Google
The winning point for me was their back patio which allows dogs, would be nice on a sunny day, and is right on the bike trail. Service was very friendly and a nice experience over all. Only downer was that some of the portions were pretty small, which felt off since the dishes were $16-18 for brunch and only decent quality. Expect to order an appetizer for $20pp at brunch.

The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious! It was just what we needed at night. I definitely recommend the summer pasta if you're a vegetarian.

Google
Don't walk but run to this cafe for brunch. Delicious and unique combinations of flavors, local ingredients and careful consideration in their menu. Simple yet sophisticated! The most delicious eggs benny and their burger is downright amazing!

Andrea Hidalgo

Google
We went there for brunch and waited 45 minutes for our order; not to mention the waiter forgot to bring is the cinnamon bun we had ordered at the beginning. Not one person checked on us during the time we were waiting, even though several servers kept passing us by. We had to flag someone down to check on our order, and it must have been sitting there for the whole time because my eggs Benedict were all sorts of cold and stale. It was not a good experience and not sure that I’ll go back

Food and drinks on the pricey side, but all amazing. Charming atmosphere, and we particularly enjoyed the heat lamps on the balcony when it got chillier.

Google
The service was mostly good. Kind of PNW ackward but the drinks were amazing. The one in the photo is a tequila based smokey drink with a lime element. Delish. Happy hour was great! Got the fries, but I wish they were truffle or some thing that set them apart. Also got the cheese spread. Splurge for the 3 different cheeses, really good with the toasted baguette and jam.

Outstanding beef brisket hash!!! Service was a bit slow though. Overall: nice ambiance and good food. Plenty of parking outside as well.

Google
Cute, clean and little place. We waited a bit long time to get our food during their happy hour. Happy hour food and drink for 2 costed about $50 but their presentation and taste are good.

Yelp
Great state. Great burger. That sums it up. Their boss burger is my favorite burger in Seattle. You can get a much fancier burger but this is one of the best. Plus don't forget about crinkle fries... always fried to crunchy perfection.

Omar S.

Yelp
I hate writing reviews but when you spend 30 dollars for a burger, a fry (which was the only good item) and two beef patties I expect more. I've never been here but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The food was bland, the special burger was an absolute joke for 13$. Buyer beware. It seems like there's a reason why Great State Burger keeps getting passed around to different owners.

Brent A.

Yelp
Noticed a price hike with our latest order so I compared prices from a late-2023 order. Looks like everything got a 17% price hike, give or take. I could see a 5-10% price hike, but this seems overly steep. The plain hamburger got a 22% price hike. Also, when I got home, we found they were just straight fries even though they were listed as "crinkle-cut fries". Maybe they ran out or had a supply chain problem. They didn't mention it to me when I picked up my order. New 2024 Prices: Great State Burger 8.25 Plain Hamburger 6.75 Crinkle-Cut Fries 5.00 Old 2023 Prices: Great State Burger 7.00 Plain Hamburger 5.50 Crinkle-Cut Fries 4.25

Yelp
Quality has gone steadily downhill since ownership change a few years back. The burgers and shakes are both unimpressive. In my opinion, the quality doesn't match the price point. I do appreciate their commitment to local sourcing and sustainability. Cute location though a little cramped, and service has been good.

Yelp
My best half needed a bite to eat following a long day at Children's Hospital - just up the road. We've driven by this spot a number of times and finally had a chance to stop in. They've got a pretty simple menu with burgers ranging from single burgers to the boss burger (double beef, double cheese and bacon). My best half grabbed a pig laden great state burger wrapped in lettuce, with some Fries. The Fries were a surprise hit! Crinkle cut and with enough salt to get in the crinkles, but not so much that we were looking for drinks. They had a nice crunch and were a lovely side! The burger was solid as well, even with a lettuce bun! It's a quick in and out off 45th and just down the road from Seattle Childrens so it's great before or after an appointment. Well worth checking out and next time, we're excited for the Boss burger!

Valerie W.

Yelp
I wanted to like Great State Burger, and by no means is it bad...it's just not great (get it?) The food in my opinion does not warrant the price tag. $20+ for a small-ish burger with bacon and onion added, plus fries and a shake. The burger itself was flavorful albeit messy. The crinkle fries were OK until they got cold. The shake...meh. I've had better, double in size, for the same price. I feel like for near the same dollar amount I could have been sitting in a decent restaurant. Would I eat it again? Perhaps.

Matt R.

Yelp
I visited the 45th St. location outside U Village. The service was friendly and fast. The food is made after you order. I had the boss burger, it was really good. I appreciate the freshness of the food. The fries, though frozen and unimaginative, were hot. I like the fact that you can grab your own ketchup and fry sauce. I'll just have to agree with the other reviewers that the price is high. $21 for a burger combo is steep especially considering it's a very common commodity. But good joint!

Yelp
highway robbery ... shake was the size of a 4 year olds cup and burger was sub par for the price .. burger should cost 6 bucks ... all together with fries maybe 13 bucks but too expensive

Lauren P.

Yelp
After enjoying some brews at Burke-Gilman Brewing, Great State Burger is SO convenient to have right next door (or bring right to the brewery, if you want!) My only problem with them? The price tag. We got 1 milkshake, 2 burgers, and 3 fries... For $40. Oooof. Granted, it seems as if they use local, organic ingredients. I guess I'm just used to fast casual places being cheaper? Anyways. Overall, they are pretty tasty burgers, and the fries are pretty good, too! My husband loved the Great State Sauce and wished he had added more to his burger. The shake we got our son was thiccccc, so we had to let it sit a little before giving to him. Other than that it was rich and delicious (we got chocolate). TLDR; high prices, but it issss tasty!

Tyler C.

Yelp
I ordered a veggie burger but it wasn't very good (quite mushy and lacking flavor) especially given it's almost double price compared to the same burger with a beef patty ($13 vs $7). Not worth $13 for a burger unfortunately. Pros: Convenient location, easy order pickup if you order online.

Alden C.

Yelp
Recently I made my first excursion to Great State Burger despite them having multiple locations it was up until just a few weeks ago where I finally made it to one. I got their single patty burger combo. Almost always it's too much for me to have more than one hamburger patty. In the combo what is also included is french fries and a drink. They have a lot of Jones Soda options at the soda fountain which I always like. Their Cola flavor is my favorite! It was fairly speedy in getting my burger which is always a plus despite being handed a handheld paging device there was only like two or three other customers here already eating but it's best to keep that system I imagine for when it does get busy. I enjoyed the hamburger, fries and atmosphere. A solid burger place overall.

Natalie M.

Yelp
This location if Great State Burger is awesome! I have been here quite a few times and the burgers were always perfectly cooked, and very neatly assembled. The fries here are also golden zigzag perfection! If I am craving a burger, this is where I want to go. I have been to other locations of GSB and they don't even compete with this location! The care that is put into each meal is much greater here, compared to the location at Bellevue Square. I have always had fast, friendly service. It is a little more expensive than other burger places, but the quality makes up for it. A single burger, a double burger and two fries was about $27. They also serve Jones Soda as fountain drinks! I will definitely keep coming here. I also recently discovered the convenient parking lot up the hill! This location is also right off the bus lines.

Sandra N.

Yelp
They rave wholesome ingredients, which I could kinda taste, but for that same reason it tasted extremely normal... like I could definitely slap this together in my kitchen using ingredients from the organic section of a grocery store. There's no delicious sauce that would keep me coming back and at 7$ a burger (the single) and 6$ for a shake- didn't think it was worth it at all... nothing crazy good. Think we needa take some time and realize what we are really paying for here. Everyone posting burger and fries for 13$.. really? The build of the store is cute with its vibrant colors but minimal sitting areas, which makes me think they're already saving so much money that I'm not really sure where all this overhead charge is coming from.

Dre M.

Yelp
The burgers were amazing, juicy and plenty of cheese. The fries were cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself was cute and simple. Would definitely eat here again if we are in the area.

Tammy E.

Yelp
I love this place! Best veggie burger in town, hands down! I love that this location is right off the Burke-Gilman Trail. I can ride my bike here, enjoy a delicious burger, and be home in an hour. The only thing that had me puzzled was that I brought in a $50 gift card and after ordering a veggie burger, and a regular burger combo (w fries and fountain drink) the new amount showing on the card is $22. The math just does not add up, unless there's some additional tax I don't know about for burgers. I'm hoping the next time I go in they can rectify this issue for me as $28 for one veggie burger and a combo meal is a hefty price to pay!

Steve V.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday for lunch and it was not that crowded. I was able to park in one of the few spots right out front of the restaurant. There is very little room to sit inside anyways so most people get their order to-go. There is some bar seating and two tables that fit about 4 people. That said, I had the double burger and fries and they were great. Very filling and the crinkle fries reminded me of my childhood. The meat tasted fresh and high quality and the ratio of ingredients (bun to meat, etc.) was good. I upgraded my drink to a vanilla shake and it was equally impressive.

Edward S.

Yelp
On the way to Huskies football game, I stopped by the Great State Burger food truck. They have a simple menu of burgers, fries and shakes. I asked for the burger to come only with cheese, but unfortunately it included some lousy sauce. I do not understand how burger places drown their burgera in their nasty sauces. The burger itself as OK, if a little overcooked. The cheese was good and not overly melted. The bun was unexceptional. The food is no bargain. The single burger cost $7 and was not much bigger than what you get at Dicks. It is nice they have food trucks outside Husky Stadium, but not sure if I will eat at Great State again.

Christian S.

Yelp
Got the Single Burger and an 8 oz. Shake (vanilla) -- both absolutely delish!!! I've been to multiple locations, and the quality is consistently excellent. Major bonus points for 100% compostable packaging, utensils, and everything else. If anything in WA competes on taste with In-N-Out (CA-native here speaking), it's not Dick's Drive-In... ...it's Great State!

Alyanna C.

Yelp
Came here last Saturday afternoon - this is a pretty new place, since I recall it used to be a local butcher shop 2 years ago. Hard to miss while driving down 45th since it's a blue building. Seating is limited inside but there's also outdoor seating as well. What drew me was the fact that they had a Jones soda fountain, and I love Jones soda. Especially the green apple one. They also had orange cream, root beer, a lemon drink, and regular Jones cola. It's a very simple menu with 2 types of burgers (single patty or double patty) and a veggie burger. You can add grilled onions to your burger as well, and they serve crinkle fries here because... why not? As someone who grow up on In-N-Out and has tried Caliburger up north, I'd say these are as good as it gets if you're looking for an In-N-Out burger in Washington. In fact, they may be even taste better than an In-N-Out burger. I got the single with grilled onions, and the first bite had a lot of impact. Veggies were fresh, bun was toasty... but the beef patty is what made the difference. The thing about In-N-Out and Caliburger is they value freshness - fresh veggies and meat patties. That doesn't necessarily mean the beef will be good. With my burger, the meat was really juicy and just tasted... good. Now everything else was great and pretty much mimic'd In-N-Out from the grilled onions to the special State sauce (pretty much an In-N-Out animal style), but what surprised me was how good the patty was. Fun fact - next to the cashier is a mini fridge filled with steaks. The description said they sometimes get a whole cow to make their patties, and save the steak cuts for people to use. Good on them for saving the extra meat... and I think it may explain why the patties are so good. After all, this used to be a butcher shop! ;) If you're looking to buy some local steaks, check out the mini fridge as each steak cut is priced per package, and they're decent for the quality! The crinkle fries were also good, nice and crispy! I'll have to come back to try their sweet potato fries. Overall, very good burgers if you're looking for just a regular no-frills cheese burger. You won't find a fancy mushroom burger or a novelty bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter (lol Blue Moon)... just a really good cheese burger. My only gripe is that it's pretty expensive ($10 for the single combo with fries and a 16 oz soda) and the burgers are smaller than what I'm used to for the price - hence the one star. It's unfair to do a true comparison to In-N-Out when they're burgers are much cheaper. But the smaller burgers actually made it easier to finish my fries, so I guess there's a good balance.

Yelp
Laurelhurst is getting hip!!! This new place along with Saint Helens next door bring some color and lights to this part of town. Right off the bat the decor of the building just entices you to drop by and see what's up. The seating area is very small maybe a table for 8 if that. The rest of it consists of bar seating along the window. But gives you that fast food burger feel. Their customer service was great, with a. Handful of people ready to help you and take your order. The atmosphere felt very classic but with a remix of new. Their cabs registers consisted of iPad card readers and their music at the time was an awesome playlist of Frank Ocean. Catering to the young and tech savvy audience, I think so! The menu is simple and easy to read. I had myself a "double combo" with a shake. Their chocolate shake was delicious and definitely hit the spot. As for the burger itself, my tastes buds were thoroughly satisfied. The burger was very well put together. The patty itself might have been a little well done for me, but in combination with all the burger condiments it came together well. Their fries however, were very crispy and not to mention crinkle cut! Not many burger joints do this anymore, and I definitely appreciate it! I will most likely be returning every once in a while especially when in the Laurelhurst, UW area.

Archie P.

Yelp
@justpadge_eats "Fresh, Local and Organic" Tried a new burger joint this evening. Almost lost it when I read "Crinkle-Cut Fries" on their menu, more places need to serve fries like this, or waffle fries! Fries were nice and crispy, their burger was fresh. Fresh ingredients and great tasting beef patty. (Not on menu which I noticed on another burger being prepared 'grilled onions') The burger was good enough to warrant another visit, next time adding grilled onions.

Yelp
I just wanted to give an update. After communication with Nathan, the Regional Manager, we gave it a second try at the end of a very long hospital stay. He really went above and beyond to make things right. That is how you retain and bring back your customers. Such an awesome outcome that started off as a big bummer. So, for my updated review...Amazing burger just as we were used to. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Presentation was outstanding. Employees were very friendly and knew about the situation. The fries were crisp and cooked. Changes were definitely made from the last experience. We will definitely be making this our favorite stop again on our two hour rides home from the hospital again or during our extended stays. Thank you Nathan/Great State Burgers for valuing your customers. I really hope they didn't change owners. We always come here whenever our kids have appointments at Seattle Childrens. I get the same thing everytime. A single with extra crispy fries. My son just had brain surgery and I was so looking forward to eating here. It was not the same. Fries were way under cooked Almost still had that just thawed, frozen texture , not even close to being normal and I wanted extra crispy. The bun was still almost raw. Very doughy and absolutely no color. Couldn't take it back because I didn't look till we got back to our child's room. So dissapoindon't think I'll be back with my family.

Seirra M.

Yelp
This was a great experience! The restaurant was small, clean and the staff were very friendly when we entered! It's hard to find organic & locally sourced meat at a restaurant for a good price! My son got an organic Theo's chocolate milkshake, very yummy!! Will try again!!

Jordan J.

Yelp
Small, chill location. Right off Burke Gilman trail. 1 Vegan option, pretty basic. Great prices compared to other local burger chains in Seattle. Jones soda fountain and milkshakes. Craft beer and rainier tall boys. They serve breakfast too. Limited seating indoors, seems like more of a to-go spot

Kal C.

Yelp
Burger places are a dime a dozen around here. Unfortunately, Great State's beef is nearly flavorless for me, and it has been dry every time. Their fries are good (crinkle cut; nothing spectacular). They have Jones Soda. Whoop-di-doooooo. For having such a small menu they should've perfected their items (like In N Out, in my humble opinion). They have not. On to the next!

Christine F.

Yelp
The burgers and fries here are great and they're a no-frills type of burger place, which I am definitely all about. They whip up your basic burger or cheeseburger. Beef is fresh and tasty--I believe it's local. Actually, I think their whole menu is locally sourced. They have Jones soda on tap, which I had never seen before and was a welcomed sight (I'm also not from here and have just recently moved to Seattle, so maybe that's nothing special?). The dining space is VERY small. Like, two tables small. There's a bar with stools and another bar that you can stand at. I'd say this is more of a grab and go kind of place, unless you're lucky enough to snag a table. I had walked there with the intention of eating there, so I just kind of hovered around until someone got up and snagged a table ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's a little on the pricey end for a fast-casual burger place, but still reasonable.

Chris S.

Yelp
This place. I love it, with caveats: Great burger? CHECK! Amazing fries? YOU GOT IT! SO GOOD. AND CRISPY!! Staff?? CRANKY & DISENGAGED. I don't know what's up with this place and the folks working behind the counter. They just seem miserable, and they let you know it. Every. Time. I've. Been. Here. So if you want to pay a premium price for a "healthy burger" that's organic, grass-fed and sprinkled with fairy dust. Just be aware you may come away with some spiritual indigestion. Which sucks, because the food is really pretty good and worth the splurge. Or maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm not young enough or hip enough to appreciate the finer points of shelling out 25 bucks for two burgers and some drinks and feeling like I'm putting them out for handing them my money.

Roanne C.

Yelp
Oh my gawwwwd. Yes girl. Great State Burger is literally the epitome of it's name. The way that their grill works is just magic. Anything and everything that comes off of it is delicious. Ordering at GSB honestly makes me feel nostalgic of being a child. The way that they serve and package everything is so darn cute! It's like getting an adult happy meal! What to get is the Double. Two patties of deliciousness with lettuce, tomatoes, great state sauce, and extra extra melty cheese all in between the toastiest buns ever! But you don't stop there, you have to add their grilled onions on top because they are the bombdiggity! Where else can you get perfectly crispy and salted crinkle cut fries in Seattle?! They never fail to make these bad boys piping hot and the flavor of their potatoes is insane! For drinks, it's cool that they serve Jones Soda in their fountains. Way to keep thangs local! I still have yet to try the milkshakes, but I'll wait until the summer! The only downfall is coming here during peak hours. You might have to wait a while but I promise you it'll be worth it! :)

Esther S.

Yelp
Ohhhh man, after a stressful week, or start of the stressful week, I needed a burger and haven't had one in a while. My coworkers raved about this place so I had to come here. I got the veggie burger with fries and I highly recommend it! It's crunchy and satisfying-and the fries, THE FRIIIEEESSS. It's freshly made! Not too much salt and it's perfectly fried to the golden color. It's delicious!!! They just got it juuuuust right. They're crinkled fries and none of them, I repeat, none of them were soggy or were burnt, but were evenly fried. I mean, both the burger and the fries looked like commercial ready...!!! I'm pretty sure the veggie burger is not healthy because it's deep fried? I think? But hey, why go for burgers if you want to eat healthy? Highly highly recommend it. I'm definitely coming back here :)

Seb K.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this, the interior and outside of this place are incredible! However... looks aren't always the factor in food: - Seating was very limited, I felt kind of squished eating. - For their pricing, it's nothing too hyped or amazing in a burger. - The stars of this place are definitely the CRINKLE CUT FRIES and JONES SODA MACHINE. Now that's an outstanding combo there! - I really can't stress how good the fries were, lightly salted and crunchy enough to have that soft potato come out. You get a lot of fries for one order too! Yours truly, Seb Eats

Corey S.

Yelp
As an employee at a nearby hospital, this place hits the spot when we're looking to get away from the monotony of cafeteria food. The burgers and fries are great! Reminds me very much of shake shack (the food at least). The space itself is small, but that doesn't take away from how delicious the burgers are. Price is just right for the quality of food you get. Highly recommend to anyone in the Laurelhurst/UW area.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Decent but pricey! You pay a premium for pasture raised, grass fed beef and an environmentally conscious restaurant. The crinkle fries bring back memories but I wish they were fresher and not re-fried from the day before. There's not a lot of seating but it's good for a quick stop (if you can find parking) or to take to the park. I like the concept and I hope they stick around.

Ally I.

Yelp
I am writing this since my thoughts are still fresh in my head. This was our first time trying Great State Burger. So, I'm not sure if we chose a bad location or our experience is indicative of other locations. The number of stars says it all. Ok, so they have organic beef. But any flavor that's left ran out on the grill because the burger was drier than the Sahara. I know eating UNDERcookrd meat is bad, but overcooked? It's like my military dad was flipping burgers back there. My son's burger bun was black as midnight. The crinkle cut fries started out good -- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Then you reach the great Sysco salt lick at the bottom of the bag. The salt crystals can be missed. I suppose this is why they have water cups and refillable Jones soda. You're gonna need to re-hydrate. Oh, and if you want to add the fries and drink to your $6.50 single (yes, one cow chip, er, patty), you must pay near DOUBLE ($6.25). So, like I said, refill your soda cups, peeps. After so much negativity, I must say something positive. Well, the place looks tidy. One of the employees was scrubbing the barstools. So, there's that. And the bun (at least mine which was toasted and not complete toast), tasted pretty good. I suppose you could use the charcoaled bun to "brush" your teeth with. Yeah, unimpressed. I'd rather eat at Dick's, and that's really saying something.

Jessica G.

Yelp
I would give it a 3.5 Clean Tiny Quality meat Great state burger is like Dicks Burger grew up, got better ingredients, and set up shop in an IKEA. I would consider it a fast food joint, but def better quality than any of the others!

Christine N.

Yelp
Ordered the veggie burger, no fries. Pros: -Filling, even with no side -Complete bite: lettuce, tomato, onion, patty, cheese, pickles, sauce & bun -Their Great State Sauce is delicious, essentially a fry sauce -I personally like their shredded lettuce - beats biting into a large leaf that gets stuck in your teeth Cons: -I was expecting a traditional veggie burger but the patty was crisp of fried - perhaps a better description on the menu would be helpful -$8.50 with no sides seems a tad high in price

Mimi H.

Yelp
Great State just opened their second location in Laurelhurst/UW. It got crowded real quick during dinner, but NOWHERE near as bad as CaliBurger. We were able to order almost instantly and waited close to 15 minutes for our food. We got two combos and substituted a milkshake as one of the drinks. Parking is almost nonexistent, there are about six spots right as you pull into the side street. The food looks like a kid's meal. An expensive YET DELICIOUS kid's meal. The burgers are similar in size in comparison to Dick's. A double with fries will just satisfy my cravings. As for quality, the buns were toasted just right and super melty ooey gooey cheese on top of hand made patties. A little lackluster in flavor but texture was great. However, I'd have to be really hungry to pay $7.50 for a double (or $12 for the combo) if I am in the area. They serve thick crinkle cut fries and offer beer on tap. Milkshakes were also pretty good, slightly better than Dick's. There's not much seating, maybe a table for 8 and a long table stool for 6. Not the best place for families with toddlers or babies right now.

Daisha N.

Yelp
You have to go! I just tried the one in Seattle and in love!!! Get the mini milkshake and walk around the city! I'm sooo excited it came here!

Michael W.

Yelp
First visit; was expecting an excellent meal. The grass fed beef patty was flavorful but dry since it was cooked well done. Condiments were chopped lettuce and pickles, glued together with American cheese. Not a tomato or ketchup in sight. Minus 2 stars. Crinkle cut fries were the only side option; not a seasoned fry, tater tot, onion ring or cole slaw available. Minus 1 star. To top off the experience, they only offer Jones Sodas, which are sweetened with cane sugar. Diet soda drinkers like me have to settle for water! Minus 1 star. Needless to say, Great State won't get a second review from me!

Sara Y.

Yelp
Very well seasoned burger, combined with fresh veggies and a perfectly toasted bun and the perfect salty cheese=the perfect relationship of a burger. I love it when the stuff on a burger doesn't taste like it's the reject from every other menu item from the kitchen. We happened to eat our burgers at Safeco, and they were still quite good. The fries are perfectly seasoned and fried, meaning, a crisp outer skin with soft and tender inside. These are solid burgers made by people who GET IT.

Phil R.

Yelp
Overpriced. Cheap American cheese. I ordered the extra bacon, and they forgot to add it my burger. +$2.5 bucks x 2 burgers. 5 bucks I won't even ask for cuz i won't be back.

Megan L.

Yelp
Minimal seating on a busy weekday night. Can't sit outside because it's freezing out, so just have to wait for a table...which was dirty when we sat there. I was expecting so much more since the ingredients and such are of higher quality. The burger was just sooo bland and cold. The fries were overly salted and super crunchy, there was no tender inside. The shake was also sad, it tasted like the frozen yogurt you get when the ice cream machine breaks and only deposits ice, lacking chocolate flavor. Not worth the price tag when Dicks is just a few miles away. The employees here also weren't super friendly and charged me for 2 fries instead of 1.

Travis W.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this place on opening day, especially since it is a very quick walk for me, and they sell veggie burgers. First I would like to note, the staff were quite friendly, even though I know opening day can be hard, so kudos to the employees. The burger was ok, and the Jones soda was good. Fundamentally, the issue I had during my first experience with this franchise is that the burger was "ok", which really, I'm quite fine with okay burgers. The problem is the burgers are quite small, and despite the veggie burger combo being the most expensive on the menu, the single patty was wafer thin. Less than half as thin as the meat patty in my daughters kid burger. For my combo and two kids' combos, the bill came out to 31 and change. I just don't feel a small, ok burger justifies that cost, it's not balanced. My daughter also wanted plain water, and the fountain only gives out soda water, so I filled her cup in the bathroom sink. Mildly annoying. Lastly there are a grand total of eleven seats in the place, and some standing room. So if you have a family or more than a couple of people, plan to get your food to go. I could get similar fare with a larger meal, 30% lower cost, and better seating at several places next door in U Village, which just makes this a hard sell for me. I genuinely hoped it would work out. I do plan on going back to try a shake.

Yelp
Average/decent burgers overall. The patties are too thick and kind of taste like the frozen patties you would get from Costco and serve at a backyard cookout with multiple guests. The cheese was definitely artificial and cheap. Buns were too dense. Fries were okay, but overly salted. I have no idea also what the veggie burger is made of and is very dense and heavy. That being said, I'd probably go back only if I was craving this specific burger and flavor and taste. I don't think the double is worth that $7.50. I'd probably choose Dick's burgers because you get what you pay for there. There also isn't enough seating and is a very small place. I hate small places where it is inconvenient for customers to be in. Where do they expect us to eat? Nothing worse than taking home a burger and fries and have it being cold and soggy.

Yelp
Really delicious food. I highly recommend that they open earlier during the weekends for brunch. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing!!!!! I can eat three of them. Egg, cheese, and hash browns on an English muffin. I highly recommend! Their fries are delicious too.

Yelp
This is a very interesting one. I wanted to try this place, it is a burger place and I do love a good burger. On a sunny Saturday the venture was on and Great State was the destination. The outdoor seating was great to have since my canine companion was with me. The ordering process was quick and easy. The pricing may have been a little bit on the high side for a burger, fries and a drink but the drink is Jones Soda which is fabulous. They also have beer available which makes things a little different than the rest. Now the burgers, they were very tasty and done very well but I did not find anything outstanding that made them stand apart as a game changer. Do not get me wrong on this one, they are to be tried for sure but do not expect to find a life changing experience in the burger category. There is definitely nothing that they did wrong just that the price was a bit high and the burgers for the most part were average but the availability of having a beer and Jones Soda on tap bumped things up a notch.

Yelp
Closest thing to In n Out in WA. Wow, such a good burger! It's juicy, clean and has fresh ingredients. They're made to order, doesn't seem like a fast food joint at all. The fries are super crispy and perfectly seasoned. The staff are super friendly, enthusiastic, and generally seem happy, something you don't often see in fast food. The packaging is super nice and almost looks too good to eat. The portions seem small, but I was surprisingly full. The patty is actually super dense, so it's a lot more filling than it looks. My only complaint is the price, seems a few bucks more expensive than it should be. I'll still be a return customer though!

Yelp
I'm sorry to do this as I really liked the food here, but I placed an online order on 7/4 assuming they were open on the holiday since my order went through and there was nothing on their website saying they were closed. We got to the Laurelhurst location to find they were closed. I did get charged. I've emailed three times to ask for a refund and have heard nothing. There phone number is a recording that tells you to email them. I understand it's hard times for restaurants, but basic communication seems necessary. I'd really like a refund for the good I could not get'

Yelp
The vegi burgers are awesome!!! It tastes like chicken, but is much much healthier for you. The wait time is short, the quality of food is high, and you'll leave very satisfied. 5 stars!!

Yelp
Nice option to have in the world of burgers here. The double was delicious. Had some flavors of the Dicks burger, which isn't bad at all, but taken to the next level. The patties were charred beautifully. Almost as if done in seasoned cast irons. The fries were delicious and ketchup fantastic. It's a pretty good value at about 30 bucks for 2 people. I'll be back for the double!
