"Saku is the nickname of the chef of this establishment tucked away behind a nondescript façade. He and his wife, both of whom are Japanese, prepare jubilant Gallic cuisine in keeping with today’s tastebuds. The produce is fresh, the dishes are meticulously prepared, at common-sense prices, and the service is friendly; an enjoyable experience." - Michelin Inspector

Had a wonderful dining experience at this cozy Japanese fusion restaurant that left a lasting impression. My husband and I both opted for the menu du soir. Our meal began with an amuse bouche that reminded me of oden. This was followed by an octopus dish that was light and refreshing. There was a brief mix-up with my order due to a translation hiccup on my husband's part, but it led to a delightful surprise: an amazing duck dish that was flavorful and perfectly cooked. For dessert, I had a delightful cheese selection, while my husband chose a decadent chocolate ice cream paired with a chocolate nut bar. To top it all off, we enjoyed a unique wasabi macaron, which added an intriguing twist to our sweet ending. Overall, it was the perfect meal, blending comfort and creativity. I highly recommend making reservations, as I saw a group get turned away. The chef even came out to greet everyone. This place is definitely worth a visit!

It was an amazing experience ! We went there for my husband's birthday and we were surprised by their food. Delicious food accompanied with great hospitality. Without any doubt it’s one of the best French restaurants in Lyon. Highly recommend to try and enjoy their wonderful cuisine inspired from Japan.

It was the best meal I had in France so far, within the same price range. The appetizer really surprised me, and dishes were flavorful and delicious. At the end of the meal the chef also came to say hello and asked how it was, which I found it very nice.

Good and tasty food. There is a combination of Japanese and French cuisines and cooking style. The products were fresh and the service was extremely polite. We got an unexpected macaron at the taste of wasabi. The night we were there, the place was half crowded and the service was very attentive to all of us. I recommend

This is a legendary transformative experience. I'd rate this 6 stars if I could. I've been twice and both times it has changed my life. I still remember my meal here from 4 years ago, and I'll remember the meal I had here today for years to come as well. The food has transcended being good and instead is pure artistry on a plate. It looks as good as it tastes too. The chef is obviously very passionate about cooking and personally greets and serves every guest himself when he isn't in the kitchen cooking. For those looking at the price and wondering if you want to spend that much on dinner, my advice to you, is just do it, and you'll walk out saying to yourself that you'd spend three times the amount just to eat here again. I cannot say enough good things about it. Shut up and go eat there.

It was a French restaurant by a Japanese chef. Taste is so nice, high quality with good price. The atmosphere inside is a bit simple. (無機質な印象) Overall, it’s nice place to have a good French!

Stellar food and service with a warm, comforting atmosphere. Each course of the soir menus has strong notes of both Japanese and French cuisine. All courses were executed masterfully with delicious and beautiful results. They have a bib gourmand for now, but you can tell they have their sights set on a Michelin star. With such a great menu and the skill to match, that star is surely coming sooner rather than later. There are very few available seats so be sure to reserve ahead.

Amazing dining experience on our first evening in Lyon. Multiple course meal, everything very tasty and interesting with loads of flavor, good wine, excellent service, and the chef came by to say hello at the end. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Bonjour. What a lovely restaurant, no wonder it is a recognized Michelin star restaurant. While it is described as Japanese / French influence, I felt it was heavier on the French side. The food was delicate with very beautiful multi-noted flavors. Sometimes the star of the dish is just the medley of veggies accompanied by the entree. Their menu changes so what u see in my pics pay change by the time u get here. The formula aka set menu was priced under 50 euros per person. The extra touch is the chef coming out to meet all his guest. Highly recommended for the foodies.
