The Best Cafes in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"This 2020 addition to Villeray brought fair trade coffee from Celsius 94, Rabbit Hole Roasters, and others to the neighbourhood, as well as an excellent list of sandwich options and cookies filled with Oreos, Fruit Loops, and other goodies. It’s even got a vegan gelato shop behind the café." - Daniel Bromberg

Best Ice Cream Shops in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Last summer, oh-so-cool Villeray café Saison des pluies transformed an adjoining garage space around the corner, on Henri-Julien, into a mini ice cream shop. Its soft serve twists are vegan and coconut-based — sure to make for a mighty fine affogato." - Valerie Silva

The cafe is really cosy and the staff is helpful. It gets quite busy in there but still stays quiet enough to work with earphones in. The coffee is good and the food is lovely too - just wish they had more options that a muffin and a salad for vegans! If you want to work on a laptop, the counter space or large table is your best bet. It does get quite smoky and stuffy from the grilled sandwiches so if you get overwhelmed by strong odours, it’s not a good cafe to go to for you. Summer: I tried their vegan cone and it was lovely - not too sweet and the flavours were so satisfying.

Chill little coffee spot with solid coffee, fair prices, and good vibes all around. They’ve got this Easter egg cookie (no clue what it’s actually called) but it slaps. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Obviously not my first time here :D Delicious brunch with seasonal flavors ice cream on the go after hanging out with friends. The pistachio and berry twisted ice cream tasted unique to me.

My favorite spot in the neighborhood, great coffee, great sandwiches. Especially the Dej Sandwich is just incredible. A bit pricey but fine since the quality is there

Incredible coffee and above that is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. 11/10 The breakfast sandwhich had a fresh cracked fried egg, large juicy slice of a perfectly ripened tomato, house mayo, cheese and the best hash brown I’ve ever had (inserted in the sandwhich !).

They serve excellent coffee. High quality beans, carefully roasted, and prepared with precision and care. Friendly staff, nice natural wine selection, stylish interior. Try the Dej sandwich - it’s so satisfying and tasty!

Cozy welcoming space with lots of natural light and friendly staff. The pastries did not disappoint and if I hadn’t scheduled a lunch I would have loved to have the breakfast sandwich, it looked divine!! The coffee was absolutely dialled in, great milk texture in espresso based drinks! Will be sure to visit again the next time I’m in Montreal! 💌

Yelp
Great local coffee shop to get your cafeine fix and a snack to go along with it. The employees are nice, however there is very few seats available so I suggest you take your coffee to go!
