Saku Ramen

My first time here after co workers and friends telling me to try it. It was good. I got to say the rice was good. The soup was great too. My son say 3/5 wife says 4/5 and I say 5/5 my son said chicken was a little chewy, my wife loved the rice. I loved the fact that it’s open 24hrs. They have different drinks. Japanese style atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place is clean. They have a bar. I would recommend it. Try it out. You want late night food this is the place for cold weather. Winter food.

Downtown Riverside is the place to be! This Ramen house delivered!!! I wanted something creamy, meaty, and above all spicy. This place was not a disappointment. The basic soup is $15 bucks and you can add other stuff for extra. The Japanese pork did leave me wanting but it gave my soup more flavor. I was thinking a piece of pork grilled but it was more pork belly than anything. The employees are amazing and the vibe is really good. Sit on a high chair so you can get real intimate with your ramen 😝😝🥵🥵 My bill came out to $50 bucks but it was completely worth it. They have free water so skip on the drinks if you're on a budget. 100% Recommended!!!

Did not expect this ramen place to more of a “grab your own food” style. It edges toward a slightly industrial vibe with steel tables and brick. Very atypical of most ramen spots. I got the chicken broth with vegan noodles, with added pork and egg with a side of edamame. The pork was the worst I’ve ever had. It was tough, overly chewy and lacked any taste. The egg was cold, and they don’t have ramen spoons, but instead give you a regular plastic spoon. Very odd. Additionally, I got hot green tea, which they served with a run of the mill tea in a plastic cup. is this a super low budget spot? Edamame was average, but for the price wouldn’t recommend getting as it comes in a small plastic to-go bowl but charge you $5?! I can get a giant bag of edamame from Costco for the same price. The staff was nice.

It would have been delicious… at least that’s how i tasted it and as well as my mom. I am not difficult to please but man, my kidneys were shocked on how salty the dan noodles. We were so excited to eat here.. I don’t know if we were just unlucky tonight. The order taker asked if i want my extra ground beef to be on the side or just added directly on my noodles.. but being so trusting i put mine straight to my noodles without tasting it first and the dan noodles turned into a big box of pure salt taste. My mom got the dan noodles with chicken and egg.. i understand that the egg is salted but the even her noodles were just really salty. How many times did i use salty? I like salty food but i hope they would taste it first before they serve it because it has become mega salty dan noodles. Just frustrated. My husband on the other hand had the killer bowl and it’s alright. Spicy. Please review your salt content. I want this place to thrive. I hope. Merry kidneys to me! Let’s enjoy the Festival of Lights.

Hip and cool with food to match. The extra spicy soup was actually spicy but not unbearable. Gets busy so be prepared to wait.

Chose this place for dinner after seeing the rave reviews and was left disappointed. There was a bit of a wait due to the festival of lights which is understandable but in the end not worth the 30 mins, ordered the tori ramen with chicken, yellow noodles, just right spice with additional egg and corn, a fried rice bowl, and gyozas. The broth is what I was most excited for but it was just shy of being bland, little to no flavor. The noodles seemed more like undercooked pasta, not chewy or springy like noodles should be. The chicken was flavorless, tough and overcooked. The egg was ice cold and only slightly marinated, save yourself the $2.25. The fried rice smelled and tasted burnt with bits of burnt chicken. The only good thing were the gyoza but those come from a bag. The pricing is ok for what it is however you could make this at home for less and with way better flavor, do not be fooled like I was and don't waste your money. Side note, the restroom was absolutely toxic and filthy, stank up the whole dining area nearby.

I was invited here as a first timer. Automatically 10 stars without even knowing This joint is located in downtown riverside !!!!! I absolutely enjoyed my ramen bowl. The whole staff welcomed me as a first timer and even at 1 AM this place was packed. I cannot wait to return back to riverside to indulge in another bowl. Great food & great service

After getting my food corrected 3 times it was really great. The food itself was the only saving grace. The service was absolutely horrendous. The girl touching her hair 6 times with gloves on the putting together people's trays was top tier. The seating was a jungle. People purposely invading your space in hopes you'll leave faster for them to sit. Had some girl shake her hair over my food. I literally have never been so enraged over a 100 dollar meal before. Will not be coming back.
