A remarkable reliquary with thousands of saints’ relics, regular visitation hours, and docent‑led tours. Long regarded as one of the largest collections outside the Vatican, with active services and tours listed for 2025.

What a beautiful sacred space! The life-sized Stations of the Cross are truly incredible and deeply moving. The immense collection of relics is remarkable and beautifully displayed. The docents were very gracious and helpful. There is a restroom in the chapel and a museum/gift shop across the street. Parking is free and easy right next to the chapel. Definitely recommend a visit to this lovely and unique chapel!

Absolutely Stunning! The moment I walked in i had chills all over. The feeling and presence of Our Father was in such abundance. Staff was graciously delightful. My daughter and I left there with smiles & thankfulness.

St. Anthony’s Chapel was built by Fr. Suitbert Mollinger in 1880 in the Troy Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The chapel houses approximately 5,000 religious relics, making it the largest collection of relics outside the Vatican. Some of the highlights of the collection include a splinter of the True Cross, a thorn from the Crown of Thorns, a piece of the stone from the Holy Sepulcher and a relic for each of the 12 apostles. In addition to the relics, there are life-sized Stations of the Cross carved from wood. The relics were acquired by Fr. Mollinger with his own funds from inherited family money. His primary goal was to protect the relics during times of political upheaval in Europe. We were very fortunate to meet Steve McCauley at Mass. His wife Sue is one of the docents and he has learned a lot of from her; he was kind enough to take us on a private tour of the chapel!

If I have my facts correct, this Catholic chapel has the most relics in America and 2nd most in the entire world. It's not the easiest place to get to, but it's worth the drive. The chapel is beautiful, the stations of the cross are amazing, and the relics are a real treasure.

A very spiritual church! Between 4-5000 relics and a wonderful tour! This is one stop that must be seen in person. Parking is accessible.

This is an amazing chapel that is elaborately decorated. Filled with lots of relics. I would recommend coming here to say some prayers and take in the beauty.

Truly an awe-inspiring wonder of the Catholic world. Make sure you get there right at 12:00 when it opens so you have the full 3 hours to visit, and grab one of the guides to show you the highlights of the place. Don't miss out on the museum, either. This is a wonderful place to come and make friends with the saints, venerating ones you already have a devotion to and finding new gems you never dreamed of encountering. Some highlights of the collection include a thorn from the crown of thorns, a piece of the true cross, a piece of Our Lady's veil, and a piece of St Joseph's staff. They have just about everything you could think of and much more than you could imagine.

This Chapel is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh. It's so beautiful inside and it is very relaxing. There are so many different relics and things to look at inside. The structure of the building and all the amazing details add to this spectacular experience. There were people inside when I went so make sure to be respectful and not to be too loud as some people may be praying while inside. When you go outside across the road they have a little gift shop with a lot of various religious items. The gift shop is very nice and the lady was extremely respectful.
