Google
I really like the ramen at this place. It's pretty close to the real thing. The prices are not too bad and the service great. The decorations keep you amused and the sign up wall was only half full when kid and I signed it. Plenty of parking!

Google
I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The service was amazing, and the food was better. I didn’t think I liked ramen from previous experiences (with the broth tasting watery) but this place has so much flavor it has simply made me picky. Their fried rice was also probably the best I’ve had. I’m from MI and and I need this place closer to home!

Google
Sakai ramen was delicious! The broth wasn’t too overpowering, noodles were chewy and I love that the toppings included chicken as well as pork. There is a small cost to make it spicy and I’ll try it next time. The fried calamari was surprisingly good too. Not too oily or overfried. The lychee and passionfruit tea were refreshing. Excellent service and food! My son and I had an enjoyable lunch…highly recommended!

Google
Went for the first time. We ordered two different ramen but seemed like the only real difference was the egg… that was a bit confusing. Must say both had a very good taste, the meat was juicy and soft. Broth was very flavorful as well. Service was quick. About a 8 to 10 mins wait for the food so not bad at all. Service can be a bit more friendly, not saying at all they were rude but the place was pretty much empty and the person brought us the check without us requesting it or finishing so I thought that was a bit out of place. That would be to improve. Place is super nice well decorated, worth the visit!

Google
Hands down! The food was amazing and great! The lady that assisted us that day was so kind. My wife was having a headache and they offered her some warm water to help her. The place is so cozy and great place to hangout also. Overall experience, this spot is great!

Google
I’m glad we try this new opening, and I have a feeling it will be our to go Ramen place. The food are delicious, the soup is very tasty and not salty at all. Noodles have golden chewy texture which is perfect. Dumplings are crispy and juicy. The service also very good, attentive and politely. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their items.

Google
The food was amazing! One of the best ramen spots in northern NJ in my opinion. We ordered Sakai Ramen, wings, Oko fries, Shio Ramen and Gyudion rice bowl. Highly recommend! The atmosphere was a bit hot due to lack of AC but not intolerable.

James Schaal

Google
Rice bowl was amazing. I also got the wings. Good portion and breaded and fried in a unique way very crispy and light. I was expecting a sauce with a Japanese flavor profile and was a little disappointed when it was a standard buffalo sauce but overall everything was tasty.

Yelp
This ramen restaurant not only serves rich, flavorful bowls of noodles but also surrounds you with stunning decor that makes every visit feel special. The inviting atmosphere pairs perfectly with the delicious ramen, creating a dining experience that's extremely satisfying. Quick service that was friendly and prompt. Definitely coming back when I'm in New Jersey.

Yelp
This is a really good ramen spot! Got the Sakai wings that were super juicy and crispy. The sauce is a very unique flavor, in between a Tabasco, Carolina bbq, and buffalo flavor. The Sakai ramen is solid. I added $1 for spicy. They were super generous with the meat here! You get both cha siu and chicken. Everything was super affordable. It's great spot for a date. It took quite a while for us to get our ramen though despite it being not too busy. I'd come back here again.

Yelp
We were in the area for the weekend and were craving ramen. Somehow we found this place in the back of a business plaza (thanks to some helpful signage) and decided to try them out. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. We started off with the Sakai wings as an appetizer. OMG these wings were hot and fresh! The sauce was like a mild hot sauce. They were so good I almost ordered another order of wings. I had the shoyu ramen. I added an egg and made it spicy for $1 more. I thought the noodles were the perfect texture! The spice level was pretty mild. Would have liked a bit more heat and overall more flavor in the broth. It was decent. I'd like to come back to try a different ramen and also the boba tea!

Yelp
It was a super cold day in NJ and I was seriously craving ramen. This spot hit the spot. I got their #1 with spice and it was delicious. The broth was rich, the noodles were perfect, and the spice gave it a great kick without being overwhelming. Super filling too, which was exactly what I needed The vibe inside was really nice and cozy, though I was surprised it wasn't busier considering how good the food was. Definitely worth checking out. I'll be coming back whenever I'm in town!

Yelp
3rd or 4th time coming here! The people are so nice. We came in around 15 minutes before closing. Even though they were rushing us a little bit (understandably), they were still polite and sweet! The fries are also surprisingly crispy. Ramen itself was okay this time.

Yelp
Service was spot on, food was excellent, the ambience of the restaurant fit the vibe well. Hope to be back soon!

Yelp
Located right in The Plaza in Secaucus, it's tucked in the rear, by the GNC. It's quiet, surrounded by the trees and very relaxing. I opted for the Sakai ramen and requested it spicy. It hit the spot on a cold rainy day. I also opted for the special that came with an appetizer and a drink. It's the best deal. The Oko fries were great, as were the chashu buns and the shumai. The lychee iced tea was wonderfully refreshing. My dad is a very picky eater and he approved so I know I'll be coming back here a lot! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very sweet and explained everything to my parents. We really enjoyed our lunch here.

Yelp
Don't miss Sakai Ramen just because it's tucked in the back. This was my second time here, and I was impressed each time. The restaurant is cozy in an unassuming space, and the wait staff is very attentive. The food comes out pretty quickly, and the ramen is served with a nice wooden ladle that makes it much easier to consume the broth. I had the shoyu ramen with a soft boil egg added, and it really hit the spot. I look forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
They don't have a lot of variety. I didn't enjoy my dish as the bottom of the plate had too much sauce and I don't like soupy rice. The chicken wings were bland and the sauce was too watery. My partner loved his soup said it had a great kick. Go try for yourself.

Yelp
Decent ramen place with hearty portions. We got the vegetable gyoza, vegetable ramen and the oko fries. The oko fries were so good. The broth for the ramen was wonderful. The gyoza were also good. Our server was very accommodating as well. The interior was so cute and cozy.

Yelp
Came here on a cold day and tried the Sakai ramen. The cha siu was done really well. Super flavorful! Generous portion. Interior decoration is modern. Not super loud which is great. The service was great. The noodles came fast and they came to refill the tea frequently. The server also came around to check on each table. Overall a great find :)

Yelp
Mmm... so good! Perfect meal on this cloudy day. The lychee ice tea and N1 . Make sure to try the spicy version for me. I can not handle spicy any more. The hostess is very nice and the anime theme made me happy!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here last night with friends. We will all travel far and wide for good, authentic, ramen. Sakai Ramen did not disappoint. Both couples ordered the Sakai Ramen for 2 combo. Spicy Sakai Ramen dish was expertly done. Perfect noodle texture, wonderful broth, tremendous flavor. The egg was perfect, and I have NEVER had more perfectly-cooked and flavorful pork belly. Shrimp tempura was excellent with sriracha Mayo. For drinks, I cannot recommend the white peach iced tea enough. It was absolutely refreshing. Service was attentive, kind, helpful, and consistent. Ambiance made me feel as though I was in Tokyo and not in secaucus. We will be back!

Yelp
Hubby decided to take me on a surprise date night after a long week!!! He knows that I love ramen and it was a cold day. We enjoyed this cozy ramen spot in Secaucus. The host/ waitress was very friendly and was kind enough to explain what some of the menu options were and so we decided on trying the Takoyaki fish cakes. The food came out the kitchen nice and hot. Everything was seasoned well and the spicy level on the miso ramen was perfect!! The decor was cute and cozy with great anime art over the walls. I shazamed the music to find that they were playing some funky sounding K-pop...I loved it! Prices were average and we had a nice time discussing all the cool art and delicious food!! We will definitely be back

Yelp
I went there for lunch on a Friday, place was almost empty. Mostly due to its location I think. I had their Sakai Ramen which was good but different from what I was hoping for. Flavors were decent but not like typical Japanese Tonkotsu ramen broth which has a deep and rich umami bone flavor. If you've never had real Tonkotsu ramen you would like Sakai. Service was pleasant and professional. Would not repeat.

Unyssa M.

Yelp
Dined here once for lunch when we were in town! Pretty decent ramen joint. Got seated immediately. The space was pretty empty. Not so much a crowd. We got the bubble tea, tonkatsu ramen, karagae Chicken, and shrimp! The food didn't disappoint us! Loved the chicken and ramen. The broth was rich and creamy!

Yelp
The food was amazing! The sauce on the chicken wings was amazing! Ramen was very good. Amazing service as well and so nice. I would recommend

Yelp
! Was slightly worried due to the low rating, but very happy we gave it a chance. The service was superb, Very friendly & accommodating staff. Ordered the sakai ramen and added spicy to it. Flavor was good, chashu was a bit too fatty for my liking, but had a good flavor. Ambiance is okay, could be decorated a bit cuter, but great for a quick stop to warm you up from the cold!! Recommend if you're looking for delicious ramen in the area~!

Yelp
We have a fantastic dining experience! We really enjoyed the ramen and Fire Chicken. The service was friendly and the place was family-friendly. It's always a nice touch when the owner checks in on guests, and an interesting interior design certainly adds to the atmosphere.

Yelp
Ramen has no business being this good in an office park in Secaucus. This place has it all- nice people, a great interior, some absolutely beautiful outdoor dining, and the ramen is REALLY good. I've been here three times and it's been fantastic and consistent on each visit. There's nothing much in this part of the world worth making a special trip for- except this place.

Yelp
Very good customer service! Had a great time here and the food was good. The restaurant was very neat and clean and spacious. Loved the ambiance and would definitely come again

Yelp
A ramen spot in the Harmon Meadows complex.. I was skeptical at first but I have to say.. this place is worthy of a visit. It was hard to find at first, as it's in the back of the complex and all the lights are out except a few flashing lights and a few letters of the "Open". There weren't many people there on a Sunday night, but I was quickly seated and served. I decided on the shoyu ramen but I made it spicy and added kikurage and an egg. It can add up quickly with the add-ons. I also ordered the shumai which came in 6 pieces and tasted like a shrimp shumai should. The ramen was hearty and filling and the shoyu was light enough to not feel totally gross and full after. I liked the wooden spoon it came with. The noodles were thin, which means you can eat a lot of them with each bite. I don't usually finish all my ramen but I did find myself continuing to slurp after most the ingredients were gone. I've never had chicken chashu before, and I think I do prefer pork, but this was a little less fatty and had a lot of flavor. Overall I would absolutely come back to Sakai. It's genuine ramen shop for sure. There isn't another ramen place for a long way in all directions so if that's what you're craving don't miss it.

Yelp
We wait for an hour and the waiter just keep ignore us even we told them that we are hurry to go.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday evening and ordered the Sakai ramen (spicy), pork chasu bun, and bubble tea as part of the "2 Sakai" combo for two people for $44 total. This was a great deal and the food was tasty! I would definitely come here again. I wish it wasn't so hidden in the shopping complex and hope more people give this spot a chance!

Yelp
It was my children's first time eating ramen and they really enjoyed it. We ordered two ramens, one rice bowl, calamari and pork buns. The portion size was decent but enough for the kids. They really liked the calamari and pork buns. I think they start to like ramen because of this restaurant.

Yelp
Was so excited to finally see a ramen place open in Secaucus! I came opening week and was seated immediately. There were several tables and a bar you could sit at. The decor was very on theme and whimsical. There were a lot of people there on a Friday night and one waitress who was great. I ordered the veggie ramen spicy with an egg and my fiancé ordered the Sakai ramen and a mango milk bubble tea. The bubble tea was a little diluted, it wasn't as creamy and sweet as others we tried in the past. Our meals came in a timely fashion. My meal was okay - I wish they give you hot oil on the side instead of dolloping a small amount on the ramen (we had to pay extra to make it spicy too). The tofu was super crispy to a point where it was hard to chew. My fiancé's ramen was more noodles than broth which he didn't prefer. Given it's their opening week, I would go back once they're situated and to also their apps.

SassyEils T.

Yelp
We came to try this newly opened restaurant. When we came there were 4 occupied tables. We wanted to to sit at a table for 4 but the server said we cannot since we were 2. I would understand her refusal if it was a busy night but was not. So, okay, we sat at the table for 2. We sat and waited, no menu was given, no water, nothing was said like "I will be right with you". Now, 2 tables seemed to be almost done. The 2 other tables appeared to be waiting for their food. We waited for at least 20 minutes then we got up and left. I cannot review the food since we were not served! No ambiance, just a regular restaurant. But never giving this restaurant another chance! There are so many ramen places outside Secacus and I'm willing to drive just to avoid this place! It should be zero stars but‍

Yelp
So glad that there is the real ramen store in town. I went there with co-workers recently. The ramen was really tasty, the broth was definitely worth to try, the pork chashu was so tender, melt in the mouth, love it! The homemade spicy sauce was so good. The Gyoza was crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. The girls there were very friendly. This would be one of the favor spots from now.
google avatar

Indira M.

Yelp
Very rich ramen with lots of toppings. The only downside is a bit slow service. Other than that I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Korgie W.

Yelp
The gentleman that served me was very attentive and went beyond. The place wasn't crowded when I first arrived and then it got very busy and he did not slack on his attentiveness. The Ramen I had was decent could've used a little bit more flavor, but all in all good.

Jenna F.

Yelp
The ramen was very delicious the service was great and the food was good no complaints I would recommend you go there

Mark W.

Yelp
Outstanding gyoza and ramen Especially attentive service Lovely seating in an Asian garden setting Fabulous

Sara S.

Yelp
Very skimpy with the ramen. Mostly noodles. Chicken tastes old and nasty. Didn't like the taste.

Lily J.

Yelp
Food is nice , service is also nice by giving us lemon with ice water, which we didnt even ask and I love this!

Lauren S.

Yelp
Food is delicious! We waited a while for our food and had to ask after 45 mins of waiting. Not sure if the server forgot or what had happened, it was an honest mistake. What makes the 5 star is as soon as the problem was addressed, the owner/manager handled it immediately and was super nice and apologetic. Very good food and an honest mistake, great staff. Would definitely come back!

Richard J.

Yelp
Awful food and service, took forever to get food never serve my drink that I ordered a simple can of soda she was to busy to bring to the table ask few times

Tet A.

Yelp
They have good ramen. The ambiance is very nice. The server was very attentive. A good new ramen place that we would not mind going to from time to time!

David S.

Yelp
I ain't even try the food shi was so expensive I just saw the menu and left some guy was walking in he was lowkey nice and yea then I went to chili's after they had a better deal but the food was type nasty I mess wit the service even tho I wasn't there so yea 5 stars I like the Naruto theme too

grace r.

Yelp
Excited to try them. There were a couple of tables seated but plenty of empty tables. We were seated by the wall near another group. I asked if we could be seated near the aisle. Was told off it's for 4 people. Mind you place was almost empty and it's 8:00pm. Waited for 15 mins for someone to just acknowledge us or even give us water. None. We left. We'll give them a bit more time and experience before we try again. Maybe improve their customer service.

Abil H.

Yelp
Love the service and hospitality here. I was sitting outside their restaurant just chilling and the lady up front came outside and asked if I wanted to drink something from their selection. Really really nice of her and I appreciate it
