the bar area, and the bartender Michelle took great care of us. She was very friendly and helped guide us to some tasty items, and her drinks were fabulous! I really enjoyed the Dirty Talk Martini, which was her creation. Would highly recommend this place!

Delicious sushi and sashimi at a price. Went for dinner and ordered food and drinks. Most notable items: Sushi was delicious and a wide variety of specials to your taste Sashimi: super good but pricey, the chef special are especially tasty but smaller portions for their price in my opinion Sake flight: lots of nice options and very reasonable price Based on price point you may want to order differently though all the food was great.

We went here for their happy hour. Got the spicy tuna, spicy Opah, and salmon avocado roll. The rolls didn’t have much flavor, and I think it’s because they were using unseasoned, jasmine rice and not sushi rice. I left a bit dissatisfied… so keep that in mind when you go!

One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. The service here alone is enough to warrant a visit. I have a very mild food allergy and the sushi bar and staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The food is always so good. Great, creative rolls with amazing fresh fish. So delicious. They were really understaffed during our visit and still made a point to be so kind and serve us an amazing dinner.
