We dropped in for lunch and ended up staying longer than planned. The street hums past your table while plates of chakalaka, pap, and grilled meat arrive at an easy pace. Staff were warm without hovering and the vibe felt like a family gathering you’ve been invited to. We swapped bites across the table, ordered a second round of sides, and watched tour groups drift by.
What I liked most was the mix of visitors and locals in one space. By the time we left, we’d shared a laugh with the folks at the next table and promised ourselves we’d come back on a Sunday when the street is in full voice.
