Not so big, Impressive. Almost everything available. Wines collection is very limited. Long queues. Not well stocked. Most of the crates were empty. Atmosphere was not according to Christmas season. Clean.

Quite possibly the WORST Sainsbury’s supermarket I have ever come across in my life. Put in an order on deliver. Took over 45 minutes to “confirm” the order. Then accepted it and stated it was out for delivery. Hits 8pm they cancel the order due to “an issue”. They just shut the shop and absolutely wasted my time. Not the first time this has happened either

Had to pull into the petrol station tonight 17/10 at around 6:30pm due to a flat tyre. Couldn’t manage to pump it up and the lovely man who was working at the petrol station (sorry didn’t catch his name - tall dark hair LOVELY man) came out of his way to help us and managed to get the tyre pumped up again. I can’t explain how much this little act has helped us, we managed to make it home safely without calling the AA and it was due to this man going out of his way when he didn’t have to! So nice to know people like this are still out there - a credit to your company Sainsbury’s! ❤️

This is a large Sainsbury's branch. In addition to the usual supermarket fare, it also houses the Tu clothing range and a Timpsons key cutting and dry cleaning service. You can also collect items ordered online from Argos here. The café that used to operate on the first floor is now permanently closed. Externally, there is a wall of Inpost lockers plus two ATMs, one of which dispenses both Euros and US dollars. On the opposite side of the car park, there is a Sainsburys petrol station.

Often runs out of essentials + is quite hard to navigate for certain goods. There are better large Sainsbury’s around. The staff also seem very eager to finish on the dot so you can feel pressured to leave. Requiring a pound for the trollies is also a bugbear and again not standard with all Sainsbury’s.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to Neil who worked yesterday (~2pm, 06.08.2025) restocking the veg aisle. I asked for availability of scotch bonnet chillies, which weren't on the shelves and he found us later on to hand the new delivery to us. Thank you! What a great customer service :)

Unfortunately since I moved to Old Trafford,there aren't Sainsbury's close to me, the one at Fallowfield was great. Have been to Urmston it was ok, but this one not really very inviting. Maybe I was there about 10 am, was expecting to be busy but no, the supermarket is dark, Bakery it's ok,but pastry needs to be crunchy and it wasn't ,the olive bread it's good, bought a few more things and went,no one at till and it was someone waiting so went to self check up , needed help with quantity so this lady helped,but still not done, she came back but not happy,staff need to understand every supermarket chain is different,have to say Lidl is the best ,when you call for the product,you can see the quantity. What went wrong with Sainsbury's?last may I had the worse food delivery ever. I will go one day to Fallowfield to see, if changed as well. The only thing good was all the pumpkins at the entrance, bring back Sainsbury's.

The Sainsbury's Taste The Difference range is certainly a cut above. This particular store has friendly staff and a reasonable selection. They have good parking available for adults with children.

Sainsbury's in Salford is a pretty large location, it is in a good on Regent Road, it is probably the closest large supermarket to Manchester city centre in terms of walking, but public transportation links getting here aren't great, I actually found it just as quick to come here on foot compared to getting a bus/train. In terms of groceries the store is excellent, they had a great selection of food items, including Free From products which I haven't seen in other stores, even other locations of Sainsbury's, so this was exciting for me to see that they had an extended selection of Free-From foods, compared to the boring, tasteless trash you see in 99% of other supermarkets. They also had a good selection of bottled drinks, including my favourite Mango Lipton iced tea, a small selection of my favourite desserts, Pots and Co, and a good selection of crisps including the only brand I'd eat - Pipers (They seem to only be sold in Booths, Waitrose and some Sainsbury's stores on the high-street!) I did find the selection in non-grocery areas such as alcohol and home to be a little lacking, for example, they didn't seem to sell the little double 5cl bottles they sell at other Sainsbury's locations, which is generally how I like to buy my vodka/rum. The home section again was much poorer than other locations. They did have some staff members on the shop floor, making it easier to grab assistance when required and they do offer SmartShop here, including dedicated Smartshop tills, rather than going to the regular self-scan, I like this separate area better, less queuing! 4* - Pretty good Sainsbury's store overall, excellent for groceries, just OK for everything else, the floor did appear dreary and could have been cleaned up to make it more modern/nicer compared to other stores again, but overall a nice Sainsbury's store.

Don't ask me why but early this morning my better half had a craving for caneloni and sent me to Sainsburys to source the ingredients. Being one of the biggest supermarkets on the fringes of the city centre I imagined it would be easy enough to pick everything up and make it home with plenty of time to whip it up for New Year's Eve. What I didn't account for was the long queue to get into Sainsbury's car park, the hundreds of frantic shoppers desperately scanning the store for any left over bottles of sparkling and the mass of empty shelves. Yup. There was - wait for this - no buffalo mozzarella, no ricotta, no eggs and no spinach left. I asked an assistant if there was a pasta making contest taking place anywhere and he laughingly remarked that there hadn't been any of the ingredients since 9am. He did however, find me two bottles of good Prosecco and offer to phone a local branch to check if they had the other ingredients.

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE CAFE ONLY!! My previous review for the overall store is an excellent 5 stars Having reviewed the store on its re-opening I didn't get chance to eat that day so decided to get a bite while doing my shopping today. I was going to have an all day breakfast but I thought as I was heading over to Frurt a couple of hours later, I better have something lighter. I think it was a mistake. Not because it was bad, but boy was it expensive for what we had. This is not to say the Cafe as a whole is expensive, as I thought £4.95 for the all day breakfast was great however today I had a pre packed chicken salad sandwich which you can buy in the store, a small bag of kettle chips, a pepsi and a very small piece of rocky road. My guest had the same except she had a panini as opposed to the packed sandwich I had - and the cost, a whopping £13.57. I nearly knocked someone over as I staggered back in astonishment! Thirteen pounds! I mean come on - what I had was basically what an supermarket or petrol station call a 'Meal Deal' which costs £2.99. I basically paid £6.70 for this and the benefit of eating it in. I really should have just got the meal deal for £3 from the entrance and eaten it in my car! Admittedly my guest could not have had her panini hot in the car unless we sat it on the engine block for a good while, but even still the fact remains what I had in store would cost around £3.70 (the extra 70p being for the small piece of rocky road I had as well). The seating we chose wasn't the best either. There are three styles of seat to cater for different people. You have the sofa chairs, some padded round back support chairs and some normal wooden based chairs. We chose the padded round chairs as they looked very comfy but crikey were they restricting. I mean, I am not exactly skinny but I am not exactly high either - neither is my guest yet we both sat in the chairs and immediately looked at each other wondering if when we stood up - the chairs would be leaving with us! A lady much larger than ourselves came to the table next to us and I thought you poor soul, you are going to struggle and needless to say, she soon got up and chose a wooden chair. So if you do visit - make sure you only use the nice red padded chairs if you are about a female size 8, or a male size 30" waist as anything more then the chairs will just make you feel obese! So all in all I was not too impressed with my visit today. A VERY expensive sandwich and crisps - by the way the sandwich on its own was £3.09 which is more than complete 'Meal Deals" in store so couple that with a bad choice of seating then I know next time I am going to try the more reasonable £4.95 all day breakfast, and I will be sitting on the normal wooden chairs for sure.

I challenge you all to beat this Sainsbury's. I don't reckon you can. It has a great fishmonger counter, a stupendous reduced section, it's designed perfectly so that it's easy to navigate, it's since been expanded MASSIVELY, I've been given free cake at the café on a number of occasions (tip: go a short while before it closes and sometimes if you're enjoying a hot beverage they'll offer you the cakes left over as opposed to them going to waste), but the biggest sell? The celebrities. This being the only large Sainsbury's near the city centre, well, even TV stars have to do their grocery shopping occasionally. I've spotted that psychologist who used to go on Big Brother there on several occasions, you know, the really orange one. He was in front of me in the queue once. A heavily pregnant Leanne from Coronation Street was pushing a trolley around one time, in fact at some point I've probably spotted every member of the Coronation Street cast shopping in there. Deirdre grabbed a trolley and some fans said, 'Where's Ken?' to which she laughed jovially, probably secretly wanting to punch them. The biggest regular... or should I say smallest is Audrey, a woman so narrow in real life she disappears if she turns to the side. I've seen her easily more than ten times. Once I said to my friend, 'Let's follow her. She's so narrow, I want to see what's in her trolley.' 'I bet it's full of Tic Tacs,' he replied. The newest addition is Rhys from Hollyoaks, he's in here quite a bit and gets a fair bit of attention from gaggles of giggly girls. I mentioned this to my friend, who said, 'Oh yeah, he lives just off the Mancunian Way.' I love the way people say that, like they know them. In fact he probably does. Or has a friend who does. So, if you want to see the strange juxtaposition of the lower social classes grabbing cider in pyjamas and slippers (WHEN did this become a trend?) and the Coronation Street elite stocking up on their 5-a-day, get yourself to the Salford Sainsbury's. You won't regret it.

Decent spread!! I seem to be forever on the road, life and me are always on the move and I spend more time staring at lines on the motorway then most. Having whizzed past this Sainsbury's on at least a billion occasions, I decided to take up the challenge put forth by Emma to the Lou and see if I too could spot any lebrities!!! Now straight away I knew this was going to be a struggle, why? Well you see I don't watch TV. I stopped watching neighbours around the time Imbruglia left. Watching Corrie or any other imperial leather/dove makes me feel claustrophobic and suicidal!! I find them mind numbingly....... merde??!! I wouldn't know a corrie or a holyoaks star if they walked around with their heat magazine pictures glued to their foreheads. So it was merely down to some boring shopping I'm afraid. Now when it comes to Sainsbury's everytime I go to a different one I feel as if I'm cheating on the fallowfield branch. Oh how I remember the student days moping around with flat mates having a jolly old time, banterous innocent lazy times (sigh)!!! I merely came to this one for convenience purposes as I was driving to Manchester and doing the usual milk and bread run!!! On a random note by the way fellow yelpoppodoms...is it just me or have you ever thought.... how on earth are Sainsbury's still surviving!!?? I mean both Tesco and Asda are miles ahead in most departments!! It must be the Emma Lou esq faithful loyal customers that is keeping them afloat!! Location wise it is fantastic, however sorry Emma Lou Tesco and Asda would take the biscuit for me. Asda walmart and Tesco 24 hours are just too tempting and cheap for my $$!!!

You drive in to the car park.... it tells you your car registration. DUN DUN DUHHH! Apart from the Big Brother car park to prevent people coming to park all day there, it's a very efficient way of keeping people moving so you can get a decent space. Now the trolley's require a £1 coin, so make sure to keep one spare (or get one of those token's you can put on your keys!). Walking in to this store is a spacious area, scrap that, everywhere is pretty spacious in here which is great. Compared to other superstores where their aisles are cramped, this is a place that is more accommodating, fresh and relieving. They have definitely accounted for lots of shoppers making their way through the store! The lighting is bright, airy and not too gleaming on your eyes. As you walk in on your right will be the clothing and there's a big section dedicated to this. I've greatly appreciated the range of items available to buy when I've been desperate for something. AND there's always a sale on lots of items! As usually, I'm moving swiftly on to their gluten-free range. WOW. They've actually got *drum roll* big gingerbread men biscuits! They're soft, and so yummy! And and and they have everything gluten-free you could possibly hope for in a store. Compared to other big retailers, such as Tesco nearby, Sainsburys has 1-up'd them on their bread range. Possibly 1-up'd even Asda. If you need any help, ask a staff member and they will be more than willing to direct you or find something you're looking for with a smile on their face. This place makes me panic less about Saturday shoppers and Saturday shopping in general.

This is a nice sized supermarket, not too big and overpowering. It has an intimate feel. This store was modernised in recent times and looks better now. There is a range of food stocked with ample fridge and freezer space and always bargains to be had. The customer service is very good with knowledgeable staff always willing to help. There is a new TU clothing range section along with electronics, DVDs and books. The hot food section is good with a range of food on offer. At lunch time they offer hot beef sandwiches and at the weekend roast potatoes and stuffing along with various parts of chicken. There is ample parking as well as a cheap petrol station. The store is set in a retail park with other big stores.

This store is brilliant. The layout is perfect and it's not a large and overpowering store. Things are very easy to find and it's more than likely that they'll be a staff member free to help you if you need it. The selection is good and the offers to be had are excellent. Parking is very good and and it's rare you can't get a trolley either. The staff who work there are very loyal to the company and very friendly. Most of the Staff who i've dealt with have done at least 5+ years service. A really good store, with a brilliant atmosphere. There is a sense of feeling part of a community when you shop here.

Large and well stocked supermarket with a good world food section and a great reduced section! Best to hit it at about 5pm for the bargains. Lovely homeware section that's good for seasonal presents and supplies, and the 'make your own pizzas' counter by the deli is great fun. Can't resist the nectar offers either!

This is a super huge Sainsbury's!! Located on the retail park of Regent Road, just outside the city centre, this particular store boasts a sign on one of their doors saying no food or drink allowed in this store!!!! Hmmmm!!! A great place for a weekly or even monthly shop, not ideal if you are just picking up a loaf of bread though as the queues are not what you fancy standing in for such a small item! They have the full TU range of clothing as well as household bits and pieces, electronics, entertainment and toys! Not your average Sainsbury's local! They also boast a café, which serves both hot and cold food! Beware though when coming to a store this size * you will probably spend a fortune!!!!

I have only been to this sainsbury's once, but it seems like a really good store. It has different stuff to other branches I have been to, it has a large car park so its easy to park, but the store itself is not too big and daunting like a lot of Tesco and Asda branches tend to be. Things are laid out really well and the staff are helpful. It is also near a big retail park so you can park in Sainsbury's, nip across to the retail park and then do your supermarket shopping. very good. I like it :)

This sainsburys is just outside the center of manchester and very conveniently located for those who have a car because of the car park. The have a very good selection of fresh meat and fish with their own counters. They have also improved the store recently with a pharmacy where u can go and get ur prescriptions and advise from the on site pharmacist. The selection of clothes for all the family is very good with the emphasis on their own brand TUI. The have a good selection of electrical and home products. So if u ever need tv, camera, mobile phone, kettleetc this is the place to come. Their bedding is also value for money too. The instore cafe sells a selection of snacks and meals throughout the day, so u will not be hungry. The instore bakery gives off a really appetising smell of freshly baked bread each time u go in!!! highly recommended Oh and u sometimes see the odd famouse celebrity in store too!!!
