Tito’s Ceviche and Pisco Opens Second Spot on St. Charles Avenue | Eater New Orleans

"Once a 100-year-old greasy spoon, the St. Charles Tavern sadly closed during the pandemic; its former corner space was later taken over and revamped for the new Tito’s Ceviche and Pisco location." - Clair Lorell

I love this place… Sometimes it’s really packed and there’s a cat in the corner that plays guitar and sings and I like it a favorite time to be there is when it’s kind of quiet just a good vibe in the place original got a good sense of humor they have a good size yard. Outside the back door I understand they play music there sometimes a lot of people go outside to smoke. I’m not gonna tell anybody else about it cause I don’t wanna ruin it. I love this place Tina &Olivia. All the other bartenders. Shay

Went for a birthday party, super nice staff and bartender

Great pool tables, plenty of seating, good music on the jukebox, and a space for live performance. What more does a tavern need?. Awesome spot!

Google
Great place. Would consider it a regular haunt ... Most servers/bartenders are great. Only one i don't like. Pool tables are decent. Back patio is a must. Beer list and available alcohals if solid. Usually a lot of decent people in there. Sadly a high hippie re-re count. And they're ultra hostile when pushing their BS down your throat. But otherwise good place decent dlcrowds mostly. Pretty relaxed atmosphere.

Stopped by to meet friends... and we showed up to an AMAZING band playing LIVE! Great service and drinks, restrooms were SPARKLING CLEAN. In general, a place to come back to

Google
Cool neighborhood bar. Drinks are priced economically and are made well. Lots of can beer and cider options to choose from. Their margarita does not disappoint. Also a great spot for live music!

Google
This place has such a great atmosphere! I love that it is dog friendly and they had live music playing while I was there. I handed out free drinks and we all had a good time!

Google
Great little spot for a drink. Friendly staff, in-house cat, Star Wats pinball and Ms. Pac Man, and pool tables…. what else could you want?

Yelp
I get that South Tucson has a rep for being really scary, but you would never deduce that after a fun evening at Saint Charles Tavern. It's spiritually a sort of dive bar, but you'll second guess that with the dozen or so craft beers on tap, or variety of high quality liquor. On some visits, I get myself a nice Red IPA, and on others, one of Hendrick's seasonal gins with some tonic and fresh citrus. If you're lucky, they'll have one of their small batch cocktails ready to order, like Sangria or Rum Punch. The bartenders here have some underrated skill and could probably expand a real cocktail program if they put their minds together. Billiards inside. Spacious seating outside. Live music almost every weekend. It feels more 4th avenue than 4th avenue does, and I wish it were closer to downtown. Aside from its location, there's really nothing more you could ask for.

Yelp
Stopped in for a bloody mary on a Saturday around noon. Barely anyone was there, but we loved the vibe. The bartender, Tina, was a total sweetheart and made us feel at home. We stayed for another drink because we didn't want to leave. The only thing I wish I could change was that it was closer to my home.

Yelp
Where the local bartenders go to drink! Best in town! Icons - Founder Churchhill (RIP) & wife Elizabeth, Exsul John, Kalkbrenner Jack, Interloper Olivia, Kirsten and soup chef Louyi. Opened in south Tucson (south barrio Barbara Rosa) where no other businesses like them exist. Dive, dark with an outdoor venue patio haven. Rare metal / indie shows. This bar took a chance opening in far south Tucson and we all love & support them dearly always.

Yelp
South Tucson GEM. Sure, it is on the outskirts (for real) of 4th Avenue but check it out sometime. At this time in my life(this was a draft from way back) I was working near Irvington and 12th and w a l k i n g to my rented room on 4th avenue (walking powered by anxiety!) and, delicious craft brews brought to you by Saint Charles Tavern!

Yelp
This is definitely my favorite dive bar in Tucson! They have a wide variety and selection and are pretty quick and make for great conversations when they have time. You are allowed to bring in or order your own food as they provide just alcohol. They have an outdoor area aswell that can be heated when need be. The bar definitely feels like something from a 90s movie great vibe!

Yelp
Great vibe. Chill bartenders. Pool table. And a secret backyard area that has lots of funky art and intrigue.

Yelp
After moving back to Tucson, after being gone 20 years, I was happy to discover this bar. It is a favorite of my friends, and I can see why. The art in the patio, to the friendly bartenders, make this place feel like home.

Yelp
The steel and woodwork alone make me a fan, the industrial feel of the raw and reclaimed wood amazingly done. The tables must be made from old telephone poles so so so cool. Just off south 4th in the beautiful downtown of South Tucson, 1 mile square, this place is not expected. Friday there were 6 bands outside, a guy making these amazing fish taco's on a picnic table. The guttural and completely visceral feel of the space made me feel like I was a friends house, rather than in a bar.

John M.

Yelp
Waited 10 minutes at the bar to not even be acknowledged or served by the bartender who was wearing a shmedium band shirt with a some belly hanging out...

Yelp
My adventures Saturday ended here. This little GEM!! So right when you walk in, the bartender address you right away. Love that!!!! She was personable, conversation was amazing! She was a proped up doll who severed shitty drinks. She was a mysterious ninja with creating masterful drinks. She was fast AF without Sacradicing great flavor!!! Coming from a disappoint at another place, I'm glad I made this stop with my great friends. The environment totally relaxing, chill, dog friendly. If you're wanting a good time but alone...St Charles a place were not only do they ask you your name but makes you a great Drink. Keep the vibe. I'll be back soon

Yelp
What a great find! Saint Charles Tavern has an excellent combination of local/craft beers and chill atmosphere. The outdoor space is tastefully decorated and well covered to protect against the sun. Indoors, the long bar features lots of rail options and about 25 beers on tap. Shannon, the bartender, is the heart and soul of Saint Charles; she offers a kind smile to accompany excellent service. Check this place out for pool tables and for big or small parties--the Saint Charles can accommodate both!

Yelp
Tucked away just south of 22nd on 4th Ave is a very cool little divey neighborhood bar with a full bar + great selection of crap and craft beer..Saint Charles has an eclectic staff of bartenders and an awesome atmosphere that make this place worth hanging out..and most weekdays the tavern has a friendly local or two sitting at the bar with some interesting stories and good conversation..so if you like dive bars that are awesome than you will love this bar!

Yelp
I love me a good dive bar - especially when it opens at 10:00 am. There's a ton of charm to this little place which only makes me want to hang out more. The crazy old gas pump when you first walk in is awesome. What's really nice about this bar is the awesome selection of spirits and brews. Beers and ciders and booze from all over the world can be found here. The selection is seriously off the hook. There's a little something for everyone to try here. It's a very spacious spot with huge windows for natural light during the day, and a couple of pool tables. I like the little nook in the corner by the bar that is perfect for chilling with a group of friends. Add to all this really nice bar staff who will chat with you on a wide range of topics. I very much enjoyed myself and look forward to coming back

Yelp
Love this place!! It's my home away from home! Relaxed, welcoming and beautiful!! Best bartenders in the land, if I do say so myself!

Yelp
I'm partial to this bar, because I met my love here for our first feeling out session. On their own merit, the bar stocks some high class, uncommon liquors and spirits, while still reserving plenty of the good old go-to's. I'm giving the bartenders top compliments on the Bloody Mary's. I don't want to pay for fancy garnishes, I want a tasty, punching cocktail which isn't overwhelming with cheap vodka.

Yelp
My sis has been wanting to bring me here for quite sometime now.. Bcuz of the location I wasn't really feeling it at first. I finally decided to come check it out and I'm glad I did! When I walked in I was so surprised! It has a cool vintage vibe and theres tons of space. They have a huge patio with alot of seating. Plus, I love that they have a regular jukebox where u can look thru the cd's! No electronic jukebox..yay! Great beer selection and the owners and the staff were all very friendly and inviting. Definitely will be back:)

Yelp
I absolutely adore this bar! We came with a few friends to celebrate New Years, the outside was a bit intimidating but the inside has a modern antique/vintage twist. The inside has sleek wooden floors, large tables for groups, pews from an older Tucson chrurch, and near the bar if you look at the ceiling there's tile from the Centennial Hall. Used to be a brothel in the early 1900's! I'm in love with the decor and the history of it that comes together in here. There's two pool tables and one pinball machine if you wanna play any games. There's a nice large backyard area to hangout or smoke. The bathrooms are very well kept. Grand selection of drinks at great prices. The bar doesn't fit a stereotype when it comes to patrons: all are welcome! It's a fairly new place and I'm pretty impressed! I got to meet and introduce myself to the owners, Elizabeth and Church Hill, and they were very proud of their bar and extremely polite to their customers. I definitely see myself coming here more often.

Yelp
Visiting from Seattle. If you're looking for a chill comfortable spot that you can just kick back and relax, I highly rec

Yelp
We have visited three times now. Service is excellent and it is a really cool dive bar with great atmosphere. I plan to return many times.

Yelp
This bar has amazing ambience and great liquor selection. I wish the bartenders at happy hour had any sort of hustle. 3 different groups waiting for drinks doesn't hurry them up at all. It's the most casual service I've ever seen, as if they were making drinks in their own home and had to find each ingredient. We've been in often and been served by several different barkeeps and it's always the same thing.

Yelp
I went for Happy Hour on New Years Day with my friends Diane and Tracy. I loved the vibe here!! It was so friendly, like a bunch of people who have known each other forever getting together. You can bring your own food in, which several people did. There's a good combination of draft and craft beers, comfy couches, and a jukebox. There's also a room with pool tables. Great place!

Yelp
Sad - I wanted to like this place the the woman who was behind the bar, looked right past us 3 times. Apparently we were good enough to order a drink.

Yelp
Great out of the way bar. Good selection of beers and liquor. Their onsite made sangria is amazing. Super friendly bartenders and nice patrons. It felt comfortable and very un-university like.... great change of pace.
google avatar

Yelp
Great tavern on the southside/downtown with a welcoming feel. The bartender was friendly and helpful. There's lots of seating (gigantic wood tables and church pews as well as bar seats) and a large selection of craft beers and a fine alcohol selection. Charles has a bunch of games you can pull out and play, and the atmosphere is good for chilling, shooting pool, and enjoying some cold ones. I'll be happy to come back here again!
google avatar

Mel G.

Yelp
Great bar, lots of good brews on tap--huge space. Tucked away, which I like. Hopefully it stays a best kept secret (kinda like Tucson itself). :)
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a few times. Great bar, usually a fun time. This time though, a few people in my party were accosted by a 'regular' aka a drunk asshole trying to start a fight with anyone and everyone. Nothing wrong with drunk regulars, however if they're rude and trying to get violent with other patrons, they are driving away customers. And especially those there for the first time. Sadly, not great for business.
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
So much fancy booze! Coming from a bartender you can find whatever you like here. There's enough space to bring your friends! Play some pool. 5 -stars and south of 22nd. An accomplishment

Yelp
Great bar!! Comfortable environment, nice bartenders, cheap drinks, good jukebox, and pool tables. What else do you need?

Yelp
Love everything about this place. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing at the same time. Great service, large selection of beers on tap as well as other liquors. The staff are all nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend coming out for an enjoyable time. I've never had anything but a wonderful experience and I've gone back many times.
