Incredible museum dedicated to the subak water system, nyepi day of silence, and ogoh ogoh large statue art. There were also some old calendars and books about Bali in the library. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and I loved the entire experience. The exhibits are well maintained and immersive, with a good mix of multimedia. Don't forget to check out the 360 amphitheatre! The museum is cashless.

Actually hands down the best museum I have ever been to. The interior was beautifully arranged, and the tour guide was amazing. It's also a very tranquil place. Highly recommended if you love learning about cultures, art, etc.

5/5 — A Thoughtful and Immersive Exploration of Balinese Culture and the Spirit of Nyepi As someone who also works in the museum field, I was genuinely impressed by how Saka Museum captures the depth and philosophy behind Balinese culture — especially the traditions surrounding Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence. The museum does an excellent job of conveying not only the rituals but also the profound cultural mindset behind them. The presentation bridges tangible traditions with intangible values — concepts like Tri Hita Karana (the three causes of well-being) are woven naturally into the storytelling. The design and curation are beautifully executed. The interpretive displays are clear and respectful, using modern technology without overshadowing the authenticity of Balinese wisdom. Saka Museum invites visitors to experience silence as a form of understanding — encouraging reflection, rather than passive observation.

Amazing museum addition to Bali, it surprises us with the amount of care and attention they have provided to the place. We came during weekday, so there was less people. I hope it gets more attention and more people can come and learn about Origin of Subak, Nyepi, and Ogoh-ogoh tradition etc. Some really cool art work with amazing craftsmanship, not to mention the staffs’ helpfulness and attentiveness. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful private owned museum inside Ayana area. Free/discount access if you sleep at Ayana. They have many traditional artefacts, ancient scrolls, and also contemporary ogoh-ogoh statues. The museum is overall themed around the Nyepi Feast of Balinese Hinduism. They have locker, a cafeteria, wide parking lot, and cooled ambience.

A great option for a museum date around the Jimbaran and Uluwatu area. I love the Balinese Subak and Nyepi concepts! They also have a library with many Balinese books. Hopefully, they can add more collections, as some areas still feel quite spacious.

A little bit expensive for Indonesia, but worth it. I was very impressed and learned a lot. It made me see Bali in a new light. What a beautiful culture. I’m glad I could learn about many of the different things I saw across the island. The architecture is gorgeous too.

I had such a good time at SAKA museum, all the guides throughout the museum were so knowledgeable and took their time answering all my questions that I had. Descriptions were easy to understand and with my interactive points in the museum. The main idea of this museum is to shed light on Melasti and Nyepi and it’s made me want to experience it for myself. Would totally recommend it if you’re looking to learn more about Balinese culture. Good to set aside 2hours ++.
