I had some out of town visitors for the new year and poutine was high on the list for lunch.
Saint Burger is an attractive site to dine, with a great decor on the main floor, worthy of a visit.
Order has to be placed and paid for, prior to getting to the table, on the upper level. Service was mediocre and we were given a beeper that would go on, when the order was ready for pickup and bring to our table.
I was expecting the place to be packed for lunch on the last day of the year, and interestingly enough, it was rather quiet.
While I wrote earlier that the decor and furniture was inviting but what good is that when it was barricaded, and therefore not accessible.
I tried the Royal poutine that has multiple toppings, including smoked meat, bacon and pepperoni. Quality was just plain simple with the toppings being very dry. Smoke meat has to be moist and juicy, but was anything but this.
The burger was just ok and nothing extraordinary.
Just be careful when sitting on the high chairs as the wooden seats are not solidly attached to the metal frame.
