Saint Sushi Westmount

Beautiful space, wonderful service and the sushi and salads I ate were excellent. The tuna rolls were surprisingly the best hosomaki I’ve ever had!! Soooo good! Class meets Japanese fusion! 10/10

This entire experience was incredible. The staff are super friendly - we were served by Chico, and all his recommendations were on point! Food was outstanding. Would highly recommend!

we had an absolutely fantastic time being spoiled with incredible food in abundance. A creative approach, featuring a wide variety of unique and imaginative combinations—each dish is thoughtfully crafted. It's a refreshing change from typical spots. We particularly loved the playful names of the menu items, both for the sushi and drinks. It added an entertaining touch to our dining experience! Their patented "sapin" 🌲, which came with a delicious spicy yogurt, was definitely a highlight of the meal. As for the cocktails, they were all beautiful and delicious;  the "Mr. 305" was one of the best drinks I've ever had, perfect for my tastes. It felt like it was made just for me A fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy creative and flavorful sushi dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to return for more! 🍣🥂✨

The service and food is 10/10 here, I highly recommend this spot for great sushi and a fun vibe. The mochi was incredible but the best of all is by far the coconut sorbet. I don’t usually like coconut ice creams but this was so good!

Absolutely Delicious!!! Freshest fish in Montreal❤️ loved every bite! Fish flown in same day from Japan. The staff are warm and welcoming. Bo serves up the specialty drinks! You guys are the best!

I would describe this restaurant as an inconsistent experience. The food was ok, portions were more than fine but one of the rolls was falling apart while the other one was great. Service was kind. Yet when I arrive to the restaurant it felt as if they were not open yet, there were boxes and things around. I would recommend to change the menu (not the content, but the materials). And also check the quality of the rolls before delivering them. I rarely feel disappointed with restaurants but I do with this one - I paid 40 dollars for basically one roll, and honestly not up to the expectations or the price.

Wow, this was a great discovery in the Westmount area. The food was on top, very creative dishes and names, we had the Prince, Snoop dog, MF Doom and the Christmas tree. Each of them super tasting! Ambiance was positive and the staff was super friendly. Our experience expected our expectations, will definitely come back!

Me and my wife are big sushi fans. This place did not disappoint . We took the Tasting menu + the Kendrick Lamar and Bad News Brown … Definitely one of the best Makis we have tried so far .. and we been around a lot of Sushi places. Service, Ambiance, Food … everything was amazing! And the Drinks 🫡. King of the North and Calico Jack are so Good. We will definitely come back

A friend recommended Saint Sushi to me about a year ago, so it was on my radar to try it out. My folks live near Greene and we go to this stretch of the street all the time to dine at Vago (great Italian restaurant across the street) or Nick's (old-time local hangout, great for breakfast and diner/comfort foods). So on my recent visit to Montreal, I decided to take my daughter here to try a new place. (I might add, after living in Vancouver for the past 5+ years, we've become pretty particular about sushi, as Van has a ton of excellent sushi places). Saint Sushi didn't disappoint! The restaurant interior is funky and eclectic, with splashes of neon on the wall, vibrant modern art intersplashed with Buddha sculptures and pretty flowers. As some other reviewers have noted, the music here is L.O.U.D. So that can be a turn-off for some, and probably if you're looking for a romantic and intimate dinner with your date, the sheer volume of the music might dissuade you from coming here. But the food! And the cocktails! Top top notch. And all so beautifully plated. Like, out of a Gordon Ramsey cooking competition show. I wish I had taken photos. Everything was visually gorgeous. I think the food here is more of an Asian fusion, as it's not really like the traditional sushi I've had elsewhere. We started with two Calico Jack cocktails, on the server's recommendation. Oh, so good! And so pretty, too. We shared various dishes: shrimp tempura (probably the best I ever had. Very delicate, with amazing complimentary sweet miso sauce); salmon "Christmas trees" (salmon tartar with green onion, I think, shaped into a tall cone on top of a rice cracker. Truly delicious and visually arresting); and, salmon sashimi with apple (so fresh and, again, delicate, and so amazingly good with the apple julienne strips and a sake reduction with subtle ginger sauce). I should add that our server was super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu, and all her recommendations were on-point. And despite it being busy, the server and the rest of the waitstaff were very attentive. Bonus that there's a parking lot across the street where it's free to park after 6pm every night. (You don't see that EVER in Vancouver). Nice!

Great place! This sushi place has a vibe and everything is so delicious. I went there with my friends, they showed me this place. We did a tasting menu. The tasting menu includes: 2 pcs sashimi and apples, 2 "Christmas trees", and 14 pcs maki of different kinds 2 each. It was amazing, my favorite was "Christmas trees" one was salmon and another one with lobster. I love the lobster one the most. I recommend this place.

I loved this sushi place. I finally got to try this place after months of wanting too. And I can say that this place is in my too 5 a la carte sushi spot list We went to the Westmount location, they also have another location in the plateau. I loved this location, it was small but loved the decor, the bar and the kitchen area. We decided to sit at the bar. And one of the chef's was pretty nice to give us some good recommendations. Super nice stuff. They have different cocktails Usually an a la carte sushi places tend to get you an expensive bill at the end but since it was our first time there the chef recommended us to get the tasting option which was 44$ per person. Usually I'm really skeptical about getting tasting option because something they give you stuff that you wouldn't like, but he asked us what we liked and customized the tasting menu to our liking. I feel like the tasting menu was a good option for us and we even had some left over at the end. The tasting menu comes with 2 entrees and 4 different rolls. What we receive was the tuna and salmon sashimi and crispy apples and chef sauce.(4 pieces), we got 4 pieces of the Christmas tree lobster tartare and to end it we got approximately 22 pieces of 4 different rolls. We also got as an extra, miso soup which was a big portion and the seaweed salad. They also gave us 3 different sauces other then the soya, which were the yogurt sauce, the spicy mayo and the vinaigrette sauce. All of these were freshly made by the restaurant and loved it all. My favorite was the yogurt sauce and I definitely recommend to get that to dip your sushi. Overall I loved everything about this place. It's a nice cute spot and sushis are so good. I highly recommend to come here at least once or a few times. I also recommend to get a reservation because the place isn't big and for a Saturday it was full. I cannot wait to go back honestly because it was so good. I would take the tasting menu again and for 44$ it's a bargain for amazing sushi

I've tried their Duluth location 3 years ago and it was the best sushi I ever eat. So with my wife and daughter as we were in Montréal we tried their last branch. The service was excellent and we tried the Clyde 3 services menu. Everything was excellent I particularly like the Christmas tree it's salmon tartar on a rice cracker it's huge and delicious. So if you want the best sushi in Montréal ( In Québec) you can go to the st-Denis or Westmount Saint Sushi. I have to say that the St-Denis/Duluth branch is very busy and it's hard to have reservations there, so go to Westmount as it's much more relax and you can find parking! J'avais déjà essayé le Saint Sushi St-Denis/Duluth et j'avais adoré. Alors que j'étais de passage à Montréal, avec ma femme et ma belle-fille nous sommes allés au nouveau Saint Sushi Westmount. Le service était excellent et le me u que nous avions choisi exquis. Le menu Clyde en 3 service est vraiment très bon, et le sapin de Noël ( tartar de saumon sur craquelin de riz) est en bonne quantité et délectable. Donc ne cherchez plus le meilleur sushi à Montréal se trouve chez Saint sushi ! Je suggère d'aller à Westmount car c'est beaucoup plus relax que la succursale de Duluth et se stationner sur la rue est assez facile.

Dabords quelle service attentionné, nous avons été gâté. Saint Sushi c'est recevoir un groupe. Une équipe formidable et dédiée. Ont vois qu'il sont fière de l'expérience culinaire qu'il nous font vivre. Comme premier plat un Sashimi de thon a queue jaune avec des fine tranche de pomme verte, le match parfait. Sans est suivie toutes une série de services avec different maki, presque tous avec des noms de vedettes Ont comprend pourquoi car ils sont originaux et succulent. Nous avons eu droit aussi a des sushi torchés, vendre du saumon, beau et bien bon. Coté cocktail leur bartender nous a tous epaté par le gouts unique et l'apparence des mix proposés. Ils ont rien a envier au plus grand a ce niveau non plus. J'ai adoré le goût parfumer du Flower power et le look osé du King of the North avec son cigare fumant. Enfin si intolerance ou allergie de mon côté ils m'ont très bien accommodé malgré que j'aurais tellement aimé goûter au originaux avec crevettes. L'équipe est fantastique, trendy et a notre écoute. Je recommande fortement ce restaurant et encore plus en groupe d'amis.

I discovered their original location on Duluth over two years ago but this fairly new location is definitely closer to me, trendier and has a fantastic vibe! My ultimate favorite is the Sapin/ Christmas tree. If you haven't had these yet, please do, you won't regret it & will thank me ;-) Since I love the texture and taste of the Christmas trees, I also ordered the Lobster Sensei roll. The filling was great but the rice paper was too thick (similar texture as fresh spring rolls paper). I would have appreciated the roll if a finer rice paper sheet was used as it was challenging when trying to eat- perhaps something they can improve on. Overall, great place to go for drinks and or simply to satisfy your sushi craving. Note: this is not a quiet place, music is loud so If you are looking for a quiet meal, this wouldn't be the ideal spot.

There's nothing I crave more than a nice sushi roll. On top of that, this restaurant boasts a beautiful, modern aesthetic and nice service! Come here for the Christmas Tree sushi! It is simply divine. I had the tasting menu, and the Madonna roll is wonderful too! The King Of the North cocktail packs a powerful punch! It is simply delicious. You will feel as though you are basking in the warm sun of the Caribbean. Service was top notch. When I walked in, the waiter said he only cared about our comfort! You don't see this level of personable attention too often in the restaurant industry. The only recommendation is to lower the music volume. Sometimes, it is hard to hear your companion over it's loud beat!

I'm a big fan of Saint Sushi I was really happy to see that they opened a new location on the west side of town as this is closer to home and work for me. The quality and creativity of the sushi remains and you can expect to enjoy all the same rolls that you've enjoyed at the original location. Two reason cause me to give the Greene location 4 instead of 5 stars. The decor of the Greene Ave location leaves a bit to be desired. It's a bit cold and starch and lacks the homeliness of the Duluth location. Additionally, when I first started going to Saint Sushi their prices we were incredibly inexpensive. I think it was $25, tax in, for the tasting menu. Today's prices have increased a considerable amount, but rightly so. Today's prices are very reasonable, but no longer the super deal that they were a few years ago.

If you want a bit of a different sushi experience, Saint Sushi is a good choice. The dining experience was great- they were gracious, helpful, patient, and attentive. My kids didn't love the sushi- too far from the norm for them. Make sure to examine the menu before you decide to come here- if it sounds tasty to you, you'll have a great time!

I love the sushi at the original location so I was so excited and happy to find out that they opened another location closer to home! Saint sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I had to wait for my order which was fine because the staff members are so nice, smiley and chatty. Normally I get the tasting menu which is so worth it! This time we ordered 2 Clydes for pickup which contains sashimi or salad (we got the salmon sashimi with apples cut julienne style), 10 makis, four nigiris (two salmon sashimis on rice and two tuna sashimis on rice), with two Christmas trees. Christmas trees are cone shaped tartare on a rice cookie. This is my favorite thing on the menu. I love the lobster and the salmon one. Unfortunately this time I felt the rice cookie was a bit stale but the tartare was still good. I love the decor at this location. It's definitely bigger and fancier than the first location. I love the white walls, the nice shiny floors and the plants. Next time I will come back and eat at the restaurant because wait for it ... there's alcohol at this location!!! Yayyyyy! I was told that the saint old fashioned, king of the north and professor plum cocktails are the favorites and I can't wait to try them! I love the names of the sushi rolls and the cocktails. Now the reason I gave this place four stars instead of five like the other location is because the sushi rolls they gave us were nothing special. It was the chefs choice and I love their other rolls much more like the Beatles or the Bob Marley. Also like I mentioned earlier the rice cookie was stale and usually it isn't.

The new location lacks the decor and atmosphere of the original, but the staff is still incredible and the true heart of the restaurant. I come here more for the service than the quality of the sushi. If you don't sit at the bar I feel like the service is harder to enjoy compared to the original where you feel like the whole restaurant is connected. Prices have gone up a tad, but I'd still recommend their tasting menu or Yanh Maki. Their cocktails weren't totally my taste, but they sure are pretty to look at.

This sushi place was so cute inside. And the sushi micheal Jackson, Madonna are my favorite the appetizer are shrimp tempura is must and the Christmas tree roll is delicious as well. This is must try restaurant.

I'm a fan of the OG Saint Sushi in the Plateau. I'd been there once and fallen in love with their tasting menu. I was so excited when I heard that they opened up a Westmount location. We went as a group of 4 on a Friday night. We were seated right away and I have to point out that the service was honestly great (which is refreshing in Montreal). What I like about Saint Sushi is that their staff genuinely looks like they're having fun. The main difference is this one is a little more upscale and they have a full bar unlike the other location. The music was WAY TOO LOUD but despite this, we still had a great night. The 4 of us got the tasting menu which means we got to try a larger variety of tartares and sushi rolls. We started out with the salmon and tuna sashimi plate, followed by the tuna and lobster Christmas tree tartares. All of them were amazing! Previously, I had only tried the salmon sashimi and lobster Christmas trees so it was cool to try new variations. We also got to try way more sushi rolls, including Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, etc... some were better than others but to be honest, I wasn't sure which was which coz it was too loud when the waitress was explaining the rolls. Overall, great experience and I would go back but maybe chill with the music, you don't have to try so hard to be trendy coz you already are!

Best sushi in Montreal. We made reservations and sat at the bar. It was entertaining to talk to the chefs and watch them make the sushi, it was like watching art. Their house made sauces (some type of ginger sauce/spicy mayo) are delicious. Our sushi chef Alex was awesome - I hope he goes on Chopped Canada someday. Saki bombs were $7 and totally worth it (although they need taller glasses), I guess they might not used to a crowd that does saki bombs lol

Terrible. Tasting menu $32 is all bland rolls. Service is slow and not knowledgeable. Sake was Blah and took forever to warm up. Loud music, couldn't even carry a conversation. Table of 5 squished into 4-seater table. Avoid this place.

I usually don't write bad reviews but my last experience at saint sushi was unbelievably unprofessional. You would think that when you receive a salad with a piece of plastic the size of your thumb in it that we would not be charged for the replacement.... false. We were charged for the replacement. We were also charged for drinks that we never ordered but were told by the staff to have since they made the mistake. I have worked in the service industry for most of my life and I will tell you that I will go to every other sushi restaurant in Montreal besides this one just based on this experience. If you are going with a group of friends to this restaurant, cancel your reservation and make it somewhere else because they will tell you they are out of the cheaper sake bottles just so you order the more expensive one. They will also charge you for food that you send back.

Thought I'd try out their Westmount location and was somewhat disappointed. Service was OK at the bar, took a little long to get served. Portions were on the smallish side, expected some differentiating dishes but, alas, none presented. Same old, same old. Run of the mill and definitely not worth the price premium.

Went for my bday with my boyfriend. Ordered the salmon Christmas trees, 5 rolls and drinks. Everything was amazing. The chef was phenomenal, very funny and outgoing . He gave us a special sauce-Ask for the coconut spicy mayo (a lot better than the original one). Favourite roll was the lobster roll wrapped in cucumber; it was different and came with amazing fresh sashimi on top. Wonderful bday dinner

The freshest fish I had in Montreal! Original and creative recipes! We had the tasting menu it was really good and my favourite was the Christmas tree. However the chef could add more variations to the tasting menu as every sushi we had was filled with the same salman tartar. The environment is very beautiful staff was friendly including the chef! I recommend sitting at the bar to see what he's preparing.

Never.... Not one Japanese chef in the place... You are paying for the cool factor, certainly not authentic Japanese food

Wife loves this place, if ever she wants to eat sushi the first thing that comes up is saint! Wish it wasn't so far from our place!
