On Brady Street, this lively, independent spot turns out a dialed-in double smash with American cheese, griddled onions, pickles, and house sauce. It’s been singled out by Milwaukee Magazine and noted by local critics for balance and value. Late hours and a playful menu make it an easy burger-and-drinks stop.

I finally made it to try their food, and it was not disappointing at all. First, we went on a Friday afternoon which is an awesome time to go if you can. It was not busy at all, and the service was quite top tier to me. The gentleman behind the bar greeted us, took our order and was quite attentive to us. I really liked him! The food was good. We had the cheeseburger and fries as well as a fried chicken sandwich and fries. I must say . . . The fries were soooooo well seasoned and delicious. This is a nice spot on Brady!

Google
Heard about their delicious burgers and finally made it in to give on a taste. It did not disappoint me from the first bite. The Bibiana Burger was nicely seasoned with a delicious beefy, greasy cheese flavor on the first bite. The bartenders were all cool folks who made the establishment feel welcoming from the first step in. Awesome vibe and the DJ spinning some lovely EDM to go with my dinner. Nice selection of tap beer. I'm definitely going back to try their famed breakfast.

Google
This is definitely a place to enjoy a late night on Brady with house music, normally a live DJ, and laser lights. It's a pretty small brunch/food menu. The best option is the burger (even the garden veggie patty option is good). The fries were top notch. The rest of the food was okay.

Google
Amazing burgers and apps...Definitely a Wisconsin-style joint, with stellar cheese curds and Spotted Cow 🐄 Saint Bibiana has established themselves as a popular spot on Brady Street for early morning food, brunch, and late night burgers. This restaurant is also a local favorite for late night partying, and the bar turns into a really fun club environment that attracts a really fun crowd for an amazing night on Brady Street. Saint Bibiana is also a major host to many of the summer events, for both local and city-wide, and many people end up at this bar because of the overwhelming reputation they have grown!

Excellent burger. So happy we stopped in. Service was good and friendly. I'll be back.

Google
heard abt the smash burger, so we wanted to try it. The burger was overly salty. Less salt, it would have been great. It was so salty, we couldn't eat. My relative had the chicken and that was good. Seasoned and crispy. We experienced a person hanging out near the bar area that clearly was not there to eat or drink. It made guests uncomfortable and no one addressed it. So, the group was with was ready to go.

Google
Super happy hour prices on food and drinks!! Great, friendly service!!

Google
One of the best burgers in Milwaukee and they have been voted the top five ever since they've opened. Fantastic service from the waitress staff and on weekends the second floor turns into a dance bar! Worth checking it out and stopping for a drink.

Yelp
Went here for the first Sunday Open Deck event hosted by House and Espresso. This place looks hip, with their two story high vaulted ceiling building offering a spacious feel and a bit eclectic. I didn't get to try their food yet but I did have a mimosa perfect for a Sunday afternoon refreshment while vibing to some House music curated by local DJs. This place is set up for really blasting music with what I counted as at least 6 speakers and one subwoofer. Lots of ceiling lighting to change up the mood. Will definitely come back to hang and try their food next time!

Yelp
After my visit with my friends to Slow Buffalo recently, me and one of my friends were hoping St. Bibiana's burgers will make up for the smash burgers we were expecting but didn't get at the other establishment. I made it there before they did so I sat at the bar and I went ahead and ordered a beer and shot and they finally arrived 10 minutes later to which we moved to one of the tables. After they placed their drink order we were ready to order. Because you get two 3 oz patties, me and my friend went with ordering an extra patty so that way to ensure we're getting about 1/2 lb of meat and my other friend went with chicken strips and fries with an order of cheese curds as an app. They were pretty good for bread curds! Nice and crispy on the outside with a nice and gooey center as any good curd should be with a touch of saltiness of the sprinkled parm on top that also came with a side of marinara. We were just about done with our curds before I food came out. Talk about a piping hot trio of beefy goodness! There was only ketchup at the table, normally I would ask for mustard but I was starving and was fine with just rocking with the one condiment. I just went with pickles as I always do on the side and my friend with the Bibiana burger with veggies on it. God bless America, that was a good damn burger! The cheese so ooey gooey, pickles there nice and crisp and this may have been the first time I may have almost ate all of my fries with my burger. My friend was in absolute heaven and we both agreed that going with the extra patty was the way to go! Not too mention to the bun was nice and toasty and I love anyone who offers sesame buns. My other friend with the strips on the other hand, she liked them but you can tell they were not breaded in house. Overall, we were happy campers with our burgers and without doubt I would be back not for just that tasty ass burger again, but for the happy hour because those are good looking prices lol.

Yelp
To preface I did not want to try this place after hearing about my parents previous experience. However, I gave it a chance and regret it. My parents went to Saint Bibiana to try their burgers. My mom asked for lettuce and tomatoes on her burger. When she received her burger, it didn't have lettuce, so she asked again for lettuce. Their waitress brought the lettuce over in her bare hands, no napkin, no plate, just in her hands. It's gross, to say the least. After that experience, we gave it one more chance. When our waiter brought our food, he only brought mine and my dad's first, then my mom's. I had my phone up and was clearly trying to take a picture of my food until the waiter came over, grabbed my food, gave it to my mom, and then gave me mine. I understand the mistake of giving me my mom's food, but taking the food when I was in the middle of taking a picture was rude. The overall experience was terrible and I do not recommend going. The food was very underwhelming and we did not finish our food. The burgers are excessively greasy. For the ambience it's your typical bar despite the decor. However, there are way better options in Milwaukee and even in the Brady area.

Yelp
I kept seeing the burgers were a must try so decided to come check it out myself! The food overall was pretty good! We both got the smash burgers which were HUGE btw! It came with fries as well! We also got a drink each and the bill ended up being around $38ish. The food was made fast and fresh- you can see the chef making it along the side since it's an open layout.

Yelp
Please read along about my journey to satisfy my most intense craving for a burger. IFYKYK, it was such a strong craving that my whole Friday night would've been ruined if I didn't get my hands on a quality burger. I braved 40° weather and the traffic from the Milwaukee Bucks game for this burger. FOOD: I ordered 2 things: 1) the cheese curds and 2) the infamous Bibiana burger. The cheese curds were top tier. I like that their cheese curds are accompanied by marinara sauce (I wish it came with more). The golden crust was achieved. There was a cheese pull with every bite. Bonus: their curds aren't oil saturated. However, it took maybe 30 minutes for the cheese curds to come out. The Bibiana burger took a total of 1hr to get to me from when I entered the bar. The burger was worth the wait. Very appropriate portions. You get a mountain of fries with your burger. I see the hype behind this burger. SERVICE: The service left some room for improvement. I acknowledge that it was quite crowded when I came in. I as a part of 1 had to sit at a table since all the bar seating was taken. I waited at my table 10 minutes before having to go up to the counter to ask the male bartender to send someone to take my order. On top of that, 2 people came after me and were helped before me. Shout out to the trio of drunk ladies that sent someone to take my order. They were fantastic! I will say the server redeemed herself and I got a tequila shot on the house. She was very sweet and apologetic. She came by at least 3 times to check on me after she realized she missed me. AMBIANCE: While the name of the place is Saint Bibiana, I was very lost on the decor. It's a bunch of topless female angels. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say. So this is your fair warning about it the decor of the bar.

Yelp
Ordered burger for takeout. Was ready in less than 20. Good portion of fries, both were warm. Came with a pickle and the burger bun and size was decent. Two 1/3 patties and the sauce tastes just like Big Mac sauce. So pretty much a fancy Big Mac imo. Was $16.

Yelp
Went here on a Monday at noonish 3/24/25 to try the fabulous looking cheeseburger and the place was completely empty. The guy behind the bar took my food and drink order as I moved to a side table. Some dude walks in and all his attention is on him with what sounds like drama after my food order was placed. My food hit my table and I never saw him again. After I was done eating I wanted a container for my leftovers but it was clear after I pushed my basket to the edge of the table for approximately 10 minutes that he's more interested in the conversation with the other dude's conversation. So I walk up to the bar to ask for a container and the check and I'm still being ignored. When he finally acknowledges my request he ignores me again to focus on probably the beer distributor guys because he is now going through a plastic crate of tapper handles and putting me on hold again while I'm standing at the bar trying to leave for the last 20 minutes. WTF I'm the only paying customer in the place and my service is super s#ity, that A#ole still got a $10 tip on a $24 lunch which I'm currently evaluating and adjusting my over tipping for poor service. Now that my poor service is out there let's talk about the food which was the double smash cheeseburger and frys. It was a pulp fiction that's a tasty cheeseburger moment and the best cheeseburger I have had in a minute, absolutely pure goodness in its raw form but you can season it up if you need. It's fresh beef with a grilled onions, cheese, pickles on a fresh bun. It's juicy fresh beef/cheese and grilled onions are fu%king delicious in its simplicity. The frys were not as fresh as the cheeseburger and were a restaurant warehouse quality but they were very good and seasoned style thin cut fresh cooked to order thin/crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall my service was poor but the food was excellent and a pretty spectacular cheeseburger and some may season it up but I completely enjoyed the ala natural of the bare naturalness of the simple fresh ingredients. It's a shame that my service was like ignore me by the Barney 5 looking guy because the cheeseburger is very good and he turned a 4 star into a 1 star review for a place that's not a 1 star place.

Yelp
Friendly service, great food and excellent drinks. Modest alcohol selection. Music is playing but not too loud where you aren't able to hold conversations. Came in at 4pm Friday and only one other customer present. By 5pm it was already 60% full. Also, the bar stools are actually comfortable. The Bibiana burger was excellent. Well balanced between all elements, generous portion of super crispy fries.

Yelp
Good burgers and fries with tasty sauces including honey mustard and thousand island. Their burgers are stacked and well done. I'm going to have a few more in the city though to see how they compare.

Yelp
Service was outstanding. Friendly staff. Great vibe. Food was solid! They are slinging one of the best burgers in town. Great fries too. Solid Saint Sauce too.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our recent, first-time, visit to Saint Bibiana. The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent. The restaurant/bar had a great vibe. The weather outside was beautiful and we sat at a table near an open window. Like a lot of restaurants/bars in Milwaukee, this place is small and long/skinny. There is a sizable bar and minimal hightop seating. If you're looking to visit with a large group, this may not be an optimal place. We found everything to be clean. St. Bibiana has a small menu and yet has variety. Our group had burgers, thing 2, and the big ass burrito, as well as the fried pickles. We all were pleasantly surprised with how great the food was. Seriously, some of the best french fries and fried pickle chips I've ever had. To top off the excellent food, the prices were really affordable. We also had great service. Our server was very attentive, continually refilling our water glasses. Overall, we had a excellent experience at Saint Bibiana! We would return again, and we definitely would recommend!

Yelp
In the past, I had only been for drinks. I heard the burgers were great here and had to try it out. Let me tell you... I was not disappointed. The burger was out of this world. The bun was soft, the cheese was melty, and the burger was the perfect thickness. Also, the fries were delicious, and I appreciate the garnish for a little color on the plate. The bloody mary was solid too. I would recommend getting it spicy. My mom and I sat by the window and our waiter was welcoming and attentive. The menu had some creative, cheeky names which was fun as well. Inside, they have some cute decor. Definitely worth a try for lunch!

Yelp
I think they had a rough night...and it sounds like that happens semi-regularly. Going to a concert at the Vivarium and scouted out some places to eat. In the mood for a burger and this was very highly rated locally. So we stopped in. Not overly busy. We ordered food (loaded tots, a Bibiana Burger and the special which was tomato soup and a grilled cheese with ham.). Something was obviously going on in the kitchen, appears maybe only one employee cooking and they might have ran out of something. Anyways the waitress came over 3-4 times to tell us that there's a kitchen issue and apologized. She offered us some drinks even to help, she was super friendly and I felt bad for her and the staff (all were so nice). Food took an hour+ to get and we never got the tots as an appetizer or with the meal. That being said the burger was amazing, best one I've had in Milwaukee. Fries were not only outstanding but there were lots of them! I had half of my wife's grilled cheese and ham and WOW, maybe the best ham and cheese ever. Tomato soup was very unique but my wife loved it! It was a cold night and we had lots of time, so the long wait wasn't a big deal. I can't wait to come back and eat here again so I can taste the deliciousness and change my review to a 5!!!

Yelp
Solid smash burgers, and the cauliflower was outstanding. Great vibe and atmosphere, great service.

Yelp
Best burger in Milwaukee.. no Wisconsin... maybe worldwide?! Saint Bibiana has a special place in my heart and I will always continue to come back for the St. Bibiana burger.

Yelp
Great yes burger with plate thanks you pad Thais was amazing compliments to the chef. The ambience was beautifu l

Yelp
The food is so good at St. Bibiana's. Killer burgers, pickle chips, they even got a brie grilled cheese that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It's the perfect place to catch a game, with a really cool atmosphere & clientele. What puts St. Bib's over the top though is the owner & staff. Everybody is so kind & cool, & they make sure nobody feels left out. The cooks are really sweet too. To me St. Bib's is almost a second home, & one of the best third spaces in the entire city!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for burgers and beers and actually really enjoyed my burger. I was a bit skeptical due to not hearing much about this spot, but I'm glad I ordered one. Fries were also delicious.

Yelp
4 stars because of the location! not a fan of brady st because of the college kids and overall obnoxious vibe but their bibiana burger was great!! layered on the meat with nice gooey cheese. i looked high and low for a sesame seed bun specifically and theirs was delicious!! nice crispy fries too, a bit oversalted but the crunch made up for it.
google avatar

Abby M.

Yelp
Eating here felt like I stumbled upon a hidden gem! Great food, really cool atmosphere, & I'm sure would be a fun spot to be on a night out. We came strictly for the food & I didn't leave disappointed. The BLT was impressive for being such a simple sandwich and it was impossible to stop their fries. The BLT has an option to add egg and I didn't order that but my sandwich still came with it on it, so that was strange but I wasn't charged for it so that's why I'm sticking with a 4 star rating! I'm sure I will be back!
google avatar

Lauri H.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and very plentiful. Server was pleasant and on top of things. I ordered a mimosa and watched her make it thinking that's not much champagne and tumbler was only half full. Then a friend or regular came and sat at bar and ordered a mimosa. She got a FULL tumbler and over half of it was champagne. Torqued me a bit. But the nice breeze coming through opened windows and flavor/amount of food will bring me back

Mark P.

Yelp
Burgers were bland (although described very appetizingly on the menu) and excessively greasy. Perhaps the mountain of fries was to make up for that? The only saving attribute was the nice open air window seats looking out on the street. Service was fine.
google avatar

Cristy Z.

Yelp
This may be my FAVE spot on Brady 4 all of the Saints & Sinners.. such a cool vibe for all of the Saints & Sinners;)

Erin D.

Yelp
Happy hour Monday through Friday 4 to 6! The crispy cauliflower appetizer was amazing and the burger....probably top 5 burgers I've had!
google avatar

Theresa B.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to try the "best burger in the central time zone". Wow, underwhelming. Burger was decent but I've definitely had many that were far superior. Bartender was also our server (Monday @ 6pm), we were the only people on the entire Place and he seemed annoyed to have to help us at first. Sample appetizer was quite good although menu says its the loaded fries and its just the regular ones that come with your meal. No description of what the sauces were that came with it but they were good, cheese for pretzels was lukewarm at best.
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
First time eating at Saint Bibiana, I wanted to take my cousins somewhere on Brady that was new to all of us. It was pretty slow on a Sunday, one cook in kitchen. I always like the vibe inside, love the house music nights. However I wasn't overly excited about the food. I ordered The Thing 2, to my disappointment the sandwich was poorly assembled and the chicken was extra burnt. I did end up eating the sandwich but it wasn't the most appetizing meal.
google avatar

Kaitlynn M.

Yelp
Okay okay okay -- HOW have I not written a review for St Bibs yet?! I am disappointed in myself and apologize to the Yelp community in advance for not letting you all know about Brady's newest gem! St Bibiana is a sister restaurant of the beloved Dorsia down the street (and Jo Cat's but I don't often go there!). St Bibs has an incredible team behind the bar (Brett and Joanna being my favorites!) and the boss chef Cat in the kitchen. She comes up with new soups each week which are INSANE (I know everyone raves about the burger, but the soup is just 100!). On Monday St Bibs has a SIN brunch which is great! They have an awesome food menu and rotating drink specials. On Sunday, they do not have a kitchen (yet!) but they are open and Joanna will always order in some delicious game day eats for those at the bar to enjoy. 100% recommend the OGB if you go (so delish!) and the pretzel bites. Hope you all enjoy a trip here soon. You will not regret it!

Yelp
I so love this place. Great bartenders (well, the owners and they are awesome) and amazing food! Breakfast all day, a rarity on the East Side, and it's soooooo good.
google avatar

Yelp
I decided to give this place a try. The food was good! I got the chicken, pesto, and mozzarella flatbread sandwich. I also got the thai chicken wrap. Fresh and light. .
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The service is amazing. If you go make sure you try the big a** burrito and any burger. My bfs and i's favorite drinks are old fashioned and amaretto sour and.. food and drink were made to perfection. Would 100% come back

Yelp
We stopped in to St Bibiana's for Sunday Brunch. Although the menu was pretty limited, the options were quality. My friend was hoping to do an avocado toast flight, but they let us know they were only offering the lox. She said that it was delicious and a great deal. I had "Thing 2" on the menu which was a chicken sandwich with fries. Although the sandwich was very messy, it was very flavorful and cooked well. The fries were super crunchy and seasoned to perfection. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very kind and attentive. The environment was chill and the space was bright and welcoming. I will definitely stop in for a drink when I'm not so hungover.

María L.

Yelp
Heard this place had the best burger, and was very disappointed . Services was slow, it took around 50 mins to an hour to get our food. People who came in after us got their food before us. I got the burger and my husband got the chicken sandwich. My burger was really raw and not in a median rare kind of way, and my husband said he felt like his was a frozen patty. Very sad because this place look so adorable. Hopefully it was just a rough night.
google avatar

Yelp
I love St. Bibiana's! Great food and good people! The staff are nice and the chef Catherine is amazing! She runs weekly soup and food specials that are always a hit ! I eat here a couple times a month!

Yelp
Food is very good. People are super cool. Brady Street is loaded with great places however St. Bibiana still stands out in total excellence!! Thank y'all's so much for having me!! I needed a place to chill and vent after getting treated like total trash from Walgreens!! Y'all's went above and beyond to make things right for me and I thank you and will let others know!! Oh!! And by the way BEST BRANDY OLD FASHIONS EVER!!!!!! And I love the artwork!!

Gregorio G.

Yelp
Went in on a thursday for happy hour burgers, Kate is the absolute best. Amazing service, and amazing food. One of the cleaner and comfier spots on Brady.

Yelp
BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH IN MILWAUKEE Definitely a hidden gem of Brady St. - happened to see a friend post a pic on Instagram from here and I knew I had to try their chicken sandwich. It's perfectly crispy and tender and the pepper aioli on the sandwich is absolutely amazing. The fries are also some of the best I've had. I also usually order the pretzel bites with beer cheese dip, the pretzels are perfectly fluffy and the cheese is so good (I always keep the extra to dip my fries in). I've never seen more than two bartenders working here at one time, and the bartenders also do table service so they're stretched a little thin sometimes. It may take a minute to get service, but once they take your order food and drinks are usually out pretty quickly!
google avatar

Geno P.

Yelp
I read the good reviews about the burger, and I try to support the local businesses around our workplace, so I gave it a shot. Ordered the burger and it didn't disappoint!! Juicy, cheesy, oniony, and the sauce on the side was a very good compliment! The fries were hot and crispy, with a delicious coating. My buddy had the pulled pork sandwich, and he was impressed with the quality. Service was very friendly (Jo the bartender) and I will be back to try the other selections. St. Bibiana's is definitely worth giving it a whirl.

Erick K.

Yelp
Friendly service people and good cooks/food. Both chefs are great and the bartenders are amicable. On weekend nights and maybe Thurs there is a DJ upstairs. Beers are about 3.50 for a PBR tallboy.
google avatar

Eric T.

Yelp
The St. Bibiana's burger is the best in the city if not the entire Midwest. Literally mouthwatering. Sit at the bar. The bartenders are attentive and approachable. The interior style tilts toward dancing hotspot, which it does become at night, but don't let that distract you from ordering the burger.
google avatar

Andrea K.

Yelp
Stopped in this evening and I was surprised to see how quiet the place was. We sat at the bar and were super impressed with the friendly service we received. Brett was a great bartender who poured really good drinks and made us feel very welcome. We ate dinner - fried pickles were very good. Nice and crispy. They came with a dipping sauce that had a lot of heat to it - I would've probably preferred some plain ranch. My husband and I ordered the Brie grilled cheese and the thing #2 and split them. The grilled cheese had a ton of flavor and was my favorite of the two dishes. The thing #2 (fried chicken breast sandwich) was a little overdone and I didn't love it, but it had a ton of potential. The French fries were fabulous, especially with a side of cheese sauce to dip them in. We enjoyed our evening. The place has a nice, friendly and chill vibe. We'll be back!

Yelp
While passing through the Milwaukee-area after dropping one of my kiddos at summer camp, I decided I really needed an amazing burger. After doing some light research, and knowing nothing about Milwaukee outside of a high school trip to Summer Fest, I stopped in at Saint Bibiana, and wow what an amazing experience! Me, being a square old guy from Chicago, I didn't expect much from an edgy/hipster bar in an edgy/hipster part of town, but I was warmly greeted by a bartender (believe nickname was "Chef Red") and what appeared to be the manager-a beautiful and uniquely tatted bartender, Joanne (what's up West Chicago)! While I'm sure this place is many things at night, esp in this part of town, the vibe was dope with an amazing playlist on a mid-day Sunday and big screen tvs showing euro cup, and a diverse patronage...almost like a rainbow coalition version of "Cheers" (look it up Gen Z'ers). Anyways, the big show here is the Bibiana Burger-seems like a smash burger with absolutely perfect caramelized crusty edges and a sauce that far exceed the homage to the Big Mac it's intended to be. If this place was in Wicker Park or West Town, it would've won a James Beard award for hospitality and food (and the burger would be $25 instead of $14). Ok-I don't write many reviews-unless I hate a place or I love it, and you can tell which side this one falls on. Cannot wait to come back!

Yelp

Yelp
My day was completely terrible until I walked into St. Bibiana today. My kinda sorta girlfriend and I broke up this morning, so I decided to drink to deal with my emotions. So glad I did! When I walked into this establishment, I immediately felt welcome. Brett, who I assume is the owner or the bar, gave me a NERF gun and let me shoot it at Joanna. I missed, but it was okay. She made me the best screwdriver I've ever had. I think her and I might buy a house in the country a few years from now. Gary was here too. He works at Elwoods and he's awesome. He came here for food but only because Elwoods doesn't have food. I also ate a hot dog, but it was one of those fancy ten dollar ones. It was by far the best ten dollar hot dog I've ever eaten. The music is fantastic here too. Overall, I'm still completely miserable, but I forgot about my sadness for a little bit while I was here. Five stars!

Yelp
Picked up the burger, the grilled cheese, and the fried pickles for take out tonight. But I'm not going to speak about that food because they were all tainted by the turd who packed them up and handed me the bag. A smile goes a long way. A "Hello, what can I do for you?" tells me that I'm a valued customer. Similarly, an annoyed "Yeah?" goes a long way. Handing over a bag of food with a scowl and turning away without a word tells me I am a customer who should have never come in. The restaurant was not busy. I was kind. And maybe she was having a bad day. But when you are in the service industry you need to fake it. You need to try, at least a little. She didn't. I will not go back to Saint Bibiana. Because who wants a turd with their meal?

Yelp
Offered to start a tab which was rejected. Asked if I wanted to pay after 1.5 drinks. I wasn't bothering anyone and was sticking to myself. The only people in the bar were friends of the bartender. Perhaps a private club notice is required signage on the door. Food was conceptually good. It was poorly cooked. Head chef as great skills, employees need to be retrained.
